Werewolf Holidays

Hello again all! It's been a hot minute since the last time I made any holiday templates for my calendar. I've been playing hardcore lately and got inspired by my gameplay to make a calendar, customs and lore for Werewolf sims. Please use these as inspiration for your own games as much as you wish :) In my sims' world, The Moonwood Collective and the Wildfangs celebrate holidays in ways that reflect their pack ideals. Not only that, but the Wildfangs are exclusively aged late teen and up so they tend to have a wilder approach to things.

Bonding Ritual - The Moodwood Collective

Spring brings life and renewal and the Moonwood Collective honors the goddess of the Moon by letting nature take its course. Werewolf sims should get romantic with their partners and get a little frisky. Typically, members of the Moonwood Collective tend to see their families increase in number after this holiday ;) This holiday pairs very well with the Free Love N.A.P and adds another layer to your werewolf community.

Full Moon Chase - The Wildfangs

The Wildfangs aren't as interested in procreating as the Moonwood Collective, but they still have that animalistic instinct. These werewolf sims celebrate Spring in a different way. Gather your werewolf pack and get ready to chase the moon...and some tail. Werewolf sims should get pumped with their pack and run through the wilderness at full speed. This rush of adrenaline and living free will bring your sim closer to their pack members, and maybe really close if they can sneak off to that bush over there.

Lupine Outreach - The Moonwood Collective

Summer is the perfect time to work on Werewolf Diplomacy. The Moonwood Collective will travel to Granite Falls in an effort to raise werewolf awareness and visit their sister tribe. This is a time of merriment as werewolf members will eat, drink and intermingle with all sorts of sims. This is also the perfect time for teen werewolves to break away from their pack and transfer to the sister branches and explore new territory.

The Gathering - The Wildfangs

As temps rise, the Wildfangs tend to get a little...heated. Summertime means that the Wildfangs will hold a gathering for their pack and what ensues can only be described as the biggest rager in all of Moonwood Mill. Werewolf sims will party their hairy behinds off, pick fights and play pranks on one another, all in comradery of course. The Gathering is also an important ritual for the Wildfangs as it is the only time that a pack member may challenge the Alpha for leadership. Win or lose, the party afterwards will always be legendary! This holiday goes well with the Roughousing Encouraged N.A.P to add detail to your werewolf community and reduce negative effects.

~ Fall ~ Replacement for Harvestfest

Harvest Moon - The Moodwood Collective

The last harvest of the season brings great joy to the Moonwood Collective. This signals the end of their growing season and to celebrate they throw a huge feast! The pack Alpha brings everyone around the Star Tree and tells the story of their origins and Werewolf creation. This feast lasts late into the night and when the moon finally rises to the very top, the Moonwood Collective make their way to the mountain peak and howl to the Moon goddess to show their thanks for the bounty.

The Wild Hunt - The WildFangs

The Wildfangs deeply respect the Wild Hunt as an initiation ritual. Teen werewolves that are close to aging up may be brought in by older members and must attempt to gain membership by completing the 3 trials. Once completed the Wildfangs will celebrate with a pack hunt, the first of many for the new Pup level werewolves.

Frosty Paws - The Moonwood Collective

Ironically, the werewolf members of the Moonwood Collective don't believe in a mythical man who brings you presents. Instead, they tend to enjoy the company of those around them and love to give rather than receive. Tradition dictates that all gifts must be handmade and the Moonwood Collective isn't short on talented members. The Wildfangs on the other hand typically doesn't like to celebrate Frosty Paws. The cold temps of winter really put a damper on their moods, so they bunker down and enjoy some cozy solitude.

The end of Winter is a time to reflect on the past year and those that aren't with us anymore. Both packs honor this holiday as the grim reaper doesn't discriminate and pain is shared on both sides. During Somber Howl, the werewolf packs will gather and tell stories about lost loved ones, visit with their ghosts, and make resolutions (usually to better themselves the next year).

so this was the romance situation on love day, as i debated who to ask out

i ended up sending a flirty text to jacob, since a dalliance to moodwood mill revealed he was my sim's fated mate. we went on a date to the grimtooth bar only for him to literally run back to his pack and ditch me entirely. while i was moping, thomas called to ask me out.

back at my lot after a date at the von haunt estate, these two become boyfriends and spend love day together lol

first time i saw this option with him was at max relationship lmfao, but whatever. also thought the juxtaposition was funny. i havent bitten anyone yet.

this just made me laugh. erich, baby, what the fuck.

we talked that out ("im scared you're cheating on me" "babe you have seven other boyfriends and i'm married with kids" "oh right lol")

the thomas situation was just a mess. had a want to break up with him and bad compatability, despite being soulmates.

then kyle broke into my house to ask me out + take out the trash when i said yes

i didnt realize our compatability was that high :o

um at the same time. this happened after love day

i brought thomas with me to the hospital bc the kid is his, but he ditched me p much immediately. once i got Levi home, i called thomas over and broke up with him. finally got rid of that want lmao it was there for days

kyle (and also kim?) came over to meet the baby and while they were talking to each other this happened ??

and i mean. sure whatever. i dont mind

but the entire time erich is tense bc i havent had him spend p much any time with his fated mate, jacob, since he ditched me on our date. after levi aged up to infant, i put him down for a nap and went outside to elope. the option said "defy fate and elope" which is. concerning

Hello Moodwood Mill Cabin

The Laurent Family Round 4

The Laurents decide to purchase Succulent, the hottest new club in Oasis Springs. It's a coincidence that they purchased a business in the town where the Markovics live. Tonight is the grand opening. It is also the first full moon since Greta became a werewolf.

Greta tried to resist the urges, but the night had barely begun before she lost control.

The customers and her family were shocked.

Hector watches helplessly as Greta terrifies his customers.

Greta is able to finally resist the full moon and return to her human form, but it was too late. She has ruined her family's reputation and the grand opening of the club.

After the hurt that Greta's actions caused her family, she vows to find a way to be rid of this curse.

The next morning, Greta mopes around the house while Hilary soothes her ego with ice cream at 6am.

She travels to Moodwood Mill to learn if there is a cure for this curse. Greta tries to make friends with Rory. I don't know what this bow is doing on Rory's werewolf form, but it's beautiful, honestly.

Rory is guarded, and Greta goes home having gained nothing.

The next morning, Greta gets some amazing news. She tells her mom that she just got her acceptance email from Britechester University.

Hector tries to get his wife to forgive him, but Hilary is disgusted by her husband's willingness to put financial success over the well-being of the people around him. (Bonus: Random townie streaking in the background.)

Hector spends a lot of time on the roof with his telescope. Gazing at the skies helps to clear his mind.

He also spends a lot of time drinking alone at Succulent. He owns the place, so no one can tell him to go home.

Jace tries to ignore the fact that his family is falling apart by spending all of his time outside of school with his friends. He is really close with Olive Tinker, Billie Jang and Eloise Scott.

Greta feels a huge sense of relief knowing that she will soon be going away to university. She hopes to escape the shame she feels now that her werewolf form was exposed.

Greta tells her father how she plans on studying science so that she can find a cure for all of the occults.

The energy is this family has become painfully awkward.

The Townies - Year 2 Summary

Well, two "years" in, and things have changed a lot for the Townie families!

The Pancakes

Eliza and Bob started off the spring of year 2 in different bedrooms, but by the end of the season had renovated Eliza's room into a shared master so that their daughter, Adrienne, could have her own room once she was old enough.

In summer, Adrienne became best friends with Axel Woods, Johnny Zest's stepson and her neighbour, as he lived most of the time with his Dad John in Willow Creek. Bob was smitten with his daughter but adamant he still didn't want more children, to Eliza's disappointment.

In the summer, Adrienne grew up into a self-assured teenager and started at high school. She also got a job as a barista because she wanted nothing more from life than to be fabulously wealthy. Bob and Eliza continued to grow closer as Eliza accepted that Adrienne would be their only child.

In the winter, Eliza's career as a romance novelist really started taking off, with multiple published works selling well enough to earn some decent royalties. The Pancakes celebrated Winterfest and New Year's, Adrienne is the top student at her school, and Adrienne and Axel start dating.

Howell

Big changes are afoot for the Howell family, with their spring starting off as Lou and Angela Pleasant in Evergreen Harbor. Early on, Angela and Lou break up, and Angela moves back in with her twin sister Lilith in San Myshuno. Lou, meanwhile, pairs up with new girlfriend Rory Oaklow, and they move to a rugged little starter home in Moonwood Mill. Lou's desire to invest in their little pack, the Wildfangs, has a rocky start when he changes Joaquin Le Chien into a werewolf against his will, getting him into trouble with the Moonwood Collective and with Rory. On the other hand, they both enjoy the freedom that living in the Mill brings.

Things settle down by the summer, with Lou agreeing to Rory's rule of not changing anyone against their wishes. The couple adopt a spaniel called Zena and induct a werewolf called Kayson Rouse into the Wildfangs. They also get married in a private ceremony, just the two of them, at the top of the mountain.

In the autumn, the werewolf couple discover they have fertility challenges and decide to adopt. Kristopher Volkov, leader of the Moodwood Collective and Rory's adoptive father, orchestrates the adoption of a werewolf child called Kian. Lou and Rory are both delighted to welcome him to their little family.

Finally, winter is for getting to know Kian, earning as much as possible to facilitate moving to a bigger house one day, and playing in the snow. The Howell family finish the year out as a family of three werewolves, and with the Wildfangs slowly growing.

The Pleasants

Year 2 kicks off with the Pleasant twins back together! Angela joins Lilith in her apartment in the Arts Quarter of San Myshuno, where Lilith is busy rising through the ranks of the criminal world and Angela can focus on becoming the city's most well-respected art critic. It seemed like this location might actually suit Angela better than Lilith, who in the spring started learning about vampires and found herself very intrigued by the idea of immortality. Lilith continues casually seeing several men, and Angela puts herself back out there in the dating world too.

By the summer, Lilith knows what she wants to do. She seduces Vladislaus Straud, an ancient vampire in Forgotten Hollow, and becomes a vampire herself. Angela goes on a few dates, but nothing sticks until she meets Kyle Kyleson, who she has an incredible time with. By the end of the season, he's agreed to be her boyfriend.

Autumn brings the news that Lilith is moving out to Forgotten Hollow to live with Straud and lean into her vampiric lifestyle. Angela redecorates the Arts Quarter apartment and waves her sister goodbye. Kyle moves in shortly thereafter, and at the end of the autumn he proposes to Angela, and she accepts.

Winter is a big season for Angela and Kyle, who have an engagement party, a stunning winter wedding in the city botanical gardens, and then fall pregnant by the end of the season. They are both blissfully happy! We'll need to wait until Year 3 to meet their baby, though.

Straud

Lilith and Vlad don't have a full year as their own rotation, just the autumn and winter, but they start autumn off strong with a move for both of them - Lilith from the city, Vlad from his gloomy mansion. Lilith chooses the airy, sweeping house from the Twilight series, and it fits them both perfectly. She and Straud spend most of autumn developing their vampiric powers and generally wreaking havoc in the clouded world of Forgotten Hollow.

In the winter, the couple make some progress towards the coven they really want - a group of close-knit vampires filling this lovely, expansive house of theirs. Salim Benali, Lilith's friend with benefits from the city, agrees to the change and moves into the house after his transformation.

Lynx

Spring in Evergreen Harbor reveals that, after moving in with Knox's parents last season, Knox and Catarina have managed to improve the environment of Port Promise. The couple hadn't managed to fall pregnant though, and decide to put it on hold as they work on the rest of their goals for the Port, as having a baby in a container house would be difficult.

In the summer Catarina loses her favourite cat, Bartholomew Bittlebun Jnr., but throws herself into work and crafting to make enough money for their new home in the future. Knox works hard on the community space at Port Promise.

In the autumn, having turned Port Promise into a charming eco paradise, Knox and Catarina move back to Catarina's home of Brindleton Bay, where they plan to start their family. Catarina adopts a stray cat and calls her Persephone, and they also lose her last original cat, Cleo. Knox and Catarina discover they're the second family among the Townies to have fertility challenges, but decide on IVF over adoption. Their son, Monty Greenburg, joins the family at the end of the season.

Katarina and Knox celebrate their adult birthdays at the start of winter, and Monty becomes an infant. Persephone, the new cat, and Boris, the son of Cleo and Bartholomew, have a kitten that Catarina names Aphrodite, before Boris passes away. Mary and Blossom join the household for Winterfest and dote on their grandson.

Zest

As for the Zests, they start the spring by moving out of San Myshuno and into a modern, attractive home in Del Sol Valley, closer to where Johnny performs for work. They welcome their son Hendrix to the family, and Axel starts staying with them more regularly, though still part-time.

In the summer, Axel, now a hot-heated teenager, asks to move in with them full-time. Peaches is delighted, as is Johnny, and they quickly agree, although Axel makes an effort to spend time with his Dad John regularly too. Hendrix achieves many milestones and becomes a toddler and Axel develops a very unrequited crush on Marion Sparacino.

Autumn sees the Zests spending time with friends and family. Axel starts dating Adrienne Pancakes, his childhood best friend, having recovered from his crush, and they go to prom together and have a magical evening.

Finally, in winter, Hendrix has a child birthday and turns out to be a cheerful kid, and Axel applies to university, though won't find out his results until next season. Peaches and John can now be civil with each other, but Peaches and Johnny have a brief argument, which fortunately they recover from. Peaches and Johnny have their adult birthdays at the end of the season, and Axel and Adrienne exchange promise rings.

Featured Father - Bran Lockhart

Bran is a character that I made. He is the brother to Colin, a vampire I also made who was also featured in the Father Spotlight. Bran is the younger brother. I wasn't able to find the full blurb I had for them but after Colin left the house and became a vampire Bran worked hard to graduate high school and get into college. He moved to the city right before Colin showed up needing a place to stay. He met McKenna first and really fell hard for her. He wasn't too happy when McKenna started sleeping with Colin. He is currently an elder in the game but this picture is how he started as a young adult. Him and Colin are available on my gallery. Let me know if you're interested.

Hudson was the 8th child born to McKenna Lew. He was a Happy Toddler, Responsible, has high self esteem, and graduated with honors. He's a quick learner, has a high metabolism, and is an overachiever. He's self absorbed but is also proper and recently discovered he's romantic. When he became a young adult he moved to Moodwood Mill with a woman named Frog Harris. She died recently and has since been put in the cemetery. He is a full adult now and is a background actor. Hudson has always been one of the best looking male children and he's always been a bit of a toolbag deep down. He sleeps around and at the moment of this typing he possibly got two women pregnant a day apart from each other. Waiting to see what happens with that. His look hasn't changed so there's no new pictures but here he is through the years.

They asked me to come and find you Holly: Oh no, Alec, I totally lost track of tIme. I’m so sorry, it won’t happen again! Alec:  You don’t have to apologize to me, you know. Come on we should go Holly turned over to Marcel, a human who stole her heart, wondering if she should ever tell him her big secret. They met just a few months ago right before her brother, also the Alpha of their pack disappeared.  Marcel: Where dov you need to go so in a hurry? Holly: Just some business I have to take part of. I’ll see you later okay? Marcel: Well, I’ll take a stroll to the forest then, a forestkeeper gotta do what he gotta do. Just take care, okay? Some weird things are happening out there... Holly: I‘ve known this place since I was a baby, I’ll be fine! They kissed each vother goodbye and Holly followed Alec to the home of their new Alpha.
