The Death Flower/ Black Rose Gender System (Blackroseic)

This is a system based off of different flowers connected to the concept of death.

Blackroseic - a gender based on black roses and death. On the traditional tarot card for death, a white rose represents new beginnings. Conversely, a black rose represents endings. It is the umbrella term for all the other genders.

Spiderlillyic - a gender based on the spiderlilly and the moment life ends (dying). Native throughout Asia, they represent final goodbyes.

Marigoldic - a gender based on marigolds and spirits. Marigolds are often placed at Día de los Muertos altars, where their strong scent and bright colours are believed to guide the spirits. They represent the fragility of life.

Chrysanthemumic (or mumic) - a gender based on chrysanthemums (mums) and mourning. In many European countries, they symbolise death and mourning and are traditionally used in funeral arrangements and on memorials.

Aconiteic - a gender based on wolvesbane (aconite) and danger. In floriography, wolvesbane represents a warning that danger lies ahead.
