Before Mermay ends, I wanted to show you these redesigns i did for my mermaid boys! Except this time, I decided to make Sun a Seahorse and Moon a Narwhal. I didn't really like how the original designs turned out, so I'm a lot happier with them now!

Inserting mers straight into subnautica locations feels so uncanny but in the best way possible like THEY'RE THERE WOAH... Yet again the bg is just an edited game screenshot.

Also don't mind the continuity errors like stripes and colour placement I still haven't settled on his final design... And as always live love simplifying. He's definitely inspired by blood kelp locations tho.

That's a big ass fish

Here's some fun facts about him

The blue parts of his body glow

He lives in the midnight zone (aka Bathypelagic zone) which is around 1000-4000 meters deep

He swims up to the surface during the night. At first it was for food and to hide away from predators but that changed after he met Sun.

He learned how to speak human through Sun, though he is not as fluent as sun is

He likes to mess with humans sometimes (playfully)

He's an asshole
