Vicenza, La Bertoliana omaggia il premio Nobel Seamus Heaney a 10 anni dalla sua scomparsa Ricorre quest'anno il decennale della scomparsa del poeta nordirlandese Seamus Heaney (1930-2013), premio Nobel per la letteratura nel 1995. Per l'occasione la Biblioteca civica Bertoliana, con Rossella Pretto e Monica Centanni, propone giovedì 30 novembre, alle 18 nella sala Dalla Pozza di Palazzo Cordellina, la presentazione del libro "Speranza e storia. Le quattro versioni sofoclee" di Heaney, a cura di Sonzogni, Guzzo, Pretto, Zanetti (Il Convivio Editore, 2022). La Bertoliana - con la Fondazione Pordenonelegge.it, il Centro culturale di Milano e l'Università di Catania - partecipa infatti al progetto "Le pietre parlano - Heaney e l'Italia", ideato e curato da Francesco Napoli e Rossella Pretto per ripercorrere e riflettere sulla grande attualità della poesia di Heaney e sul suo pensiero letterario e linguistico, tenuto conto del forte legame del poeta irlandese con l'Italia, derivato in particolare dallo studio di Dante, Virgilio e Giovanni Pascoli. "Speranza e storia" raccoglie per la prima volta in traduzione italiana tutte le versioni sofoclee di Seamus Heaney. Le riscritture integrali del "Filottete. La cura a Troia" (1990) e dell' "Antigone. La sepoltura a Tebe" (2004) sono accompagnate da un passo dell'"Edipo a Colono. Quanto accadde a Colono" (2004) e da un passo dell'"Aiace. Testimonianza: il caso di Aiace" (2004). Queste versioni documentano due aspetti fondamentali della poetica del premio Nobel: quello della traduzione letteraria come spazio "originale" per arricchire la propria scrittura e quello della rilettura dei classici come spazio "ideale" per riflettere e far riflettere sulla natura umana tra passato, presente e futuro. Rossella Pretto è poetessa, traduttrice e redattrice di riviste letterarie. Il suo primo poemetto, "Nerotonia", ispirato al Macbeth, è uscito nel 2020 (Samuele Editore). Con Marco Sonzogni ha curato "Memorial di Alice Oswald" (Archinto, 2020) e "Speranza e Storia. Le quattro versioni sofoclee di Seamus Heaney" (Il Convivio Editore, 2022). Ha curato inoltre "La Terra desolata" di T.S. Eliot per la riedizione della traduzione di Elio Chinol (InternoPoesia, 2022). Suoi articoli sono apparsi su "Alias-Il Manifesto", "Poesia", "L'Ottavo", "Journal of Italian Translation", "Studi Cattolici" e "L'Estroverso". Monica Centanni, filologa classica, grecista e accademiaca olimpica, insegna Lingua e letteratura greca all'Università Iuav di Venezia. È studiosa del teatro antico (drammaturgia, strutture, funzione politica della tragedia greca; riprese del dramma classico nel Novecento), di civiltà tardo antica (il romanzo ellenistico e il passaggio tra paganesimo e cristianesimo), di storia della tradizione classica nella cultura artistica e letteraria, dall'antico al contemporaneo. The film opened the Mardi Gras Film Festival and is set for another showing at Brisbane Queer Film Festival. Following Ellie and Abbie as they prepare for year 12 formal (Australian prom), the film was created by Monica Zanetti to be a family-friendly lesbian romance. The Shakedown documentary tells the story of pop-up lesbian strip clubs that existed Los Angeles in the 2000s. I genuinely never thought I’d be writing these words, but the film will be available on both PornHub and Criterion. The film represents the underground, Black lesbian owned and operated eponymous strip club and the Shakedown Angels who were the club’s performers. This unique documentary promises to be enlightening. Gina Torres will play a vampire queen in Brides, a Dracula reimagining on ABC. Torres plays one of the three wives of Dracula—a former queen turned vampire turned vampire real estate tycoon—but the wives seem to have moved on from their powerful ex in favor of their non-traditional family.
