He never expected that he would ever be a father but he wouldn't change this for the world.

Mordecai is a pretty laid back partner.

He doesn’t really care much for PDA. It makes him feel kind of weird to do stuff in public. The most he’ll do is wrap an arm around your waist when you have a moment to stand around. 

It’s different behind closed doors however. While he doesn’t engage too much, he really enjoys kisses: the playful, loving kind where he can show you how much he appreciates you.

Mordecai is more charming than people give him credit for. The sweet names he calls you with his gravelly voice is enough to give anybody butterflies.

He’s not really much of a cuddler because Pandora gets too damn hot for that. He likes friendly competition. He’s always down to have a snipe-off or see who can take down the most targets. He’ll never say no to your offer of a competition because he thinks you look hot as fuck when you’re shooting.

If Lilith has a job for one of you, you can bet the other one is coming too. You work better together, and she likes having the two of you on her side as a power couple.

Tiny Tina and Brick are CONSTANTLY poking fun at you two. Mordecai gave you a quick peck in front of them one time and they bullied the fuck out of him.

Sometimes she’ll even stick closer to you than she does Mordecai. Normally he’d be a little jealous. That’s his bird, damn it. But he likes that his favorite animal and his favorite person get along so well. 

It doesn’t really bother him if you don’t drink, but if you do, he likes when you join him. Sometimes he’ll overdo it and you might need to tend to him and watch over him.

Borderlands 2 spoilers ahead

Mordecai is a wreck after the death of Bloodwing. He becomes much more reclusive, closing himself off from the vault hunters, from the world, from you. He drinks much more than he normally does, getting blackout drunk almost every night. He doesn’t know what to do with himself.

If you choose to stand by him through all of this, you become his rock. You’re the only thing anchoring him down. You’re a warm, safe place for him to nestle down and cry when he’s feeling too much. He clings to your warmth as you wipe his puffy, red eyes and kiss away his tears.

With time, with love, with patience, he’ll learn to heal. But for now, he’s eternally grateful that he has you.

Talon was a blessing. Of course, he would never replace the love Mordecai had for Bloodwing, but it filled the hole in his heart that formed after her death. Talon was a new start for him, the creation of a little family: You, Mordecai, and Talon.

He quit drinking after he got Talon, finding the strength to move on and grow. To be a better man for himself and for you.

Mordecai lay on his side in bed, clutching his swollen abdomen in pain.

He knew what was happening to him, it started happening every other month after he turned eighteen.

He had to lay eggs for lack of better terms.

They were the size of robins egg and pale, the amount varied between five and twenty five every time, rarely more than that, he assumed said eggs would swell if fertilized.

He was in a form of heat, his libido raised somewhat and urge to breed something, anything through the roof.

"Hey dude, you good, you haven't left our room all day man." Rigby asked through the door, Mordecai heard the doorknob jostle and he formulated a half assed answer.

"Don't come in! I'm… I'm kind of in heat." Mordecai stated, snapping into a sitting position for the first half of his statement, he felt the eggs inside of him shift in their pouch situated above his bladder.

Rigby wanted to ask more, desperately, but he didn't, the two had had sex before.

"Anywhere between five and twenty five, I really don't think we should do this." Mordecai said, trying to avoid eye contact, shuddering when Rigby pressed a paw to his abdomen gently, nearly moaning when the raccoon added pressure.

"Do it." Was all Rigby said, the words didn't fully register for Mordecai who was already starting to lose his grip around someone, Rigby pawing at his abdomen caused him to slip as well.

Mordecai tackled Rigby to the ground, ovipositor already starting to rise, Rigbys folds where slick already. Mordecai started with a simple, yet effective, preen of Rigbys scent glands, the raccoon moaned when Mordecai nicked at his neck. Mordecai flipped the raccoon to his stomach before starting to press in one feathered digit, Rigby gave a flick of his tail as a response.

"I'm nowhere near ready to be a parent, sure, I could just not cum at the end of this and leave those eggs infertile, but then what, how the fuck am I gonna remove them?"

Rigby couldn't force out an answer, he knew they both weren't ready to be parents, but right now was perfect for the raccoon. He could just get a surgery later to remove them after they've swelled up and he's had his kicks.

"Mordecai, please man, just breed me already," Rigby begged getting to a upright position, he was nearly panting, the eggs resting in his gut shifted and caused pleasure to spark. "I want to be filled with your eggs, I want to be immobile with your young, I want to be your childrens parent, I want you." The words falling off Rigbys tongue had Mordecai on the verge of orgasm, such vows in such a state shouldn't be taken seriously, but Mordecai forgot and was nearly hilting in Rigby once again.

Cal Lucia plays Fire Emblem Path of Radiance: Chapter 8

Just two stray thoughts before I get to the actual chapter - one, for as much as I enjoy the game overall thus far, I have to say that music isn't really all that remarkable. The track that plays on certain maps when they are almost cleared is nice, but it's the only song I really enjoy (which is probably not surprising given that it also made it into Smash). The track that plays when Daein generals like Petrine are on screen meanwhile is just. . . silly.

Not to constantly compare the game to the modern FEs, but with Greil in particular, I feel there's def a comparison to be made with Jeralt in Three Houses. To be more precise, I just feel that Greil's death has more weight to it since the first seven chapters (plus prologue) of the game really took their time to not only set him up, but also his connection to the mercenaries, and how they play off of him. Jeralt, by contrast. . . he doesn't really interact that much with anybody, and since Byleth is functionally mute in 3H, the impact of his death solely hinges on the connection the player forms with him. It really works just better in PoR, and not just because Ike isn't mute.

Ouh, case in point! A flashback (that seems to take place in the exact spote where Greil got killed), a CG illustration of Ike and Mist at the tombstone. . . that's the good stuff.

Ahhhhh and Titania putting her own grief aside the moment she notices Ike showing up! Ike apologizing to her and Soren, thanking them for sticking with him!

And exit Shinon and Gatrie. Shinon was just about expected, but I am lowkey surprised that Gatrie left with him. From a gameplay perspective I can understand it, since he also was a pre-promote, but from his writing, he always seemed more onboard with Ike than Shinon did. But then again, given the 🏳️‍🌈 vibes between them. . .

Oh, the way Ike assumes responsibility. . . it definitely reminds me of Chrom taking over as exalt in Awakening. And, given that Ike doesn't have to share the protag status with two other characters, I hope that unlike Awakening, this gets properly resolved and developed

Soren is pretty humble here, huh? That's some of the basis for their chemistry then, I take it

Ahh, finally stuff like the convoy, buying items and supports get introduced. . . really rather late for my liking, but at least it neatly ties into the story here

Only got one support unlocked so far, which is the C support between Ike and Oscar. Good found family content in that one, though! And lol @ Mist's cooking.

"Info". . .? Not quite sure what to make of that menu point. But Aimee and Muston! I've definitely seen Aimee before, in one of those "Ike doesn't care about affection from women" posts. I'll gladly take her affection though

Ahh, bonus experience! I've heard a bit about that gameplay mechanic. . . and also already learned that I missed out on a lot on that escape map when I had Ike escape first. I hope that future chapters actually tell you what these bonus objectives are. . .

I levelled up Mia once with this and she got stats on everything except for resistence???

Why, an enemy unit who's a cute girl and not the boss? She's definitely not important.

Three clear chokepoints, and enemies that just approach you one after another. Pretty doable. The cleric with the fire jewel tried to escape, but I managed to track him down with Titania and get the thing.

Mist talking about wanting to die alongside Ike?? Holy shit, that's dark

Oh my. Big buff cat man Mordecai. . . I remember a post about somebody wanting to fuck him, and then needing to clarify that they didn't mean a cartoon bird by the same name

Lethe! Honestly surprised that it took this long for them to introduce a catgirl. And she doesn't immediately trust Ike and the others. . . that's neat.

Ah. Soren does a racism. I did wonder why he's more divisive among some people, so I guess that'd do it

You know, for how antagonist Lethe was just a moment ago, she did calm down very quickly here, mission or not

i saw that post of you wanting pople to ask you about your regular show rewrite and i saw the bits of it you posted and i wanna know more

okayyyee sry this is a late response

like most things I invented this lore alongside @crystalfloe and she's brilliant and amazing and the guy who got me into regular show

first things first you need to understand this is. for some fucking reason. a lore heavy regular show au/rewrite. it's so cringe man. please remember this is regular show

that aside the general premise is that The Park is haunted/cursed. The Park is a magical landmark that wants to preserve itself + nature and needs guardians/workers to take care of it. so it "selects" people (normally those who live on park property).

Mordecai and Rigby do not know this. they are 2 normal human dudes who suck at life and desperately need a job so they go to The Park, which they know always has Help Wanted signs (because nobody wants to work at The Cursed Park).

They meet Benson, who Is A Gumball Machine, and they're like... yooo wtf. they don't know why he's like this. but in this world it's not unheard of for weird mutants or objectheads to exist, so they decide not to ask questions because dude that's totally insensitive.

Benson hands them an employee contract and stresses that they Need to Read the Fine Print if they want to work here. Mordecai and Rigby do not read the fine print. They freak the fuck out when The Park starts Cursing them by turning them into animals.

Turns out The Park is a big fan of character development, and mutates the people it Selects to encourage it; if mordecai and rigby stop being dicks, their mutations reverse. This is how you get blue haired anime boy with wings out of a greasy emo art dropout. The general Plot of their lives know is dealing with this forced character development, hiding their mutations because they're 20 and easily embarrassed, and learning to work with them instead of fight against them.

Mutations generally follow a theme based on the Most Character Development Needed. Benson is uptight, doesn't know how to relax, and is awful with children, so he's Cursed™ into being a literal candy dispenser. Mordecai has shit self-esteem, so he's a flashy preening bird. There is nothing wrong with Rigby Rigby doesn't shower /has general living issues so he's a literal rodent but one that's actually known for its hygiene.

If you become aware of The Curse, The Park gets pissy and makes it so you can't reverse your mutations. This is what happened to Skips; his anger issues when he was younger translated into being a gorilla, and then he found out how it worked /tried to game the system, and now he's stuck like that. It can still get worse, but it can't get better

Muscleman + hi five are a unique case. 'Mitch' was a park employee who was an insane daredevil with no regard for his own safety, who ramped a car into a flaming pit and died in the wreckage (maybe this was The Curse, who knows). MM and HF are the aftermath; MM is the zombie corpse reanimated, and HF is Mitch's ghost/soul. Neither of them remember their past or even know that they're technically the same guy, and there's like a whole character arc around that and realizing that you're a different person now

Techmo is also a unique case (thumbs up for techmo enjoyers). instead of being a human who was cursed, he was actually created directly by the park to be a nature guardian. he got a little silly obsessive evil with it until he realized what The Park was doing to him, so he left and got into technology in an effort to distance himself from the nature of The Park as much as possible. There's parallels now between him and Mordecai; Mordecai has main character syndrome, and so The Park is trying to basically make him a second Techmo.

Pops is. Uhhh I don't think we worked Pops out fully. He's an alien still and not actually tied to The Park the same way the others are, which gives him a little more freedom. Plus he doesn't need character development he's already the perfect man

generally, The Park isn't actually an inherently *good* entity. It has goals and a specific mindset it wants its Guardians to have, and part of the nuance of working at The Park is balancing helpful character development (such as Benson learning to relax) with The Park's fucked up selfish agenda (like replacing Mordecai's mind to have the ideal Guardian. don't worry about it).

That Mordecai ask is extremely funny because my first thought was "From regular show??? 🤨" for a split second before realizing that there must be another Mordecai I was unaware of. There are just too many Mordecai's out there.
