I know I'm delusional as hell, but it's so funny that Hua Cheng has a fair idea about what He Xuan does when he's in a vulnerable state. He also knows such sensitive details about his past and the torture he suffered from.

I don't remember where it was mentioned, but I am fairly sure that ghosts keep their background secret. Especially Supremes, i don't think they go around telling their sufferings to other supremes, as it can be a potential weakness..

And yet, Hua Cheng knows such things about He Xuan, and neither of them are foolish enough to reveal their past and weaknesses to their rival and potential enemies..

Which just... makes me wonder if their relationship is more than what meets the eye..

I mean, we wouldn't tell things that have traumatized us to just any person, right? There has to be a certain level of trust and understanding between these two..

I am not a Star War anymore, but I really am baffled by the fact that the ST had basically no impact on greater Star Wars storytelling. We'll be ten years removed from TFA this year, and the most significant ST-related Star Wars project since has been Galaxy's Edge, which can't really re-skin itself to be set during the OT (not without closing and doing a BUNCH of very expensive remodeling) but which quietly gave up on being fully immersive ST and now trots out Mandoverse face characters. Six years after RotS came out (which is where we are now with TRoS), most of TCW had already aired; ten years out from RotS was post-Disney, but there were six seasons of TCW, one season of Rebels, and TFA, plus all the ancillary comics/books/games. There was a fair amount of ST-era stuff while the ST was actually coming out, but since TRoS it's just been crickets aside from the one announcement about Daisy Ridley's new film (which I still think is highly hypothetical). The Mandoverse doesn't exactly put a lot of effort into trying to be a connection point between the OT and the ST. Even though I think because of the timeline of the films it's a lot harder to do an interstitial like TCW with the ST, there's so much that they could have done (and could still do), including, yes, a TLJ-TRoS interstitial, certainly there's pre-TFA stuff, animation, live action, games, comics, books, the whole kit and kaboodle that's been done for the PT and the OT while, and I cannot emphasize it enough, people still care about it. Like, that was the thing with TCW! It came out three years after RotS! People still cared about the PT! TCW was in large part responsible for keeping people caring about the PT! There's been no equivalent for the ST. (And with animation you don't have to worry about getting the original actors back.) Just wild.
