Yellow really isn't my colour. I neither like the look, not do I look good while wearing it. I have some of these clear IKEA boxes for storage for my shawls and some of the yarns and fabrics. I have a dedicated compartment for my spinning fibers and spindles. And last but not least I have a few shelfs of other yarns and supplies in my living room. Nearly a week ago it was "world wide spin in public day". THis year I actually had time to go to one. So I saw a few spinning friends, and had a great time. A current collaboration is my CoVid-quilt. I run out of fabrics somewhere in the middle of piecing blocks together. Or better, I only had leftovers from the same few projects so everything would be too similar. So I asked around the people I know that sew for their leftover fabrics. And gosh did I get some beautiful leftovers. So thanks to @danielakayb, @magic_cauldron, @jzlos and @pepito_mel I had enough fabric to play around and make a quilt. I am still working on this rather largish quilt. Handmade quilts are a nice cuddely way to have something for ones home without it being just something that collects dust. I mus admit, I'm not much of a red person. I got a few store-bough items that are red, but not a lot of things I made myself. One of these are my Lady Sif Gauntlets. These fingerless mittens may look simple and elegant, but developing the pattern so it looks this clean was a lot of trail and error. I fnished knitted 5 mittens total, and ribbed and re-knitted them in parts way more often. Sometimes you need a lot of tries to get a nice finished object. I got quite a lot collections or themes in my me-made-wardrobe. I sewn a fairy tale inspired collection a few years ago, I designed and knitted a lot of superhero items. These themes may not always be visible to anyoen, but I love the fact that I can put myself in an all super heroin themed outfit. One of my favourite crafting spaces in my flat is my sewing table. My sewing machine just lives there. I don't need to make space for her and plug everything in, no I can just sit down and sew. Atm there is not a lot of clutter around her, as I finished quilting my crazy quilt a few days ago and had to put away everything that usually lives around there. Green may be my favourite colour, but as it goes so nicely with blue, there are a lot of blue items I made as well. The crazy quilt I make to keep myself sane during this pandemic has light blue sahsing and I like the fabric so much I made a matching cushion.
