Shanna! I have a question about Chism! Are the gods/goddesses regional? Meaning are there other kingdoms who have other gods and goddesses or since Rhea imprisoned Tae does that mean the Entire World is experiencing eternal summer? Also for like sea faring folk are the summer storms especially bad? And do they not have certain foods that are usually grown in winter? or do they just grow them anyway?

oh! and I forgot to say: thank you for writing such a fantastic story, it's already become one of my favorites and honestly you're such a talented writer I really really look up to you! 

Number one, you are so kind!! Thank you so much for enjoying/reading Chism. I really appreciated your reblog as well, and your commentary on fanfic in the tags TT I completely agree with you on that. Oo, these are such interesting questions! I’m not sure if you noticed, but Taehyung does occasionally mention other Gods throughout the story... like in the Epilogue, when he swears by saying the word Christ. Also important to note is that the Goddesses of Spring and Autumn felt they were safe on another continent. In the world of Chism, the Gods only extend to Chism and it’s immediate surroundings. There are other Gods/Goddesses who exist in Chism’s neighboring fantasy lands, much as Norse mythology exists in a different pantheon than Egyptian. 

For the sea-faring folk, weather/storms have been minimal since they have been under Rhea’s control. For the past twenty-or-so years, she has been able to control the Summer. During the events of Chism though, the weather is worsening due to her season slipping beyond her abilities.

There are not many foods grown in Winter which could not be grown during Summer, but those that are are grown through magic. Some humans have power specializing in such things.
