Det er dannet etter tysk men det er neppe ordet 'munn (gap, kjeft)' som ligger til grunn her, men det norrøne hunkjønnsordet 'mund' som er et gammelt germansk ord som betydde 'hånd,' 'rett,' og senere 'makt,' 'beskyttelse,' 'formynderskap.' Det er samme rot i dette ordet som i myndig, formynder, myndighet, osv. This expression has become a proverb. It is formed after German but it is hardly the word 'mouth' that is the basis here, but the Norse female word 'mund' which is an old Germanic word that meant 'hand,' 'right,' and later 'power,' 'protection ,' ' custody. ' It is the same root in this word as in legal, guardian, authority, etc.

athena: what are your favorite classic novels?

little women!!! growing up it was always alice in wonderland, and i love both novels immensely. 

artemis: do you prefer night or day? 

early morning. this si actually pretty weird coming from me, a complete b-person, but i just really love early mornings?? i hate getting up early, because i’m always so at loss for energy, but i love it when i do get up early. there’s something very special about morning. as we say in norway - morgenstund har gull i munn. 

echo: what’s something you can’t stop talking about?

BOOKS OK if you mention books i will not shut up you will have to stuff a sock in my mouth to shut me up. or writing, as long as i know you’re interested, because i don’t wanna bore you. i especially have this thing with norwegian classic literature, it’s like a clock that never goes off, it just keeps ticking. because i know so much that i really don’t need outside of NO class, so i use it in conversation. and i’m pretty sure i’m the only one who actually remembers this stuff so i’m always very alone in said conversation. 

zeus: if you could have one power, what would it be?

photographic/eidetic memory. it would be the coolest thing + my grades would be great, not to mention all the knowledge i’d gain.
