I finally finished!!!

I originally wrote this book in 2015-2016 for my senior project in high school. But the majority of these characters I’d had since I was about nine. I decided to edit/lowkey rewrite it and put it up on ao3 because I love my OCs. It’s a very cheesy story but hey. I had fun!

Also I’ve been working on the sequel since the year I finished the original, and it’s barely through, but it’s gonna be much better.

Considering that’s what’s happening in my book currently, I’d say Morgan is really good.

She and Ravaark have been married a long time, raised an adopted kid. And one day - they’re not that old probably late-forties - Ravaark gets really ill. He’s been bed-bound for years, and they’re so sweet to one another. I really want to do an animatic or something.

How good is your OC at taking care of someone who’s sick?

I did it. I posted my OC’s on AO3 for Dreamember. I mean, characters I’ve written a book for.

The actual book is terrible and I’m planning on doing a audio recording on YouTube so people can access it free (mostly for context since I plan on publishing the sequel I’ve been working on. Which will be able to be read without the first book.)

Anyways, I have stuff about them on my other tumblr @the-tale-of-dark-forest (as well as my Instagram for it @/ttodf_official. I post fanart there too.)

This is just in case anyone is curious about them. The characters in the chapter I posted today are Daniel and Morgan. I might do more one-shots a such on AO3 just because I love all of these OCs. (There’ll still be plenty of Zero and Jake stuff, don’t worry!!)

Wow.

So, in my book, Rius, his great aunt and uncle (by close bonds not blood) are names Morgan and Ravaark. (They’re also in my first book, which is a mess, but I love these characters, okay?)

Anyways, Ravaark is sick. Like, bed-bound sick. He started getting weakness in his limbs probably three or four years previous, and later on developed coughing that could sometimes have blood come up. His wife cares for him.

But I had this horrible, aching thought; I always planned that she would die first and then him. But, here’s the catch; he wakes up one morning (he’s always fighting death so he doesn’t leave Morgan behind) and she’s in the chair next to him, slumped partially on his bed. Her heart gave out. He fades within the same day.

But just. Why do I hurt myself with my OCs? I also have a perfect animatic song concept for this (they’re not a focus in the book at all, as Rius leaves his home town, but he will learn about their deaths.) I might sketch some stuff. But. Ouch.

Sirrius The MoonBlade is the protagonist of the first book. She’s a jalf (jaguar-wolf) with blue-gray eyes and a purple cloak. Her friends are Daniel Sunshard (a cyeetah/coyote-cheetah), Morgan Blueshaft (a Black vixen hybrid), and Ravaark (a Vairrn wolf).

She comes from Dark Forest.

Sirrius- “How can I help?”

Daniel- “You help them! Aradacraz is mine!”

Morgan- “Put me down! I am not doing this!”

Ravaark- “By his frozen death, I’ve been here long.”

Dunno if I’m doing this right, lol, but here I go:

1. Honestly, it would probably be more of a side character like Old Masonn or Xev. They’re just. Gone and then back.

2. Sirrius especially since Masonn is like an uncle to her, and Daniel might be a bit peeved. Morgan just shrugs it off while Ravaark is confused since he’s not well-acquainted. In regards to Xev, Mrs. Finsche would whack her with her walking stick, and Gearth would berate her with questions.

3. They’re all relieved, to be honest.

4. Morgan in regards to Old Masonn, and most of the town in regards to Xev.

Sirrius loves fall, just because it’s breathtaking.

Daniel is a fan of Spring. He likes easy temperatures and weather.

Morgan is a winter fan, because that’s when she, Daniel, and Sirrius all became best friends as kids.

Ravaark likes summer. Even though he’s a type of wolf he’ll curl up in the sun like a cat.
