About time I get back into creating content for my LMK "Fire, Ice and Bone"-AU!

So, let's start easy, with character design! ^^

After what feels like forever, my little picture wall, with the comissioned drawings from @winterpower98 , is finally complete! :3

Been way to long since I posted any FIB-AU content, so let's start the new year with Jin's character design! ^^

Dude needed to get out of that borrowed sweater after joining Mk's crew. Mei helped him with a shopping trip xD

(This won’t be the last time his designs changes over the course of the AU :3)

Finally, I finished Mk's design for my "Fire, Ice and Bone"-AU! XD (I just BARELY managed to squeez enough color out of my "Milky White" marker, after putting it into nail polish remover, becouse I didn't have rubbing alcohol >.<)

Mk's clothe develop over the AU to represent his teachers, and his necklace his friends.

The jacket is the first thing to change, representing Wukong and Macaque. (I plan on making a mini comic for it, but the jackets improvements are curtesy of the artsy clone xD)

The necklace is something Mk get's in my fic "Pendant", as a gift from Mei and Red Son.

And roughly around the halfway point of Mk's and LBD's "truce", is when he kind of subcounciously starts seeing her as a teacher as well, leading to him picking up the cloud patterned T-Shirt.

Not gona lie, I thought this design would turn out to be a disaster. I was 70% sure the colors yellow, purple, blue, white AND red wouldn't go well together. Plus so many patterns! I was scared it would be to cluttered! >.< So, I'm positively suprised that it turned out looking really good after all! :3 (I might shift the pendants brown to a lighter brown though, just so the design on it shows better)

I finally made the sketch for Mk's "starter" design in my FIB-AU! ^^

I keept telling my followers on Instagram that I would get the sketch before the month ends, so I'm kinda proud that I actually managed to get it done xD

I gues coloring it will be my project for next month xD

Some of the design elements will make more sense when it is colored, and I will go into explaining them once I post the finished product ^^

Mk is, just like Jin, one of the characters who's design will change a bit during the Au. The jacket will stay the same, once he get's it (I plan a mini comic for that xD), the necklace becomes part of his design for everything that happens after "Pendant" , and he will get a new shirt later in the AU, which I might or might nor show when I post the colored version of this. ^^

I honestly hadn't thought of LBD beeing in the pagoda, till you brought it up.

For now though, I think she won't be.

Don't get me wrong! By the time season 5 rolles around, she DOES like MK! Just not enough to fo to jail for him without beeing absolutely sure they will get out again xD

She's more of the...level headed, stategical thinker in the group. So if she is around when the others get trapped, I think the idea of them all beeing trapped in there would be pretty stupid to her. "Someone should stay outside, in case of an emergency, to potentially free the others", sort of reasoning.

She will definitely be there when shit goes down against the nine headed demon though.

I was considering that maybe, while team MK is searching for the stones, team LBD could instead be investigating who is pulling the strings.

But those are just rough ideas for now xD

This is all technically spoilers for my FIB AU, since season 5 won't matter for a LONG time, but I'm not about to pass up an oportunity to share my ideas with someone, especially if that someone is the creator of my favorite monkie kid AU! XD

The part that has raised my biggest interest so far, was the LBD halucination during the 100 eyed demon episode.

Since LBD in my AU is still around and has a truce with MK, and later even becomes his mentor, that scene will become quiet interesting.

My idea is to have the sceen with LBD start out the way it did in the episode. But than the memory of past-LBD get's interupted by a memory of present-LBD. A way of MK's subconcious to aid him, and show him a possible way out of this situation.

In my AU, MK doesn't get the reinforcement of having to sacrefice himself, he breaks free of the 100 eyed demons controle on his own before the demon can drag that memory up, using a method that LBD has thought him in the past.

I actually even drafted a dialouge blue print, for whenever that stuff actually becomes relevant in my AU xD

Over all I think I'm gona make MK more stable during my AU's version of season 5? With LBD as a third mentor at his side, he has someone who matter-of-factly keeps reminding him that he beat destiny before, and that self sacrifice is stupid. "I thought you better than this" sort of way.

In contrast to making MK more stable, I totaly plan on bringing Bei He more into my AU, and give her a total mental breakdown over receiving ice powers after the stones where split xD

Contrary to MK, she still isn't on particularly good terms with LBD, and fears the demon, even after LBD "joining" the "good side".

But that's pretty much all the ideas I have so far ^^

Oooohhh, that is interesting!

I love that MK breaks out of the hallucination by himself, shows how much he has improved.

My question is LBD going to be there in the pagoda when that happens? Because if she is that would give you another interesting interaction

But also, poor Bai He cannot catch a break XD

It was a remarkably ordinary day at Pigsys Noodles, considering the world nearly ended not to long ago. Pigsy wouldn’t have minded if the day had continued and ended as calm and predictable as it had started. There was a sort of comfort in this sort of calming routine every now and then. But the entrance of a misterious, odly familiar, young adult takes the day into an unexpected new direction.

I normaly don't draw backgrounds, but for this one it was kind of a must. And I gota say, I'm quiet happy with how the cover turned out! ^^

The fic itself gave me some trouble... I alredy had it almost finished last year, when my external harddrive died and locked me out of it... Needless to say, I didn't have much motivation to write it all again and held on to the hope to just somehow get my old progress back. Ultimately I decidet to swallow the bitter pill, and finished it after all.

Presenting: the so far secound big fic in my AU! :3 

This time, Jin and Yin take center stage in

“Offer to Silver and Gold”

Rumors travel fast. And the rumors of a certain someone searching for magical artifacts is enough to motivate the twins to search through the chaos in their workshop, to find the broken pieces of one of their failed inventions. If said pieces where to fall into the wrong hands, it surely would mean nothing good for them. Or anyone, probably. Unexpectadly however, Jin and Yin suddenly find themselfe at the mercy of an intruder. And even more unexpactadly, faced with an offer...

And this time, making the cover after finishing the fic took me "only" 17 days! xD

I finished the fic on April 20th, minus some wording fixes I made later, and finished the drawing yesterday night! :3

FIB-Au x Cursed AU Crossover! 

Fun little idea I had of what would happen if my “Fire, Ice and Bone” AU twins would meet their counterparts from @winterpower98​ ‘s “Cursed AU”! :3

As I kind of explained in THIS post, Jin and Yin kind of had a falling out in my AU. While Yin joined LBD’s side, Jin joined MK’s side, where he got promptly picked up by Mei and became friends with her. Now Yin thinks his brother replaced him. 

Meanwhile, Cursed AU Jin and Yin alredy are done and over with this sort of thing xD Having sorted out all possible “You stole my brother” acusations in “Sibling Fight”.

Sooo, needles to say, FIB!Yin wouldn’t be to happy to see that even in other universes Jin “replaced” him with the dragon girl. Meanwhile Cursed!Yin would try using his own experience with that to reasure FIB!Jin.

Other funny random detail:

In my AU, Jin and Yin are just barely halfe a head taller than Mei and Mk. Meaning by implication, this would also make them roughly a head shorter than their Cursed AU counterparts! Which I just find kind of hilarious? It gives them “little siblings” vibes if put next to the Cursed Au twins! xD

Mk realices that he can't defeat LBD. Their powers are matched, and if they continue like this, neather of them will walk away as a winner. They will take each other out. Finding himselfe suddenly face to face with the bone spirit, Mk decides to entertain a gamble, and makes the demon an offer.

I had this fic lying around, FINISHED, for a MONTH! All becouse I wanted to draw cover art for it before publishing it, so I could properly share it on insta and tumblr! >.< And this drawing gave me more trouble that it had any right too! I had such a hard time with the poses! But hey! At least it turned out great in the end! XD

I’m starting to work out Mei’s design for my “Fire, Ice and Bone” AU.

One detail I alredy knew I wanted to incorporate, was a batch on her shoulder displaying the Samadhi Fire symbol, since she is now the official wealder of the fire. Something I first came up with in my story “Pendant”. (She got the idea from Red Son wearing the symbol on the back of his jacket.) 

In that story, I also mentioned that MK was the one who helped her design the batch.This mini comic is a look into their “design process”, where they would simply use one of MK’s work breaks at Pigsy’s to talk about ideas ^^

Context behind the drawings:

Roughly halfway down the line of their one year truce, team Mk and team LBD start getting more friendly with each other.

Mk in particular subcounciously starts sering LBD as another mentor figure, bringing his mentor count to a solid 3. And even though LBD wouldn't admit it to anyone besides her most loyal servant, she too has started to grow quiet fond of the monkey boy.

Speaking of monkeys! Grooming is an important part of bonding between monkeys, so it's no suprise that Wukong ocationally tries to clean up Mk's hair after some more chaotic training seassons leav it quiet disturbed. However, it is often Macaque who has to ACTUALLY fix the kids hair, sincec the king aparantly sucks at it.

Taking a page out of his teachers book, Mk himself starts practicing grooming with the little monkeys on the mountain. They quickly take a liking to it.

It happens almost naturaly that LBD starts combing Mk's hair as a sort of morning ritual whenever she happens to be early at Pigsys Noodles, or whenever Mk happens to fall asleep at her teams layer. She knows what the kid is, after all, and the social role grooming plays for his kind. And some quiet bonding time never hurt, even if their truce is only fleeting.... perhaps she is growing to attached after all....

And now that the lore is out of the way, I will gush over my favorite details in this comission! XD

So, first of, the first drawing with LBD! An absolutely stunning drawing!

Winters poses never disapoint, and the drawing turned out so much more dynamic than I had expected!

The full background was a positive suprise as well! I didn't expect her to go this detailee for "just" a doodle comission!

In fact, I like this drawing so much, that I printed it out and put it on my wall xD

I plan on getting the other ones printed out an hung up as well, but I first need to decide how I want to do that :3

My secound favorite is the drawing with the little monkeys! I'm suprised how much I like it, considering it was low key an after thought to get to the minimum 4 doodles required for the comission xD

But it turned out so cute! It just makes me really happy and makes me smile :3

Especially this little guy! He stands there like a tiny pitbull that doesn't know what is going on! XD Just look at him!

The third and forth drawing are a pair, and almost like a two panel mini comic!

I love how expressive all the expressions are, and the energy the drawings give off! Also verry much in character! I öove Wukongs pouting as Macaque berates him for doing a shitty job with Mk's hair xD

They also inspired me to write another one shot fic! :3

One more to add to my "want to write" list, and one more you guys can look forward to! XD
