As many of you know, Yule is the Winter Solstice. It is such an exciting time as the light starts to come back to us. In these next months food can be scarse and a struggle to come across for our forest companions. Our family enjoys creating abundance blessings for our forest friends. Our Solstice ritual consists of hanging peanut butter covered pinecones rolled in seed, making suet treats for our feathered friends, making orange feeders (jays love oranges), we leave our leftover decorative squash and gourds at the edge of the forest, we hang and lay out dried corn at the edge of the forest as well. These little acts are considered sharing abundance and giving without expectation of receiving. This is good medicine in the Universe. Another Solstice ritual is the lighting of candles on the longest night. It is a sign of hope in the darkness. Here are some frozen candle holders that would be beautiful to illuminate the way home. These are only a couple of many wonderful Yule rituals our family enjoys. I will share more in the coming days.
