Events in Gujarat

After the previous travels I reached at 40 km of Somnath temple in an ashram called Vrindavan Rampara.

Not far from the ashram it was held the katha of Morari Bapu which had to stop because of the beginning of the lockdown. It was a touching program. Even if I don’t speak Gujarati it was very touching especially the bhajans.

Morari bapu presides over an Urdu mushayra during cultural events at his Ram katha during the evening. Only a Hindu saint is open hearted enough to invite and listen to Muslim poets during a his religious event.

Morari Bapu came to London and brought 140 poets, singers and musicians with him for the 9 days katha he recited at Wembley Arena.

Of the 6 cultural evenings, 3 evenings had predominantly Muslim artists - gazhals, shers, mushairas, Zakir Hussain's tabla concert. 3 evenings were for bhajans, Gujarati Dayro and classical music.

Such boheme between different artists is a testimony of Moraribapu and Rameshbhai's boundless love of culture and generosity.

ALL cultural events during the katha were provided free of charge.
