Money Heist: JEA shone most when it focused on the Korean aspects of the show and I wish it had been more of a focus in the first half. The characters were all interesting (and less misogynistic than the OG!) but didn't get enough attention imo. I really liked the hostages too, how they were actually resourceful as a group and tried to look out for each other.

Money Heist: Korea: Joint Economic Area. 종이의 집: 공동경제구역. 7.7/10
I wouldn't recommend this drama to my friends. I wouldn't rewatch this drama.
The way Moo Hyuk smokes is so unattractive. Jo Young Min is giving me Train to Busan's Yon Suk. I don't love Rio.
The way the uniforms look is so cool when we get into various formations, especially outside. Wow the mask change was genius. Miseon, you're too lovely to be with these men. Tokyo is so cool, especially with that machine gun. I also love how easily she utilizes her gun with such confidence. Bro, Seoul is so cool too and like great addition of another baller woman. I love how elaborate all this planning is. It was pretty crazy by the end. We write these kind of schemes for a tv show but I wonder what kinda planning is going on in the real world.
Bro, Misun's gunshot wound is gnarly.
Can you believe Denver and Miseon are having sex in this situation and without really being clean and also being so wounded?
This poor generational Stockholm Syndrome situation. I cried at Moscow's death.

A little remake of that bowtie scene in the Casa de Papel. I guess they are in the monastere, preparing to go somewhere for dinner :D let's hope no one would have the misfortune to make the acquaintance of a fork.
And there it is, @the--sound--of--rain, @justanerdalltheway, @natures-marvel ! I hope you won't mind me tagging you on that, but you did seemed the most interested in my last post about them- and I'm kinda aiming to get you on that ship too :D

Panic. That was all I felt when I found out my dad had been shot. Denver said that he was still alive, which was good, but just by looking at him, I could tell that he wasn’t going to make it. No matter how quick Denver tried to dig. Though, if it made him feel better, I wouldn’t stop him.
I sat beside the couch that my dad was laying on, holding his hand as he tried to relax at least a little bit. Rio tried to bandage up the wound as much as possible, and I knew he was trying to help, but I think we all knew that it was too late. Everyone except for Denver.
“Papa, is it scary?’ I asked, and it took him a second to think about it, before he finally answered.
“No, I’m not scared. You shouldn’t be either” He answered, and I hummed, his words not really making me feel any less unsure. I didn’t want to cry in front of him, or in front of Misun, who was keeping an eye on us. Though, I honestly didn’t feel like crying, I didn't really feel anything. I had never been an emotional person, not even as a kid. Dad always liked to say that Denver took my emotions, which is why he was so emotional.
“Rio is a nice boy” He muttered after a moment, and I groaned at his words. Rio and I had been together for a few months, way before we had begun the heist. We met at a club, and I didn’t exactly expect to have to make him meet my dad so soon, but we had all agreed to the professor's plan. I had no idea Rio would be there, but it was a nice surprise.
“Papa!” I complained, and he chuckled lightly, before letting out a pained wince.
“I’m serious. When you get out of here, you should get married” He started, and I rested my head on my knees, hiding my face in embarrassment. “Have a kid, name him after me” He continued, and I laughed at the idea. If that was what he wanted, then I couldn’t deny him that.
“Alright, papa. We’ll name our son after you” I said, turning towards him. Though, he wasn’t smiling like he had been the last time I looked at him. He had gotten a lot paler, and the pleading look in his eyes told me that it was time.
“Misun, get Denver now”
~~~
I didn’t know how to feel. Denver was screaming, which felt like the most reasonable response. I didn’t feel anything, and I didn’t know why. The only thing I could do was hold his hand, hold on until he couldn’t grip my hand anymore. And when his grip softened, I knew he was gone. My dad’s hand had gotten colder. He was dead. That was when I knew I couldn’t bear it anymore, standing in a room with my dad’s corpse, I placed his hand down, and left. The only thing I knew I could do.
I felt bad, that I didn’t cry or scream, or do anything, like Denver did. I haven't had someone die before, not someone that I care so much about.
I found an empty room to sit in, one that I knew no one would come into. Unless they had been looking for me. I pulled my knees into my chest, resting my head on them as I traced the patterned carpet with my eyes.
WHen I heard the door open, I didn’t move, not really wanting to give away where I was. Though, when Rio sat down beside me, I sighed. Of course he would be the one to come and find me.
“Are you okay?” He asked, and I pondered it for a moment. Sure, if I had been a crying mess, it would have been a stupid question. But I wasn’t. Eventually I gave him a nod in response.
“Am I terrible? For not crying?” I muttered, and he shook his head. I took the chance to rest my head on his shoulder, reaching over to grab his hand and link our fingers together.
“Everyone grieves differently” He said, his thumb beginning to rub circles into the back of my hand.
“I don’t feel like I’m grieving at all” He hummed at my words, taking a second to think of what to say.
“It might come later” He said, and I nodded, trying my best to understand what he meant.
“He said that we should name our kid after him” I mention, and Rio’s face flares up with a blush that I had never seen before. His nervous expression made me laugh, which didn’t really feel appropriate for the situation.
“I mean, yeah…We could do that” He agreed, and I was surprised he agreed, but I’m glad that he did.
~~~
It had been a while since I had worn something other than that red jumpsuit. Although, the blue jumpsuit didn’t feel all that different. We were about to board the train that would take us out of Korea.
As we all boarded, the professor had been stopped by his investigator. It took him a second, but he still managed to board the train.
Although, even with everyone here, it still felt empty. The silence felt uncomfortable, and the sudden reminder that my dad wasn’t here made my eyes well up with tears. They flowed from my eyes with no signs of stopping.
Rio, of course, was the first to notice. “Oh, there it is…” He cooed, mostly to himself as I fell into him, sobbing Into his chest. “It’s alright. Let it all out” He whispered, tracing shapes onto my back with his fingers.
“He’s not here. We did all this and he’s not here to see it” I sobbed, my tears starting to stain Rio’s shirt as I cried on him.
“I know, baby. I know”

Your legs draped off the edge of the drained pool, beer clad in your hand as you droned out the laughter of those behind you. Everything up until this moment had all been fun and games, but now it was the real deal. Tomorrow was the official beginning of the heist and quite possibly the end of your life. Everyone was enjoying their last night of freedom, but you couldn’t bring yourself to celebrate. Bringing the bottle to your lips, you took a swig of the bitter drink. “Hey kid! Are you even old enough to drink?” Nairobi yelled from behind you, a drunken chuckle flying past her lips. Huffing, you rose to your feet with a grunt, flipping her off before strolling away.
The ghost of a smile crept onto your face as you arrived in front of a familiar door, knocking on it three times. “Fuck off Rio!” Tokyo yelled, her voice coming out muffled. “It’s just me,” you spoke, the door swinging open a few moments later. “What’s up?” She questioned, moving aside to let you in when you offered her a bottle of beer. Shutting the door behind you, she plopped down on the bed, offering you a place by her side. Silently taking a seat, you stared blankly at the window ahead, eyes trained on the stars. “Are you ready for tomorrow?” Tokyo asked, lightly patting your back before taking a swig of beer. Merely humming in response, you placed the bottle on the floor, anxiously fiddling with your fingers.
“What are you worried about?” She interrogated, placing her own drink down as she turned to face you. “Everything,” you mumbled, nerves getting the best of you as you picked at the skin of your fingers. “As long as everyone does their job, it’ll all be fine,” Tokyo assured, sending you a tight lipped smile. “How can you possibly know that?” You question incredulously, leg jumping up and down with unease. “Because I believe in the professor,” she spoke with conviction, resting her hand atop your thigh. Shaking your head rapidly in uncertainty, you began to spiral, each thought worse than the previous. “Hey,” Tokyo muttered gently, cupping your cheeks, forcing you to meet her stern gaze.
“You trust me, right?” The older girl asked, caressing your cheeks with the pads of her thumbs in hopes of comforting you. Nodding hesitantly as you stared into her chocolate orbs that swirled with sincerity, gulping at the close proximity of your faces. “Then believe me when I say everything will be okay,” she proposed, sending you a small smile. Sighing, you reluctantly nodded your head, expecting her to let go, but she only gazed deeper into your eyes. “Tokyo?” You questioned, voice unsteady as you caught sight of something unfamiliar dancing in her eyes. She hummed distractedly, gaze flickering down to your lips, and then back to your eyes. “Tokyo…” You trailed off as her face began to inch closer to yours experimentally, lips lingering just short of yours.
She groaned in frustration as several drunken knocks interrupted just before she could capture your lips. “What is it?” Tokyo grit out in annoyance, yanking the door open to meet Rio’s innocent smile. “Tokyo!!” He shouted in excitement, words slurred as he stumbled into the room. Tripping over his own feet, he fell into Tokyo, slumping against the poor girl as she held him up with a grunt. “Idiot,” the older girl shook her head in disappointment, flicking him on the forehead. Rio whined in pain, wrapping his arms around her as he drunkenly babbled about how great she was. “I’m gonna get some fresh air,” you mumbled, waving sarcastically before slipping away. “Wait!” Tokyo yelled after you, followed by a thud and a loud yelp, but you were already out the door.
Walking aimlessly through the halls of the large building, you ran a frustrated hand through your hair when you realised you’d left your drink behind. “Hey!” Tokyo shouted after you, her voice echoing throughout the corridor as she jogged to catch up. “Hey?” You muttered in confusion, wondering what had happened to the drunk boy that followed her everywhere. “Why’d you leave?” She questioned, chest rising and falling rhythmically as she caught her breath. “Um, you looked busy,” you responded lamely, avoiding her piercing gaze. An awkward tension arose between the two of you as your mind wandered to your previous interaction. You could tell she was thinking the same by the way her eyes unconsciously travelled to your lips.
“What did you do with Rio?” You asked in an attempt to rid yourselves of the painfully awkward tension. “He passed out with half his body on the floor and the other half on my bed, so I just left him there.” Tokyo responded with a careless shrug, chuckling as your expression morphed into one of surprise. “By the time you get back he will have already vomited on your bed,” you shuddered at the thought, face scrunched up in disgust. “Oh, I’m not going back,” she mentioned casually, the ghost of a smile creeping onto her face. “Huh? Then where will you sleep?” You tilted your head in confusion, brows furrowed as you stared at her. “With you,” Tokyo stated simply, a smirk tugging at her lips as coughed in shock. “Come on,” she urged with a playful smile, grabbing you by the wrist and dragging you back towards the plethora of rooms.
She tugged you into your room as if it were her own, letting go only to make herself comfortable on your single bed that was far too small for two people. “I can sleep on the floor if you’d like,” you offered, scratching the back of your neck in discomfort. “Get over here, idiot,” Tokyo grinned at your awkwardness, pulling you on to the bed. You landed with half your body atop hers, a grunt leaving your lips as you attempted to brace yourself. Your eyes were blown wide in shock as you stared down at her, blinking owlishly as smirked up at you. “Sorry,” you muttered apologetically, rolling off her to stare up at the ceiling. Your shoulder was pressed firmly against hers, crammed in together on the bed.
“Idiot,” Tokyo grumbled, roughly tugging you into her side, your head landing atop her chest. You tensed in her hold, tilting your head to stare up at her in surprise. “What?” She asked, raising a perfectly sculpted brow, tightening her grip on your waist. “Nothing,” you mumbled shyly, heat rushing to your cheeks as you dropped your head back to her chest. You whined at the feeling of her chest rumbling with laughter, burying your face into the crook of her neck in embarrassment. “Good night,” she whispered, a teasing grin spreading across her face. “Night,” you mumbled, eyes fluttering closed as you allowed yourself to succumb to sleep, far too comfortable in her arms for your own good.
~~
This wasn’t supposed to happen. No one was meant to die, everyone should’ve made it out alive, whether they were hostages or robbers. No lives should’ve been lost, but it had all gone horribly wrong. You paced anxiously through the halls, hands trembling by your sides. One of the hostages had been shot, you distinctly remembered the deafening bang that echoed throughout the establishment. Your heart thrashed wildly in your chest, eyes unblinking as your chest rose and fell rapidly. Flinching as a nearby door slammed shut, sounding far too similar to the gunshot that had ended someone's life mere minutes ago. Beginning to feel light headed, you braced yourself against the wall, squeezing your eyes tightly shut.
Your legs trembled, knees weakening significantly as you slid down the wall. Hearing your own gun clatter to the floor made your chest tighten, ear ringing as you pulled your knees up to your chest. Swallowing harshly as you gasped for air, feeling your throat begin to constrict. An innocent person had lost their life and you had played a part in their death. Tears streamed endlessly down your cheeks, sobs ripping from your throat as a vision of Misun’s lifeless face appeared in your mind. “Y/n!” Tokyo shouted in alarm upon finding you curled up in the hall, body rocking back and forwards. Crouching down beside you, she brushed the hair from your face, reaching down to grasp your hand on her own.
She didn’t care that you squeezed her hand so tight it hurt, she just needed you to know that she was there. Tokyo brought your other hand to her chest, letting you feel the steady rise and fall of her chest. Her forehead creased in a frown as another broken sob bubbled from your lips, eyes still held tightly shut. “Come on, let me see those pretty eyes,” she whispered, a proud, encouraging grin spreading across her face as your eyes hesitantly fluttered open. “Good girl, you’re doing great. Can you breathe with me?” Tokyo questioned as gently as possible, afraid that her voice may startle you. Blinking back the tears that blurred your vision, you nodded your head stiffly, feeling your lungs begin to burn.
“Just like that,” she smiled, releasing a sigh of relief as you began to calm down, sobs turning into small hiccups. She took your chin between her thumb and forefinger upon noticing your fearful gaze lock onto her gun, tilting your head to meet her gaze instead. “Everything’s gonna be okay,” she assured, sending you a tight lipped smile. “You think you can stand for me? I’ve got something to show you,” Tokyo mentioned, her unusually warm gaze bringing you an odd sense of comfort. You hummed with a reluctant nod, not trusting your voice enough to speak. “Here, I’ll help you,” she rose to her feet, offering you her hand. You let her pull you up with a firm tug, her arm snaking around your waist as a precaution.
You tried not to let your mind wander as she guided you through the complex corridors, focusing on the way her fingers pressed into your hip with a firmness that kept you grounded. “We’re here,” Tokyo whispered in your ear, breath tickling your skin. Lifting your gaze, you found yourself blinking in surprise at the sight of Denver standing before you. You gulped audibly upon catching a glimpse of the blood splatters that adorned his neck, stiffening in Tokyo’s hold. “It’s not what you think,” she assured, nodding her head towards the ajar door. Hesitantly peeking inside, a gasp of disbelief flew past your lips, there sat Misun, alive and breathing. “Are you sure she should be here?” Denver questioned, looking at the wounded girl in unease. “I trust her,” Tokyo stated, the ghost of a smile tugging at her lips as she glanced at you.
~~
Fuck, why did things keep going so awfully wrong? There was an agent inside and he planned on killing Tokyo. The mere thought had your stomach churning uncomfortably, lungs burning as you sprinted through the establishment. You didn’t have time to think about what the several gunshots that echoed throughout the building could mean for her life. Adrenaline fueled you to push harder, moving at a speed in which you never knew you could. Rounding the corner, you crashed straight into an unsuspecting person, toppling over and bringing them down with you. “Easy there,” a familiar voice spoke with a chuckle, your eyes wide as you gazed up at Tokyo. “You’re alive!” You cried out in relief, tackling her to the ground in a hug.
“Not for long if you keep squeezing me so tightly,” she coughed, shooting you an amused grin as you retracted yourself from her. “Sorry,” you muttered, eyes searching her body for any sustained injuries. “I’m fine,” Tokyo huffed, but you ignored her, frowning deeply upon catching sight of a dark red patch of blood on her shirt. “It’s not mine,” she assured, reaching out to grasp your hand. “You promise you’re not hurt?” You asked, eyes swirling with concern. “I promise, I’m not easy to kill,” she smirked, panicking as your eyes turned glassy. “Don’t even joke about that! I thought you were dead,” you sniffled, glaring up at her. “I couldn’t leave you,” she teased, patting your head with an affectionate smile as you clung onto her for dear life.
~~
You stared at the scene before you with wide eyes, watching as Berlin began to push Tokyo towards the open door. Parting your lips to take the claim you were the traitor, the words dying on the tip of your tongue as Nairobi jumped in front of them in a panic. “I’m the traitor,” she announced, a breath of relief slipping past your lips as everything came screeching to a halt. The matter was resolved in mere moments, but nothing was ever that easy when it came to the heist. Your brows furrowed in confusion as Tokyo revealed her plan to leave was still in motion, your head cocked to the side as she spoke to the group. Gnawing on the inside of your cheek as you watched a look of reluctance crossed her features, gaze conflicted as she continued. You knew it was important to get in contact with the professor, but you just wished it didn’t have to be her.
Reaching out to tug on her arm, you discreetly tugged her away from the scene for a brief moment. “You’re really leaving?” You asked, knowing it was a stupid question. Tokyo hummed in affirmation, shoulders tense as she glanced at the door in unease. “You promised everything would be okay,” you whispered, voice breaking mid-sentence. “And it will be,” she spoke with conviction, unsure as to who she was trying to convince. “I believe you,” you muttered, eyes filling with unshed tears as you allowed yourself to pretend that it was all fine for a brief moment. “I’ll come back for you, I promise,” she said, glancing down to your joined hands, lacing your fingers together.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” you responded with a sad smile, letting the tears freely cascade down your cheeks. “I mean it. I’m not leaving you, not now, not ever.” Tokyo promised, her chocolate brown orbs that swirled with sincerity leaving you no choice but to believe her. “I’ll hold you to that,” you pointed an accusatory finger at her. “I’ll kill you myself if you don’t make it back,” you sniffled, a watery chuckle leaving your parted pink lips that she wanted nothing more than to kiss. “I guess this is goodbye,” Tokyo mumbled, squeezing your hand gently before reluctantly letting it go. “Don’t take too long,” you demanded, leaning up to press a lingering kiss to her cheek that felt painfully final. She blinked in surprise, nodding dumbly as a blush dusted her cheeks, desperately trying to remain stoic.
~~
You stared anxiously at Tokyo who stood stiffly in the hall, shoulders tensed and face blank. Nothing looked out of the ordinary, but you knew something was bothering the usually composed girl. Approaching her carefully, you offered her a small smile in hopes of easing her worries. “I’m glad you made it back safely,” you spoke, earning a distracted hum in response as she stared over your shoulder, refusing to meet your gaze. This definitely wasn’t the reunion you’d imagined, but everything about this heist so far had been unexpected, this was no different. “What are you thinking about?” You questioned with a frown, staring up at her in concern. “It’s not important right now,” she mumbled, tongue poking the inside of her cheek in mild annoyance.
“Are you worried about the new plan?” You asked, trying to meet her gaze, but to no avail. Huffing, she ran a hand through her hair in frustration as you continued to press her for answers. “Talk to me,” you pleaded, her jaw clenching in vexation. “Stop,” Tokyo muttered, hands curling into fists by her sides. “Look at me,” you begged, her harsh glare meeting your wide eyes. “I said stop,” she growled, taking a menacing step toward you. “Not until you tell me what’s wrong,” you shook your head in refusal, taking one step backwards for each step she forwards. “Everything’s fucking wrong!” She yelled, finally breaking as she backed you up against the cold wall with a painful thud.
“Oslo’s dead, Moscow’s dying, we have to be out of here in a day and the tunnel’s nowhere near finished!” She listed off every problem, eyes distant and filled with rage as she gripped your collar, keeping you pressed firmly against the wall. “Tokyo..” You trailed off with furrowed brows, trying to keep your composure. “You know why I’m so mad?” She snarled, grabbing your wrist as you attempted to push her away gently. “It’s because even when all that shit is going on, all I can fucking think about is you.” Tokyo yelled in frustration, lips twisted in a scowl as she tightened her grip on you in anger. “Tokyo, you’re hurting me,” you mumbled, but she ignored you, nails digging into your skin, leaving crescent shaped indents in her wake.
“I can’t stop thinking about how it could’ve been you that got shot and not Moscow. Fuck, I don’t know what I’d do with myself.” Tokyo gritted out, face hovering mere inches from yours. Gently prying her hand off your wrist, you reached up to cup her cheek, staring up into her chocolate orbs that swirled with uncertainty. You swallowed harshly as her gaze travelled to your mouth, licking her lips unconsciously. Rising to your tippy toes, you hesitantly began to lean closer, lips lingering just short of hers. Tokyo’s eyes were unfocussed as she gazed at you hungrily, lips barely brushing against yours before she jerked back. “Fuck,” she muttered, running her hands through her hair in distress.
“You distract me,” she admitted, eyes trained ahead thoughtfully, voice strained. You sucked your bottom lip between your teeth as she sent you a sideways glance. “I don’t have time for distractions,” Tokyo uttered with no ounce of emotion, eyes dull, her cold, piercing gaze sending a chill down your spine. She turned away before you could even begin to protest her claims, retreating down the corridor. Your eyes shined hopefully as she glanced over her shoulder, staring at you blankly. “Get back to work,” Tokyo ordered, shoving her hands into her pockets as she disappeared round the corner, leaving you hurt and confused, head spinning as thoughts raced through your head at a speed you couldn’t comprehend.
~~
Your mind was hazy throughout the rushed preparation, clouded with thoughts of Tokyo as you worked mindlessly. Catching yourself unconsciously bringing your fingers to your lips, remembering the feeling of her lips brushing against your before they were abruptly ripped away. Shaking your head in disapproval, you focused on the task at hand. Tokyo had made it abundantly clear that she wanted nothing to do with you, the thought leaving your heart aching painfully in your chest. The look in her eyes told you there was nothing you could do to convince her otherwise, so all you could do was obey her wishes. “You alright kid?” Nairobi approached you out of concern, placing a hand on your shoulder. Just as you parted your lips to dismiss her worries, the sound of repetitive gunfire halted you.
The two of you looked to each other with eyes wide in alarm, “they’re early,” you rushed out in a panic. You began running towards the sound without a second thought, Nairobi hot on your tail, increasing your pace upon hearing Rio’s screams of agony. Nothing could have prepared you for the sight of Tokyo laying deathly still in Rio’s arms as he cried out her name. Ignoring Nairobi’s shouts of protest, you rushed to her side, tears springing to your eyes as you desperately tried to shake her awake. Paying no mind to the faint sting in your side as shattered glass scattered all around you, Tokyo being your only concern. With a shaky hand, you pressed your fingers to her neck, struggling to find her pulse. A choked sob ripped from your lips as her eyes abruptly snapped open, Rio pulling her into a tight hug as her chest heaved up and down.
Meeting her gaze over his shoulder for a brief moment, your eyes glassy as she stared blankly at you. “Let’s hurry and get out of here,” she ordered, avoiding your gaze as her eyes swirled with guilt. “Tokyo..” You muttered, voice unsteady as you watched her with furrowed brows. Rising to her feet, she rushed to Nairobi’s aid, beginning to shoot back at the shielded men. Following her with a frown, you did the same. Perhaps once you got out of this place you would sit down and have a proper conversation, but that could wait for now. You shot blindly at the armed officers, disregarding the now searing pain in your abdomen, ducking down and covering your mouth as tear gas fogged your vision.
You stumbled through the gas, the now unbearable pain in your side almost brought you to your knees. “Come on,” Tokyo yelled, pulling you through the exit by your sleeve as you coughed. Sweat trickled down your unhealthily pale face, legs burning as you tried to keep up with the rest, barely making it to the safe. Your breaths were sharp and unsteady as you were ushered down the ladder, Tokyo following closely behind you as you staggered through the tunnel. Legs shaking unsteadily as you stumbled towards the professor, their exchange falling deaf in your ears as you kept your gaze firmly on Tokyo, afraid of what you might find if you looked down to your stomach. All you knew was that something was seriously wrong.
“Tokyo,” you uttered weakly, grasping her hand before she could jump into the water. “What is it?” She questioned harshly, whipping her head around to face you. Her brows furrowed in confusion as you collapsed against her, a firm grip on your hips kept you from falling. “I’m sorry,” you murmured, slumping in her hold as she looked down to you with wide eyes. “No no no,” she muttered in disbelief, shaking her head rapidly in refusal as her eyes travelled to the blood that seeped through your jumpsuit. Tokyo’s eyes blurred with tears as she gently lowered you to the ground, cradling your body in her arms. “How bad is it?” You asked, the older girl clenching her jaw as she swallowed a sob that threatened to bubble from her throat.
Assessing your wound with a frown, she glanced back at you with her bottom lips sucked between her teeth. “You’re gonna be fine, we’re both making it out of this alive.” She declared, nose twitching as she sniffled, a sad smile adorning your lips as she lied. “What will we do when we get out?” You asked, fighting to keep your eyes from fluttering shut as you exhaled sharply. Tokyo’s lips tugged upwards in a thoughtful smile as she gazed down at you with glassy eyes. “You always said you wanted to travel the world,” she reminisced, a grin spreading across your face as you recalled the night you’d stayed up all night talking about everything and anything. Humming in content, your eyes began to droop, the urge to succumb to ‘sleep’ becoming much harder to resist in Tokyo’s comforting hold.
“Why did it have to be you?” Tokyo finally broke, reaching down to brush the hair from your face, gently caressing your cheek with the pad of her thumb. “I’m sorry,” you apologised, forehead creasing in a frown. “I should be the one saying that,” she complained, blinking back unshed tears as your breaths began to quicken. “It doesn’t matter now. I already forgave you,” you replied, struggling to get the words out. “You should save your breath,” Tokyo ordered, a stray tear cascading down her cheeks. “We never stood a chance, did we?” You managed to stutter out, a deep frown plastered on her features. Your hand trembled as you reached up to swipe the tears from her cheeks, she leaned down to meet you halfway with a sniffle.
“We can still-” She stopped as your breaths became ragged, your hand dropping to your side limply. “Tokyo, I’m scared,” you confessed weakly, head lulling to the side as your fingers twitched. “It’s okay, I’m here,” she assured, reaching for your trembling hand, giving it a calming squeeze. Her heart clenched in her chest as you tried to return the gesture with a weak grip, tears freely flowing down her cheeks. “I know it’s bad timing-” you coughed, wincing in pain, eyes barely open. “But I think I love you,” you admitted with a watery chuckle, voice almost inaudible, but she heard you loud and clear. “I don’t expect you to-” you began, but she abruptly surged forwards, lips smashing against yours in a bruising kiss.
You finally allowed your eyes to flutter shut, faintly aware of the salty taste of your tears as her soft lips moved against yours. A blissful sigh escaped your parted lips as she deepened the kiss, her hands cupping your cheeks as she desperately tried to convey her feelings. “I love you too,” Tokyo whispered against your lips, forehead pressed to your as her eyes fluttered open. You remain unmoving, the hint of a content smile plastered on her sickly pale face. “Y/n?” She questioned, lips quivering as she stared down at your peaceful expression with eyes that shone with fresh tears. “Y/n?!” Tokyo cried out, shaking your shoulders in a desperate attempt to wake you. “No..” She muttered in disbelief, voice cracking as a sob ripped from her throat.
Nairobi and Helsinki approached her carefully, tears of their own threatening to fall. “We have to go,” the older woman muttered regretfully, looking down to your lifeless body with a frown. Helsinki reluctantly pulled Tokyo up from the ground, dragging her away from you as she thrashed in his grip. She didn’t care if she was being unreasonable, she promised she would never leave you, she wanted to stay by your side, heist be damned. “Can’t you do something?!” Tokyo pleaded with Rio, but he only shook his head gravely, unable to meet her pained gaze. “Y/n wouldn’t want this, she would have wanted you to live,” Nairobi said, but she couldn’t bring herself to care. Tokyo stared at you from afar, watching as you faded into the darkness as she was hauled further into the water.
“I don’t want to live without her,” Tokyo whispered weakly with teary eyes, a heart wrenching sob ripping from her throat.

Upcoming Oneshot Sneak peek
Pairing: Berlin (Song Jung-ho) x Reader
Fandom: Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area
“Do you want to go for a walk, baby? It’s a full moon night and it’s a beautiful island.”
She smiled up at me, looking at me with so much love and kindness that I could have melted into her arms. “Okay, let’s go,” she said, getting up and opening the door to our room. We put on our coats, I slipped a gun and a camera into my pockets and we left, hand in hand like a real couple. We were a real couple.
“A moonlight stroll… with a dangerous and dashing man…. In a rural area…. Nothing more romantic than this.”
“I’m dashing?” I asked, grinning as I etched her compliments into my memory.
“Now you’re just fetching for compliments.”
I laughed and looked away to hide my guilt. It was somehow hard for me to hide my emotions from her. Everything she made me feel showed up on my face. We walked together, holding hands and brushing against each other, talking all kinds of nonsense. Her features shone under the light of the moon and took me to a dreamland where I would have this every night of my life. All this freedom I had after escaping the concentration camp, escaping the law, I wanted to use up traveling the world with her. I wanted to walk the roads of Amsterdam, Cairo, Dubai, Toronto and more with her. I would take her to every part of the world, open her world up like she opened mine from the confines of her classroom.
I would also build a home with her. She would make a lot of choices, of course. I wasn’t the most experienced in living in a home. The first time I invited her to my bachelor pad, she was appalled at my choice of storage— a giant cardboard box where I stored everything from my clothes to my groceries. In an attempt to spend more time with her, I innocently asked her to go furniture shopping with me. I did not care about the furniture and had no idea how to choose them but spent good money buying them just to spend a day with her outside the classroom.

SPOILERS FOR MONEY HEIST: KOREA - JOINT ECONOMIC AREA
---
I just finished MH:K, and while there's so much to talk about, I gotta say, I'm still not over how interesting the dynamic is between The Professor and Berlin, given that Berlin is the little brother this time around? The way this little change in detail affected so much of the tone?
THEIR DYNAMIC LIVES RENT-FREE IN MY MIND AFAKSKSLAGAK IT'S SO INTERESTING

Go now! Leave me your gun. Just go on, okay? If you really insist on dying here, I'm not going to stop you. But I will too. I'm staying with you. I dragged you into this whole mess here. I'm really sorry. I never once regretted it.
