Because I'm mentally ill and even though I haven't indulged in an official piece of Moomin media IN AGES I need to get this one out there.

● Nowhere Man - Joxter. Duh. This really reminds me of the scene when Hodgkins tries to get Moominpapa to understand Joxter a bit better.

I started reading The Exploits of Moominpapa impulsively last night and now I can't stop thinking of them even more :3

So here's a bunch of funny little doodles I did in school and Hodgkins and Muddler being cute because I need healthy silly family fellas to heal me lol

I literally could not have finished this without feelo-fick’s kind words, it motivated me to finish this 3 year old work in progress 💪

Description below:

Ok so it sounds dumb but for some reason when I read "The Memoirs of Moominpapa" Liam Neeson is what I hear for Joxter's lines. And I found that a lot of the Ponyo scenes fit his character so here it is. Also this took me like 3 years to finish and I couldn't be bothered to redo all of the scenes, especially the front facing Joxter ones so don't look too closely at my younger-self's attempt at drawing faces.

Other than that, I have no idea what the plot is. Its vaguely set when Moominpapa is travelling with the hattifattners, leaning more towards the world in the books. Where canon diverges however is about here: Moominmama never met The Joxter but Moominpapa did thus the protectiveness towards the children, Snufkin is The Joxter's lost kid who he never found up until now, and now he has to get his kid back from this giant hippo who is aggressively trying to adopt Snufkin who is clearly homeless like himself.

Fan Theory: Tulippa Is Alicia's Mother:

Ok, I know this is a stretch for obvious reasons (for one Alicia is around the same age as Snufkin, Moomin and the gang) and, according to the wiki, she leaves the Moomins to be with a guy at a light house.

BUT, since this is the 90's anime I'm talking about, some liberties could be taken. For one, Tulippa could be a product of The Witch's magical experimenting that led to making a human from a flower (a la "Thumbelina" or like the Power Puff Girls). Somehow, (maybe in another of Moominpapa's memoirs) she'd meet and marry the Light House Boy. Alicia would then be the result.
