I'm curious what Vox's first impressions were of the Alastor's daughter, like as a kid, I mean he briefly mentions it but I kinda wanna read his reaction about learning the radio host he grew up listening to has a daughter (and if he learned before the serial killer thing was announced, did imagine scenarios of meeting the radio man and his daughter like little kids do with their imagination or teens with their daydreams).
Another inquiry is what his impressions were when he read the reader's book (obviously he read it) and if he could sense there was more to it than the words written down
OATSH Master List
To answer your second question succinctly, yes. Not to the extent that he would suspect them of anything but he would have definitely picked up on some very subtle hints of defensiveness when it came to Alastor’s killings. I think he’d probably read it as them feeling like they need justification for still caring about him despite what he did but in reality, it’s less about their own justification and more so like a “he’s not a monster. He was helping people, why can you see that?” you know?
To answer your first question, thank you for giving me a reason to write this:
A Voice on the Radio | Vox x Alastor’s Child Reader
It was a surprise when the radio switched from producing the sound of blues to voices. For the past week, nothing but blues music came from the station. A very stark change from the upbeat jazz that normally played. There had also been no speaking. Not a single soul had spoken for the last nine days.
A throat cleared. “Is this on?”
“The light,” another, much younger sounding voice said.
The fifteen year old paused eating breakfast and looked at his mother who was staring at the radio with furrowed brows. Neither voice was familiar.
“Ah, yes, right,” the first voice said with a laugh. “Good morning all, we would like to apologize for the radio silence on our part this past week. Some unexpected tragedies came our way and with them uncovered some gruesome truths.
“The dearly beloved host, Alastor, has passed. He was killed by a misfire of a hunter. A truly tragic event but with it came to light the horrific acts of the late Alastor. As you likely know if you’re a long time listener, for the past decade or so, there have been many murders that have befallen this otherwise serene part of Louisiana and it’s been confirmed to be the acts of our previous show host.
“Today, I have here with me the one person who knew him better than anyone else and can hopefully shine some light upon the situation and perhaps give some peace to the families of the victims. Alastor’s daughter—“
He looked towards the radio now. His breakfast was forgotten now. His fork barely dangled in his hand.
Not only was his mother’s (and by extension his own) favorite radio show host dead but also a murderer and he had a daughter? So much information in less than three minutes. His brain was struggling to keep up.
Even his father set down his paper to listen in.
“Why don’t you say hello to the people?”
“I’m not dignifying you with a proper greeting until you dignify me with a proper introduction. You’re doing a terrible job, Gregory,” the younger voice said.
He smiled curiously at the radio.
“I— um, I’m sorry?” the man, Gregory, said. There was only silence in reply. An awkward chuckle, “Well, my apologies then. Let me introduce the daughter of our show host—“ Gregory said your name and silently he tested it on his tongue— “Do you have anything to say to the people before we begin?”
“Yes, I would like to sincerely apologize for Gregory’s lack of bravado and charisma. I did do my best to convince them that Raymond would be better but alas,” you said.
That’s when he got it. You did sound like a younger, more feminine version of your father. Down to the tilts of the accent.
There was a longer pause and then, barely picked up and barely able to decipher, “You have your father’s creepy smile.” Louder, intended to be heard, “Why don’t we get into the questions then?”
“Yes, let’s. The less time spent listening to you, the better for everyone, hm?”
“You little— So—“ the sounds of hands clapping together— “the reports I have here suggest that you knew about the murders. Was there a reason you didn’t say anything?”
“I’ve been raised by a serial killer, Gregory. Please, take a guess,” you replied.
He couldn’t help but snort as reached for his glass. His mother shot him a look. He bowed his head down as he took a sip.
“Right, well,” Gregory cleared his throat, “did you happen to know his motivations?”
“He’s a very righteous man,” you said. “You’ve seen him when people are being disrespectful. He’s not just some ravaging animal. He’s very selective.”
“Was,” Gregory corrected. “He was very selective, you mean.”
“Was,” you repeated and he could hear you seething even through the crackle of the radio.
“Oh, heavens! Get your stuff or we’re going to be late,” his mother said.
He didn’t want to go though. He wanted to stay and listen to you on the radio. He was having fun listening to your snark.
It truly surprised him, impressed him how you were able to have such moxie so soon after tragedy. He couldn’t imagine being so quick witted so quickly.
His mother called his name and he snapped back to reality. As he headed out the door, he heard you snap back at Gregory one more time, “And would you call yourself a saint? Don’t think no one’s noticed the looks you’ve shared with Ms. Brown, as a married man, no less!”
He compressed a laugh to his chest as he followed his mother.
The next day he saw a paper with a headline related to a serial killer in Louisiana. He paid for the paper and read another interview with you.
He couldn’t help but wonder what you looked like. What would such a snarky, confident girl look like? He wanted to know. He wanted to meet you. Even in tragedy, you seemed like good company to have.

All these characters are from an RPG campaign called; Gehenna's Gates, set in the world of Vampire The Masquerade. Feel free to ask any questions!
So here the characters from left to right!
Arthur: A former vampire hunter who saw the final nights approaching, realized that hunting was not the right tool to prevent Gehenna. He's unusually friendly with vampires, so much so that he's come to be like a father to some of them. Man seems to radiate a light of great comfort for these creatures of darkness.
Rudolf the Vile: Ex soldier whose life and non-life are shrouded in mystery. The few people who have a close relationship with him know that his Embrace was neither the most conventional nor the most pleasant. He committed horrific war crimes when he was alive, but no one knows exactly what or why. His atypical Embrace and the atrocities committed in his life contributed to making him a monster condemned to forever be damned for his crimes and tormented by the innocent souls whose lives he had taken. He already suffered from a severe form of OCD when he was alive, a condition that only got worse after the transformation. On the outside he appears as a serious and gloomy individual and his cold character and retrograde ideas do not make him the most pleasant person to be around.
Danya Vetranov: A charming Ravnos with a difficult past. Her sire took her to the circus for her extraordinary divination skills, and for many years that place was her home. The events she experienced in London had a radical impact on her life, pushing her to become the human soul of her coterie. She has a natural talent for bringing people together and considers those close to her as her family. She's willing to do anything to protect them, without any hesitation.
Anselm Godwyn: A True-Brujah who earned his position as Archon due to his ability to control time. He was given the task of keeping tabs on London when the signs of Gehenna were already evident, hampered by a rather peculiar group of vampires and the reappearance of a beloved face lost centuries ago.
Jonah/Sargon The Omniscient: The most mysterious and inexplicable man you could ever meet. A Malkavian who appears to be a ditzy kid with a thing for whales, but is actually far more erudite and older than he lets on. You'd better be careful if you don't want to see what lies beneath the blindfold. He has known Rudolf for a long time and Arthur even more, yet neither the soldier nor the hunter are sure of the true nature behind that mask of naivety.
Elizabeth De Lacy: Coming from a rich and noble family, she lost everything at 17, only to regain it with her own strength and the help of a charming Ventrue who took her as her initiate. As beautiful as she is ambitious and the last of her clan in London, she juggles the government and her various thorny relationships. Haughty and snobbish, she also hides a kind side in her own way.
Luc Gossens: A politician who worked in the shadows to put his party in charge. But just when this happened, after an unfortunate accident he got back up like a Brujah. Without sire and hunted down, he was forced to hide in the circus, where he bonded closely with Philippe, Danya and Simone, becoming the guard who protected them. Even now as head of government he is ready to face anything in order to defend the family he has painstakingly built for himself. Arrogant, tough, stubborn, arrogant and sometimes overbearing, but a solid pillar to lean on in times of need.
Dandelion/Dantalion: A charming yet creepy demon, known to be talkative and a big talker. He claims to have once ruled the movements of the stars in the sky, but now takes care of teleporting Luc around a deal they made. The demon dreams of seeing a human race as powerful and determined as its bearer. Although he seems to trust Luc, he remains a mysterious and ambiguous character, whose true purpose remains to be revealed.
Gregory Kenneth Anderson: A Tremere, apparently a chatterbox and a joker; he wants to restore luster to his clan, an elder incredibly respected by all, and ardent supporter of the Camarilla. Put in London to control the group of reckless that governs it, he will become a great friend and a precious ally of Luc. His outgoing nature can easily deceive, however he too has many skeletons in the closet.
Nathan Black: Initially a Baali in the service of a powerful demon with the aim of bringing the apocalypse to the world, Nathan finds himself forced to infiltrate as a spy posing as a Brujah. During his time of infiltration, however, he can't help but develop an unstoppable affection for several members of the group, which leads him to betray his sire and the demon he was supposed to help. This act of betrayal makes him an outcast, exposing him to enormous risk within his clan, but at the same time opens him to an entirely new path that no other member of his clan has ever taken.
Ranya: A Ravnos, in league with the demon Ekron. She tricks Danya into finding and recovering the dices so she can allow the King of Hell to appear on earth and unleash the apocalypse. Apparently an ancient vampire with infernal powers who tries in every way to torment and destroy the coterie. She's going to kill Becker, leading them all into the fray.
Meinwald Willem Becker: Former Sheriff of London. A Brujah as strong as a titan but with a good heart. He rose from the darkest and most gloomy place in the vampiric world, devoted only to hatred and wickedness, returned with his own strength to find the light for himself and others. So strong and kind that he tamed Spain's most dangerous Lasombra, establishing a deep relationship with him. He was a beacon for the group and his death left incurable scars.
Devon Eskarra: A Lasombra who in his recent past was a serial killer, currently fatally linked to Elizabeth, also known as the butcher of Madrid. Has been embraced by an ancient and mysterious vampire with the sole purpose of bringing evil into the world. But even in the blackest evil can be found something good or useful, after the death of the man he loved seems willing to leave his past behind and live a quiet life. As if his personality wasn't creepy enough, he claims his sister is far worse than him.
O'Connel: A tech-savvy Noferatu, found himself in a difficult situation after his clan decided to abandon London. However, he was invited by Danya to join their coterie to help with the handling of the leak and, through an arrangement, became a valued collaborator. Although he was known for his quick temper, and always sulky, everyone had developed a special affection for him. His death has left a deep and irreplaceable void in the heart of the brotherhood.
Alastor Van Helsing: An apparent human of incredible strength and speed, achieved only by his ignorance and boorishness. The origin of his strength is not understood but a human-vampire fusion is suspected. Even the nature of his sword is shrouded in mystery, like its link with the East.
Samuel Sharabi: Sabbatical Archbishop based in Tel Aviv belonging to the Ravnos anti-tribe clan, a crazy, sardonic and lazy person, always ready to deceive others and take advantage of others. It was he who was robbed by Ranya of the dices and to a closer eye even a limb or two. It is not known how this individual rose through the Sabbatical hierarchy, and in fact some Cainites suspect that his role has simply been given to him and that someone is pulling the strings behind the curtain.
Naya the Fifth Finger: Former member of the Black Hand and belonging to the mysterious clan of the snakes of light, apathetic, emotionless and with a very violent past, he binds to Nate, with whom he establishes a very close relationship.

I don't know how I feel about the circus.
It's been a few weeks and I don't know. Aside from the fact that it's a very well done project by very talented people, I think it's not great.
I think the problem. MY PROBLEM is that for a pilot, I don't feel like we can go anywhere with the premise.
Take for instance the plot of Courage, the Cowardly dog.
Pilots for shows back then were just a basic indication of what an episode could be like. Riding off the heels of Animaniacs (which were inspired by Loony Toons who themselves were just animated vaudeville) a show could be about basically anything. Middle of Nowhere has roughly the same flexibility as Springfield, as a location that constantly moves and is never exactly in one place.
Maybe the episode can be about a monster of the week, like the pilot suggested. Maybe the monster is just a bad guy and is more nefarious than intimidating.
Maybe the bad guy is a negative emotion or behavior, like jealously, anger, or prejudice. You wouldn't expect a glorious episode like The Mask or the Last of the Starmakers even though the latter shares its spot with a sequel to the pilot episode.
The strength comes from the pilot not restricting what the show can be about and explicitly just telling the viewer that "Something" will happen in the middle of nowhere and Courage will rescue at least Muriel.
Here's a fairer comparison. Monkey Wrench! It's on its way to its third episode. What was its pilot like? Well, the pilot showed the day in the life of the Bounty hunters doing their daily job while also establishing the world and hinting at an overarching plot that the audience can find an additional interest in.
What is the ultimate objective of the mysterious group that hired an S tier assassin to kill all those diplomats and fat cats? What's in the cargo (and is it a girl again, like it was in Firefly and Outlaw Star?) ? Stuff like that gets you interested in what's going on and how our space cowboys will get roped into it.
The pilot has a plot.
Let's go back to The Amazing Digital Circus.
Pomni ends up trapped with other characters in a digital world where they are basically tortured by Caine, who is a corrupted AI!
So the plot is escaping?
NO. You can't escape. In fact, if you try to escape you'll go crazy and become abstract which is essentially death (I think therefore I am, if abstracting strips you of your ability to think, and without the ability to think, you can't confirm if you exist or if you are alive or dead, it would effectively make you non-existent or dead to be abstracted).
Pomni isn't a very strong lead, as she spent the whole first episode just being scared and mental. Every other character has been there so long that her anguish is a novelty. Their indifference about escaping stunts character growth, with the only thing that could change them being the hope of escaping, but the hope of escaping abstracts you because there is no logical escape. Caine can't even program a way for them to Alt f4 out of the game, merely thinking that the exit should lead to some area that is outside his ability to comprehend.
So the show is just about them surviving the eternal torment that is Gregory House, The Amazing Digital Circus! What can happen at the circus? Well, circus stuff. Maybe something random and nonsensical.
Well, if you like Bobobo maybe random nonsense happening and people yelling and playing along with it in goofy ways is enough, but I like my torture to have some structure in it. I mentioned it jokingly, but Gregory Horror Show also traps a lead character and, typically, subjects them to torture specific to that person.
The first time you watch it, you don't get it until the end, but after watching the end, you realize how doomed that person was from the beginning.
I've seen the digital circus theories. Don't you worry. Some people think there is an escape, some people think escape is why people abstract, some people think that this is supposed to be some kind of Kafkaesque escape from some horrible reality. Some people compare it to Sword Art Online, perhaps it is more like Code Lyoko's Virtualization or even Digimon's Digital Dive.
The reality is that very little is told from the pilot except that there can be no escape.
I guess that leaves us with one or two results.
The Amazing Digital Circus, having a really strong plot with character development that is entirely contingent on breaking the one rule it hammered into us (that we can't escape the game and trying to escape will abstract you) and that Pomni is more than just a shaking leaf and will actually rise to the occasion and will shift the paradigm and change the fate of everyone in the circus.
OR is the Amazing Digital Circus going to have a "scenario of the week" setup where nothing with long term ramifications happens and no one changes throughout the show, including Pomni whose job is to just do this
Over and over until the show ends.
I mean, there is a glimmer of hope as Goose has toyed with the idea of having a layer of intrigue to a story.
Of course, the fate of the show could be in your hands. After all Goose threatened to make the show bad on purpose if you fail to control yourselves and well.
Most show writers don't have to tell the audience the age of the characters, so the audience can feel good about looking up and creating pornography of the characters.
I mean every fandom has its bad apples but dude, let's be frank. This made sense when Hazbin Hotel all but demanded you be aroused and most other indie shows don't have this problem (including other works by Goose and Glitch) so unless you want the show ruined I'd tone that down.
It's not my show at risk in the end. Monkey Wrench is my jam and that show's fandom did not get completely fucked up after the first episode and has a clear plot, so I'm feeling pretty good about it.

South Park AU (Beyond the Hotel)
Bare with us because the title for this AU is VERY bad. I literally had no idea what to name it.
anyways this au IS inspired by Doors (the roblox game.) and somewhat inspired by Hell Park
There are 5 or so main groups that are important.
The guiding lights (I need a better name for them cause Wendy is like the only person that guides them) - Gregory, Wendy, Rebecca.
Stan's Gang (Hunters) - Stan, Kenny, Carman, Kyle, Marjorine.
Craig's gang (Vloggers) - Craig, Clyde, Tolkien.
The Girls (Fighters) - Red, Heidi, Nichole.
The Foreign Kids (The Misfortionates) - Estella, Pip, Damien, Christophe.
Everyone here (minus the guiding lights) is ALIVE. (minus Pip he dies in the first chapter because of Damien.)
The monsters are - Bebe, Tweek, Pip (after Chapter 1), Jimmy, Pocket.
SHIPS - Gregstella, KyBecca, Creek, Stendy (maybe some others.)
NOTES - Stan and his friends are professional ghost hunters in a way.
Stan and Craig are cousins so whenever Stan has to travel for his jobs he brings Craig with him and Craig sometimes brings his friends, like now.
Stan and Craig grew up in South Park together. Stan moved away while Craig stayed for his friends and Tweek.
PLOT - A few random things have been happening in South Park. Crime has been on the rise, and people have been going missing left and right. It's all unexplainable. Some blame it on the Mayors poor choice in running the town, others blame it on religious reasons.
Craig didn't really care. It wasn't affecting him other than the mandatory curfew the mayor put in place.
Until it started happening to him. His boyfriend, Tweek Tweak, and his friend Jimmy Valmer went missing.
He calls in his cousin, a well-known "ghost hunter" of sorts. To come investing. See what's wrong.
Stan and his friends come back to South Park. They decide to check out some old hotel nearby the spot where Jimmy went missing. Everything about this hotel is old. Nothing works minus this elevator.
Against their better judgment, they go on the elevator and push up to the 2nd floor. Maybe Jimmy was just playing some big ass prank. He does that a lot.
They get to the 2nd floor but it doesn't top. It reaches the 10th floor before crashing down. They hold on tight to the walls as the elevator drops. They think they're about to die. Yet the elevator stops on a new floor.
Floor Zero.
They open the door and step into a new floor. This looks different than the old hotel they were just in. It looks old time but yet brand new. As if someone was keeping it in shape.
They stumble out of the elevator. Some are sick, some fall to the floor.
Craig falls to the floor as he fights the nausea building up. He hears footsteps approaching him. He looks up and sees around 4 people looking over him. They all shine flashlights at him, some use lighters while one holds a cross. They all speak over each other.
"Oh, Jesus! Are they hurt?"
"What if they're dangerous-"
They all speak over each other. One of the people bends down and looks at him. She glares at him, and she shines the flashlight in his eyes.
"He's safe. Go check the rest."
The others run off, presuming to do the same thing to the others.
"Tell Pip and Nichole to get the bandages... And get some buckets for their vomit."
She looks at him and his eyes. She doesn't give anything but a harsh glare at him.
"You must be really stupid to end up here, huh?"
"Welcome to the hotel."
(if anyone by chance sees this and wants more pls let me know i will GLADLY write more )

Patty Mullen in Frankenhooker (Frank Henenlotter, 1990)
Cast: James Lorinz, Patty Mullen, Joanne Ritchie, Paul-Felix Montez, Joseph Gonzalez, J.J. Clark, Gregory Martin, Carissa Channing, Shirl Bernheim, Hannah York, Helmar Augustus Cooper, Heather Hunter, Louise Lasser. Screenplay: Robert Martin, Frank Henenlotter. Cinematography: Robert M. Baldwin. Production design: Charles C. Bennett. Film editing: Kevin Tent. Music: Joe Renzetti.
Mary Shelley's monster -- by which I mean the novel, not the creature in it -- has undergone so many dismemberings and reassemblages over two centuries that I doubt she would recognize it today. I certainly don't want to speculate about what she would think of Frankenhooker, which carries the premise of reanimating the dead to its sleaziest extreme. When Jeffrey Franken's (James Lorinz) fiancée, Elizabeth Shelley (Patty Mullen), dies in an accident that leaves him only her head, he takes what he has learned in the med schools he flunked out of and the equipment he has "borrowed" from his job in an electrical power plant, and sets out to collect other body parts with a view to reconstructing and reviving her. He finds the parts he needs on the women walking the seedier streets of Manhattan. How he collects them and how the plan goes awry involves, among other things, some explosive crack cocaine and a vengeful pimp. Yes, the movie is in the worst possible taste, with something to offend almost anyone. The acting is atrocious and the special effects are, let's say, marginal. But it's also some kind of classic -- cult or camp or exploitation, you label it. I can only say that if you don't laugh out loud at least once, you may need to reanimate yourself.
