More of a fluffy/sfw ask—,, puppygirl!reader just wanting to cuddle with everyone. Or being clingy in general. She sees Price sitting idly with his arms spread out on the couch, immediately she jumps on his lap to get a big hug, or it’s night time with pup!Gaz resting on some thick blankets, but on the other hand,,, she wants to make him her pillow! puppygirl!reader who is the most precious, affectionate thing price has ever met. it's almost like you were bred to be adored. big, soft, floppy brown ears, a fluffy tail, thick thighs, and a soft tummy? how could he not spoil you.

ever since he brought you home, you've always craved his touch. he finds it adorable. any moment possible, you're right by his side.

in the morning, when he's making you breakfast, you lean against him. tail rhythmically hitting the back of his leg as you wag it, sleepily nuzzling into his chest. its sweet, melts the vets heart as he soaks up the warmth you always seem to radiate.

it's like you're starved, an addict. any opportunity possible you'll take. price peacefully relaxing on the couch? you're on his lap, nuzzling into his neck, ears twitching and tail wagging as you seek his praise. he almost laughs, amused by how just soft pets and a few small words of praise make you melt.

even when he's away, doing errands or whatever else, you still seek him. he comes home to find you bundled up in his bed. seeking out his scent, his warmth. it's moments like that where he scoops you up, presses a kiss to your forehead, and lays you ontop him.

and if he thought you were clingy with him? well, it's a whole nother world when kyle comes. you're just so excited. price knows you were sheltered practically your whole life. youre already clingy enough with johnny when he visits. but kyle? who lives with you? you can barely contain yourself.

he can see the way you crave kyle affection, following him around the house, seeking him out every half hour. it's funny, one of those moments when he can see how similar to a puppy you really are, trailing after him as if youre lost.

if you're not by prices side, you're cuddled into kyle's. his arm around you, your head on the mutts chest while he watches TV, absentmindedly stroking your soft ears. or even forcing kyle into prices big bed, using his tummy as a pillow. surrounded by the soft warmth of kyle and the comforting scent of your owner.

kyle is always more than happy to indulge. he's not quite as clingy as you, but he thoroughly enjoys the warmth. it's hard being your guard dog, chasing off the other mean mutts that prey on your little self. or snapping at johnny when he holds you a little too rough.

he likes the feeling of being rewarded, the little soft kisses you place all around his face, the way you chrip and giggle happily. it reminds him that you're just a puppy, a cute little thing that needs him. that adores him. and that he adores tenfold.

but your favourite by far is when you get both of them. leaning back against prices chest as he sits, kyle snuggled between your legs on your soft tummy. the whole thing is calm, peaceful. it fills you with warmth, your tail wagging a mile-a-minute, only speeding up when price kisses the back of your head.

like. i used to think hualian must really be in sync because why are they able to accommodate each other and resolve conflict so well all of the time without talking about it that much? but this year i turned 25 and it gave me the realisation that they literally just know how to communicate like adults.

is this what they mean when they said you can feel when your brain is done developing. pre frontal cortex ready to go babey vroom vroom. more on this later

over the garden wall becoming a cult classic has been so weird to watch because i remember the time when it just came out so vividly. i remember how i and everyone around me reacted to it for the first time. and now i see gifsets every october

thinking about how essentially every relationship john locke formed in the early seasons of lost has completely disintegrated by the time of his death.

of course there's his relationship with jack, which starts tense but manageable and culminates in jack pointing a gun at john's head and pulling the trigger. but even his smaller, less narratively prominent relationships either implode or drift apart. he bonds with walt in season one but then walt leaves the island, which is itself a severing of their bond since it was mainly based on being the only two people who wanted to stay. still, he goes and visits walt off the island so this is probably john's most successful relationship. I dont think i need to explain how he fucked up with boone, "the sacrifice that the island demanded." charlie viewed john as a mentor and claimed to trust him more than anyone on the island, but after the events of fire and water, that trust is destroyed and charlie despises him. at the same time we get john bonding with claire and having a pseudo-paternal dynamic with her, but their closeness basically drops off the face of the earth as he gets less and less involved with the other survivors.

his arc in the series is essentially a gradual distancing from everyone around him. it starts when he abandons hunting (providing for the others) in favor of trying to get the hatch open (it's extremely clear his primary motive isn't any survival applications but getting answers to the mystery). when they do open the hatch, he spends more and more time inside, underground, cut off from other people. he spends more and more time interacting with ben, a human mystery box that he's obsessed with cracking even if it gets him killed. he follows the proverbial white rabbit deeper down the hole and leaves his connection to humanity behind. the island and its mysteries become more important to john than anything or anyone else.

then in season three we get him claiming to go undercover with the others only to unceremoniously tell sawyer that he's actually going to join them. and it doesn't feel shocking, it feels inevitable. because john has spent the entire series becoming less and less connected with the people he arrived with. in that sense he actually makes a fascinating foil to juliet, who is introduced as one of the others and yet never really fits, she's increasingly sympathetic and kind in a way the rest of them aren't, her redemption arc feels so natural that she actually starts referring to her old people as "the others" like she's been one of the crash survivors from the beginning. her and john basically have inverse arcs, which is probably accidental but very neat.

in season five john tries to convince everyone to go back to the island, and fails spectacularly. and of course he does, because he was so consumed by obsession that he stopped maintaining his relationships, and in many cases actively alienated people (this is also basically what happened with helen) and now he can't wrap his head around why they're all so hostile to him. i am forever obsessed with the scene where he confronts kate and she brutally calls him out for wanting to return to the island because he doesn't love anyone. it actually struck me on rewatch how well the two of them got along in season one, and how badly their relationship has degraded by this point. john repeatedly casts aside interpersonal relationships in favor of his obsession with destiny, so when said destiny actually involves persuading the people he once shunned, he's at a loss. this is because john treats purpose as a supplement for connection, destiny as an alternative to love.

as an aside, this aspect of john's character kinda ties into my opinion that several lost characters can be read as allegorically neurdivergent under a certain lens. i know this was absolutely not intended, but as an adhd former gifted kid who struggles socially, there is something uncomfortably familiar about a character who allows their relationships to burn around them because of a single-minded obsession, especially as a result of being promised the fickle status of "special."

tl/dr: john locke is a doomed idiot and i love him

England headcanons (pt. 1):

Chain-smokes like a motherfucker. Alfred, who doesn't smoke and pretends very hard to think smoking is disgusting, hasn't yet realised where his secret smoking kink comes from.

Currently works for British Intelligence/has infiltrated his own government.

Carries around either a cane or umbrella that hides a sword even though he has never ONCE had to use it. He just feels more comfortable having a sword. (He does also carry around a gun, which, in contrast, has been used often.)

Also carries around his own pen, and absolutely loathes the thought of using someone else's. The pen is a first edition Michel Perchin Serpent in Champagne LE Fountain Pen given to him by Alfred - only ten were ever made and it cost a cool 8k. While Arthur has more valuable things - especially from his time as a pirate and back when he personally knew his royal family - the pen is still one of his most prized possessions.

His favourite tea is actually French Earl Grey - which is Earl Grey with rose petals. Not actually French? But Arthur's still pretty annoyed about it.

As mentioned in a few of my other posts - Arthur is incredibly physical and has kept up with sword fighting and various martial arts over the years, and regularly goes to the gym. He's very disciplined about it.

Tends to eat only for fuel as opposed to enjoyment whenever he's left to his own devices.

If pressed, Arthur will admit his best friend is Francis. Francis would say the same about Arthur.

(Despite their individual body counts, Francis and Arthur have never slept with each other.)

(Arthur doesn't have a lot of friends and has a strained relationship with his siblings, and has always felt that people don't like spending time with him. Even when he was on top of the world, working with his government to become an Empire, he still felt like an underdog.)

On that note, Arthur worked with his government longer than the other Nations, and was a huge part of establishing the British Empire. It made his already fraught relationship with his siblings even worse, and he regrets a lot of it.

Nations get scars very rarely, because very few things have the ability to give them scars - magical weapons is one of those things. Out of all the Nations, England has the most scars.

England is amazing at knitting and crochet, and he gifts Francis crocheted figurines from French cartoons for his birthday every year, which Francis adores. He also knits Canada scarves and gloves and beanies whenever he remembers him.

One of Arthur's most embarrassing memories is getting gonorrhea during his pirate days. He didn't have sex for a month after his healing kicked in - a record back then - and he became a lot more diligent in procuring and using the linen sheaths they used as condoms at the time.

Three of Arthur's back molars are implants made of real gold.

Alfred is the first (and last) person Arthur will say he's ever fallen in love with BUT the closest he's come is with another American - a nurse that took care of him during World War I. She was blonde and blue eyed and once shouted Arthur down when he insisted on continuing to fight even with a bullet lodged in his shoulder. She completely disappeared in April 1917, just before the Americans officially joined the war. He sometimes wonders what happened to her.
