It’s time OC presentation time ! 

Since I got some ask about characters and I really need to develop them, I'm going to try (try is the keyword) to present you one oc every week. And I will save the oc people gave me for the last so they could send me more info if they get inspired !

So this week I present you... Kino Mirai !  

Writer comment about his development : Almost done, but i still need to work on him. 

His character in five words : Tired, Strict, Generous, Humble, Naive.

His quirk :  Kino can borrow the future self of anyone he sees. His body transforms and adapts up to a ten years version of anyone. He keeps his personality during the transformation and doesn’t know how the person he turned into became like that. When he transforms back, he often gets nightmares of all the possible futures of the person he turned into. He often had headaches too because of it.  

(The fact that he has to borrows the future version of someone else makes him very humble about his own skills).

Likes : Theater (he took drama class for years), walks (because it help getting your idea in order), and sleeping (because he rarely sleeps well and really, really like when he can get a good night sleep). 

Dislikes : People who doesn’t do their best and use false excuse to get away from their responsibilities or worst : blame other for their own mistakes. Liars. When people diminish other’s efforts. 

His family : His father is a pediatric nurse and has the quirk based on future vision type : he can see the potential of people. His mother is a journalist and her quirk is “Darwin body” meaning her body evolves and adapts to every dangerous environnement she is put into. He has a little sister who has their father’s quirk and a big brother who has their mother’s quirk. He is closer to his sibling because their parents work a lot and aren’t home very often and because their parents are very strict too. 

His parents are very strict,  in a sense of they hate seeing potential be wasted, so they expect a lot from their children. Laziness is unacceptable and they can be an hassle to live with because the father knows exactly what you’re capable of at your best. (As consequence, Kino is very well aware of what he could be at his best and is very angry at himself when he realizes that he didn’t do it) The mother is a little more soft on the side but she absolutely wants her children to be able to adapt every situation and be ready to face any problem they might face in the future, so she taught them how to be independent and reliable very quickly. 

His brother literally raised him more than their parents. But he’s a very sensible man with a kind heart. He dropped his university and still didn’t know what to do for a living which stress him a lot. Kino used his power on him so he could see that there was a bright future, stable future waiting for him. It helped. 

His little sister wants to become a teacher or a coach, or a funambulist. She doesn’t know yet. She really admires Kino and always wants to do the same as him, read the same things as him, like the same things as him...Which can be very tiring but make them share a lot of things/secrets together. 

Secret past : He had a delinquent phase right before going to UA because one of his middle school friend was in a turning point of her life and he didn’t want to let her face it alone. So he kind of made every mistake she made too. Though it ended well and gave him the idea to become a hero. 

Happiest memory : Every Sunday his parents are home and they have a family lunch before going out to theater, he often says he misses his “family Sunday” when he moves to the dorm. 

Saddest memory : When he was 12 he came back from school with an almost perfect grade on his latest test. He showed it to his father on Sunday, feeling very proud and his father sighed and said that his school wasn’t strict enough, that he could have done so much better. Since then it’s the most hated sentence of Kino “you could have done better”

Best friends : Kyouji Kamino is his best friend, because Kino can’t use his power on him. For a strange reason even if he sees him he can’t turn into any future version of Kyouji. At first he made friend with the boy because he was scared that something awful might happen to him (hence the reason he had no future) but soon grew attached to the boy. He finds refreshing not being able to know the boy’s future, because the only other person he can’t see turn into a future version is himself. It’s comforting to not be the only one. 

Makoto Gaijin, Riichi Daisuke, Yume Genjitsu and Saiya Meduri (because he was in the same block as them during the entrance exam and they teamed up. Since then they all developed a great admiration for each other. Besides Kino’s power permitted his friends to see that they could actually become greats heroes in the future). 

Get along well with : Reika (because she’s Yume’s sister) Kenya Monmen (because he’s soft and fluffy and make the perfect pillow), Yousuke Udebuki (because he’s big and soft and make the perfect pillow), Kohaku Risu (because she’s small and fluffy and she’s always with Kenya), Ryota Himaruyo (because he’s calm and composed), Tsubaki Chuzenji (because he’s quiet and they like the same music), Max Chandler (because his power is interesting for theater), Mahô Shindo (because she’s very dedicated and he admires that she always gives her all) and Satoru (because they’re very alike and think the same about villains : some must be saved by heroes too).

Doesn’t get along with : Ume Sumamoto (because he’s not fond of the flower scent she always has), Lazare (because he’s always sick and Kino doesn’t want to be sick) Hana and Takashi (because he doesn’t like being in the middle of family drama). Yule Makela (Because he doesn’t know what to think of her personality : does she really try her best or is she right about her incapacity to do well under pressure? he doesn’t know and doesn’t like either solution). 

Crush on : No one in particular. He does find some girls attractive in the class but that never went more than a physical appreciation or a mental closeness. He’s not in a rush to find a girlfriend so he doesn’t care. If you ask him who’s the prettiest girl he would put Arya in the first place. He would put Lazare as the most handsome boy in the class, even if he doesn’t like him very much. 

Conclusion about his relationship in class : He’s a bit of social butterfly and get along with almost everyone, and even when he doesn’t like someone the reason for it isn’t strong enough to make him be nasty with them. He’s more close to boys, but he can makes friends with girls without facing any problem. Everyone that are not listed, Kino has just no opinion on them., neither good or bad. 

-Evaluation of his teacher All might-

Potential as a hero : His quirk is very useful, as he can be used as much for gathering info, fight and comfort people. He will be a great addition to the hero team in the future. 

Weak points : 1 ) Kino’s ambition to become a hero started of late, so his body is not well trained. He has a lot to do to be able to stand on the same ground as his other classmates on the physical level. It’s not because he borrows people’s future version that he has to forget about himself! He’s the one who is aiming to become a hero after all ! 2) When he fights in a borrowed form, he has to learn about the other’s power and ability as he fought, which puts him at disadvantage : Mahô has beaten him during the first year tournament thank to that, because even if he turned into a better version of herself, she knew how to use her power as the best and trained with it way longer than Kino ever had. 

Strong points : Kino is a good actor, as he took dramatical class, and he’s very composed on the field. He’s a emotional pillar to anyone around him. 

Commentary : During the entrance exams he showed great skills to save people around him and comfort them, art the same time that he did the trial. That’s a very rare asset and unmistakable skill of a future hero! 

So who do you want to meet next ? =)

Day 664 - Monmen | モンメン | Cottonee

Monmen fly about in the air, high amongst the clouds. They befriend Haneko that fly by during their journey. Nobody really knows where they're going, and the Monmen don't really care. They are light enough to sleep on clouds.
