Dion and Nektar

Everywhere Dion goes, Nektar the Moogle can be seen following him around.

Clive noticed Nektar floating beside Dion when the Prince was observing daily bread being baked inside the hot ovens.

Joshua spotted Nektar helping Dion with the library books.

Jill was surprised to see Nektar napping on Dion's head when he's reading.

Torgal went "woof?" when it saw Dion sitting down with Nektar on his lap and gently stroking the Moogle's fluffy white fur at the deck.

The ppl of the Hideaway and the Rosfield brothers goes "So cute" when Dion walked into the gathering room, carrying Nektar in his arms like a plush while the Moogle nuzzles at his warm hands.

Nektar told Clive "Kupo Kupo Kupo! (I'm Dion's new friend and pet) 💕

Clive approved.

You know, for all the ∞ sidequests we got in game, I would have loved one with/about Nektar.

Nektar was a pretty funny gud boi, it'd have been great to accompany him to an adventure so he could brag about this later!

(Or, if we get into head-canon territory, in case Clive and Jill (or only Jill you choose your ending) leave Storm, Nektar could go with them, to have great adventures in the outer continent.)

Looking up when they heard a low bark, Satoshi smirked. "Seems they're back. We'll let them go to the Hunt Board themselves. Anyway. I like Nektar. He's cute."

Swallowing some of her stew, Rhea hummed. Oh. That hit the spot. “I can’t understand a lick of what he says, but I asked Nektar to put up a bill of this guy on the hunt board. Clive will probably see it there too.”

   “I’m surprised anyone understands him. I can more accurantely guess what Torgal’s trying to communicate than anything Nektar says… At best I can tell when he’s angry, afraid, or dancing. …Or drunk.”

Nektar is practicing little jabs and kicks as Clive approaches the Hunt Board.

Clive raises an eyebrow: "What are you doing?"

Nektar raises a paw: "I am going to challenge him to a duel for the fair maiden's hand!"

Clive blinks: "... May I ask why?"

Nektar hovers around: "She places a kiss upon my forehead every morning as she heads to the kitchen! She holds me and allows me to rest my weary head upon her bosom! Just yesterday, she had asked if I would live in Rosaria with her!"

Clive folds his arms: "... I see..."

Nektar flails his arms: "It is clearly love!"

Joshua chuckles upon approaching: "He is as energetic as ever, I see."

Clive: "He wishes to challenge you to a duel for Eir's hand."

Joshua stares at his brother for a moment. Meanwhile, Nektar does his best to puff out his chest in order to appear intimidating.

Joshua laughs: "Oh, I see. This is one of those jests meant to spur me into action. Perhaps you should have chosen an actual man instead of a Moogle."

Nektar inhales a high-pitched gasp that sounds like air leaking out of a balloon.

Joshua: "Well, I will have you know I do intend to, but... Facing Ultima will be dangerous. We know not of what will happen, and so I do not wish to make her feel as though she cannot move on..."

Nektar: "It's alright, when something happens to you, I will be here to dry her tear--"

Nektar proceeds to flail as Clive interrupts him by tugging on one of his ears.

Joshua: "Brother! Do not bully the poor Moogle."
