Never getting over The Cursed Heart

I cannot believe I returned to Choices after what it felt like ages only to discover The Cursed Heart, fall in love with the story, the lore, the characters and ofc Kieran and then feel so sad bc of the ending?? This story was god tier, what do you mean there’s only 2 books?? This had the potential to be a trilogy. I’m gonna miss the characters so much. I’m not coping. And Kieran just went up to become one of the best Choices LIs of all time… I can’t believe it’s over.

Also I think Ren and Law are soulmates.

Not in any actual romantic "we were meant to be together and be boyfriends yayyy" sense, but rather in the way they were made to meet eachother. That they match each other in such a way that the universe brought them together for that purpose.

Ren's a liar. Infact, he is the exact definition of what Lawrence perceives to be a liar/flower. Not only this, but Ren is quite literally named "Lotus Flower"

He truly is a flower, using his looks to get what he wants, unrevealing of his true intention.

Of course, Lawrence is a liar too, but not in the same vein as Ren. Lawrence lies to himself rather than the people around him. He has no intent to deceive other people, he only lies to deceive himself. Constantly he tells himself that the events caused by him just can't be his fault, that it'll be different this time, someone was in the way, it was a accident, he's helping, etc, etc. He makes excuses, yet at the bane of his being understands that he is to blame and what he's doing is wrong, yet he separates himself from it anyway. (His tattoos are a perfect example of this)

He is a perfect match for someone like Ren.

Lawrence is an entirely different liar. A liar that lies to simply save their conscious mind. All Law needs is someone to listen too him. Someone so caring, so kind. Someone who can look past all his wrongs and be perfectly willing and submissive. (Sarcasm. He wants a living plant he can do whatever he wants too) In Ren's collared state, he is entirely like that. In Ren's free state, with the proper time and precaution he could be turned back into that easily with violence.

Or, he could take advantage of Lawrence's ideals, just as he already has when we meet them in BTD2.

They were born to meet.

They were meant to rip each other apart.
