Mont de Marsan : La Madeleine ne décolle toujours pas avec les La Quinta

La corrida de La Quinta n’aura toujours pas réussi à inverser la tendance d’une Madeleine qui ne parvient pas à décoller. Le mano a mano entre les deux “héros” de la dernière Madeleine n’a lui aussi jamais décollé malgré des octrois généreux d’une présidence trop facile à convaincre. Les six toros de La Quinta, en général correct de gabarit et d’armures, ont tous offert de la mobilité dans tous…

En fait tout ce tour en Gascogne, dans les Landes a UN but : aller à Mont-de-Marsan. C'est là que j'ai commencé pour la toute première fois, à travailler en 1982-83, en temps que prof stagiaire au Lycée Duruy....Et comme cette année c'est la retraite : la boucle est bouclée !!

C'est horrible mais je n'ai aucun souvenir de ces bâtiments médiévaux avec donjon (le Donjon Lacataye) où se trouve un musée de sculptures.

On y voit aussi des artichauts aux fleurs géantes et un petit écureuil émaillé sur le toit d'une maison voisine.

In honour of Emma's birthday, do you have some fun facts about her to share? 🥺💜

i didn’t see this ask earlier but!! i really really appreciate it! any chance to talk about my doomy babygirl means so much 🥹💜

emma marsanes (my oc); assorted goodies

she’s played the piano since she was six, and she hated lessons but loved learning pieces on her own time! she started classical training for a couple years and enjoyed it at first but realized it wasn’t really her style.

one of her comfort songs is the sonnerie de sainte-geneviève du mont-de-paris, a baroque era piece meant for strings but she’s always wanted to play an arrangement on the piano — a duet waiting for her and robert perhaps? ;3

(i’m sure they found a way to duet it, hehe! they love playing piano duets together, even before they become A Thing~)

like me, she has perfect pitch. meaning she can tell which musical note something is just hearing it. both her bands have tested her and she passed with flying colors :D or just shades of purple, knowing her!

her spice tolerance is on and off. you never know if a dish is going to have her chugging down water or not, or somewhere in between!

she loves wearing lace! emma didn’t go to her high school prom, but if she did she would’ve gone in a black lace dress. full gothic getup, you get the vision?

she listened to nightfall a few months after it first released, and loved it immediately! initially emma didn’t really have a favorite track off it, but after she was arrested following that bar fight in 1992, at the gallows end resonated deeply with her. since she thought her life was over then and there.

(it wasn’t, but hell if emma doesn’t get nightmares of it here and there, and tense up extremely when someone knocks too loudly at her door.)

isa made emma a little purple quilt, finished in time for emma’s eighth birthday, that she has to this day. she’ll tuck it in with her onstage when she’s especially nervous about a show.

emma started off her tenure with candlemass pretty… scared of leif. i doubt there’s a way around it, when she’s been this nervous that he’d take her beloved away from her somehow 🥹 however, leif is very kind to her, he gives her all the space she needs and assures her time and time again that robert is all hers.

it takes longer for emma to really feel comfortable with leif than any of the other cmass guys, which he understands and doesn’t resent at all ❤️

she gets very flustered when complimented, she doesn’t know how to respond so it’s often with downplaying herself more, but she’s learning to break that habit!

one thing she loves to spend off days doing is going on drives through middle-of-nowhere sorts of places, half-dead forests, hidden hills, that sort of vibe, while listening to favorite metal CDs. she and robert have made sure they keep a car with a CD player, especially for these drives, and he takes her on one every year for her birthday :3 this year they went with cmass reruns!
