I am back.
I wanna explain why I just suddenly crashed a yesterday...
It has been on my mind, In September, when my friend started uploading their OC here, I saw that many people commented on their post, Many people seemed like they actually cared. I didn't mind it much, I was happy they were getting SUPPORT. Then after a while, the more they posted, the more comments on their posts got. People interacted with them, talked with them, complimented them. After a while I started comparing my introduction card and theirs, 10 uncommented reblogs, 60 likes, 0 comments. No comments. No comments. No one supported me or complimented, just liked. I tried to ignore it and told myself I will get comments if I post more. So I continued. And then my other friend came to join the community, somehow, they still got comments and support. And another new creator came, and people commented on their posts too, talking about the character's lore. Watching all of these happen to others while my comments always stay on 0 made me feel so... disappointed, like, am I not doing much? It made me think that my comments are turned off and I checked it DAILY. I only ever got comments during hard situations, or when I gifted people, never on my work. I got my FIRST comment on my work on the MoonMan animation, I was so happy. I tell you. To me, comments make me motivated, It's like support to me. Thats why when I firstly posted Muri, I didn't post for another month. I didn't get any comments on her. I thought people didn't like her.
-now, IM SUPER GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOU!!!! yall are amazing, I have mentioned it many times about how much I love you all. Im super grateful for everyone and everything. Don't think wrongly, but sometimes Envy gets the best of me. And I'm shocked to say this. The thing that happened the day I crashed was an episode.
-In September I was overthinking, and then suddenly Sweetswirlybread came out of no where and then the situation continued and continued to the point a picture of me was EXPOSED here and even my private blog and fake accusations and all the distress and emotions I was feeling stacked up and caused a big episode on me that lasted longer than expected. My episodes usually last a few hours or a day, but this time it lasted for a whole week. When I am during episodes I can't tyep properly, which is probably why the way I spoke in my last post was not that understandable. After I made that post I cried the whole day, not even because of the situation, just because of how hard the episode hit me. Remembering all the distress and suddenly getting told to delete all my accounts and that people are tracking me down angered me.
-I completely crashed out in my last post, I was angry at everyone and also at myself, I was disappointed in everyone and felt strong emotions. And I am sorry for putting pressure on everyone, I am sorry letting my episode go through so easily, usually, I'm not on my phone during episodes. But I seriously felt so dark at the moment. Right now, I look at my last post, and even I don't understand the words I wrote.
-I am NOT forcing you all to comment on my posts, no!! If you don't want to talk in my posts then sure, I'm okay with it. It's okay if you're too busy, or embarrassed, or just in general don't talk in people's posts. I'm not asking you for anything, If you guys won't comment on my post it won't cause me another episode, so don't worry about that too. I know It's not only hard for me, but It's hard for everyone. I am happy you all support me in your own ways, you're all amazing. I love you all. I really do, I'm sorry for making you think otherwise.
I know you guys support me, It was hard for me to see it through so much envy I was feeling. Plus the whole drama crashed me so much distress so I was so confused and disappointed to the point I completely crashed.
I wanna say that I am sorry for worrying anyone, or if I put pressure on people, or if you think that I hate you. I am deeply sorry for it, and I felt very bad the day after. I really am sorry. I want to show how much I actually do appreciate you all.
I love you all, I'm sorry for getting mad so suddenly. If you still have any questions about what I meant in some sentences in my last post I can tell you in a more understanding way.
I had to cut my break short cus I felt deeply saddened by how I crashed out on everyone. And i wanna say I am sorry.

“You don’t have to be strong all the time.”
-Eclipse & Blood Moon-
Blood Moon paces anxiously outside the closed door that leads to Eclipse’s room, pausing to listen in whenever they hear voices filter out from inside.
Eclipse was unwell. That was the only way they could describe it. He had days where he would lash out and then forget about the argument altogether, sometimes unable to walk or move beyond simply sitting up or turning over. Blood Moon hated these days. They hated them even more when Moon said they might become a common occurrence, willing that not to be the case, but, alas…here they were. Making rounds about the room like a nervous dog.
It had been bad today. Eclipse had woken up confused and lethargic, only deteriorating until Blood Moon decided to fetch Moon to check him over. Even Moon had seemed a bit worried, going as far as to usher Blood Moon out of the room to assess Eclipse’s condition in private.
The twins bicker in their mindscape, setting the body on auto-pilot while they outlet their emotions. Perhaps not in a particularly healthy way, but who would judge? It was all in their head - no one would hear.
“What if something is terribly, horribly, catastrophically wrong??”
“The Moon will fix it, trust his judgement.”
“I’d rather eat a tennis ball than trust Moonman.”
“I’m sure he has a plan.”
“Can you stop rhyming for five god damn minutes?? This is serious!!”
Scythe lets out a scoff, but doesn’t offer a retort. Instead, they turn away and begin fidgeting nervously with their claws, watching the code run endlessly around them. They register their show of anxiety before long, however, fiercely snapping their arms back to their sides like a cadet standing at attention.
“Why can’t you let yourself be worried? I want to know I’m not alone in this.” Sickle slinks closer to their other half, only for them to pull further away.
“You are alone. He still has mistakes of which he needs to atone. Until then, how do we know he’s grown?” Scythe’s tone is flat, feigned frustration present behind their words. Sickle doesn’t buy it.
“He’s done so many things for us! If you hadn’t noticed him changing, you wouldn’t want to front when he’s around. You and I both know that you enjoy his company. Why is that such a bad thing?”
Scythe huffs. They aren’t able to offer a response before Moon opens the door to Eclipse’s room and both brothers are fighting for control of the body, finally settling on a mutual agreement that splits the console both ways.
They scamper up to Moon, trying to peer around him into the room beyond.
“He’ll be alright. Today’s worse than usual, but it’s nothing that some rest won’t fix.” Moon comments as his rougher, more violent counterpart begins to knead at the ground with their claws, leaving marks on the wooden boards beneath them.
“Can we see him?” Blood Moon asks, voice sharp and intense, almost daring Moon to deny their request.
“I…suppose. Be careful, though. He’s not in his right mind, so to speak.” Moon replies hesitantly, stepping to the side to allow the twins to enter the room beyond. They bolt inside immediately, though give pause at the sight of their father, so obviously worn and troubled, leaning against a pile of pillows carefully organized to prop him upright. Their pace slows, taking small, measured steps towards the bed.
Eclipse groggily lifts his head, blinking the fog out of his eye.
“E-Eclipse?” Blood Moon murmurs anxiously, internally battling the urge to outright call him ‘dad’ or ‘father’ in case he doesn’t register being addressed that way.
“Hm?”
It’s like talking through a window, or a screen door. The words reach him, but he doesn’t react in the way they had hoped he would. He’s there, physically, but…where is his mind? His thoughts? His feelings? He seems so…empty.
“Do you…know who we are?” They ask the husk of their father, each passing moment tearing a deeper wound in their core that they hadn’t realized was there until it throbbed.
“Of course, boys. Why wouldn’t I?”
Those words should bring more comfort than they do. Instead, they only seem to worsen Blood Moon’s unease.
“What is going on with him?”
“His recollection seems rather…slim.”
“But he knows us. That has to count for something, right?”
“It might.”
Cautiously, they slink closer to the side of the bed, remaining within reach of Eclipse but still far enough to make a break for the door, if needed.
“Something is…wrong. With you. Are…you alright?” Blood Moon asks, resisting the urge to throw themselves onto Eclipse and sob into his chest like a child. They can’t quite explain it, but they don’t think they’d get the reaction they need from Eclipse if they did such a thing. Not now. Not with him like this.
Eclipse’s optic trails down to his lap, staring vacantly at his claws. His gaze dims for a moment, brows furrowing, processing their question while simultaneously comprehending none of it all at once.
As his stare becomes clouded with indecision, Blood Moon moves closer, making a move to climb onto the bed while they wait for their answer. As soon as their hand touches the blankets, however, Eclipse seems to snap out of his trace, hand lashing out and claws sinking into Blood Moon’s own. They let out a hiss of alarm, wrenching their arm back and tugging their hand out of their father’s grasp, sending a splatter of oil over the floor between them.
They back away like a wounded dog, metaphorical tail between their legs and head bowed fearfully.
“My turn.”
The body stalls, limbs going rigid and eyes going black. Before long, however, they switch back on and flash furiously, blazing pentagrams burning in the depths of their dark, grating gaze.
“Get a grip, before we rip, tear, and dismantle your delicate skeleton into pieces of gelatin, simpleton!” They snarl, bristling like an agitated cat. Eclipse slowly shifts backwards, sitting right back where he was before his sudden and unprovoked attack.
“I…I didn’t…” Eclipse’s voice is distant, confused. His optic flits back down to his claws again, flexing them slowly, as if their presence disturbs him despite the fact that he’s had them his entire life. At least…as far as the twins know.
Slowly, they relax, allowing the slightest hint of curiosity to linger on their face.
“Do…do you have any idea what’s going on with you?”
The dam cracks. “No. No, I don’t. I don’t know what’s going on.”
Blood Moon remains silent at their father’s admission, eyeing him dubiously. Slowly, cautiously, they begin to slide towards the bed once more.
”Boys, I-I don’t want to hurt you again, don’t-“ Once Eclipse realizes what his sons are doing, he tries to deter them, a spark of panic flaring in his chest. The oil on the floor, on his claws, sinks into his CPU and takes root like a damn virus, refusing to budge no matter where he looks. His mind always brings him back to the oil, to the reminder of what he’s just done. He doesn’t even know why. He doesn’t have any good reason to give them, some assurance that it won’t happen again-
“Dad.” Their voice cuts through the fog like a knife, hands grasping at shaking arms as Eclipse jolts, almost flinching away if it weren’t for their unyielding grip keeping him in place.
“You’re having a bad day. There’s nothing wrong with not being okay.” They assure him, their voice uncharacteristically gentle.
All Eclipse can do is stare at them, quietly. The shock keeps his mouth shut. It shouldn’t be like this. He’s supposed to be the one comforting them. This…this is all wrong. Very, very wrong. But…what can he do? His mind is sluggish, each thought fleeting and nearly incomprehensible. His hands feel weak, yet he knows they aren’t, as the intensity he clawed Blood Moon with was anything but weak. Each limb aches fiercely, each movement only increasing the strain.
And he has no explanation. No reason why.
“I’m sorry, boys. I’m so, so sorry.” He rasps, his voice cracking. Despite the vulnerability in his tone, he refuses to allow the tears that sting at the back of his optics to flow freely down his face. At least, not until Blood Moon speaks again.
“You’re scared. We’re scared. That’s okay. It’s okay to be scared.”
They remember curling up beside his body, listening intently to his shallow, raspy breaths. All they could think was “it was us, it is our fault he’s like this.”
They hated the fear they felt then. Hated the terror that came with bated breath, waiting for Eclipse to go cold and still one final time. They felt it wasn’t justified, that it made no sense because they were at fault.
But what is fear, if not the consequences of an action? It could be your action, or someone else’s, but, either way…
It’s still a consequence. A result. Everything stems from something. Blood Moon should know. They stemmed from Eclipse. And they won’t abandon him just because he’s feeling some consequences, too.
“Blood, it’s more complicated than that-“ Eclipse begins to argue, but Blood Moon silences him with a simple shake of their head, cutting him off before he can finish.
“You don’t have to be strong all the time.”
This time, the damn breaks. Eclipse lets out a choked sob and pulls his sons into a tight embrace, holding them against his chest. They allow this, cuddling into his hold, wrapping their own arms back around him. They can’t quite explain it - don’t quite know why - but their own eyes sting with unshed tears after only a few moments of being held.
“I love you, boys. I love you so damn much.”
“We love you too, Dad.”
“Both of you?”
“Both of us.”
Perhaps Blood Moon’s hand is wrapped gently and carefully in handmade bandages the next day. Perhaps the bandages are orange and red, and perhaps the scratches they hide aren’t deep enough to truly need any sort of mending anyways.
Perhaps Blood Moon doesn’t care. Perhaps they wear them and wash them like one would a prized possession, keeping them on at all other times.
Perhaps they only let Eclipse put them back after every wash…
And perhaps he smiles when he does.

Slimey moonman, wanna yeet stinkman supreme groomer mc sleezyball into the sun.
Someone else a few years back did a better write up of it. But Achemea takes advantage of when Cairngorm's life has been destabilized (removed from structural support of gem society in a foreign land) to instill doubts about themself, isolate them, and center their new identity and emotional well being around himself. It's no coincidence that Cairngorm's new identity is as Achemea's Princess and Wife before they are their own person and this is all done in the veneer and language of self independence and choice. To add another layer of slime to this let's remember that gem society doesn't have the concept of gender so Cairngorm is acting out femininity to please Achemea while not knowing what "woman" or "wife" mean.
"Aechmea reshapes Cairngorm body to be more feminine. He guides their clothing decisions into a more feminine and cute style which often include a bralette despite Cairngorm not having breasts of any type of sex characteristic. He gives them a tiny pet dog (that fits the image of a “lady”) to give them a reason to exist that is tied back to him and shifts Cairngorms babysitter role from Phos to the dog. He then shoehorns them into a heteronormative relationship despite Cairngorm not understanding the concepts of gender, romance, or sexuality. By this point Caingorm has tied up their existence with fitting into the role that Aechmea wants them in, and is deluding themself into thinking this is what they really want that Cairngorm happily goes along as long as its Aechmea’s desire (though their strong common sense does poke through once in a while). A good example of all this is the wedding scene where Cairngorm has no concept of why kissing is a desirable thing or what it means but does it for Aechmea." (https://semi-imaginary-place.tumblr.com/post/186087463486)
Spoilers past ch 75 until like 102? What chapter are we one now.... Achemea was also totally going to throw away Cairngorm once their usefulness was done. The permanent vacation or whatever to the outer moon. Also it's arguable that Cairngorm did become female in the end by the time of Part at the End and the 10,000 (?) Year timeskip. Because gender is in part performative in that part of gender is that act itself of acting out gender and after so many years in Lunarian society there's a pretty good case that Welegato understood, accepted, and performed femininity even if that came from a place of manipulation, gaslighting, and grooming.
Aechemea failing to seduce Phos is sooo funny. Like there is he putting on all the charm, trying to impress Phos. Too bad Phos is stupid and dense as a rock and interprets Achemea's flirting as threats. Like Phos does not pick up one ounce of what Achemea is putting down, does not norice at all. And Achemea goes "ok this isn't working I need a new plan" and immediately pivots to pulling the same strategy on Phos's babysitter aka Cairn.

Blackberry Brambles - 1
The next part of Blackberry Brambles! Fae AU. Here we meet Sun. And we get our Reader's official name in the story.
When you wake, you wake to a dull throb in the back of your head. At which point you snap your eyes open and jolt into an upright, sitting position. Whereupon you discover that you are no longer in your home.
The room that you now sit within is a stark difference from the building you’re familiar with. Walls made of wood and stone surround you. The window on the nearby wall is open faintly, allowing a warm breeze to waft into the room. Everything about the setting sings to you with a familiar tune, creating memories of log cabins tucked away comfortably in the distant woods. The space itself is comfortable and luxurious. Though the luxury is deftly lost in the haze of panic that settles over you.
You know not how you got here, but you know that this is not your home.
The pain in your head remains as a reminder of what transpired the night before. Memories of the terrifying statue creature invading your space and flying into a rage over something so simple as blackberries.
You recall the destruction to your home in faint flashes of recollection, the pain only growing more intense the more you linger on these thoughts. So much so that you’re forced to clutch your head in an attempt to soothe away the agony as it sets in. A low groan escapes you as you do so.
In a way, you feel hungover. Your head and your body ache in a manner all too familiar to anyone unfortunate enough to have poisoned themselves with one to many sips of alcohol.
But the pain gradually fades as the memories finish playing out. Until finally you’re left in more of a daze than anything else. Confused and terrified. Completely unsure as to how you’ve come to arrive in this cozy little cot, but certain that being here is not a good sign.
Your anxieties only grow as you take notice of a familiar sound. Footsteps upon a stone floor. The sound echoes from behind the distant door, cluing you in to the fact that some entity is quickly approaching you. So quickly in fact that you only have the time to throw the blankets off of your lap before the door swings open.
“Go----od morning~!” An unfamiliar, overly enthusiastic voice hits your ears as your eyes settle upon the terrifying entity which has made its way into the room.
Another creature with a face made of wood and stone. One which strongly resembles the “Moonman” that had invaded your home and attacked you the night prior. The difference now only being their vibrant coloration and their pale, lifeless eyes.
Where the Moonman’s eyes had been cast alight with the fiery glow of hate, this entity; the Sunman as you’ve quickly decided to call them, has wide eyes that give away none of their emotions. Gazing upon them is genuinely like gazing upon a statue.
If not for their energetic movements and the friendly sound of their voice, you would not have been able to tell what manner of mood they were in. And even though you’re admittedly relieved to find that the Sunman does not share in the Moonman’s blatant malice, you’re still terrified.
You do not know what this creature is or what it wants. All that you know, at this moment, is that you’ve been stolen away from your home.
You don’t know if this creature seeks to help you or to harm you. You don’t know if they’re a friend of the creature that abducted you, or if they’re an enemy of theirs. But you know that they unnerve you. Even as they stare at you with that wide, seemingly friendly smile, you’re nervous.
They appear to take notice of this. And as such let out something that could be described as a nervous laugh.
“Oh! How silly of me. One moment.” The entity utters.
You then watch as they reach up towards their round, oversized head. Admittedly you’re a bit surprised to find that it isn’t their head at all, but some manner of oversized mask that had been secured to their real head through some unknown means. Regardless of how the mask has been so securely fitted, or how they manage to see you from behind it, you’re relieved to find that this creature isn’t a walking statue at all.
When the mask comes off and your eyes settle upon the human face, you first mistake them for another person. Though that mistake is quickly corrected when they smile at you.
Three sets of sharp canines are put on full display when the man grins.
Despite his smile appearing to be genuine, the inhuman state of him quickly makes you feel all the more uneasy.
All at once you find yourself honing in on all of the other abnormalities with his features. His pointed ears. The freckles upon his face that appear to shimmer like flakes of gold in the sun. For as human as he initially appeared to be when the mask came off, you quickly recognize that he is anything but human.
He puts his mask down upon the floor, before pointing to his face.
“Here I am!” He utters in a playful tone, before stepping further into the room.
You respond in kind by backing up upon the bed, rightly terrified of this inhuman being that has approached you. He seems to be a bit taken aback by this, before letting out another nervous little chuckle.
“Oh. I suppose I should be explaining a few things, while I have you here.” He mutters, sort of anxiously studying you as you study him in turn. He then clears his throat, before motioning to the bed.
“May I sit?” He asks, now addressing you in a polite tone as he makes his request.
The energy from before is all but gone as he changes everything about his stance. The energy now given off by him is one of seriousness.
You timidly look from him to the edge of the bed, before violently shaking your head. While you can appreciate the fact that he bothered to ask, you genuinely don’t want him drawing any closer to you than he already has. At least not right now. Not when you’re so completely and utterly confused.
He offers a curt nod in response, before crouching down upon the floor. He lets his arms rest against his knees as he stares at you.
“Hm... Well. Forgive me, I’m not quite sure where to begin. I thought that Moon might have already filled you in on everything.” He utters, tilting his head in a rather curious manner as he speaks. You tense slightly as he draws reference to the other thing.
The thing that stole you.
The Moonman.
The Moonman who you now realize was probably another of whatever this man happened to be.
He begins to sway ever so slightly in place as he stares at you.
“Well, friend. You have gotten us into quite a bit of trouble.” He flatly states, his tone going a bit sour as the words pass his lips.
“You’ve stolen some very important blackberries from my friend and I. Very important blackberries indeed. And I’m afraid it's been decided that punishment is in order.” He adds, finally bringing some manner of specification to light. Specifications that you have been stolen from your home and brought to this place to be punished over blackberries.
Blackberries, of all things.
Blackberries that you’ve apparently stolen from these creatures, though you fail to grasp why it is that they seem to be upset over it.
The harvesting season has only just started. There will be more blackberries to pick in a few more days. You’ve taken nothing that can’t be readily replaced with time.
Still, you manage to find the nerve in you to speak.
“P-punishment?...” You timidly utter in response. The male offers a slow nod of his head.
“I’m afraid so. You see, no one is allowed to take any of the blackberries here until Moon and I have taken what we need of them. For some reason, you’ve ignored that fact. You’ve ignored the signs. Now my friend and I have found ourselves in some very serious trouble. Seeing as you can’t give the berries back to us, it's been decided that you need to repay us in other ways.” The Sunman explains, giving you a rather roundabout explanation behind your having been brought here. You furrow your brows in response, rightly confused.
This has to be a dream, right? Strange men with pointed ears and teeth don’t just come storming into people’s homes over fruit.
“Other means?...” You quietly murmur in response, unsure of what to make of this peculiar situation. The man offers another nod, this time leaning forward about as he does so.
“Mhmm! Because you’ve stolen something so important, it has to be a very particular punishment indeed! So Moon and I have decided on the perfect thing! You’ll stay here and help us maintain the forest. You’ll stay one year, per every berry you’ve stolen.” He states, sounding rather proud of himself as he does so.
Your heart sinks in response. Both from the absurdity of it all and from the implications of being held hostage for what must have been close to a hundred years, if not longer.
You begin to frantically stumble out of the bed in response, intent on trying to get away from this madman.
He stands up and curiously watches you as you scramble to your feet. But before you can force your way past him, he catches you by the arm.
A whimper of pain escapes you in response. The sheer force of his grip is overwhelming. Inhuman, even. Without saying a word, he leads you back to the bed and has you sit back down.
You obey, if only out of fear.
Once you’re sitting, he lets go of your arm. He moves to stand between you and the door just as your eyes dart in its general direction. Tears well in your eyes as you rub your arm. The place where his hand held you hurts. You aren’t sure if he’s bruised you, but he definitely held you much tighter than needed.
“Now now, no need for that.” The man utters, reaching to gently wipe away your tears as they begin to trail down your cheeks.
“There’s no use for it.” He adds, his voice suddenly having gone cold. His friendly demeanor has all but disappeared completely as he stares down at you.
The rage in his eyes is quite obvious as you lock eyes with him. Subdued and menacing. Every bit as laced with spite as the eyes of the Moonman had been.
You take in a shaky breath as he continues to wipe your cheeks. His touch proves surprisingly gentle, despite the absolute malice given off by his gaze.
“I didn’t mean to hurt or scare you. Genuinely, I didn’t... But you must understand the trouble that you’re in. The trouble that you’ve gotten Moon and I into. Normally, we’d never be this cruel. Never, never!... I’m sure you didn’t mean for this to happen. I’m sure you didn’t mean to hurt us. But you have. And so we have to be mean. I’m sorry.” He states, bringing his hands to gently cup your face as you clench your eyes shut to repress a sob.
For as apologetic as his tone is, and how gently he handles you now, you’re still terrified. Terrified because you’ve been dragged to this unfamiliar place to be punished so sternly over something as simple as going blackberry picking.
He gently hums a little song to you as you burst fully into tears. He remains still and silent outside of this, allowing you to cry until all that remains are the quiet, distressed hiccups of your anguish. At which point he takes his hands away from your face as he stares down at you.
“I think we’ve gotten off on the wrong foot.” He mutters, taking a tense step back as he speaks. He remains in the way of the door as he does so, assuring that you cannot make a second attempt at escape. Not that you would do so with him standing in the room. You’re afraid of how much harder he might hold you the second time around.
“My name is Sun. My partner’s name is Moon. You’ve already met him.” He introduces himself politely, before going quiet. And waiting.
From his gaze alone, you can tell that he’s waiting for you to give him your name in turn.
Not wanting to risk angering him further, you offer your name.
“...” But as soon as your name passes your lips, you’ve forgotten it.
Bewildered and confused, you stare up at him. His beautiful eyes shine gold for a few seconds, before going dark. A deep sense of fear overtakes you once more as you come to realize what’s just happened.
“Your name is Briar, now.” He coldly states, before he turns away from you. You’re left alone in the room but a moment later. The door, tightly shut and no doubt locked to prevent you from trying to escape.
You’re dazed and confused. Having just had your name stolen away from you by a malevolent Fae. Having just been informed that you’re to be held here for god knows how long. Just because you decided to go blackberry picking.
Just because you decided to go blackberry picking.

The Starling is a small animatronic (no bigger than 60cm) designed to help the daycares attendants in the entertainment and care of children.
Unlike Sunrise and Moonman, the starling is a toy the children can carry around like a hightech doll, even if their current weight might cause problems. They are playmates while watching over the children. One fix to be made is the fragility of the Starling, it's height and weight makes it vulnerable to fall damage, however it was designed in a way that if anything goes wrong, not a single shard of plastic or piece of metal could stab the child (or at least it has low chances to happen). If broken it will send a message to the staff of it's localisation so they come and pick it up to be fix, this will happen if they stop transmitting signal as well.
Starlings can't talk (changes may be made in the future). However for now their "toy" nature makes the lack of language preferable as it makes them more cute and juvenile. Starling can make "starry, magic, razzle dazzle" sounds as well as chuckles and laugh.
For now there are only ten of them, it might look much but as they're extra eyes of the day care attendants, they can crawl into the playgrounds with ease to watch over children while playing. Which make me think they will soon become indispensable. That is why we hope to make them go from 10 to 20 by the end of the year, and even extent them to other areas like the gator goft or any other playground for that matter.
Starling has a localisation chip located in it's head. It allows the daycare attendants and staff to know where they are at anytime. They can't leave the daycare, if anyone tries to get them out in opening times, it will set an alarm to prevent stealing. Starling is also programmed to signal any booboos, fight or kidnapping attempt, it can detect any customers complains in general. Starlings can tell apart emotions thanks to it's IA and will comfort any crying child it sees.
The Starlings each have a number from 1 to 10. They can be told apart by the number on their back and their color, so the younger children could tell the difference.
However bored employees gave each a name :
1's Persei
2's Leonis
3's Pollux
4's Ursa
5's Pegasi
6's Lyrae
7's Delphini
8's Aquarii
9's Cephei
10's Andromeda
These aren't official but the Starlings IA learned it as their name just like they did for their color and number.
Respectively the Starlings colors associated to their numbers are : 1 Pink, 2 Blue, 3 Green, 4 Purple, 5 Cyan/Light Blue, 6 Yellow, 7 Orange, 8 Red, 9 Gold/ Golden, 10 Silver/ Glitter. The children tend to use these names instead, easier to memorize.
The Starlings are made out of a strong and heat resistant plastic, over that they have stuffing and clothing to make them softer, the plastic of their face plate is soft plastic as well. Their face is a LED screen that display more than 50 different emotions for a range of noises just as big.
Starling has a heat system that make them warm and more comforting to cuddle. To add realism we programed it so it can walk, crawl play like a toddler. It also has the particularity to sometimes trip and fall that makes it look so much more adorable.
Now now, I think it's probably not the first time someone thinks of it, obviously, but I'd like to add a precise description for Sunny and Moony's little helpers. They are inspired by the bidybabs and other minireena. I plan on making a reference sheet for each ever if they will basically be copy pasted of each other. I'll try to make precise description for them, and if I can I'll make it more or less realistic. Also FUCK THEY'RE SO CUTE HOLY SHIT.

Custody Arrangements
Word Count: 3325
Rating: G
Spoilers: 5.0, Warring Triad
This one kinda... gotta way from me.
So here, have Unukalhai discovering that being part of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn means he has little sisters and Art’imis discussing the custody exchange with my favorite Moonman, Elidibus.
“And if I checked with your tutors would they say you have no lessons?” Unukalhai heard Krille as he came down stairs from the living quarters above the main floor of the Rising Stones. He blinked when he saw Krile staring down a pair of girls next to the bar. The girls were a lavender haired Miqo'te and a brunette Elezan. They seemed to be a few years younger than he was. (He used to be? He apparently was?)
“I swear Krile! You can even ask Grandpa!” The Miqo'te girl waved her hands emphatically.
“Do your mothers know you’re here?” Krile set her fists on her hips. Unukalhai got the feeling that the interrogation was the result of past experiences.
This time the Elezan girl nodded emphatically, “Yes!”
“Did you ask for permission and have eye contact when you received an answer?”
“Yes! Mama Art said she’d catch up with us in a few hours!” The Miqo’te’s tail lashed behind her
Krile smiled and the two girls nearly slumped with relief that the interrogation was over. Unukalhai blinked behind his mask when the girls both surged forward to hug the lalafelan woman who laughed. He approached cautiously as the two girls babbled about lessons, friends, and the teacup tragedies and adventures of eleven-year-old girls. Krile nodded and smiled, teasing occasionally. Unukalhai debated retreating and coming back for breakfast later. Such personal and easy conversation held in the open where anyone could listen in made him both nervous and jealous. He froze when mismatched blue and green eyes snapped up to look at him.
“You’re the new kid!” The Miqo'te girl exclaimed. She bounced around Krile, much to the woman’s amusement, and stopped directly in front of him. “I’m Bel.”
Unukalhai stepped back, Bel hadn’t actually invaded his space, but her intensity made it feel like she had. “I’m the new kid?”
The Elezan came to stand next to her friend. “Yes, and I’m Bianca.”
He looked at Krile for help but she just looked amused. He looked back to the two girls who were watching him expectantly. “I-I’m Unukalhai”
The unfettered smiles he got in return for his name were blinding. The girls looked at each other and seemed to have a complex conversation without words ever passing lips. Before he could start to make sense of the expressions and ear twitches they looked back to him.
“You should come with us,” Bel stated her tail swung behind her in smooth quick arcs as she bounced on her toes.
Unukalhai glanced between bright smiles and brighter eyes. Again he glanced to Krile though he wasn’t sure if he was looking for an escape or guidance. The scholar’s smile was softer and she nodded encouragement. He looked back at the girls impatiently waiting for his agreement. “Alright?”
The following burst of activity nearly made him jump out of his robe. Bianca picked up a basket that had been hiding behind her legs and Bel grabbed a blanket with a sturdy weave. They each hooked an arm around one of his elbows and turned to leave the rising stones.
Krile let them get halfway before calling out. “What are the rules?”
“Don’t get kidnapped,” Bel responded in a sing-song voice. Unukalhai looked down at her sharply and then back to Krile’s neutral expression.
“Stay within sight of the guards.” Bianca picked up the next one. That made sense, the grounds close to the settlement were mostly safe within easy distance of the guards.
“Be back two fingers before dusk.” Unukalhai nodded at Bel’s statement, which was sensible as well.
“Don’t pick a fight if we can’t see a way to end it quickly.” Unukalhai blinked, was that actually part of the rules?
“If someone in a strange mask and robes shows up call by link shell and try to get back here.” Unukalhai felt like he would get whiplash looking back and forth. They had a rule for dealing with Ascians?
Krile noded decisively and smiled pleased by the recitation. “Have fun and be safe.”
*~ ~* *~ ~* *~ ~* *~ ~*
Elidibus veiled his presence as he watched his charge and two girls spread a blanket on the ground not far from the gate to Revanet’s Toll. Unukalhai looked dazed watching the two younger set up their meal with as much movement as possible and then proceeded to talk non stop through lunch. They were expressive and excitable he was not surprised that Unukalhai did not know what to do with them. Elidibus’s lips twitched as he remembered a similar little girl… he paused and considered the girls. There was something familiar pulling at his senses like a scent recalling the memory of a favorite meal. The elezan girl he discounted. The Miqo’te however. He glanced between Unukalhai and the lavender haired girl wishing he had Emet-Selch’s gift for seeing the hue of a soul. The thirteenth shard’s Warrior of Light he knew to be one of the scattered shards of his daughter. This child, she felt the same, had the shape of his independent daughter and he could see a hint of her smile in the face that was still round with baby fat… he took a few steps closer carefully veiling his presence so that he could hear and watch more clearly.
“Mama said you had the Echo too?” Bel asked. She was fidgeting with the end of her tail as she lay on her back.
Unukalhai nodded in response and then blinked. The boy focused his attention and aether on the two girls and leaned back. “You do as well, and the blessing of light?”
Elidibus grit his teeth, the mention of Hydaelyn’s blessing brought painful memories of his last conversation with his daughter, the last fight about the sacrifices demanded by Zodiark. He watched as the girls did not respond with the same enthusiasm that they seemed to give to everything else. They looked at each other and being infinitely older and more experienced Elidibus could catch the conversation Unukalhai missed. Arched eyebrows, twitching ears, and quick glances combined with tight shoulders and tense backs to tell a story of whether or not to give their trust. A bit of tension ran out of their posture when they nodded at each other and turned back to the older boy.
“They try not to scare us, but my mamas aren’t happy that we found our crystals. Mama Art didn’t find her first one until she was twenty-seven.” Bel said. She spoke softly enough that the Emissary had to strain to hear her. “They started telling us more about a lot of things. when I asked why Mama Meli said it was so we could make more informed choices than they could.”
Interesting, the steadfast champions of the Mother Crystal were not so enamored of Hydaelyn any more. If her grip was loosening there might be a chance that the shards of his daughter could be broken free of the light’s influence. He would need to delve further into the story of how the Champions had lost and regained the blessing of light. He focused his attention back on the youths. On the picnic blanket, Bianca nodded and stretched out again. “My Mama told them that for now, it was just something to deal with and train. Like the dragon blood a lot of Isgardian’s have. Getting hung up on it just makes it harder for everyone.”
Unukalhai was plainly unused to schooling his expression and his face showed all of his reactions from surprise to curiosity to bewilderment. The young teen reached forward to grab one of the sweets so he could avoid speaking. The girls didn’t seem to mind though. Bel stretched out as well using Bianca’s stomach as a pillow. Bianca pointed out the beginnings of an iridescent purple shimmer excitedly.
His senses twitched and he turned to see Art’imis Chysgoda nod amiably to the guards as she walked out of the gates. Helpfully, one of the guards pointed to where the girls had set up their picnic. She walked to the blanket with sure strides. She wasn’t in her armor but she was still armed with a broad sword on one hip and a long hunting dagger on the other. She reached the blanket and smiled down at the three. “Time to clean up and head back to the Rising Stones.”
“But Mom! There’s a Gloaming starting!” Bel waved excitedly at the sky as she sat up.
“Yes, and the last time I let the pair of you stay out to watch you were both aether sick for two days,” the paladin folded her arms over her chest and looked pointedly at the basket. Unukalhai took the hint and started piling the remains of their meal into the basket. Bel set her jaw stubbornly. “But-”
“But nothing.” Art’imis leaned down to glare at the two girls. “And if you leave Unukalhai to do all the work neither of you will be going to Bent Branch next week.”
Bel and Bianca were suddenly very intent on cleaning up their picnic. The teen saved his mask before Bianca could toss it into the basket with everything else. He stood and stepped back from the blanket before it could be pulled out from underneath him. He stepped over to stand by Art’imis as she watched the girls get in each other’s way as they tried to fold the blanket.
“I find it’s best to just relax and let them burn through their excess energy.” She draped an arm around Unukalhai’s shoulders and gave him a brief hug. “They’ve been chomping at the bit to come and see you since they found out there was someone roughly their age with the echo. We didn’t give them your whole story, that’s yours to tell, but talk to Bel sometime. You'll find a sympathetic ear.”
Elidibus watched as his charge stared at the warrior of light for a long moment before he put his mask back on and nodded. The Emissary drew in a breath and released it, delaying this conversation would not be beneficial. With an absent wave of his hand he released the veil he was holding around himself. Art’imis and Unukalhai both snapped their heads in his direction immediately, the two girls looked around with uncertainty until they found him. They quickly retreated to Art’imis and looking up at the AuRa woman for direction and comfort. Art’imis dropped her arm from around Unukalhai’s shoulders so that she could rest her hand on her hip near to her hunting knife. “Unukalhai, take the girls back to the Rising Stones and let Krile know who I’m speaking with. If I’m not back in half a bell tell her to come and check on me.”
The teenage boy glanced between the Ascian and the Paladin conflict plain in his shoulders and neck. Eliidibus gave him a brief nod and tilted his head in the direction of the AuRa woman. Unukalhai let out a relieved breath and stepped back. Art’imis shot a look at both the girls who were quick to each take a hand and pull the older boy with them. The Raen woman half turned so she could keep an eye on the Ascian while she watched the three youths walk back to the gate. Once they were safely within the walls Art’imis turned back and walked past Elidibus to a place beyond the sight and hearing of the guards.
Elidibus followed and watched the warrior of light’s posture and manner. She did not bother much with hiding that she had to consciously keep her hands away from the hilts of the blades on her hips. He held his tongue as she stopped and turned to him. Art’imis Chysgoda was easy to read. She did not trust him. She did not want to be here having this conversation. She could swallow that for the sake of a youth with nowhere else to turn. She would have no qualms about doing her best to cut him down if she determined he was a threat to those in her care. Watching her, the Emissary reminded himself that knowing what a lioness was thinking did not make her leap any less dangerous. He let the silence stretch for another few moments before deciding to extend the offer of truce. “Unukalhai looks well.”
Art’imis blew out a breath, “He started eating properly after the nonsense with the warring triad was over.”
They stared at each other again trying to stretch their shard vocabulary beyond barbs about esoteric knowledge and manners.
“Unukalhai speaks fondly of you, so I am inclined to believe that you were not an abusive caretaker.” Art’imis rubbed a thumb along the scales on the bridge of her nose.
“Even we have limits Warrior.” Elidibus’s words came clipped and sharp.
“You may have limits Emissary. I would not extend that assumption to your brothers and sisters.” The paladin returned evenly. “Given how utterly horrible he is about hiding his own machinations I’m also willing to believe that you are not trying to drop a fox into the hen house. So Emissary, why give him over to our custody? You plainly care for the boy, so why trust him to the enemies who threaten your precious balance?”
Behind his mask he forced himself to be calm. How to explain that he had no other options but this fragment of a woman who had once stood as the voice and shepherd of Amaurot’s citizens. How to explain that though he feared she and hers would twist the boy’s thoughts away from rational logic, he knew they would fold the boy into their family and ensure that he had the support and love needed to thrive. Could he explain that though they labored for the greater good there was the blood of too many children on his hands to be trusted with another. Ignorant as the Paladin was of her own history he could not say that he knew the soul of his shattered daughter and to see the fragment next to the greater part of her soul reaffirmed this path he and the rest of the convocation doggedly walked. That, despite Hydaelyn’s meddling, he may one day see his child whole and able to grow into what had been denied her. That this one thing he would secret away from his god’s hunger.
The warrior of light waited for his answer, not patient but willing to hold her tongue until he answered. He watched her carefully, “If Hydaelyn asked it of you, would you sacrifice those children to her?”
Art’imis bristled with indignant rage and hissed her answer. “I would do no such thing! She’s no right to demand such a price.”
Elidibus cocked his head to the side to consider the small woman. “I am not in a position to rear a child, and who else is there that could even comprehend what the boy has been through. It is you and yours or nothing.”
Art’imis drummed the fingers of her left hand on her hip. She took a breath and let the Why drop. “Is there anything I need to know about his physical condition.”
“The body in which I placed his soul was injured when I found it and the original occupant had returned to the lifestream before the flesh gave out. I repaired the damage to the neck and head but there may be unforeseen complications.” They both relaxed marginally having turned the conversation to practicalities. He watched as mismatched gold and silver eyes stared past him for a moment seeming to be examining an internal checklist
“Do you know if he is prone to infections, or if there are things that will give him a rash or make him sick?”
“Not that I am aware of,” Elidibus paused in thought. “Concentrations of water aether are wont to take over his attention and senses.”
“How old is he?”
“Approximately fourteen.”
“Have you spoken to him about sex?”
The blunt question nearly made the Emissary reel, only eons of experience kept what was visible of his expression placid. “It has hardly been relevant.”
“Hardly relevant to a fourteen-year-old boy?” Art’imis arched an eyebrow.
Elidibus chose to ignore the amusement sparking in the paladin’s eyes. “I trust you will see to his continued education?”
“Krile and Y’Stola have his studies well in hand. I’ll take care of any martial training he may desire to pursue beyond basic self-defense.”
Again they lapsed into silence watching each other with the weary bewilderment that comes with trying to remember all the questions that would plague them later. Art’imis broke eye contact first to look across the lake to the wreck of the Argreius and the husk of Midgardsormer’s body. She closed her eyes. “I can not guarantee you he will be completely safe. I wish it were otherwise and I could ensure harm would never come to any of them but…”
“If you tried I would take all three of them from you for sheer incompetence.” He stated impatiently.
The response startled a brief laugh out of Art’imis. She looked back and her expression shifted into something more guarded. “Will you want to see him again?”
“I...” for the first time in many years he could not find words. Yes, he wanted to see the boy again, to see the shattered bits of his daughter between the two bodies for that was as close as he would come to seeing her whole for many years yet. “Would you allow it?”
“There’s not much I could do to prevent you from seeing him. Would you respect it if I said no?” the AuRa folded her arms over her chest as she pressed her lips into a thin line.
They stood on opposite sides of a war long gone cold and bitter, this uneasy truce only existed for the sake of youths too young to be asked to fight. He knew that if she allowed him any access to visit Unukalhai she would not risk having her foster daughter near an enemy. But then again it would be better to know just the single shard than be denied altogether. “I would not interfere with you.”
Art’imis snorted, “A pretty way to sidestep the question. Then know that I do not trust you. I do not trust your fellows. You have entrusted Unukalhai to me and I will take him in as my own and what is mine I keep. There will be no take-backs here.”
“And if he chooses to come to me?”
“I would try to convince him otherwise, I would mourn for his decision and hope for his return, but I will not try to control him.”
Again the silence spread out between them and this time Elidibus looked away first. “Until he reaches the age of majority in this land I will contact you first if I have need to speak with Unukalhai.”
Art’imis’s eyes narrowed, she had spotted the loophole but also knew she would get no further concessions from Elidibus. She nodded sharply. “The rest we can work out ourselves.”
“Then I will take my leave Warrior of Light.” Elidibus gave the paladin an abbreviated bow and with an effort of will opened a portal.
She spoke again when he turned away. “For what it’s worth, I admire that you were able to make this choice, to put Unukalhai before your cause.”
Elidibus looked over his shoulder at the woman who did not remember being a friend and confidant. “Perhaps one day we will be able to find a balance so that such things are not necessary.” His words were almost too soft for Art’imis to hear. Before she could respond he stepped through the portal and closed it behind him. For several long moments, he stared at the gray dust that covered the moon before looking up to the blue and green star.

Plum Blossom AU
“The sands of time pass by,
Watch the way it falls.
Even immortals will feel deaths embrace,
Once this spell has its cost.”
My first Lmk AU! I’m so excited to share it and I’m kind of invested in it at this point lol.
The plum blossom AU has a few main things that differ from canon. For one, immortals aren’t exactly immortal. They just have very extended life spans. In this AU, in the current day both Macaque and Wukong have about the average mortal’s life left.
Also Macaque has a therapist. she’s a forest.
Like an actual forest.
I’m not kidding.
Explanation below :D
Macaque upon seeing Wukong on the journey to the west, leashed like a dog, he waits until after dark to approach Wukong.
After an attempted conversation turns into an argument, the six eared Macaque shadow warps(?) away. Unable to think clearly of a location to end up at, he settles with “anywhere but here.”
Opening his eyes, thick woods cloud his view of the sky. Sitting up he digs his fingers into the ground. Anger beginning to course through him. He would make Wukong pay, he would make the monk and all his friends pa——— what the hell just moved?
Whirling behind him, Macaque saw the tree he had been leaning on had grown a fanged face.
—
So yeah, Macaque ends up in the same forest Mk does in the “impossible delivery” episode after seeing Wukong with Tripitaka on the journey.
The only difference with the forest itself is that its packed full of magic, and unlike when MK focused his way out of the illusion, deeper parts of the forest actually look like what Mk saw. Dark, foggy, etc. If you’ve ever watched ATLA or LOK you’ll remember episodes about a swamp that shows you visions in order for you to work through your hurt.
It’s like that.
It’s considered holy to a nearby village that would send its monks in for a single night after years of training as a final test, to truly purify themselves from hatred.
Macaque obviously doesn’t know that when he stumbles upon this random forest. So after a really weird night and after Macaque unwillingly processing his emotions in a healthy way for the first time in his goddamn life, he leaves.
…but he keeps getting called back. It almost feels like a kind of magic he can’t identify.
So after awhile he just starts really getting to know the forest. (Think Casita and Mirabel’s interactions from Encanto)
Until one day when walking through the forest, he stumbles upon a cottage.
What was concerning was the fact that it hadn’t been there yesterday.
(It’s ancient magic don’t question it.)
Basically the forests had gifted him with something he hadn’t had since Wukong had gotten stuck under a mountain; a home.
So Macaque accepts it.
—
I’ll talk more about how it unfolds in the current day later but for right now, here’s how Mk and Mac met.
Just because you’re an emo hermit doesn’t mean you don’t crave noodles sometimes and fuck yes they deliver.
Unfortunately for the noodle delivery boy, Mei had told him scary stories about a cryptid that lived in the woods where he was supposed to deliver noodles to. They called him... “The moonman”
Mk had burst out laughing at the time, It was an extremely dumb name after all. But the details surrounding the “moonman” made his smile fade.
Legends say that if you get lost a cloaked figure holding a purple lantern (moonman) will guide you to the exit....or if he smells the faintest bit of blood, he’ll drag you to the “plum blossom house”
you’ll know it if you see a plum tree with leaves, flowers, and fruits even in the dead of winter. He’ll take you inside and in exchange for your soul, he’ll heal you and then teach you how to use magic. The only catch? Your soul is bound to the house when you die, giving him another solider in his army of lost souls. Or at least, that’s how the stories go.
You can imagine Mk’s horror when he finally walks up to the destination (having had to abandon the cart in order to walk the rest of the way) when he looks up and sees a plum tree exactly how the stories described...with a house nearby.
With shaking hands he eventually knocked on the cottages door.
When Macaque opens the door he immediately senses Wukong’s Magic just…..different.
The mortal delivery boy has the same kind and amount of magic as Wukong. This has to be his successor.
There was a pause, the feel of golden magic for the first time in centuries cuts anything Macaque tried to say short. That, and the fact that the kid was just staring at him with his jaw dropped. Does he know who Macaque was? Did Wukong tell stories of him running away after the fight? or stories of the laughter they shared in their youth? Or maybe—
“Are you the Moonman?” The kid asks, interrupting his thought.
“…am I the what?”
And thus the story begins
(I’ll write more about how it differs from canon soon, I just don’t want to overwhelm y’all with a long ass post as your first impression haha)
Also! You made it to the end! Have some bonus drawings I did!

tw depression mention, abusive parent mention sun / moon reacting to a teen(13-15) walking in w bruises to pick up their younger siblings(4-6) with bruises as well, bc their parent is drunk and wont come get the sibling themselves. bruises r from parent
I could describe this in like two sentences bro. Sun is worried as hell, calling the police. Moon is committing murder. BUT I'll detail it a bit more for ya
Sun
He is worried, to say the least. I mean, like, absolutely terrified and shaken up by pity type of worried.
He first makes sure to try and tend to the children's bruises at the best of his abilities.
Tries to talk to the teen and collect evidence of the abuse, while making sure they are alright (as much as one can be while being abused)
Sun is not very good with teens, to be honest, but he tries his best nonetheless.
He asks the teen if they want to do anything in the daycare while the authorities get there, but unfortunately i don't think the child will be in that mood.
After the cops get there and they question both of them, the parent ends up getting arrested, and they have to wait quite a bit for some emergency foster parents to get there, which will definitely be after closing time for the daycare.
So naturally Sun sets up a little area with pillows and blankets the two kids can wait in while the new parents get there, and he goes to his own little place since the lights will shut off soon and he doesn't want to endanger either of them.
That is pretty much all he can do before the lights go out.
Moon
Quite surprised to find two children quietly talking in the daycare after bedtime, to say the least.
So naturally he goes to investigate right?
The teen notices him in a matter of seconds, and instantly starts explaining the situation in fear of getting hurt.
Moon understood.
He asked a bunch of questions just like Sun did.
He let the kids be, knowing they won't be there all night, plus let's be honest even the terrifying moonman has emotions and he felt so so bad for them omg
He actually read the toddler a bedtime story, and after the smaller sibling fell asleep he just talked to the teen.
Nothing specific, he knew this was a hard topic to talk about, literally any random thing that came to mind he said it hoping it would start a conversation.
Tbh moon is better with teens than with toddlers if he is good with anyone.
This is a secret but this is one of the times he left the pizzaplex and legitimately threatened the parent to never even lay a finger on the children or he might do something that'll get him decommissioned.
They both do a great job in such a situation love both of them sm

The Lowdown: “For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work,” Taylor Swift wrote in a 2019 social media post after her longtime label, Big Machine, sold her master recordings without her consent. Swift had been unable to gain control of her first six albums through contract negotiations, and then Scooter Braun, who’d demonstrated public enmity with the singer-songwriter, was collecting the checks. (Braun’s company has since sold the masters to Shamrock Holdings for $300 million.) What’s one of the world’s brightest superstars and the preeminent pop poet of a generation to do?
The answer: Do it all again.
Swift has begun to re-record her back catalog, and the first release is Fearless (Taylor’s Version) from 2008. (For the Swiftian numerologists, with the new version of Fearless released on 4/9, Swift now owns 4 out of her 9 albums.) This pop-country juggernaut, her second album, was the most awarded in the history of country music, sweeping up honors from Album of the Year at the Grammys to Best Female Video at the MTV Music Awards. (Her VMA acceptance speech was notoriously interrupted by Kanye West, marking one small step for that Moonman, one giant leap for petty celebrity scandals.) Taylor’s Version includes new recordings of all 19 original tracks from the “Platinum Edition,” plus six never-before-released songs “from the vault.”
It also creates a soundalike alternative for both discerning fans and industries (from advertising to radio) to decide which album they play and license – the one owned by an investment firm or the one owned by the artist herself. In that way, Swift is asking (if not pressuring) us to choose. She’s also playing chess. For the critical listener, the questions are: How closely can Swift recreate beloved songs recorded 13 years ago (13 = big number in Swiftian lore)? How might she reimagine or even improve these songs? And how does one analyze an album when the album is also a chess move?
The Good: Damn, this album holds up – not only to the hype of its initial release, but despite that, beyond that. At the time of the initial release, the public was hung up on the figure Swift struck as a precocious ingenue in boots and ballgown, swinging an acoustic guitar with a knowing twinkle in her omg! expression. And Fearless still evokes that moment, but it emerges as a classic account of youthful romance, drama, and fantasy. “Love Story” remains a touchstone of Swift’s lyrical quirks and worldview but continues to stand out as a universally appealing pop song. (Put it on the next Voyager golden record, beam it into space.)
Swift has never been shy about mining her diaries and blowing up the most fleeting of feelings into emotional epics, but one can imagine the trepidation of a 31-year-old singing songs which are not only written by a teenager but so deeply ensconced in teenagehood. What cringe awaited us! These re-recordings, however, mostly escape cringe by playing it straight and allowing us, as the best songs do, to fill in the spaces. For example, much of the charm of bittersweet ballad “Fifteen” was the precocity of its delivery by an 18-year-old who perceived herself to be already so distant from adolescent innocence, but who still clearly felt its hurt so sharply. Now sung by “Pretty Grown Up” Taylor, the song conveys a different pathos: the knowledge not only of her own coming of age, but a protectiveness over the millions – multiple micro-generations – of fans she has witnessed come of age alongside and behind her.
But this is knowledge the listener brings to the listening, not a change that’s made explicit in the re-recordings. The arrangements remain faithful to the original, with plenty of heart-plucking banjo and cinematic fiddle, which belies both Swift’s confidence in the catalog and her honoring of fans’ commitment to these songs.
The most noticeable difference is Swift’s vocal ability, which has been deeply strengthened and expanded as an instrument, both by age and her force of will. Her command as a singer means that the high-flying hiccups and breaks and urgency of the original recording are gone. When she recreates these youthful flourishes – the twangy pronunciation of “Fee-uhr-less,” the laugh in “Hey Stephen” – the longtime listener recognizes them as recreations. But Swift’s fuller, smoother vocals on rage-romp “Tell Me Why” (hold that grudge, girl!) and “The Way I Loved You” (stay high on that drama, Tay!) inject these B-sides with new life.
The Bad: There is so much content in the Swift universe, and apparently in her bottomless Vault, that it can be (to quote “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”), exhausting. We could do without any of the “dance” remixes of songs like “Love Story”, for example. The six “From the Vault” tracks are solid, but it’s obvious why they didn’t make the final album cuts. The vibey electronic atmospherics of “Don’t You” and “Bye Bye Baby” sound like they come from a later era than Fearless. (The Vault exception might be upbeat breakup song “Mr. Perfectly Fine”, which resurrects Swift’s delightfully petty side. By the way, did she have to pay RuPaul for using the line “Sashay away”?)
While the fealty to the original recordings is understandable and even admirable, I wonder if there are missed opportunities for further reimagining of this collection. For example, could Swift re-order her at-times confounding tracklists for future releases or choose different singles to showcase previously overlooked songs?
The Verdict: There’s a chance that, based on the success of this release, Swift reaches a deal with the current holder of her masters and won’t re-record her entire back catalog. This is probably just the latest interesting thing she’s done in music and business, but it’s worth our consideration since it’s been undertaken with such care and could pave the way for other artists.
Swift has always been a masterful writer of short fictions, able to swell a small feeling or moment to contain an era, a relationship, a universe (a skill she continued to develop on folklore and evermore by drawing even more overtly from literature and film). Yet, this project of re-recording her catalog requires her to become a memoirist: re-examining her former selves and reinhabiting her former voice. It’s an opportunity to demonstrate the time-tested strength of the original music, but there was also an opportunity to re-evaluate previous positions and experiences, to reveal what they meant in the longer run. But Swift seems to resist passing judgment on her younger self. Instead, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) states boldly, simply and perhaps, generously, that this is a story still worth telling – and a fight worth fighting.
Essential Tracks: “Love Story”, “You Belong with Me”, and “Tell Me Why”

Hello lovely people! And welcome to my first writting challenge. The aim of this challenge is to shine a light on mental health, medical conditions, and the things that can have impacts on us. This started out initially being a PCOS Awareness challenge but through conversations on the TCC discord, it’s become a challenge surrounding mental health in general.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The goal of this challenge is to lift each other up, and show that it’s okay not to be okay. Spread some love and light during a challenging time in the world to those who struggle with chronic illness, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief, PCOS, acceptance from their families and communities for being LGBT+, and anyone struggling with insecurity.
This challenge will run through September 15th, 2020. It will run through part of Mental Health Awareness Month, through Pride Month, and through part of PCOS Awareness Month. I probably have too many prompts, but I wanted to ensure that there was a wide array to choose from.
The Rules:
1. Utilize resources available online if you’re dealing with subject matter you’re not that familiar with. I’m not going to go all “cite sources” on y’all, but please do make sure to do your research. Writing about some of these issues can be hard if you don’t have first hand knowledge of how it can affect you. The goal of this challenge is to write about topics that we tend to shy away from, that many of us struggle with, from mental health struggles to chronic illnesses to low-self esteem. A gentle reminder that if you think writing about a subject will be triggering for you, please look after yourself first.
2. Use #JBBNNMHAMChallenge to tag your fic
3. Dark!Fic- I was up in the air on allowing dark!fic in the challenge. Due to the subject matter involved in this challenge, please don’t submit dark!fic. I enjoy dark fics, but this challenge isn’t the place for them.
4. Smut- Smut is welcome! Make sure you tag it appropriately.
5. No inc*st, dubcon/noncon, underage, etc
6. Ships- I prefer reader inserts, but show me what ya got
7. Selecting Prompts: Just let me know which one you want to do! 2 people per prompt! The song prompts have a line from them under it. You DO NOT need to use the line in your submission! It’s mostly to help you decide if you’re interested in a song before you take a listen to it. The song prompts are broken down into ‘support’, ‘general’, and ‘grief’ but feel free to use them as you see fit. I categorized them mostly for organization
8. Trigger Warnings: Use warnings as needed. Fics dealing with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, or other mental health issues should be tagged appropriately to ensure that readers that may be triggered by the subject matter can avoid the fic. Trigger warnings are non-negotiable
The prompts are under the cut!
Prompts:
Dialogue Prompts:
“You never have to ask, you know that right? Say the word, and I’ll do it.” ( @whistlingwillows )

“I promise you. One day, it will get easier. Those feelings might never fully go away, but it will get easier.” ( @imnotasuperhero )
“You ever feel like you can’t breathe? Like the whole world is collapsing in on itself and no one notices? No one cares? Like you can’t escape it?” ( @nekoannie-chan )
“It’d probably be easier if you left”

“I said I don’t want to talk about it. What part of that is hard for you to understand?” ( @sweetwritesx )
“I wish I could believe you when you said that.” ( @evansweaters )
“How do you even begin to move on?” ( @blackwidowballet )
“You sure about that, moonman?”
“I don’t know. All I do know is I don’t belong here” (@buckybarnesplumwhore)

Okay so I misrepresented how I feel, because Lil Nas X’s whole *gestures vaguely* means way too much to me as a complete rando, y’know?
I’m not a stan in that I listen to all his music or feel super diehard about him, but I am a little emotional about him winning Video of the Year.
MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) was a stunning video. He ended up getting so much publicity on all sorts of fronts for it, and he’s now made a name for himself for joking on the haters… but I can’t even fathom how it must feel to be validated like this. I don’t pretend to know what it feels like to have a huge vendetta waged against me, but he’s managed to climb out of that with a moonman saying “This WAS good, you guys are just mean”
I’m proud of him. And relieved. Because frankly, the waves of constant hate speech coming at him would have been even crueler if he’d lost. I know he can handle things, he’s a strong guy. I just hate that he has to be so thick-skinned for his survival.
The song is good. The video is amazing. I hope he lives his truth, now and forever.
Lil Nas X is live tweeting the VMAs of which he is taking part and I’m dying
He won Best Direction and tweeted
and then he won Video of the Year (‼️ hell yeah)
I’m just saying…. It’s funny as shit

MWSV NW Ydel Poetry Slam Fest 2017
Wavian-Villagers,
Another exciting time is begging for all of you to participate. The Ville is tryin’ out some freshy-fresh for this evening’s event. Finally, after years of pleading to host their ridiculously-popular festival, The NW Ydel Poetry Slam Fest will be held at The Village Standard. This is going to be my first time attending a live Poetry Slam, although I have the collected works of Shel Silverstein on my desk right now, so I think I know how the night’s going to go. He’s easily my favorite slam poet. Well, him -- or Maya Vindaloo. It’s a toss up.
Some local talent will be taking the stage at 7:00, and we’ll be broadcasting the entire event. It’s actually just one guy, but I hope you all tune in and see who is crowned Top Ydel! The competition is cutthroat in this industry, and we are so honored to have this festival taking over Mild Ville for the duration of the evening. Some have even said that the one performer could be someone native to MWSV itself, using a whole new alias -- Captain Prawn? Chief Squids? I forget the names that I heard milling about earlier, but I can assure you, I forgot for a very good reason. Without further ado... here comes the only event.
*Jazz Jerry takes stage, grabs microphone, whispers*
“Not Jerry. Name Crawdad. Name Capacity. Capacity Crawdad.
‘Maybe He Moons Clown As a Midnight Light.’
Lunar. Rednose. Rainbow. Serenade. Pocket-flower. Moonglow. Clownbeam. Smiles. Me. Smiling. Smiles. Laughing. Spinning. Drunken delight. Moonman. Gentle hands. Stripey pants. Tenderness. Knowing eyes. Longing gazes. Midnight light. Honking shadows. Entwined. Boundless lovers. Star-eyes. Big top. Star sky. Moon love. Lid lift. Moon gone. Sunrise. Frantic eyes. Wigless mourning. Cotton candy. Wafting regrets. Heavy heart. Tear drop. Sad shoes. Clown blues. Frowny face. Clownless space. Incapacitated Crawsad. Thank you.”
Well, I have heard some great slam poetry, but I did not expect to have my emotions toyed with tonight. What a delight that was. Capacity Crawdad really brought the heat tonight, and I’m so thrilled to crown him Top Ydel of the entire event! He can redeem his crown for 32% off a cup of ice from Jazz Jerry’s Raspberries whenever he finds it most convenient. Thanks again to Jazz Jerry for sponsoring, performing, and winning the prize of tonight’s event. We literally couldn’t have done it without you.

11/26/18 - Chat with Nocta and Moonman
((Moonman says that it's time to clear some things up))
Dense 1:44 PM: Yeet the fuck
nocta 1:44 PM: what are you doing?
Jos 1:45 PM: okay
Jos 1:45 PM: lets me search the meaning of that term first
Dense 1:45 PM: Oh
Jos 1:46 PM: oh, i see, yup, i'm against no one
((Moonman claims that no one in this chat is enemies with one another))
nocta 1:46 PM: Idiot
((Moonman asks if Nocta can just let it go))
nocta 1:46 PM: No.
Jos 1:47 PM: sorry my lenguage is not english i think i fucked up a little up there, i am agaisnt no one, all friendly and nice
((Moonman says that Nocta was calling him an idiot, not Jos))
Jos 1:47 PM: i see
Jos 1:47 PM: Nocta, I think we need to clarify stuff, lets sit down, and lets talk cool
nocta 1:48 PM: Ha.
nocta 1:48 PM: I will see you all around.
Jos 1:49 PM: Are you sure this is the correct route?
Jos 1:49 PM: I hope so
Jos 1:49 PM: He is like
Jos 1:49 PM: "you are the bad guys oooo so lets talk about it nocta and he is like no0o0o0"
((Moonman claims that is not how the situation actually is))
((Moonman believes his life might actually be in danger at this point))
moonman31 1:51 PM: but
moonman31 1:51 PM: I can reveal some things that I could not before
moonman31 1:51 PM: The more you discover
moonman31 1:51 PM: The more I can reveal
moonman31 1:51 PM: It seems.
Jos 1:52 PM: So, you know about this "he is trapped?"
Jos 1:52 PM: Could mean tyler, could mean Samuel who hasnt posted a single time
((Moonman claims he knows nothing about that phrase))
Jos 1:52 PM: aw
Jos 1:52 PM: so, what is the new stuff you can reveal?
((Moonman says he needs to know who all is in the chat))
Jos 1:52 PM: ok
Jos 1:52 PM: so, we have Wolfcat, me, Circle Hunter, Dense, Glad Mans, Bianca, and Raven
Jos 1:52 PM: no one else
Jos 1:52 PM: x
Jos 1:52 PM: lets see if others are here
Jos 1:52 PM: post x
Wolfcat 1:55 PM: I think it's just you, me, jos, and raven
((Moonman says he believes there is a spy among our ranks))
Jos 1:57 PM: I trust you, I have a theory but I don't want to reveal just to mantain stuff secure
Jos 1:57 PM: anyway, i will find the spy soon or later
Jos 1:57 PM: and i have the perfect idea
Jos 1:57 PM: I see
((Moonman says "Well..."))
Jos 1:57 PM: Nothing else? well, We will be careful with what we say... thank you
Dense 2:03 PM: Oh nocta left
((Moonman says he was waiting for a response from us))
Jos 2:04 PM: oh, sorry, non english native so idk when something follows a reply lol
Wolfcat 2:04 PM: Dense is also here
((Moonman says "Obviously"))
Jos 2:04 PM: so, why are you at line?
((Moonman says we are right about some things and wrong about others))
Jos 2:04 PM: please, tell us the wrong part so we can see the both sides of the coin
((Moonman says we are right about "Greth"))
Jos 2:04 PM: Well, he is probably Nocta? The Johnisdead page points to to it, and have bunch of evidence, still, it could be wrong info.
Jos 2:04 PM: Nocta
((Moonman says that Greth is not Nocta, at least not as far as he knows))
((Moonman confirms that he is Greth, but he doesn't know us and Greth Vlogs is not familiar to him))
((Moonman says that he is not the person on the front page of Johnisdead, despite being Greth))
Jos 2:04 PM: Sorry, I have no words, im confused... Then, the guy from the front page must be another guy who looks really the same
Wolfcat 2:11 PM: It sounds to me like some stupid magic shit is going on
Wolfcat 2:11 PM: More time bullshit
Jos 2:11 PM: except if you cant remember
Jos 2:11 PM: because of the sp00ky stuff
Jos 2:11 PM: wait
Jos 2:11 PM: then
Wolfcat 2:13 PM: back when YSHDT.net was up, a lot of strange things were happening with various timelines converging into one another
Wolfcat 2:13 PM: maybe this is still happening somehow
Wolfcat 2:13 PM: as crazy as that sounds
Jos 2:15 PM: what if there are 3 , you, the greth from the vlogs, and the sp00ky one
Jos 2:15 PM: for some reason
Jos 2:15 PM: what if Patrem has been converted into a vessel for Kevin who is using the vlogs greth as vessel?
Jos 2:15 PM: idk,
moonman31 2:16 PM: Now you're losing me
Wolfcat 2:17 PM: I mean, that'd be a double vessel.
((Moonman says he doesn't know anything about that))
Wolfcat 2:17 PM: It seems like either way, Nocta is Kevin
Wolfcat 2:17 PM: That much we can be certain of
Wolfcat 2:17 PM: At least to some extent
((Moonman asks about Patrem))
Jos 2:17 PM: there is this entity called patrem, it needs a vessel to survive, a physical, weak body to assimilate,
Jos 2:17 PM: in the greth videos and the jid page, everything reffering this entity, is purple
Jos 2:17 PM: yet
Jos 2:17 PM: in the jid page, nocta has been referring as this purple sp00ky greth
Jos 2:17 PM: but nocta is kevin
((Moonman says he's not sure about that))
Wolfcat 2:19 PM: Maybe the "Wayward cretin" is just fucking with us some more
Wolfcat 2:19 PM: Tenebris, I mean
Jos 2:19 PM: What im saying "Kelbris" needs a body, maybe kevin did the same when patrem was weak, and took over patrem and then used patrem to vessel this sp00ky greth, so, kevin would be nocta at the same time of Greth vlogs
((Moonman says there are some very dark things happening on Astral Observatory))
((Moonman says he's frustrated because he believes it might be too late to stop it))
Jos 2:19 PM: i can use a proxy and access the truth part, if you are willing to help me...
Wolfcat 2:20 PM: Do you know if there's any possible way for us to access The Truth?
Wolfcat 2:20 PM: or is that still just completely out of reach
((Moonman says that the password has been changed and that he no longer knows it))
Jos 2:21 PM: shit, i should have asked earlier, but i didnt wanted look like impolite
CircleHunter 2:21 PM: I am here now
((Moonman says the old password was "pqbxhtlopa"))
Wolfcat 2:21 PM: oh fuck
Wolfcat 2:21 PM: shit
CircleHunter 2:21 PM: Whoa
Wolfcat 2:21 PM: the shit that was on jid.com
Jos 2:22 PM: FUCK
CircleHunter 2:22 PM: That means
CircleHunter 2:22 PM:Try the current title
Jos 2:22 PM: Now is when i want a tardis you know
Jos 2:22 PM: The timer wont reset tought
((Moonman asks what timer Jos is referring to))
Jos 2:22 PM: it was an old page in jid
Jos 2:22 PM: just a referrence tho
((Moonman says that it reminded him of something))
Jos 2:22 PM: what about?
Jos 2:22 PM: maybe its important
Jos 2:22 PM: i can provide old images of the page if that helps
Wolfcat 2:26 PM: Maybe "pqbxh" and "tlopa" on JiD was merely a hint towards The Truth, and not something about Nocta
CircleHunter 2:26 PM: Damn we were too late then
CircleHunter 2:26 PM: Has jid changed?
Wolfcat 2:27 PM: Not on my end
((Moonman says a post has been deleted since he lost access to The Truth))
Jos 2:27 PM: i will find that post
Jos 2:27 PM it must be the new password being hidden
Wolfcat 2:28 PM: I think it was the post in The Truth
Wolfcat 2:28 PM: There used to be two posts in there
((Moonman confirms he was talking about the post that was deleted in The Truth))
CircleHunter 2:28 PM: I want to test something
Jos 2:28 PM: aw
Wolfcat 2:28 PM: And the older post was deleted
Jos 2:28 PM: it was the old one right
Wolfcat 2:28 PM: But the newer one remained
CircleHunter 2:28 PM: Just to be absolutely sure here, you were around for jadusable and posted the new wave bossa nova, right?
CircleHunter 2:28 PM: Or was that this other greth?
((Moonman says he did in fact submit the NWBN during YSHDT.net))
CircleHunter 2:28 PM: Ok, hmm
((Moonman says that the timeline seems similar up to a point))
((Moonman begins acting strangely and posts "Kevin, Tyler, Tenebris))
((Moonman then deletes this post))
CircleHunter 2:28 PM: Please tell me someone was paying attention to that
CircleHunter 2:35 PM: Kevin, tyler, tenebris
((Moonman says "save please tyler"))
Raven 2:37 PM: He's deleting everything
Wolfcat 2:37 PM: We'll save Tyler.
((Moonman then says "no save please"))
Jos 2:41 PM: what is going on
moonman31 2:41 PM: tylers
moonman31 2:41 PM: STOP IT
moonman31 2:41 PM: EVERYTHING IS TYLER AND NOTHING IS TYLE
Wolfcat 2:42 PM: Who's doing this to you?
moonman31 2:43 PM: t\
moonman31 2:45 PM: he
moonman31 2:45 PM: is
moonman31 2:45 PM: Today at 14:16
((Users noticed that Moonman’s post from 2:16 now had an alien emote reaction))
((Wolfcat posted an image of the Bow and Arrow))
moonman31 2:47 PM: I feel ok
moonman31 2:47 PM: for now
moonman31 2:48 PM: what did you do?
Wolfcat 2:49 PM: Can you tell us who he is? Do you know? The man with the alien mask?
Jos 2:49 PM: lets say
Jos 2:49 PM: its sp00ky stuff too
moonman31 2:49 PM: The what
Jos 2:49 PM: but we did it to save you
Jos 2:49 PM: wait, you cant remember? few seconds ago
moonman31 2:50 PM: The man with the alien mask?
Wolfcat 2:51 PM: Was he not the one who was just hurting you?
moonman31 2:52 PM: I don't know what does that
Jos 2:54 PM: lets see if this works ?
((Jos posts Epona's Song))
moonman31 2:55 PM: ???
moonman31 2:55 PM: Wait are you
moonman31 2:55 PM: god,im ((this was originally a cipher))
moonman31 2:55 PM: hold on
moonman31 2:55 PM: someone is at the door
Jos 2:55 PM: ok
Wolfcat 2:55 PM: wait no
Jos 2:55 PM: but dont open
Wolfcat 2:55 PM: don't pull this
Jos 2:55 PM: waito
Wolfcat 2:56 PM: dude you KNOW this never ends up well
Jos 2:56 PM: before he opens the door
((Jos posted an image of the Stone Mask))
((Moonman then posted the message "too late"))

NEW YORK (AP) — With most of music industry’s top acts absent, the two-hour MTV Video Music Awards lacked star power and felt flat — and it was up to a pop veteran to bring the house down.
Jennifer Lopez, who earned the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for lifetime achievement, provided the night’s most energetic performance as she gave a lengthy performance of her hit songs. MTV fashion
The most over-the-top looks from the #VMAs https://t.co/qq4KO58JA6
— Mashable (@mashable) August 21, 2018
She started off slow — Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s unamused faces perfectly captured the vibe — but she hit a strong stride when she sang old smashes like “Jenny from the Block,” ”I’m Real” — where Ja Rule joined her onstage — and “All I Have,” which showed the skilled dancer’s vocal range.
But Lopez’s speech was more stirring than her powerful performance: She was emotional as she thanked her children and beau Alex Rodriguez onstage at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

— MTV Asia (@mtvasia) August 21, 2018
She was teary-eyed and looked at her “two little angels,” as she called them, and said, “I stand here stronger and better than ever … so thank you Max and Emme.” She called Rodriguez, who filmed her performance with his phone, “my twin soul.”
“My life is sweeter and better with you in it,” she said.
While Lopez’s speech went for the heart, Cardi B aimed for jokes. The rapper, in her well-known silly demeanor, “opened” the show — not with a performance, but with cute jokes. The new mom was onstage pretending to hold a baby, but she then revealed to the audience that it was actually a Moonman, which she won earlier in the night for song of the summer for her No. 1 hit, “I Like It,” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin.

Cardi B was the top contender of the night with 10 nominations. She gave birth to Kulture Kiari Cephus last month and was up for video of the year with “Finesse,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars. The song’s video, inspired by the 1990s sketch comedy series “In Living Color,” is also nominated for four other honors.
For the top prize, Cardi B and Mars were competing with Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” Drake’s “God’s Plan,” Beyonce and Jay-Z’s “Apes–t,” Camila Cabello’s “Havana” and Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left to Cry.” But only Cardi B and Grande were on hand for the evening’s festivities.
At the end of the show, Madonna was called upon to pay ‘tribute’ to Aretha Franklin with a short speech.

Twitter did not appreciate it.
Seriously I’m so over MADONNA She’s “honoring” Aretha Franklin & making the story all about her…Funny she did the same thing when Michael Jackson died & she opened the VMA’s with a speech & it was about her…I just can’t anymore with her! Aretha or Madonna pic.twitter.com/QXzfeAwJh0

Nicki Minaj won the first televised award — best hip hop — and checked comedian Tiffany Haddish for dissing girl group Fifth Harmony, now on hiatus.
After congratulating ex-Fifth Harmony member Cabello on her five nominations, presenter Haddish said sarcastically, “Hi Fifth Harmony.” When Minaj accepted an award moments later, she looked to Haddish and said, “Don’t be coming for Fifth Harmony because Normani is that (chick).” Normani currently has her first hit apart from the group with the Khalid-assisted “Love Lies.”
Minaj, who has been a trending topic this week after she madly tweeted about why her new album debuted at No. 2 behind Travis Scott, also provided the first bleeped moment of the night when she told the audience to listen to her Apple Music radio show this week to hear “who the (expletive) of the day award is going to.”
There was a political moment when Logic was joined onstage by young immigrants wearing T-shirts that read, “We are all human beings,” to protest the Trump administration’s separation of migrant children from their parents after they illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border. The rapper, best known for the suicide prevention anthem “1-800-273-8255,” wore a T-shirt that read, “(Expletive) the wall.”
Grande won best pop video and thanked her fiance Pete Davidson “for existing.”
As for the top nominees, Beyonce and Jay-Z were behind Cardi B with eight bids for “Apesh–t,” filmed at the Louvre museum in Paris. Gambino’s “This Is America,” which tackles racism and gun violence, earned him seven nominations, while Drake, who gave away $1 million to Miami residents in his “God’s Plan” clip, scored seven nods.

ok ok so i have to ask, the plum blossom au, would someone like lbd or the mayor be able to be purged by the forest, or would it not work because their plan is driven by logic not emotional pain/desire for revenge? is your au following the storyline of having her in it at all?
also the idea of macaque finding out that swk used to be kind of afraid of the moonman legend is so funny
HOLY SHIT HI SHARK
So I had an idea of the mayor trying to follow MK into the forest and sort of getting dunked on but walking away with the information that the forest is magical and could be of great use to their plans.
And you’re perfectly right! LBD and the mayor are immune to the forests efforts due to their motive being logic and all around being cold and calculating. The forest is actually vulnerable to their magic. (Still working out how to connect the woods to LBD though.)
LBD might eventually want to start using the forest either for a battery or to influence with her own magic
If she does so, instead of healing people, the forest takes all the negative emotions that it stored for hundreds of years, and unleash them onto anyone inside the forest, making it so much easier for LBD to possess/influence them.
Also pLEASE MACAQUE FINDING OUT IM DYING
Macaque: I mean honestly. The stories they made up about me read a bit half-assed and don’t feel scary. It looks like little kids are the only ones even remotely affected by them.
Wukong:
Wukong: yeah totally.
Macaque: don’t tell me.
Wukong:
Macaque: yoU WERE SCARED OF THE “MOONMAN”
Wukong: STFU
Macaque: MK I GOT SOMETHING TO TELL YOU YOURE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS SHIT

NEW YORK | Cardi B wins big at MTV VMA, a show that feels flat
NEW YORK — With most of music industry’s top acts absent — from Beyonce to Bruno Mars — the MTV Video Music Awards lacked star power and felt flat, and some of the winners turned heads — for the wrong reasons.
Exhibit A: Camila Cabello beat out Drake, Mars, Cardi B, Ariana Grande and Post Malone for artist of the year.
“I can’t believe this is for me,” Cabello said Monday onstage. Neither can we.
Exhibit B: Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B and DJ Khaled won best collaboration for “Dinero” — a song that has peaked at No. 80 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart — besting the record-setting hit “Meant to Be,” by Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line, and Mars and Cardi B’s anthemic “Finesse” remix.
The show, at Radio City Music Hall in New York, lacked oomph with its performances, too: Grande, backed by several female dancers, was a bore during “God Is a Woman,” but added some excitement when she was joined by her mother, grandmother and cousin onstage at the end of the performance. Travis Scott, whose album is No. 1 for a second week, had strong energy while onstage, but the performance felt like it belonged more to singer James Blake, who is featured on Scott’s album and performed just as long as Scott during the segment.
Scott closed with kind words: “Rest in peace the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin.”
Hopefully that wasn’t MTV’s tribute to one of music’s best singers of all-time, who died last week.
Lopez, who earned the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for lifetime achievement, provided the night’s most energetic performance. She started off slow — Kylie Jenner and Scott’s unamused faces perfectly captured the vibe — but she hit a strong stride when she sang old smashes like “Jenny from the Block,” ”I’m Real” — where Ja Rule joined her onstage — and “All I Have,” which showed the skilled dancer’s vocal range.
But Lopez’s speech was more stirring than her fun performance: She was emotional as she thanked her children and beau Alex Rodriguez onstage at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Cardi B, who gave birth last month, also won best new artist and said people told her she was “gambling your career” when she decided to become a mother.
“I had the baby, I carried the baby and now I’m still winning awards,” she said.
She also seemed to take aim at Nicki Minaj, who while promoting her new album last week said other musicians have hired fans to listen to their music.
Cardi said she’s been blessed with fans “that you can’t buy,” looking into the camera and shouting an expletive.
Cardi B was the top contender of the night with 10 nominations. For the top prize, Cardi B and Mars were competing with Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” Drake’s “God’s Plan,” Beyonce and Jay-Z’s “Apes–t,” Cabello’s “Havana” and Grande’s “No Tears Left to Cry.”
