NK is probably aware of the Lych Soul Freeplay bug.

For those unaware, ever since Update 31.2 (May 6, 2022), Lych's Soul, which spawns every time a skull threshold is reached, inexplicably has Freeplay scaling, which makes it much faster and healthier than it should be. If you played Lych when it appeared on Scrapyard, you may have noticed that Tier 4 and 5 are much harder than it should be.

A quick explanation about Freeplay scaling, every round past 81 increases Bloon speed, Ceramic health, MOAB speed, and health by a certain amount. (And cash per pop but that's not relevant.)

Keep reading for an explanation of why this is difficult, as well a my experience with the recent Lych event on Cubism, Easy Reverse

According to the wiki, this is what the health and speed ramping should look like.

Rounds 81-100 :

MOAB class bloons' health now increase by 2% every round. (r81 : x1.02, r100 : x1.4).

Every bloons' speed now increase by 2% every round. (r81 : x1.02, r100 : x1.4).

Rounds 101+ :

MOAB class bloons' health now increase by 5% every round. (r101 : x1.45, r124 : x2.6).

Every bloons' speed jumps by an extra 18%. (r101 : x1.6, r150 : x2.58).

I can't pinpoint the exact speed value by Round 120, especially since its not linear like how Health scaling is, but just imagine this makes the Lych Soul a DDT Boss, with nearly double than intended speed.

I can show you the exact health Tier 4 and Tier 5 get though. It's not noticeable on Normal when Health values are so low, but Elite makes it very problematic.

The base health of Tier 4 Elite Lych Soul is 100,000. Freeplay Health scaling by round 100 is 1.4x. 100,000 x 140% = 140,000.

The base health of Tier 5 Elite Lych Soul is 485,000. Freeplay Health scaling by round 120 is 2.4x. 485,000 x 240% = 1,164,000.

1 million fucking health, with the speed of a DDT that will drain 27 lives from you every 4 seconds while it's alive. What the fuck. For reference, Tier 4 Normal Bloonarius has 750,000 Health and is incredibly slow.

So, why am I bringing this up? The first week of Lych that was affected by this bug was on the newest beginner map, Scrapyard, on Medium Standard, with no restrictions as far as I remember. This map wasn't very farm-friendly with the lack of space, no water, and not enough space for a 10+ farm Monkeyopolis setup. You usually didn't have enough money to afford enough defense for Tier 5 nor could you make enough money for it.

This recent week of Lych was on another beginner map, Cubism, on Easy Reverse, with some hero restrictions. This map is VERY farm-friendly with an accessible 12+ farm Monkeyopolis setup, enough space for ~17 Merchantmen, AND on the easy difficulty, so everything was much cheaper and you could build money faster. Plus the only good hero pick for this week was Geraldo, who can make leveling Paragons extremely easy.

This was my final setup for beating Tier 5 Elite Lych, nearly 4-5 million dollars worth, all 4 paragons being degree 40+ (with the exception of Glaive Dominus being 60+ cuz I love them), a max VTSG with a temple buff, a fuck-ton of Spike Storms and the appropriate debuff towers, and it STILL wasn't enough to kill the Lych Soul within 4 seconds (1 life drain tick)

Even when Lych reached a skull threshold near the bottom of the map, where the 5xx Super Mines is, the Soul would run all the way next to my Boat Paragon, around the top triangular pool of water. It's kind of absurd how fast it goes, being able to drain lives like twice, even though I have over 1100 lives lmao.

Of course, I make it sound easy, but I'm an absolute sweat, this bug could make Lych Tiers 4 and 5 MUCH harder for someone less experienced than me, and that's what I'm worried about with this bug honestly.

NK making this week on a very easy map, on the lowest difficulty for slow Bloons and cheap prices make me wonder if they're compensating for the bug's existence.

i confirmed that it's possible to get a 7-farm monkeyopolis merge if you place them all right, dunno where else you can do that. so much fuckin space for farms i got two 50-60 level paragons and a vtsg.
