Mini Fanfic #1206: Uncle & Auntie Datin' Time (SSBU X Darkstalkers)
1:45 p.m. at the Local Smash Park.......
Morrigan: (Sighs Happily as She Sits Next Dedede on the Bench Together, Watching the Smash Kids Play Among Themselves in the Distance) Such a nice, glorious day to be out in about. (Lays the Side of her Head Next to her Boyfriend) Just you, me, and those adorable babies of yours running around and about~
Dedede: Yeah, they're a cute bunch alright. 'Specially when they don't try and prank me 24/7.
Morrigan: (Starts Snuggling Up on De's Arm) Awww~ Has my poor, darling king been a victim of those pranking shenanigans of theirs as of late?~
Dedede: ('Sigh') Yeah, but it's been longer than that unfortunately. Years long.
Morrigan: Oh my~
Dedede: Right!? And like, I don't even get it! They're a bunch of other people living in the mansion they can prank, yet for SOME reason, they always end up choosing me as the target. Ain't that some shit?
Morrigan: (Nodded in Agreement) I know and understand your pain completely, my dear. (Rolls her Eyes a Bit) I cannot begin to describe all the times times Lilith would try and prank me growing up. I will give you a hint, however. There's two more 0's ends next to the number 10.
Dedede: (Eyes Widened a Bit Once He Figured Out the Math) Damn. She really pranked you that many times?
Morrigan: ('Sigh') With no hint of predictability what so ever. But we are both much older women now. So I hope my dear sister has the same level of sense and maturity as I do and- (Turns and Glares Towards a Bush in the Mid Distance) NOT try to prank in broad DAYLIGHT!!
Lilith let's out cute sounding 'Eep!' before quickly high-tailing herself out of the bush she was hiding in.
Dedede: (Chuckles Lightly) You ain't gotta worry about a thing, baby girl. (Wrap his Arm Around his Girlfriend) I'll keep ya safe from all the prakin' going on here.
Morrigan: (Heart Begins to Melt Before Happily Hugging Up on Dedede Once More) My hero!~ Such a wonderful king and uncle you are~
Dedede: ('Sighs Relaxingly') I do my best with what I do, mostly on the uncle side. My folks are never gonna believe it if they were here to see me now.
Morrigan: What were your folks were like growing up?
Dedede: Proper, strict, uppity, never had time and patience for BS and foolishness-
Morrigan: (Forms a Teasing Smirk) Kinda like you you?~(Playfully Boops on Dedede's Beak)
Dedede: (Chuckles Ticklishly) Hey, I can let loose every once and a while! Those two had always been uptight and bitter, up until the very end of their lifespan.
Morrigan: The same applies to my parents as well. (Sighs While Rolling her Eyes) There's never been time or day where they haven't been overbearing and bossy towards my sister and I or at the worst, judgemental....
Dedede: (Raises an Eyebrow) Judgemental on what exactly?
Morrigan: Our life choices. They were so hellbent on preparing the both of us to rise in becoming the Queens of the Night that they deem any regular professions and hobbies we any interest in, as worthless and time wasting.
Dedede: (Scoffs While Thinking Back to his Childhood Memories) I can relate to that too! My folks been pestering me on and on in how to be more proper prince going into king-hood and blending into snobby, pompus lifestyle so much that I decided to rebel a lot!....(Grabs his Chin) Which, now that I said it out loud, might possibly been one of the reasons how I ended up a villain in the first place, before coming here.
Morrigan: (Places her Hand into her Cheek) I can't imagine how my life would be like if I didn't have a single ounce of rebellious side within me. I'd probably be the most boring succubus alive.....(Went Back to Hugging Up Dedede Yet Again While Giving Him Puppy Dog Eyes) And I wouldn't have met you either!~
Dedede: (Gives Morrigan a Reassuring Smile) Nah, I'm sure we would've bump into one another in the different lifetime. (Frowning a Bit) Possibly hating each other's guts, while we're both more conniving and evil than we've ever been- You know, on second thought, maybe it's best we have changed for the better.
Morrigan: (Smiles Lovingly at Dedede) I couldn't agree more, my fare darling king~
Dedede looks deep into Morrigan's sincere, love-filled eyes as he smiles back as the two then leans in for the kiss-
'A-Hem'
.......Only for them to stop and turn their heads towards the Smash Kids staring at the both of them. Some of which are smirking.
Morrigan: (Happily Waves at the Kids) Hello, darlings!~ is something the matter?~
Dedede: Yeah, y'all bored or somethin'?
Ness: No, we're having a blast out here so far.
Toon: We're just here to make sure you two are well acquainted with one another.
Jr: And to make sure nothing stupid happens amd that you don't mess anything up down the line
Kids: (Simply Nodded in Agreement) Mmmhmm.
Dedede: (Stares at the Kids For a Brief Second Before Glaring at Them) The hell do you nosy little brats think you are, our chaperones!?
Morrigan: (Lightly Slaps Dedede's Arm While Playfully Pouting at Him) Dedede! Do not be mean to your precious nieces and nephews!~
Popo: Yeah, what Auntie Morrigan said!
Morrigan: Exactl- ('GASPS') (Happily Clasps her Hands Together) You all see as an Auntie!?~
Nana: (Happily Nodded) Yeah. You seemed like pretty nice lady so far.
Ness: And you seemed to treat our Uncle well enough.
Jr: (Rolls his Eyes) Still don't know what you see in him though.
Sage: (Pouts at Junior Beside Her as She Gently Squeezes his Hand) Junior, be nice. (Turns Back Dedede and Morrigan with a Soft Smile) We're very happy to see you two enjoying each other's company.
Ashley: All we ask is that you continue to love and care for our uncle going forward.
Lucas: He's very important to us. (Gives Morrigan a Darkened Looking Glare on his Face) Don't hurt him.
Morrigan: (Genuinely Surprised by Lucas' Glare Along with Dedede) Oh my.
Lucas: (Immediately Turns Back into his Shy, Timid Self) I-I'm sorry! That glare wasn't too harsh, was it?
Ashley: (Gives her Boyfriend a Reassuring Smile While Gently Patting the Top of hus Head, Helping him Feel Better) That was a wonderful glare, dear. There's no need to be sorry~
Dedede: ('Psh') I mean. That is something worth apologize fo-
Ashley: (Immediately Gives Dedede Her Signature Death Glare)
Dedede: I-I-I mean! (Quickltly Gives Lucas a Reassuring and Terrified Smile) It's fine, Lucas. Really. I-I just....didn't think you had it in ya to glare like that is all. It's very impressive looking
Lucas: (Starts Smiling) Thank you!~ Ashley's been teaching me a thing or two to be more assertive and Intimidating as of late.
Ashley: (Smiles Proudly) I believe he's making progress thus far.
Dedede: (Rolls his Eyes a Bit While Scoffibg and Whispering into Morrigan's Ear) Yeah, too much progress if you ask-
Ashley and Lucas both gives Dedede Death Glares, shutting him up completely as he gulps.
Morrigan: (Smiles Softly) There's no need forbyou to worry, children. (Hugs Dedede's Arm) I promise give your uncle the love and respect he most certainly deserves~
Dedede: (Smiles Softly at his Girlfriend) Yeah and I'll do the same for her as well. Now will you leave us be now?
Ness: We will. But first......(Forms a More Mischievous Grin on his Face as He and the Others Pulls Out Cans of Party Streamers In Their Hands)
Dedede: (Eyes Widened in Fear) Oh no-
Dedede and Morrigan immediately gets sprayed with krazy strings in multiple different colors.
Dedede: (Starts Growling With Anger) DAMN, KIDS!
Toon: He's fuming! Scatter!
The kids giggles as quickly made their escape with some running away and Ashley and Sage teleporting their two respective boys away with them.
Dedede: (Groans in Annoyance Before Turning Back Morrigan) You see what I had time deal with everyday?
Morrigan: (Gives Dedede Ankther Reassuring Smile) Don't be too harsh on them, dear. They're only having harmless fun- Ah! (Suddenly Gets Pelted with Three Water Balloons to the Face, Causing her Hair and Clothes to Get Wet)
'Splash' 'Splash' 'Splash'
Morrigan: What in the- (Turns to See her Younger Sister Hiding Behind a Tree Before Turning Back to Dedede) Excuse me, dear, would you excuse me for a minute? (Glares Menacingly at her Sister Hiding) I have a brat of a sister to punish.
Lilith: EEP! (Starts Running Away From the Wrath of her Older Sister, Dropping Off a Bunch of Other Ballons in the Ground) Abort! ABORT!!!
Morrigan: (Starts Chasing her Little Sister to Kingdom Come) LILITH AENSLAND, IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR FAT ARSE BACK HERE RIGHT THIS INSTANT- (Continues Screaming Her Lungs Out)
Dedede: (Let's Out a Wholehearted Laugh as He Watches his Girlfriend Go) You get 'er, girl.

Word Count - 3201 Words
“Absolutely not, Feyre. No way. Not a chance!” Rhysand insisted for the third time in less than an hour. He may love his mate to the end of his existence and beyond, but his patience was becoming increasingly limited.
It didn’t help Feyre’s case that she was attempting to have this rather alarming conversation whilst Rhys was turning his office upside down, trying to locate an important document that had escaped his attention.
“Why not?” Feyre begged, bouncing her son energetically on her hip and following Rhys across the room as he frantically searched through his neatly arranged files, papers flying everywhere.
“I am not spending a weekend in the woods with half our inner circle, a toddler, and Lucien freaking Vanserra!” Rhys huffed.
“Okay, first of all, it’s not half the inner circle; it’s my sisters and their mates - one of whom happens to be your brother!” Feyre stated plainly, rolling her eyes at her mate’s usual dramatics. “Secondly, I thought you and Lucien were okay now?”
“Well, yes, okay to share dinner and a drink with, not to huddle around a campfire, darling”, he groaned.
“Daddy’s grumpy,” Nyx said to Feyre, hiding a giggle behind his tiny hands. Rhys stuck his tongue out to his son, of course, he would take his mother’s side. The cheeky baby just blew a raspberry back in response.
“I really think this could be good for us, Rhys,” Feyre tried again, ignoring her two boys’ antics and glancing over at her mate’s desk. “I love our lives, and the responsibility we have for this court, but even the High Lord and Lady need a break from time to time. We’ve barely seen each other the past few weeks,”
Feeling the twinges of guilt starting to gnaw at his gut, Rhys looked from his son to his wife just in time to see her pull the exact paper he needed from his desk with knowing eyes. He supposed he had been overdoing it a little the last month or so. Sighing, he reached for the paper with one hand and hooked an arm around Feyre’s waist with the other.
“I know things have been busy at the moment, but once this treaty is drafted and we’ve managed to convince everyone to sign it, then I’m all yours again, darling,”
“You need a break, Rhys,” Feyre sighed.
“When I do eventually go back to it, I’m able to see exactly what I need to do to make it work better,” Feyre said gently, looking at Rhys with such care and warmth in her eyes. “Clearly, all this extra work has your head muddled if you couldn’t find a paper right there on your desk. Give yourself a break, and come back with fresh eyes. The treaty will be all the better for it.”
“And what about Nyx? We can’t take him off into the woods. He’s too young,” Rhys replied, stroking his son’s cheek as he looked at his father with such innocent and loving eyes.
“Mor said she will happily babysit for a couple of days,”
“Aunty Mor! Aunty Mor!” Nyx squealed, clapping his pudgy hands together in excitement.
“You’d love that, wouldn’t you, baby? A whole weekend with Aunty Morrigan,” Feyre said to her son, tickling his round tummy.
Rhysand walked over to his plush velvet couch and flopped down theatrically.
“But why can’t we just throw him an obnoxiously large party like a normal Fae male. Why does it have to be in a forest?”
“Because Elain wanted to plan something special for the first birthday he’ll celebrate as part of a mated couple. She knows he loves the outdoors and thought it would be a great opportunity for us all to go on a family trip. Please, Rhys! Do it for me!”
“Oh, for caldron’s sake! Fine. But I’m not sharing a tent with Cass, no matter how much he begs!” Rhys insisted, giving his mate the most adorable of pouts.
Two weeks later, with a backpack full of supplies and her mate in tow, Feyre sludged through the thick mud and jumped over the tree roots which lay intertwined on the forest floor. Rhysand followed behind her, much less enthusiastically clambering through the woods, a solemn look upon his face, as his wife continued to drag him by the hand, and they fell behind the rest of their group.
Lucien and Elain were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, leading the group with an impressive energy that Rhys believed could only be explained by their newly formed bond. No one could possibly be that excited to trudge through the woods, he thought. Bouncing along the woodland route, Lucien had not stopped talking for the five hours they’d been walking. Elain was practically skipping alongside him, giving him her most rapt attention.
In typical fashion, Cassian and Nesta, who lingered in the middle of the pack, had spent the day jumping between arguing uncontrollably and restraining themselves from ripping each other’s clothes off. Rhys swore to himself on hour three that if he caught one more scent of their arousal upon the wind, he would winnow himself and Feyre right back home, damn the consequences.
Elain had chosen the Erebus forest on the border between the courts of Night and Day because it was known for its beautiful pathways and glittering lakes. The trees were still lush with leaves despite the autumn days creeping in, leaving the landscape rich with burnished gold, deep russet and warm copper foliage. The most extensive woodland in the entirety of the Night Court, the Erebus forest was the centre of a vast amount of local folklore, much of which Rhysand had been told by his mother in childhood. Tales of devious tricksters and terrifying beasts that prowled the woods were passed down through generations of Night Court young. As the High Lord over this territory, though, Rhysand had never found evidence to suggest that these stories were anything more than myths which warned children against getting lost in such a dense forest.

Rhysand’s poor mood was punctuated by the slow and steady drip drip drip of rain. “I knew this was a terrible idea,” Rhys mumbled, slicking his damp hair out of his eyes.
“Rhysand!” Feyre exclaimed, stopping dead in her tracks with a venomous look in her eyes and raindrops dripping off the end of her nose. “You survived the blood rite, have fought in some of the deadliest battles in Prythian’s history, and have literally been brought back from death, yet a bit of rain is sending you over the edge?”
Rhysand looked at his muddy feet, raindrops dripping from his eyelashes in shame. He may be hating every moment of this trip, but he could not stand the thought of letting his wife down.
“I didn’t have a choice with those things. I did them to survive. This is supposed to be … fun,” he grimaced, shivering on the spot. “Why can’t we just winnow to a camping spot?”
“You know why. Lucien and Elain have asked we do everything authentically. No magic.”
“Urgh,” he groaned like a petulant child.
“Rhys, I love you so much, but I need you to stop whining! You’re driving me mad,” Feyre begged, feeling dangerously close to the end of her tether.
“Hey, I think this would be a good place to stop and set up camp,” Lucien shouted, interrupting Feyre’s tense glare. Replacing her frown with a smile, she once again grabbed Rhysand’s hand and dragged him along.
It took Rhys and Feyre roughly forty minutes to pitch their tent. Twice as long as Cassian and Nesta, who, after high-fiving and giving one another a delighted grin, sat back and critiqued everyone else’s technique.
The copse of trees under which they set up camp didn’t do much to shield them from the rain that was teaming down in buckets. Still, once the storm began to subside and a fire was built, they could at least start warming themselves.
Rhysand had decided for his mate, and his mate alone, he would try to seem more enthusiastic. So when Lucien suggested he could teach the other two males how to catch fish from a nearby river with their bare hands, Rhys was the first to roll up his sleeves and jump in the freezing water.
Feyre and her sisters, who chose to watch in amusement from the edge of the water, did not even attempt to stifle their laughter. After all, you rarely get front-row seats to watch the High Lord of the Night Court and his general splash around aggressively in water to bolster their male pride.
Lucien was successful in his endeavour and caught a good amount of sizeable fish, which would easily fill the bellies of the entire group. Cassian and Rhys, however, were slightly less successful. Cassian had managed to catch a fish, but it was barely as big as his thumb. Rhys, on the other hand, had caught everything but a fish. An old boot, several empty bottles of fae wine and numerous twigs now lined the bank of the river and stared mockingly at Rhysand, who was beginning to doubt his own skills.
Feyre was right. He had survived much worse conditions than this, he’d even been through much more severe forms of camping than this. During the blood rite, he had been separated from his brothers and had to fight his way back to them, all whilst trying to keep himself alive in the process. He hadn’t thought twice about it back then. He was getting too comfortable with his life in Velaris. Getting used to the calm of a post-war Prythian. Yes, he and his mate had piles of work to keep them busy, treaties to sign, and alliances to make, but all in all, they were in an excellent position, a period of great contentment. That thought made Rhysand’s stomach squeeze. He should not, could not, let himself get complacent.
From then on, Rhysand decided to utilise this trip as an opportunity to re-engage with his survival instincts. Perhaps he could even learn a trick or two from his Autumn Court companion. He would never admit it to Lucien, but some sly observation of his obvious skills would harm no one. And, if his active participation in the group kept his mate happy, then Rhys was even more convinced to oblige.
With his newfound vigour, Rhysand pulled Feyre into his lap whilst dinner was roasted over the campfire. Her suspicions about her mate's sudden change of heart soon disappeared as the fae wine that Elain had snuck into her travel sack began to flow, and laughter echoed around the campsite.
A few hours later, giddy from the wine and encouraged by the slowly setting sun, Rhysand dipped his head into the crook of his mate's neck and began to plant gentle kisses against her soft skin. Within seconds, Feyre turned in his lap, eyes alight with craving, and her lips pressed against his own. His hands slid down her spine and cupped her backside as he let out a low groan.
Just as Rhys slipped his tongue between Feyre's parted lips, the lovers were jerked harshly back into reality by an unamused Nesta.
“For the love of the mother, please stop before I puke up the remains of dinner,” Nesta drawled, giving her sister a pointed look.
“Oh come on, Nesta, as though you and Cass haven’t been giving each other sex eyes all night,” Feyre laughed, as Cassian shrugged in agreement, and Nesta elbowed him in the side.
“At least we are holding back until we get to the tent,” Nesta retorted, raising one eyebrow in a blatant challenge.
Although the sisters were debating who the horniest couple was, there was none of the bitterness that used to linger between them. Since Nyx’s birth, Feyre and Nesta had worked on repairing the fractured parts of their relationship, and though things had been tentative for a while, this sisterly teasing was a clear step in the right direction.
Rhysand’s heart swelled for his mate. He knew just how much this newly developing relationship meant to her, and from the warm smile radiating from his brother, he could tell it meant a lot to Nesta, too.
“All that steamy smut you read and your sister sharing one kiss with her mate is sending you over the edge?” Feyre retorted, a quizzical grin brightening her beautiful face.
“That smut doesn’t require me to watch my sister getting her ass squeezed!” Nesta huffed, amusement sparkling in her eyes.
“Pfft, as if Elain and I aren’t painfully aware that you and Cassian have fucked on every available surface in the House of Wind,”
An awkward cough interrupted the quick retort that was teetering on the edge of Nesta’s lips, and all eyes swung to Cassian, who was rubbing the back of his neck in evident discomfort.
“I hate to break it to you ladies,” Cassian said, low and quiet, as though he was revealing his most precious of secrets. “But I don’t think either of you is the Archeron sister that needs worrying about!”
Nesta and Feyre, along with their mates, all readjusted their gazes towards Elain, who was sat in her mate’s lap, sharing kisses and sensually moving her fully clothed hips against his. She was blissfully ignorant to her sister’s shock as Lucien’s hands slid up both sides of her dress, and she threw back her head in pleasure, allowing him to kiss down her exposed neck towards her chest.
“Oh gods, that’s enough socialising for today. I’m going to bed!” Nesta cried, almost tripping over herself in an effort to unsee what was now burned deeply into her mind.
“Yeah, good plan. Great plan!” Feyre squeaked, cheeks getting hotter by the second, as her desire to winnow away as far as possible grew exponentially.
Rhysand had to laugh as his mate clumsily hurried away towards the tent. What did she expect going away with a freshly mated couple? Even if the initial frenzy had eased off, the first year of a new bond was filled with passion and numerous instances where all rational thought went out of the window. Even now, three years after his own mating bond was cemented, Feyre and Rhys often struggled to resist each other.
Catching up to Feyre, Rhys wrapped his arms around his mate's middle and tucked his head into her neck, nipping at her earlobe.
“I didn’t know you were so easy to make blush, my love,” Rhys chuckled in her ear.
“I didn’t expect to see my sister dry-humping her mate tonight, that’s all,” Feyre replied, laughing too.
"Let's go for a walk, Darling," Rhys purred.
Feyre turned in his arms, a sly grin on her face as she clasped Rhysand's hand in her own, and together, they wandered deeper into the woods, away from the prying ears of their fae brethren.
Breathless from excitement, Rhys twirled his mate towards him, picked her up and pushed her against a nearby tree. As their lips met, teeth clashing in their eagerness, Feyre scraped her nails against Rhysand’s scalp in the way she knew always made the male shiver with anticipation.
Rhys nipped and sucked at Feyre’s lower lip, sliding his hands under her thick jumper and lazily working them up her body. Tracing the bottom of her lacy bra around to the back, Rhys was moments away from undoing the clasp when a sharp sound perforated the heated silence of the woods.
The snap of the twig had the lovers on instant high alert. Rhys tried to reassure himself that perhaps it was just one of the other couples from their party, who, like Feyre and himself, felt like a midnight tryst under the stars. But then, in the distance, a soft flickering light melted through the frigid black of night.
“What is that?” Feyre faltered, peering around her mate’s shoulder to better see the potential danger ahead.
"I don't know, but it's coming this way. Perhaps it's time to leave." Rhys replied, gripping Feyre's waist more firmly but lowering her to the ground to give her the chance to run if needed.
As the light drew ever closer, it became apparent that the source of light did not come from the lamp of another weary traveller or even as the result of a predator out in the dead of night ready to catch some unsuspecting prey. Instead, it appeared that the glow was produced by a small, illuminated, floating creature.
"Fireflies?" Feyre asked, squinting into the distance. The couple's fae hearing picked up the sound of tiny wings fluttering against the brisk autumn air as the light danced closer.
"No, they look like-"
"Butterflies!" Feyre gasped as dozens of dazzling butterflies swirled around them like autumn leaves on the breeze, leaving a gleaming trail in the path behind them.
Feyre reached out a hand and let out a small laugh as one of the creatures landed on her index finger, its magic bouncing off her own, sending a warm tingle throughout her body.
Then, as quickly as the golden butterflies appeared, they began to drift off and were, one by one, swallowed by the shadows. Only the gentle butterfly on Feyre's hand remained, casting a glow that lit her face with wonder.
Slowly taking flight, the beautiful creature seemed to beckon Feyre to follow it deeper into the woods. Feyre felt in her very soul that it was of the utmost importance that she went with it, and she shared this thought with her mate. Rhysand, however, was uncertain. He scoured his memory for any recollection of a creature quite like this, with luminous wings and a beckoning pull, but he came up short. The only tale he could remember was of the Will-o'-the-wisp, tricky little beasts who masqueraded as distant lamp lights, only to deceive weary travellers into getting lost, often leading them into mortal danger, delivering them to foul monsters who would gladly tear them apart. But, in all the stories he had heard of these characters, they had never taken the form of such placid creatures.
"Come on," Feyre beamed, striding forward, sparkling eyes wide.
"Feyre no!" Rhys replied, reaching a hand out towards her, but he merely blinked, and his mate had disappeared into the inky night.

I feel kind of bad that I'm not that interested in Scylla over the course of the show? After ruminating over it, I found that it seems that Scylla works best as a dynamic character, challenging others or being challenged. That's why she shined most in late S1 and through S2, working with Anacostia and Willa, and even the stretches in S3 when she's paired with Nicte or Edwin. When Scylla is actively influencing other people through her actions, that's when I like her best. (Seriously, I could watch Anacostia and Scylla doing The Witch from AUNTIE as its own show.) But once we get into later S3, no matter what they say on paper about her being one of the unit now, that rings false. The chemistry isn't nearly as good (though to be fair, even the core trio chemistry was kind of muted outside of reunion hugs). Especially once Raelle disappears, the threads of conflict where Scylla might strike sparks with Abigail and Tally vanish in favor of her just being desperate and the other two trying to comfort her, but not in a way that digs into them learning about each other the way they did with Raelle. And, of course, Anacostia is split off on her own storyline. Scylla's edge is still there on paper from Morrigan's Whisper, but no one gives a fuck about the ethics of it, so it still feels like her Spree parts were wholly transferred to Nicte. What's left is Necro, but since the Mycelium is being interfered with it also just doesn't go far, while Izadora is holding down the "Necros are weird" fort. Raelle and Scylla's role in S1 was to question the militarism, and that thread got dropped. No one ever made real amends to them. (The "military wrongs" part was re-centered on the Tally/Alder/Nicte drama, but all that did was submit to Great (Wo)Man Theory, like it was all fixed by Alder stepping down.) Raelle is a pretty passive character, so once she's got the chip out of her shoulder, that pairing needs Scylla to not just follow her lead, but to pull her towards causes that don't fully align with everyone else's. If both of them are falling into line, there's something missing (which is why I was honestly pretty bored by the wedding! let them be weirdo necros Abigail!). Maybe I'm just too old to be compelled by plain Zuko redemption now (especially when the show provides so many more "I support women's war crime wrongs" MILFscharacters to have fun watching). But I also have a trend of preferring the trashfire subtext ships over the canon "cute capital-r Representation! we're so authentic! no problematic allowed!" femslash.
#motherland fort salem#not tagging this properly for reasons#category: tv#category: femslash#5#scylla ramshorn#raelle collar#is their ship name raella? collarshorn? ramscollar?#raelle x scylla#all good ships should be little a fucked up. as a treat

Veiltober Day 3 - Fade
Name: Rook Brosca-Aranai de Riva Pronouns: They/Them Race/Class: Qunari Spellblade Faction: The Antivan Crows Background: The adoptive Qunari child of Warden-Commander Beth Brosca and Zevran Aranai, trained in magic by her aunt Morrigan, and now leader of the Veilguard.
Rook’s first trip to the fade was a dream.
The magic had wrapped around them as a child, luring them into a glittering glade where wisps danced around their feet. They had run wild among blurring trees, chased birds, and played peekaboo with rabbits, unaware of the danger. This dreaming world was perfect, until the demon arrived.
It took the form of a crow, perched on a fallen log at the edge of the clearing, cooing at them about their deepest feelings.
Your parents are always leaving you behind, leaving you with Morrigan and Leo. Leaving you with Keiran. They’re afraid of you, afraid of your powers. A Qunari child is one thing, but a Qunari mage?
Keiran’s parents love him, they accept his magic. They relish it. He’s stronger than you. More powerful.
Are you jealous?
You could be so much more than you are.
Rook stares at the crow, head tilted. Long brown hair cascades down their back, wild and free, tangling around their short horns. The creature's words make them pause to think, reflecting on the decade of their life before this moment.
“Stronger?” Rook pushes themself to their feet, smiling. They approach the crow, leaning down to be closer to its level. “I think I’m strong enough!”
Mortals like you can only be so strong. I could give you power beyond your wildest dreams.
“Wildest dreams?” Rook frowns. “I don’t think my dreams are very wild. I like my life.”
I-
“You don’t know me.” They straighten up, looking around. “This is the Fade, this is my dream. Auntie Morrigan taught me about this, I have power here!”
Reaching out, they pull on the humming magic in their veins and close their fingers around the leather wrapped hilt of their mother’s dagger. Rook had stolen it once, as a much smaller child, sneaking out of bed and rifling through their mothers bags to snoop. The dagger had been much to big even for their larger-than-average child body, and they had given it a few clumsy swings before being caught.
Their father had found them, pretending to fight a stump outside, and had struggled to hide his laughter. Zevran had crouched beside them, wrapped his arms around theirs, and walked them through some simple steps. They had trained for a few minutes, before Zevran took the knife back and carried them back to bed, making them promise to keep this a secret from their mother.
She knew, of course, but she let father and child carry out their late night training wrapped in secrecy. Over breakfast she would whisper corrections to their fathers form and his weaknesses, the two of them laughing when he grew suspicious of their scheming.
“I know you, you’re Envy.” Rook smiles. “I may be jealous, but not so jealous I’m gonna team up with you!”
Now Rook grasps the knife with confidence, lunging forward. Fast and true, the way her parents taught her. The knife pierces the crows breast and-
-Rook wakes in a cold sweat. Their head hurts and their mouth tastes like bitter oranges, but they’re back in their bed in the waking world. Out their window they can see the sky lightning as the sun rises, welcoming them home from the Fade.
For a moment they consider curling back up and going back to sleep, but the allure of the morning calls to them. They kick their sheets back and slip out of bed, leaving behind that shifting glade and the bitter sting of envy.

Throwing you the reverse card: BG3 and Dragon Age 😉
:D
BG3
The first character I first fell in love with: this is kind of cheating, but I made my girl Sabine in early access and then didn't stop thinking about her for the like 2 years or so it took for the actual game to come out. I still love her. Otherwise hmm in my first playthrough I really liked Astarion and Alfira
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I was actually super meh about Minthara at first. It took a little more time + learning her character to get into her. I also hated Shadowheart in EA because she was rude and I took it personally LOL they're both big faves now obviously
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Gortash... there are a lot of other villains that have much better hair
The character I love that everyone else hates: Maybe Araj Oblodra, she had some controversy going in the fuckable bg3 character poll. I also really like Yenna, I see a lot abt how annoying she is but I think she's so sweet.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Astarion...I still like him, but after playing the game a few times/ways other characters just resonate with me more
The character I would totally smooch: Mizooorrrrraaaaaaaaaa
The character I’d want to be like: I'm not sure! Maybe Karlach, she has a good attitude
The character I’d slap: most of the druids...Volo...Aradin
A pairing that I love: I'm still on my Minthara/Alfira train, also deep in the Minthara/Florrick fan club right now (and this modern au!). Alfira/Lakrissa, Isobel/Aylin, Danis/Bex, Shadowheart/Nocturne, Karlach/Wyll, all very good pairings that I adore too. I've also been reading Mimetoist's Minthara/Halsin fic and loving it, I like that ship a lot.
A pairing that I despise: I don't like Durge/Gortash! I don't like Gortash and I think there are more compelling ships for Durge, like WYLL. Monster hunter hero who won't give up on the one born to be a monster?! Two souls both being forced to follow higher evil powers, mutually loving and supporting each other through that?! Also could go on about my toxic platonic ship of Auntie Ethel/Durge but we'll save it for another day
DA - so I just finished Origins (tetoman playing and me watching/backseat gaming), and have played some Inquisition but not all
The first character I first fell in love with: ✨🥰Cassandra🥰✨ my husband + bff are probably sick of me going oohhhh cassaaaaandra every time one of them mentions Dragon Age
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: historically I'm not too keen on dwarves but I really like Varric!
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I think Sera is annoying
The character I love that everyone else hates: idk who the Dragon Age fandom hates lol. probably not hated, but I had never heard of Wynne or Shale in general and I'm surprised, I loved them.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: n/a since I'm still pretty early in my DA career
The character I would totally smooch: Cassandra... but she doesn't want me 😔✌🏻 so I suppose Iron Bull or Leliana
The character I’d want to be like: Leliana! She is actually my favorite, I liked what I saw of her in DAI and now that I saw DAO I love her even more!
The character I’d slap: idk probably Solas
A pairing that I love: I like Iron Bull x Dorian! and the mage guy my husband and I made x Morrigan lolol
A pairing that I despise: n/a for now, not enough knowledge of popular DA ships

Well, Akroma and Alistair have kids now...
Two feral twins raised in the wilds with their auntie Morrigan and cousin Kieran, then eventually sent off to their uncle Jowan when Morrigan hides out in Orlesian High Court. Akroma isn't the most present parent and Alistair doesn't learn about them until post trespasser. They definitely prefer their aunt and uncle over their actual parents. Do I like drama, parental trauma, and angst? Yes. Yes, I do lol

mmmmmmmgh i need to start reading the books i have again and rehash a system out for my witchcraft, im soooo out of practiceeeeeee
i think imma prioritize . making a correspondence sheet for common spices i use in cooking, fruit, meat depending on animal, various dairy products (brie and cheddar do NOT have the same correspondences in my head. they are SO different), etc.
like. one for food, one for herbal tea, one for like. ingredients i would use for jarspells, diff types of sprays, types of water.
ALSO one for incense....................................... i love you incense <3
AND i need to set up like. i have two shrines in the work for the two deities i am now working with, but i want a working altar for general witchcraft
tbh also im very :0 abt how legit like. the only reason im really returning back to witchcraft and the like is bc Auntie Queen Mother gave me a HELL of a calling. very similar in feeling to how the Morrigan called to me years ago tbh (though we parted ways years ago bc she had already done her work w me)
not to mention. sudden fox acquisition /j might refer to her in english as. Lady Fox? idk that feels right and im not getting a neutral or no feeling
ALSO still not sure what tsukuyomi no mikoto is doin hanging around?? if im right then hes just been in the bg for LITERAL YEARS and he hasnt asked for anything, hes just. there. in a "im fine, you go focus on them right now" kinda way

[Scorching Sandgems] A Phone Call
Oreburgh City, Sinnoh
Heidi, Sapphire, and Lati were resting at the Pokémon Center. The two trainers agreed to meet up and hang out at the Pokémon Center of each town since they were taking a similar path. So, they were exchanging information and talking about their journey so far.
"Wow, so you got Roark's badge already? How was it?" Heidi was amazed by Sapphire's progress.
"Pretty straight-forward, actually." Sapphire nodded. "Piplup kind of carried me the entire way. Have you tried to challenge him yet, mom?"
Heidi shook her head. "Not yet. Lati and I have been taking our time to study the wildlife. She's been really curious about them."
Lati giggled. "We saw this teeny tiny Zubat! He was soooo cute."
"A Zubat? That's awesome! Did you battle it?"
"Uh-huh! He used Absorb and it tickled… but then I was so dizzy from Supersonic… but then mom caught him! We're friends now!"
"Oh! That's so cool! Though, I'm surprised that he didn't use Leech Life on you--"
Heidi shook her head. "Leech Life is a much stronger move in this world than back home, Sapphire. If it had that, then Lati wouldn't have stood a chance."
"It is?" Sapphire tilted her head. "How'd you learn that?"
Heidi blushed. "...the hard way--"
"Oh… right… sorry. I'll have to look into that, then." She nodded. "Who knew that even existing moves can be different between the worlds. I'll have to research more into that, then."
Just as they were finishing that portion of their conversation, Ghost appeared next to Heidi and started to ring. It seems that someone was calling her. Heidi grabbed Ghost and checked to see who it was from.
"...? Lauren? Hey, Sapph, Lati. I'll be right back. Your aunt's calling me." Heidi got up and walked outside.
"Okay! Tell Auntie I said hi!" Lati was emphatically waving.
--
When Heidi picked up the phone, Lauren looked a little relieved. She wasn't sure if it were too early in the morning to call.
"Hello? What's up, big sis?"
"Morning, little sis. Hope it wasn't too early."
"No. Just in time." Heidi chuckled. "I was just spending some time with Sapphire and Lati at the Pokémon Center. Lati says 'hi', by the way. She brings you up anytime we register a Pokémon in the Pokédex."
"Awww… tell my little niece that I said 'hello'. So, your journey's been going well so far?"
"Yeah. Sapphire's more focused on the gym challenge, but Lati and I have been taking our time to see the different Pokémon in the area. She's especially enamored with the different sizes of even the same species. I'll have you examine my dex progress later but you'll see that we registered a lot of the species in the area of all different sizes. Though, we normally just release them right after."
"Makes sense. You don't want to mess with the local habitat just for a little bit of fun."
"Yeah. It's also teaching her to say goodbye to friends and to let go, too. She felt a bit heartbroken when we first started releasing, but she's been really mature about it ever since."
"Aww. That's good for her. She's growing up so well -- and quickly, too."
"Yeah…" Heidi giggled. "Anyway, did you look into that space tear sample that I gave you?"
"That's actually one of the two things that I need to talk to you about. I did… and I know who caused it."
"Oh! Well, that was quick. Let's talk about that first, and then we can get to your other thing."
"Alright." Lauren pulled up the sample on her end. "I ran an analysis of the space scar. Both Chrona and I can confirm that there is only a single species of Pokémon that can do something like that: Palkia."
"So, I was right, then." Heidi crossed her arms. The phone simply floated.
"But that's not the weird part about it. I was also able to identify the world of origin of this Palkia, and… you won't believe this."
"Already? That was quick."
"Yeah, and that's the problem. It was quick because… I know this Palkia --"
"You do? Who is it?"
"Pally-- Morrigan's Palkia."
Heidi nearly choked at the news. That was the Palkia from Lauren's home world. What could it be doing here in this world? Could Morrigan be up to something? There's no way that she could be onto them already… right?
"Daiyu told me that Palkia hasn't been seen since before the war -- that it disappeared from the world to avoid getting involved in killing it. There were even rumors that Morrigan killed it to prevent it from getting away. What would it be doing here, and why would it show up now of all things?"
"I don't know, but, no matter what its reasons are, I don't think it's for asylum."
"Perhaps not. Either way, be on your guard. Chrona has already gone to Sinnoh to investigate further. Should she contact you, then you know what it's for."
"Got it. Thanks, Lauren."

My First Coven: In These Shoes
My Auntie Morrigan said a quick 'See you later' to us then practically drifted her BMW round to the rear car park. All the other kids who hadn't gone home by now who were hanging around the school or still waiting were still glaring at me. Slightly exasperated, I slumped back down on to the bench.
'I can't believe it.' I shook my head. Katie and Victoria sat themselves down either side of me.
'So your Aunt has come for Mrs Clarkson's job huh? That's pretty cool.' Victoria stated.
'I don't know if I could handle a member of my family being a teacher at my school I swear to God.' I continued shaking my head.
'Well you wouldn't be the only one.' Katie grinned. Victoria and myself had a bit of a twin moment.
'What do you mean?' We both asked her in unison.
'Mr Evans. I'm pretty sure I heard some of the other teachers when he started working here that he's Liam Blakeley's uncle or something. Managed to keep that quiet though.'
'That makes perfect sense.' Victoria cackled. 'Y'know, now that you mention it, they do kinda look related.'
We all nodded in agreement. Mr Evans was a particularly good looking guy and if it was entirely true; so was his nephew Liam. Both were blonde, fair skinned, had blue-ish eyes and were quite well built and relatively tall. Liam was on the school rugby team and was of course, stupidly popular with the girls. Hell, his uncle was stupidly popular with the girls. When Mr Evans first started here, all of the girls who didn't take History as a subject suddenly wanted to drop one they had chosen and transfer in to his class. Our Head Master Mr Banks banged that on the head pretty quickly and nobody got to transfer.
Deciding we were now bored hanging around outside, we all went back to our dorm room. A few of the other girls in our dorm were making their way out with bags and small cases as they were going home for the weekend. Katie and Victoria quickly changed out of their uniforms and in to their comfy clothes. We lounged around for a bit with the telly on, watching a bit of afternoon garbage just to pass the time while dinner came round which was a little bit earlier on Fridays. We got about ten minutes in to Tipping Point when there was a knock at the door.
'Hey guys!' It was Auntie Morrigan. She smiled as she shuffled in to the room and closed the door behind herself, making her way over to the small armchair we had in the corner. She sat down, crossed her legs and placed her really nice black Dolce and Gabbana handbag down on the floor beside the chair. Auntie M had a penchant for designer goods and expensive things, not just cars. It wasn't unheard of for her to drop two grand on a handbag or six hundred quid on a pair of shoes when she felt like it. Then again, she was even more dangerous in Primark. We came from a Northern, Working Class family that got lucky. Apparently our predilection for saving money like there was no tomorrow and then spending it lavishly was genetic. Mum was the exact same as her sister and I had started developing these traits too. The only thing I didn't have was the accent, or the dark hair every woman had in my family. I got my mousy blonde hair from my dad.
'How did it go Auntie M?' I asked her about her interview. 'Do you think you'll get it?'
'Well it would be nice if I did they seem pretty desperate too so I won't be waiting long for an answer.' She mumbled. 'I mean I'd get to spend more time with my actual niece and adoptive nieces.' She grinned at us. She insisted Katie and Victoria call her Auntie M too.
'And I'd get to teach properly an' all, a whole class for a long amount of time not just random lectures and being a substitute occasionally.'
'I didn't know you were a teacher Auntie M.' Victoria said. Katie nodded along with her. To be honest I never really brought it up.
'Yep, qualified as a teacher after my first degree. Did that for a little while then went and completed a second degree.' Auntie M shrugged her shoulders.
'That is so cool though!' Katie exclaimed. 'You'd never really be out of a job because you can do so much.'
'Bingo. Never pigeonhole yourself girls, there's nowt worse than being stuck in a career you don't like for the rest of your life.'
Auntie Morrigan. The giver of great advice.
'Anyway, it's Friday night what are you all up to?' She shook her head as she asked. We just sort of looked at each other and made faces.
'Nothing really.' I replied. ' Katie's going home for a visit on Saturday but me and Victoria are here for the weekend.'
'I have a hairdresser appointment tomorrow though.' Victoria added.
'Fair enough. I was thinking, why don't I take you all out for your tea tonight? Nandos or something? My treat.'
We had all instantly brightened up. We didn't get to go out much together especially with everyone having conflicting schedules, plus it was a bit of a pain trying to get in to town without a car. Katie, Victoria and Myself all nodded furiously with cries of "Yes please!" and "Thanks Auntie M!"
'Right well sort yourselves out and get your shit together I'll go tell your Dorm Mothers I'm taking you out for tea and not kidnapping you. I'll bring the car round.'
Auntie M grabbed her handbag and quickly left the room. Meanwhile we hurried to change in to some different clothes and fix our hair and faces before we flew downstairs and out to the front of the dorm building where Auntie M was sat waiting in her BMW; the engine gurgling away and the sounds of Prince blaring out from the stereo cutting through the eerily calm quietness of the late afternoon. I climbed in to the passengers side while Katie and Victoria jumped in the back. Everyone belted up as Auntie M slid a huge pair of designer sunglasses on her face to shield her eyes from the afternoon sun hanging low in the sky.
'Err girls, who is that?' Auntie M quizzed, slightly pulling her sunglasses down from her face to get a better look. We all craned round to look out the front windscreen. It was Mr Evans wearing sports gear doing his usual after school run around the grounds.
'That's Mr Evans the new History teacher.' Katie answered. 'He started at the beginning of the year.'
'Oh reaaallly now.' Auntie M had uncomfortably dragged out the "really" a bit too long for my liking. Oh she was definitely going to end up working here this moment right now had pretty much just guaranteed it.

Daddy's little princess /// Azriel X F!Reader
Summary: With Nik sick and Y/N taking him to Madja, the bat trio are left alone to take care of Nova and unfortunately for them, she really likes princesses.
Warnings: None just pure fluff
Word Count: 950
Note: I really love Dad!Az and i saw the idea of having the same kids in other fics in the @azsazz blog, she was really sweet and let me use this idea as well. So we got more of Nova and Nikolai.
Main Masterlist
It was hard for fae to get sick, but as hours passed and the little 4 year old keeps getting hotter, Y/N was getting terrified. Azriel was with his brothers, their first day off in weeks, she felt guilty to call him back, but their son’s well being was way more important than this. Reaching for him through the bond, he was quick to reply, letting her know that he was on his way.
“What happened?” He asked appearing in the middle of the living room, his shadows swirling around him furiously, looking for whatever was wrong. His brothers behind him, ready to jump in the fight.
“I think that Nik is sick, i will take him to Madja, you will have to take care of Nova, we can't risk getting her sick too.” She said, she was ready to leave, their daughter walked in the room, looking at the adults, her chubby face swollen from sleep. Azriel got to her, picking her up and kissing her cheek.
“Don’t worry about her, Nova is going to have fun with her uncles.” Rhys said, as she smiled at him. “Feyre is going to meet you there.” And with that the female was gone.
Azriel Pov
The kettle made a loud noise, pulling me out of my thoughts, reaching for it, a poured the tea on the fancy tea cup set, and walked back to Nova’s room. When Cassian asked her what she wanted to do, he certainly didn't expect that we would end up seated on a tiny pink plastic chair, with feather necklaces and plastic crowns on our heads.
“We’re all princesses now.” She giggle in pure delight, we looked at each other, trying hard not to laugh, the most powerful beings alive on this situation, if our enemies looked at us right now.
“Could you please pass me a cupcake princess Nova?” Cassian asked, a high pitched voice, he was really getting into it, Nesta would love to know. Rhysand grabbed his cup, ready to drink when she stopped him, a disapproval look on her tiny face.
“Uncle Rhysie, you have to lift your pinkie.” She picked her cup up, her finger lifting as she drink it, Rhys did the same and she nodded. “You are a truly princess now.” Cassian laughed hard, sending a kiss in Rhysand’s direction. “Daddy?”
“Yes darling?”
“Your crown is falling.” She got up, getting on the tip of her toes to fix it for me, i hugged her and she caressed my cheek with her little hands. “A pretty princess.” She said proudly before sitting down again.
“You’re really a pretty princess Az” Rhys’s voice sounded in my head.
The tea party ended when Cassian broke his chair, falling on the ground, Nova wasn’t happy with it but she quickly came up with another idea.
“Auntie Mor teached me how to do make up.” The toddler said, rushing to get her mother’s make up. Rhys was her first victim, we watched as she worked on his face aplying the products with her fingers.
“Someone remind me to kick Morrigan later.” Rhys said as he looked himself in the mirror, his cheeks were colored with a bright shade of pink, his lips were deep red and blue stained his eyelids, and of course, his face was glowing with the glitter she aplied on him. We ended up with the same make up.
“Daddy, can you do mine?” She seemed so happy and i only nodded, getting to her level, i started applying the same makeup look she did to us, finishing with the glitter, she ran to the mirror, admiring herself she smiled. “We're all pretty princesses.”
“I agree honey.” A female voice sounded from behind us. We turned to see Feyre, Y/N and Nesta standing by the door, a smirk adorning their features.
“Mommy!!!” Nova screamed, rushing to her mother. “We had a tea party. Uncle Cass broke my chair.” She was pouting. Nesta laughed at her mate. “Where’s Nik?”
“He’s downstairs baby, he’s playing with Nyx, you can go there if you want to.” The little girl rushed to get to her brother.
“Is he okay?” I asked, and she got closer to me, a wide smile on her face.
“He got a cold, she got rid of his fever and he’s going to be just fine.” I sighed, relieved that it wasn't nothing too serious. “Thanks for taking care of her, but i feel like i should let you all know that she’will definitely want to do this again.” Cassian groaned playfully and the room brust into laughter.
⋆˙⟡☾𖤓☽ ⟡˙⋆
Y/N exited the bathroom, her hair wet from her bath, i opened my arms and she jumped on me, pulling her closer i kissed her head.
“I think that you should wear that crown more often, it suits you.”!I rolled my eyes at her. “She’s lucky to have you and her uncles.”
“She’s my baby girl, i would do anything for her. For them both.” Y/N looked at me, her eyes filled with love.
The door of our room opened and Nik and Nova entered.
“Can we sleep here?” Nik asked, he was holding her hand. Y/N patted on the bed and they climbed, getting between us. “We love you Mommy.” He said, kissing his mother’s face.
“And we love you daddy.” Nova said kissing me. Pulling the three closer, i watched as they all drift to sleep, happy with my wonderful family.

@asterofthesapphires
In regards to it being because she’s touch starved, I still don’t find that to be reasonable? She is one of the friendliest natured characters in the game who clearly in her reaction scenes considers all of the companions to be her dear friends. Even Astarion, who I imagine would roll his eyes at it half the time. She cares about everyone regardless of if they’re dtf or not. She is also the only companion who develops friendships outside of the party. She runs into her old friend outside of Sorcerer’s Sundries and is excited to be an auntie. She develops a bond with Dammon. She’s very close to Wyll to the point their endings can be intertwined.
So if anything, I feel she makes the most sense to be the game’s Dorian/Varric character. Game Assigned BFF. You can romance her, as you could with Dorian, but if you don’t- you’d have to be playing a very particular kind of character to turn her off to the point she isn’t your character’s best friend.
And honestly, it’s not just an issue within the relationships between player and companions. Most other games of it’s kind flesh out character relationships between the companions. DAO with Morrigan and Alistair, the many rivalries in DA2, Mass Effect has many, heck even the Horizon series makes very distinct relationships between the companions in the second game. Story based games like these need many different types of scenes for a complete narrative, imo. They can’t all be between the player and a singular companion. It makes it feel empty and flat. Where as the Inquisitor walking in on Cassandra hurling a chair at Varric makes it seem like the world around you is alive and reacting with or without you.
The game alludes to these scenes? Halsin mentioning seeing Shadowheart sneak off to change her hair. Minsc talking about an arm wrestle he had with Halsin. Shadowheart saying she caught Astarion practicing lines. If any of those interactions had been visually done? It would have made it feel much more alive at camp.
@lily-orchard I agree. I think that the reason I’ll cut BG2 a little slack is because it released in 2000, and was in many ways still one of the first of it’s kind. It improved upon aspects of BG1. Baldur’s Gate 3 has made leaps and bounds of improvement upon those two, but it’s frustrating that for all it’s an incredible game we are now in a situation of feeling like there are older rpg’s that did it better. Atleast, they did it better in my opinion.
I think the reason that the lack of multi-dimensional relationships within the party, and for Tav, is eating away at me so much recently is because it’s significantly affecting BG3’s replayableness for me. It’s a huge game, and I’m ever guilty of taking a completionist approach. Now, there are many branching narratives in BG3 which means there’s endless new content to explore by taking different approaches. Personally though, that’s not quite enough of a reason for me to want to keep revisiting a story. I don’t feel compelled to replay hundreds of hours worth of content just to see what happens to Sazza if you rescue her in Act 1 instead of leaving her in the cage. But if I’m invested in a story and the characters in it- I will replay a game 10,000 times just to rewatch my oc become ride or die besties and trauma bond with their companion. Thinking of Liara’s relationship with an unromanced Sheperd in ME3. Tali declaring herself Tali’zorah vas Normandy?? Gut wrenching. Garrus taking you out on a friend date and making fun of your go to catch phrase in the process? Iconic. Varric writing Cassandra a book to bury the hatchet between them? Unforgettable. Solas and Varric co-parenting a kid together? Can’t get enough of it. Those are the interactions that keep me coming back to replay a game over and over again. Seeing the effect my character has on the lives of their friends, and the effect their friends has on them. Absolutely, I adore the romance aspects of these kinds of rpg’s. It is also a reason I will replay a game. But I don’t want to replay a game as massive as BG3 if the only real significant connection my character develops during it is with their love interest. There’s too many hours that have to be invested to just be playing for a couple of scenes with their boo.
Same goes for trying different romances! If I want to try out the game taking a different approach, and exploring a different character’s romance- I’m dedicating a significant amount of time just to get a handful of scenes over the course of the entire game that focus on an emotional connection for my character. If replaying the game with a different oc meant that I could explore their friend dynamics differently as well? Heck yeah. But as it stands, it just feels like you pick your romance option and then have to stand awkwardly while you’re surrounded by acquaintances who want to bang you.

The Heart of a Wanderer: Letters
A collection of letters from Elain to her family throughout her travels across Prythian. Set in my THOAW universe.
Elain Week Day Five: travel & adventure
Dear Nesta,
I hope you are well and have continued your training with the Valkyries. I am writing to you from the sandy shores of Adriata, where I’m almost certain I’ve eaten my body weight in gelato. It really is beautiful here but so odd that it is eternal summer, all year round! It would have been splendid back when we were human, the winters always were the hardest.
Sometimes I sit and think about how far we have come from our little cottage in the mortal lands. How drab even the most magnificent of manors below the wall now seems. I wonder if I would have ever been granted the opportunity to travel and see all the wonderful things I’ve seen if I had wed a human Lord’s son. Thank the Mother I didn’t.
I have just arrived at the Summer Court after travelling through Day for longer than I had anticipated. Helion was kind enough to escort me here on his golden chariot pulled by his Pegasus— such a stunning creature! He claimed he needed to consult with Tarquin about some business or another, but I think he just wanted to show off his magnificent Meallan. But I think you would love it there. Helion has a great number of libraries, they’re far beyond anything I have ever seen! I fear if you ever visit, we may never see you again! We’d surely lose you to the labyrinth of books Helion houses in his court.
But Adriata really is lovely, it’s such a shame Cassian isn’t allowed back here. I would have loved to spend family holidays on the beach. Perhaps I can convince Varian to speak to Tarquin to have him consider rescinding the order on Cassian’s banishment? He does seem like a truly charming male.
How is Cassian, by the way? I know it is spring time back home. Please remind him that I made extra batches of the herbal tincture for his allergies before I left, the vials are in the far-right cabinet of the kitchen at Feyre’s. Just three drops in his morning coffee will do.
Anyway, I’m sending a few books I found whilst perusing the Day markets alongside this letter, I hope you enjoy them. One of them is rather scandalous!
All my love,
Elain.
P.S. Tell Cassian not to bother trying to replacing any pots he may break in my garden. I’ll know.
~
My Dearest Feyre,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And Happy Solstice to everyone back home. I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you for your special day, but I know Rhys will have planned plenty of special surprises for you! I’m spending the Winter Solstice with Vivian and Kallias. They have been so gracious, showing me around their Winter palace and the grounds beyond. I’ll have to remember to write to Morrigan and thank her for her good word to them on my behalf.
The sleighs here are pulled by darling creatures, bears and wolves and reindeer! And they wear adorable little vests! Can you believe it? They are so clever! I think when I return to Velaris, I’d like a pet.
Everything here looks like a sparkling, diamond wonderland. It truly is breathtaking, particularly at sunrise when the light reflects off the ice just so. I do miss the flowers, however. Everything here is all covered in snow.
How is my precious Nyx? I hope he is sleeping better these days and not keeping you up too often at night. Although if he’s anything like his father, it would possibly be his favourite time of the day and wouldn’t want to miss seeing the stars.
I sent my Solstice gifts to Rhysand last week to add to the pile for hiding. I hope the little onesies I sent Nyx still fit him, I managed to find a style in the Dawn Court that have little openings for wings! You cannot imagine how difficult it has been to find them, considering there are so many winged fae in the world.
Well, dear sister, I must leave you for now. But give a big kiss to Nyx from his aunty Lain and send my love to everyone back home. I miss you today, more than ever.
Love always,
Elain
~
Nuala & Cerridwen,
Well, you were indeed correct about the Dawn Court. The loveliest sunrises have been here so far! And the palace on the Eastern shore faces out toward the Continent. On clear days I swear I can almost see across the entire expanse of ocean to the lands on the other side. With any luck, I’ll be heading there by ship soon.
But I wanted to let you both know about a vision I had. I am unsure if it means anything but just in case it is of importance to Az the network, I thought I should let you know. I saw an autumn leaf wither and fall to the earth, I saw a giant hound’s paw crushing it, mincing it further into the dirt. I then saw the silhouette of a female running. However, she didn’t seem to be fleeing, but rather…flying? As if finally set free.
I have thoughts about what these images could mean, but in case of unwelcome interceptions of this letter, I shall not put into words my deductions. I know you both will understand my meaning.
I miss you both terribly. Thesan’s scullery maid taught me a new recipe for braided lavender bread! We’ll have to trial it out once I’m back home. I have it written down on a card in my knapsack.
Stay safe and look after one another,
Elain xo
~
Rhysand,
How are you, dear brother? I hope my sister and nephew have kept you smiling, and all is well in Velaris.
I am currently in the human realm below the wall. I will only be spending a few days with Queen Vassa and her court before sailing off to the Continent. However, as requested, I journeyed through the Spring Court on my travels here.
As you suspected, the beastly High Lord has still not emerged from his self-inflicted ostracism and his lands fall into further disarray. I am afraid your visits thus far with him have been fruitless.
I didn’t go searching for him, as promised, but murmurings on the roads travelled led me to believe that his people have lost faith in his leadership. They fear infiltration from bordering Courts as well as enemies from across the seas. There are now whisperings of assembling guerrilla groups of local fae for protection against such invasions.
I truly hope it doesn’t come to that. And if it does, I hope we can provide refuge for as many faeries that reside in his lands as we can.
Take care please, Rhys. And until I return, enjoy winning the family chess tournaments. We all know who the real Inner Circle chess champion is. Enjoy your reign while it lasts, old man.
Sending all my love,
Elain
Oh! P.S. If Nyx is particularly fussy in the next few weeks it will be a little growth spurt in his wings. I have a special salve that will relieve the ache. Cassian and Azriel usually fight over it- ask one of them where they would have left it. Ahh the perks of being an all-knowing Seer.
~
Darling Morrigan,
Thank you for putting in a kind word with Kallias and Vivian for me. The Solstice I spent with them was truly magical. They send their regards, as does Vivian’s sister.
They introduced me to a drink, a Winter Court specialty, they claimed. It is made with whiskey, a cinnamon quill, orange slices and honey. It’s delightfully warming. They also told me you were the curator of such a drink many many years ago. And that you all went on a spree of sorts after imbibing in one too many of them in your youths… Why Morrigan, I never saw you for one to place bets on sleigh races! Remind me to ask you of your adventures when I return. I feel as if I have centuries to catch up on.
I plan to travel to the mortal lands soon, and then onto Montesere and then Vallahan. If you are still visiting on the Continent for your duties as emissary and find yourself there in the coming weeks, perhaps we could see each other.
Anyway, I should be on my way. I hope Amren hasn’t been too cranky of late, I left Summer only a few days ago and Varian mentioned he had been extremely busy the last couple months. She can get quite scary when he isn’t around, don’t you think?
Miss you all.
Elain
~
Elain,
The past months have not been the same without you. I thought avoiding you would be best, but in truth it’s been complete anguish.
I miss your warm smile, your long hair that I find everywhere even after your gone, the soft lullaby’s you hum to Nyx, the adorable way your nose scrunches when you berate Cassian when his wings knock over your potted flowers. I miss your sweet laugh and your enchanting scent. I found jasmine oils in the Palace of Hoof and Leaf and have been adding them into my bath each morning. It is said jasmine has a relaxing effect on the mind. It’s not the same, but it helps me feel a little closer to you.
My shadows intercepted all the letters you sent to our family. And I noticed that I was absent from all of them. Do you truly not think of me?
I know I hurt you, I should never have never left you that night, but—
Azriel groaned, crumpling up the parchment in his hands. The scars on the back on his palms stretching as he closed his fist around the umpteenth letter he had attempted to write to Elain. All undelivered. All now reduced to ash in his fireplace. The same fate this one would meet too, no doubt.
She’d left months and months ago. And all their family had received numerous correspondence about her adventures throughout her travels. But not him. She hadn’t written to him once.
He couldn’t blame her.
He sighed, raking a hand through his hair and tossing the unfinished letter across the room into the crackling hearth. Gods, he missed her. The ache around his heart coiled tighter, leaving an empty feeling in his belly.
He slumped heavily into the chair behind his desk.
Come home Elain, he pleaded silently.
Just, come home.

Nyx’s first birthday
review: It is Nyx first birthday, and for the occasion the High Lords of each court are invited, and Feyre is stresses that something happens.
Tonight was Nyx’s first birthday, Feyre and Rhysand were determined to do the right thing for their baby, and, even if Feyre was stressed as she has never been, she agreed to follow the tradition. The first birthday of the child of the high lord, and in that case high lady too, was supposed to be celebrated with his family, of course, but also with the high lords of the other courts. It was their first time meeting the child, except for Helion, who already came to meet him, it was a real surprise for the others. Feyre wasn’t scared of Kallias, Thesan, or even Tarquin, but she was of Beron and Tamlin, she had no idea how the high lord of the Spring court would react when he will meet Rhys’ and her baby. This is why Lucien is in the Spring court for a week now, trying to calm the Beast, and convince him to come, not to make any more scandal like in the past, but to enjoy some company.
Feyre is freaking out, trying to dress up her baby. “Nyx, please baby, stay still”
“Sorry mama”
Feyre was shaking while closing the last buttons of Nyx’s shirt. Rhys arrived in the room. “How are my two favorite people?”
“Papa !” Nyx was running to his father in a second, and Rhys took him in his arms. “Hello, my baby, you are good looking”
“Mama dressed me”
“I guessed that babe. Why don’t you go look for auntie Elain? We will leave for the House of Wind soon.” He let go of his son, who runs to his aunt’s bedroom. “Fey... You need to calm down... Everything will be alright”
“How can you be so sure? What makes you think that Beron won’t try to kill him? Or kidnap him?”
“We won’t let him. Cassian and Azriel are warned, they have to watch Beron and his sons. We both will be with Nyx the entire evening, and if he isn’t with us, he knows he has to stay with someone. And, Fey, if anyone tries to hurt our son, I will kill them myself.”
“I wish I could be so confident” She sighed and looked at him. “If Beron is acting suspicious-”
“If he is, he or Tamlin or anyone, you take Nyx and fly away. As we said, if anything happens, you go hide Nyx to the cabin. Alright ?”
“Okay. Yes, I’ll take him to the cabin.”
Rhys approached slowly his mate by behind and hugged her. “I love you, and you are beautiful in this dress”
“I love you too, and thank you, you know I prefer wearing your shirt”
He laughs “Yes I do” then he gives her little kisses on her neck, slowly. “Come on, everyone is already waiting for us at the House.”
“Let’s go then.”
-
When they arrived, and after saying hello, they went to their place. Rhysand, Feyre, and Nyx we're near the door, to welcome the High Lords and the other guests. Morrigan and Amren were near the banquet. Cassian was with Nesta on one of the couches. Azriel already disappears, and Elain, alongside Gwyn and Emerie were talking on another couch.
Only a few minutes later, the guests started to arrive. Helion was the first to arrive with some people of his court, Nyx was pleased to see him, as always, because he always brings a lot of gifts, and Nyx loves gifts. Soon after him Thesan and his people entered, then Kallias and Tarquin. Feyre was relaxed for now, and Rhysand was looking after her every minute to be sure everything was fine. She was holding her baby in her arms as he was tired to stand. After an hour, Beron accompanied by his wife, the poor lady, and his sons appeared.
“High Lord. Lady” he looked at them in triumph, Feyre could have slapped him in the face just for the lack of respect he gave her.
“It is High Lady,” Rhys answered in his cold voice, the one he usually takes in the court of Nightmares. “I will ask you to show my mate respect before she makes you give her.”
He rolled his eyes. Arrogant. “Sure, High Lady. So I guess this is your son.”
“It is.” Feyre holds Nyx closer to her, mistrustful of the High Lord of the Autumn court. Nyx as a well-behaved kid, politely say hello to Beron.
Then they left to say hello to the other High Lords and to eat.
“See, it’s alright. He knows he cannot reach the limits.”
“He is potentially working with Korschei, Rhys, he is dangerous.”
“I know. But right now Korschei cannot reach us, and Beron isn’t strong enough to try anything against us. So try to relax darling, it is alright.”
“I hate when you are too calm”
“I know, but someone has to, your mother instinct is crazy,”
Arrogant Bastard. Fuck you, she said through the bond. And then hear him laugh. I love you too. She smiled. She stepped closer to Rhys as he holds her against him.
“Everything’s alright kiddo?”
“Can I go play papa?”
“Only one person left, and then yes, you will be able to go play.”
The little kid nodded. A minute later he gave a little scream of happiness and jump from his mother's arms, and runs towards the door.
“Nyx come back here !” Feyre was in a panic when she noticed that Nyx was running to Lucien. The redhead holds him in his arms, a large smile on his face.
“Hello little one, I missed you”
“Hi uncle Lucien, I missed you too” Nyx was shining, he always loved his uncle Lucien, and he hated when he had to go away for business. Lucien was walking to Feyre and Rhys, still holding Nyx, with Tamlin by his side. Feyre froze at the sight of him, Rhys sends a wave of comfort through the bond, and Lucien, as he noticed too, hold Nyx closer to him.
“It is good to see you, Lucien. Tamlin” Rhys salute him, Feyre and Nyx did the same.
“Mama, Papa, can I go play now?”
“Yes, babe, you can”
He jumps from Lucien’s arms, and then looks at him “Can you come to play with me please?”
“Sure” He smiled and follow the little one to play with him.
“He seems... Adorable” Feyre could have told that Tamlin was being a hypocrite, he hated this child before he even met him. Which was unfair, but she didn’t care, as long as he stayed away from her baby. Feyre’s mother instinct grows more every day, she didn’t even know she could have an instinct like that, her own mother never take care of her, how could she know how to take care of a child? But it was natural, the way she holds him, helps him, teaches him. Everything was natural. She has to admit that Nesta helps her a lot, since her sister was feeling better thanks to herself, her friends, and her mate, she had shown a real overprotective form that Feyre never knew she had. Nesta was visiting Feyre every day since her labor, and she loved it. They realized that they didn’t know much about each other, and they were trying to get closer. Nesta herself was happier. You could tell she was smiling more, and she was even trying to be more social. Recently she started talking with Lucien, and they find out that they kind of liked similar things, the first one being Elain. Nesta would never admit it, but Feyre knew she liked Lucien and she found him funny. Even though she told him that she hated his new friends. Nesta still disliked the mortal queen, Lucien was telling her it was because she didn’t know her and that Vassa was kind, but Nesta ignore it and forbid him to have a relation with her, I think I never saw Lucien laugh that much than this day. Indeed, he was already fond of Elain, and would never cheat. Even if they are not a couple. Yet. She started to acknowledge him when she was babysitting Nyx, she had some issues and Lucien was the only one here to help, since then they often babysit together, last time she even agreed to go to the restaurant with him, and when she came back and tell them everything she was shining of happiness. Feyre concentrated again on the discussion.
“He is.” Rhys ends up saying. Tamlin didn’t dare to say anything more and lead to the other High Lords.
The rest of the evening was calm, Nyx opened his gifts, all happy, and eat the chocolate cake Elain made for the occasion. Feyre ended up talking gossip with Mor, she learned that Lucien and Elain spend the evening together, playing with the kid, or just some time alone. Amren and Varian left early, apparently, she had forgotten to lock the door of her apartment, of course, the others knows what it means. Cassian and Nesta, to Feyre’s surprise, didn’t leave the party to spend time together, their mating bond was still so fresh that sometimes they needed to leave in an urge. Rhys spent the evening with all the other High Lords, talking about annoying things that Feyre didn’t want to know. Emerie joined Feyre and Mor in the middle of the evening, Gwyn and Azriel had started a competition and she didn’t want to be in between. Feyre could have sworn that something was happening between the two of them, but they were keeping it a secret.
When the party was over, Feyre, Rhys, and Nyx went back home. Elain decided to sleep at the House of Wind, of course, it was to spend more time with Lucien but she would never admit it. Feyre put Nyx to bed and join Rhys in their room.
“See? Everything was alright” He said when she entered the room
“Yes, sorry I panicked.”
“Don’t be sorry darling, it is normal, I wasn’t so confident either. But they stayed away from our baby”
She climbs into the bed after undressing and Rhys holds her close to him. “As they should”
He laughs “Good night darling”
She smiles and closes her eyes. “Good night”

Winter/holiday prompt #7(kinda its a little different) : “Okay which one of you fuckers told my kid Santa isn’t real?” For Feysand or Nessian please 😊
I chose nessian because I felt this prompt really fit them, I hope you enjoy!!
The Naughty List
WORD COUNT: 887
SUMMARY: Nesta Archeron is having a hard time coping with the mania of her family's annual Christmas party. But, when she finds out someone told her daughter Santa isn't real, it gets a whole lot worse.
Feyre and Rhysand's annual Christmas party was always chaotic, add two six-year-olds to the mix and it was absolute mania. The entire manor was decked out in Christmas garlands, lights and trees. Each person was dressed in some sort of festive attire, bright reds and greens, knitted pictures of Santa and Rudolph and snowmen. Nesta Archeron was now in the lounge, watching her children hyped up on candy canes.
Nesta adored her twins, but when Cassian was getting drunk in the kitchen with his brothers and Apollo and Lyra were running circles around Feyre's Christmas tree, she had just about had enough. Turning to her nephew, Nesta sighed at the ten-year-old who was just reading innocently on the sofa, "Orion, sweetheart, could you go get your Uncle Cass, please?"
Orion bookmarked his page, nodding and smiling at his aunt as he walked down the hall. Pinching the bridge of her nose, Nesta turned to her kids, sweeping up Apollo who was closest to her. He was far too big to be carried, but she rested him on her hip anyway, eyebrows raised at her eldest, "Do you want to go home before Auntie Feyre cuts the Christmas cake?"
Apollo's grin dropped as he shook his head, "No, Momma."
Before Nesta could continue, Lyra pulled on her skirt, tugging and begging to be picked up also. With a slightly crooked smile, Cassian entered, taking his son from Nesta's arms as she lifted Lyra. Lyra nestled her head in the crook of her mother's neck and Nesta rubbed her back, swaying gently, "You okay, baby?"
"Santa isn't real," Lyra pouted, her hands knitted in Nesta's hair. Cassian shot his head up, his eyes wide. Luckily, Apollo hadn't heard his sister, babbling away about still getting his slice of cake.
Nesta blinked, "W-what? Of course, he is!"
The little girl just shook her head, and that was all it took for Cassian to put Apollo down and walk back through the hall, his footsteps stomping throughout the room despite the blaring Christmas songs. Taking Apollo's hand, Nesta followed her husband into the kitchen. Her family was crowded around the kitchen table, Orion atop of Feyre's lap as the grown-ups around him sipped at beer and wine. Cassian slipped back into his seat, right between Azriel and Amren. Lyra turned curiously as he downed the rest of his beer, smashing it on the table when it was empty.
"Okay, which one of you fuckers told my kid Santa isn't real?" he drunkenly demanded, panning around to look at each person with narrowed eyes.
Apollo gasped from where he stood beside Nesta, his arm hooked around his mother's leg, "Daddy said a bad word!"
With a sigh that only added to her pounding headache, Nesta set Lyra down beside her brother, holding a hand of each twin. "Listen, babies, why don't you go play while the grownups talk about boring stuff," Nesta insisted, turning to Orion again, "Orion, why don't you go with the twins?"
Sliding down from his mother's lap, Orion wiped at his tired eyes, eyelashes fluttering as he tried to keep himself awake, following the twins down the hall. Poor boy, Nesta thought, adoring her nephew more every time she saw him. As she turned back toward everyone else, she crossed her arms, "Well, who did it? Who told Lyra Santa isn't real?"
She scanned the room, just as her husband did, her glare pure evil. Everyone looked around curiously, Rhysand shrugging his shoulder at Az who looked at him expectantly, Elain who only seemed sad that the story of Santa had been ruined for her niece, and Amren who looked as though she wanted to be anywhere else.
Mor stood, her sparkly scarlet dress like an aggressive eyesore, with her wine glass in hand as she raised her arm, "I may have accidentally let something slip..."
Cassian let out a dramatic sob, "Morrigan!"
The blonde hung her head in shame, the table buzzing with light laughter, "I didn't mean to! I just sort of asked if she still believed in him and the poor thing looked at me with wide, teary eyes so I started babbling about absolute nonsense. I thought I fixed it but apparently not, I'm really sorry, you guys!"
Nesta laughed, laughed because if she didn't she would have started crying instead. If she hadn't been driving home she would have downed a whole glass of wine by now. The whole table turned to her as she laughed hysterically, shaking her head disbelievingly.
"What's so funny, Momma?" asked Lyra, Nesta turning to see both her twins holding onto their cousin's hand. Orion had tamed them, at last.
"Auntie Mor is on Santa's naughty list," Nesta explained, watching a grin stretch on her daughter's lips. Apollo broke away from the group, moving to crawl into Cassian's lap. Orion, too, moved to the table, climbing into Rhys's lap this time.
"So, he's real?" gasped Lyra, jumping up and down excitedly.
Nesta nodded, picking up her daughter and snuggling her close, "He's real, baby."
Her cheers followed them as Nesta moved to the table, hovering behind Cassian and putting a hand on his back. With her daughter happy in her arms, her son occupied with playing with his father's hair, Nesta was finally able to take a breath.

OCCUPATION: Inquisitor
APPEARANCE
EYE COLOUR: Gray

HEIGHT: 5'10"
SCARS: Numerous, littering her arms and hands
OVERWEIGHT: No
UNDERWEIGHT: Yes. Akroma will often forget to eat or take care of herself when lost in her desire to learn something new (which is often). Also a decade with taint has taken it's toll.
FAVOURITE
COLOUR: Blue. She finds the colour calming.
HAIR COLOUR: Golden or dirty blonde hair (as evidence by her weakness for cute ex-templars)
EYE COLOUR: Brown.
ENTERTAINMENT: Reading.
PASTIME: Reading research papers or exploring old ruins and the subsequent research.
DRINK: Tea.
BOOKS: Anything she hasn't read before. The comfort of re-reading an old favourite is not for her. She prefers the excitement of something new.
HAVE THEY
PASSED HARROWING: Yes.
HAD SEX: Yes.
HAD SEX IN PUBLIC: Yes. Morrigan's tent counts, you can't convince me otherwise. Everyone in camp heard everything and most likely saw everything, given the light in that tent. It would have been a very NSFW shadow puppet show.
GOTTEN PREGNANT: No.
KISSED A MAN: Yes.
KISSED A WOMAN: Yes. Her first kiss with a woman was actually with Isabela at the Pearl.
GOTTEN TATTOOS: No.
GOTTEN PIERCINGS: No.
HAD A BROKEN HEART: Yes. When her relationship ended with Cullen she was left broken hearted. It was not so much about the loss of Cullen and his affection, instead it was heart break over her lost belief in her chance for a happily ever after.
BEEN IN LOVE: Yes. She fell fast and hard for Alistair during their time together and it ended just as passionately, with raised voices and bitter accusations. With Cullen it was all girlish affection and old feeling rekindled but it never reached the same kind of depth she had with Alistair.
STAYED UP FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS: Yes. Often. She looses track of time a lot when focused on a new interest.
ARE THEY
A VIRGIN: No.
A CUDDLER: If the mood strikes. She generally relates hugs, cuddles or even just wrapping someone in her arms, and vice versa, with comfort. She's never understood the desire to simply cuddle. At first when Alistair would try to cuddle with her she wave him off, explaining that she wasn't upset. However after Leliana and Zevran explained that cuddling for some is a form of affection she became more open to the idea.
A KISSER: Absolutely.
A SMOKER: No.
SCARED EASILY: Not anymore. What would have scared her in the past now only evokes curiosity and intrigue.
JEALOUS EASILY: No. A lot of what would trigger jealousy in others only triggers curiosity in her.
TRUSTWORTHY: To a degree. She won't intentionally aim to betray anyone however she is not the most reliable person and when presented with an opportunity to understand or discover something new she will take it, no matter who it would affect or what promises may be broken.
DOMINANT: When she needs to be. She understands that sometimes it is necessary to take charge and/or dominate a discussion or situation. However, generally she prefers to stand back and observe or play devils advocate. She's an instigator, a button pusher and that would not be easy to do if people always felt a desire to capitulate to her.
SUBMISSIVE: When she needs to be. Her submissiveness is more like a mask, or a well worn coat, she can slip on and off when the occassion calls for it.
SINGLE: Yes.
RANDOM QUESTIONS
HAVE THEY HARMED THEMSELVES: Yes. Akroma was a prolific self harmer during her time in the Circle and will sometimes fall back in this habit during times of emotional distress. Her self-harm was/is always superficial and was never an attempt on her own life, but a maladaptive tactic she used to help regulate her emotions. Also as a blood mage she routinely cuts to cast
THOUGHT OF SUICIDE: Yes, during her earliest years in the Circle and when she first heard the false calling.
ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: No.
WANTED TO KILL SOMEONE: Yes. The Templar's from the Ferelden Circle (Templar's in general honestly) and Grand Enchanter Irving.
ACTUALLY KILLED SOMEONE: Yes. During the Blight and during her time as Inquisitor.
RIDDEN A HORSE: Yes. The Inquisition had a whole stable.
HAVE/HAD A JOB: She has done freelance work for the Mage's Collective and technically I guess you can count her time with the wardens and inquisition as a job.
HAVE ANY FEARS: Of being deprived of or missing out on an experience, obtaining new knowledge, or of understanding something.
FAMILY
SIBLING(S): She believes she has at least 4 siblings. Her two older siblings were taken to a circle years before her, and she doesn't know what happened to her two younger ones after she was taken.
PARENTS: Revka Amell
CHILDREN: none
PETS: She had mabari warhound named Liberty (she called her Libby), but she died several years ago.
