i can't believe i forgot garlic bokchoy FDJLKSHAR that dish is one of the two things single handedly keeping my university experience afloat. what are your favourite tofu dishes though !!! (tofu is the other thing. LOL) - @staraxiaa

LOLLL garlic bokchoy (and green beans) are like... my litmus test whenever i go to a new chinese/taiwanese restaurant to see if the food is good. and i ate soooo much of it in college too. that, tofu, and a weekly da bing (that i would make myself so diligently 😭) were what kept me alive. also purple rice 🙏

oh my god... all the tofu dishes.... i LOVE fried tofu the most (i know it's japanese but agadashi tofu especially ohhhhhhhh), and anything with a garlic, sesame, or soy sauce. i love braised tofu too, and mapo tofu OFC!! also... when you halve soy puffs and toss them in a soup or hotpot and they soak up the broth...... hnnnngghh (i'm panting)

i also love the classic taiwanese tofu dessert where you throw silken tofu in a bowl with boba and some red beans (and jiufen taro/sweet potato balls, if you're excessive like me LMFAO), drizzle some syrup/milk/ice?? on it, and call it a night.
