Felt like looking going over these in my chart and thought I'd share my interpretations. These are personal observations; if it doesn't apply, let it fly.

Also I am in love with Nairobi, I might rewatch Money Heist just for her tbh lol.

Alright so, who's ready for a cowboy au!!

General premise of it:

Gideon Coal is on the hunt for the hobgoblins that took his family away from him and has left him a permanent scar. With the help of a crew he hired, he'll finally seek his revenge.

All characters are their normal races just not their classes. So...Avantris that got hit with the western stick. Just so there's no confusion.

And they all have different nicknames but I haven't thought of much...still a work in progress.

Characters:

Gideon Coal:

•The leader who's fiery revenge is gonna make for a mighty risky plan.

•His outfit is like Orville Peck's if it was more chaotic and messy.

• (Thank you @obsidiancreates for this idea) He looks like a mess on purpose, since he's had too many people doubting him, might as well adapt to it. His guns doesn't look clean so people assume he's got no game and will get himself killed.

•His fine weapon of choice is his Pappy's trusty shotgun and a dingy revolver that was left behind when the hobgoblins invaded. He's a tank that likes to go head first and do as much damage. Although he's not fully advanced with the revolver, he gets the job done with it.

•He's a massive risk taker, getting into fights with the wrong people to get what he wants and a big shit stirrer whether it's flirting or sleeping with another man's girl or just pick pocketing from his winnings. If it's a risk, it's already worth it.

Kremy Lecroux :

•The proud owner of the Hungry Catfish after running away from his old employer. When he's not making sure the patrons of his bar aren't ripping each other to shreds or causing mayhem or doing finance, sometimes he likes to go down and give a show. Whether dancing or singing, he'll put on a show for his patrons.

•He's the only one not affected by the hobgoblins because he runs away whenever he's paranoid and feels like they are too close to his business or his life. But he knows too many stories.

•He can be a flirt but it never goes far because although he doesn't look like it, he's a fighter.

•He's the closest one that maybe has magic, however, it's all just a magic trick, smoke and mirrors as he performs.

•His performing outfit consists more of a regular button up, a corset, leather gloves, normal leather pants, and a big jacket. And his actual outfit is something I have to get drawing on. He does wear his makeup for each outfit, his performing outfit more of the typical voodoo paintings and then when he's out, it's a hand made skull mask he made.

•Weapons of choice would be his two ranger guns that sit on the lower back of him and his cane that doubles as a hidden sword because I do love me some hidden swords.

•You can make a deal with him, whether it's getting him for a heist or helping you get the money you need from a game, he's your man as long as you can pay him with as much as you got. (60 - 40 like he said)

Morning Frost:

•A working farm hand that got his knack for shooting things across the way when he had to quickly grab his mom's rifle and snipe a hobgoblin that was about to grab his friend. He got a few more shots in before the hobgoblins finally got away from his village. He was regarded as a hero and forced to learn the ways of the world pretty harshly. Now in the future, his knack for the rifle has landed him to be able to turn off his emotions in a pinch to get the job done, although it bleeds through when the going gets tough.

•His outfit, and this may be obscure, is going to be a sort of ref to Tigerclaw from the 2012 TMNT, just without the eye patch and adding a few more details to make it more cowboy aesthetic.

•His weapon of choice of course is his mom's trusty rifle that he cares for deeply and makes sure it's in tip top shape everyday.

•He's calculated, knowing risks and how dumb it would be to do something, but he's not above going in and sniping for a job if he desperately needs the money.

•He still lives in his village, now a protector of sorts and still practices his shooting to hone it even though he's already good, but good just isn't enough.

•He has 2 lockets around his neck that his mom and dad wore, each containing a faux gem that he feels represents them with a picture of each them. I will say the jewels later but I have to do my research on jewels.

Gricko Grimgrin and Hootsie T. Grimgrin:

•A man in the midst of woods and barely any civilization, Gricko lives for the hunt. With his daughter and trusty companion Hootsie, they scavenge all they can for their meals. Unlike the rest of the guys, they are so far into the woods, that they don't know any stories about hobgoblins nor have they even heard anything that sounds like a train. What is a train to them?

•Because of hunting, he's mastered the art of traps and the usefulness of materials. Everyday, he makes a new trap or stocks up on old ones, just to be ready. On his scavenging, he finds things that people who venture too close have and makes more of his weapons like makeshift bombs or fixing himself a knife as best as he can. Basically a wild man.

•Weapons of choice would be his makeshift bombs, think of Sokka's bomb from Avatar, and a janky knife he tried to make using bullets he found on a random corpse. It does it's job and that's all that matters to him. I am debating on whether or not to give him a gun, but I want to get everyone different guns. Still debating.

•Hootsie was going to be one of Gricko's marks, but Gricko does understand nature more than anything and took pity on the owlbear cub that lost its momma, and now he raises her as his own, inseparable. Now, she helps with scoping out prey and sniffing out when people are near.

And that's what I have so far! Hopefully I can fully get more of an idea for them and can get the map fully to really scope out how much these hobgolbins have fucked with everyone, but for now, take these disconnecting things. Torbek and Twig will be here as well, but I'm also trying to figure out their backstory and their roles in this without overlapping a bunch. The drawings I will have to add later because Gricko's and Frost is something I have to workshop. Especially Gricko because I want to make him a wild man but not a savage, anyone catch what I'm putting down, you know. If not it's fine, but I just have to think of his outfit. Anyway Enjoy!

Micah Bell Modern AU head-canons:

These are based on what I like to imagine him in the modern universe!.

Micah would most likely have a black shiny cruiser motorcycle, with a leather beige seat. He would most definitely have the same aesthetic of clothing in the modern verse, black leather jackets and red shirts, sunglasses, same blond hair blowing in the wind and same mustache etc etc.

Oh and don’t forget about the red truck, it would be new, red and shiny. Most likely paid fully in cash, his small home would be far away from society and civilization, it would have big glass windows, the interior of the home would have black leather couches against wooden floors and walls. A small bar in the house as well. Like I said before in another post, this man likes novelties.

Micah would most likely be somewhat well off, he would still be an outlaw no doubt, but I always see modern au headcanons about him, with statements such as him living in a trailer. Which can be true yes, but the way I see it, that it would be true, for his grandfather. And if his grandfather was the one that started all of this, then that means it would be a family business, in the art of theft and being a hitman. Those two things are different in the 21st century than in the 19th century. There are more ways to be an outlaw, a gang existing today would have more resources, more opportunities at stealing and theft. His grandfather most likely worked it from the ground until he made it to the top, and passed the torch to his son, and then on to Micah. Plus, we’re talking about a hitman in the 21st century, they make money.

Used to live in California but moved because of his brother, Amos, leaving the family business. This made him feel more isolated. So he started to look for gangs to join, etc etc.

If he joined the van der linde gang, he would most likely be wary of them and won’t tell anyone about his past, only acting as some informant. Maybe participating in one or two bank heists with them. He would probably bring in more information to them than the other gang members could do, given his better resources. Then he would quickly climb up the ladder and have Dutch’s ear, saying that he’s been in this business far longer than anyone has in the gang and that he knows better. And you know how that goes.

The Royal Casablanca was not just a mere simple Casino—which thankfully isn't located in meek old boring Viva Las Vegas, wouldn't have fit the aesthetics—but it's The Casino of all Casinos—located on a ship, the ship itself being the establishment—for the high society of the world's wealthiest people.

Royal Casablanca, nicknamed Royal Bianca for short sayings, is a highlight for every Gambler—and auctioneers, who love to present their antiques—from past decades all the way to jewels of the modern era—you name it, they bring it, you pay and if you can't pay, well in simple terms; your life is not worth of living anymore—an thrill of excitement and ecstasy like experience.

So when Danny had knocked on your hotelroom—in the early hours of lunch, after yesterday's failed attempt of a heist to pay Mister Benedict back and you're still pissed at Danny and Rusty for that, because now you're on his hit-list too—greeting you joyfully, with a tight hug and ruffling your hair, stepping inside—amused at your husband, who eats a stack of pancakes, like the glutton he is—you were surprised when Danny said, he wanted to gather the team for another heist.

You're even more surprised, interest highly piqued though, when Danny mentioned the Royal Casablanca.

The guys, besides Reuben, looked only mildly confused—save for Linus, he had yet again no clue what's going on—with the mention of the name and you couldn't help yourself but to chortle out laugh.

»Could someone please explain what joke I missed?«

»Oh Linus, bless you, but Danny and Rus really needs to teach you some basics of the Casino and Gambling world« you said, getting up from the couch and standing next your brother now.

Linus didn't mention it, holding his tongue, how—in a way—unsettling it was for him—how fast you had changed personality by the mention of a mere Casino. Had you gone from bystander husband—who knows about the little hobby of illegally, like Tess—to professional informant within seconds.

And informations about Royal Casablanca you had.

»Gentleman's, when Monaco the Royal Palace of gambling is, than is Royal Casablanca the Crown itself,« you begun, starting—full in your element—to explain why this Casino is such a grand event of highlight.

From Europe, to Africa and all the way to Arabian and Asian east, the Casino would anchor at a specific location of country and stay there for maximum three nights, before it sail's away towards the next destination.

Since they have their own special bank inside the ship, the security is high but not high enough; which means, if played right, you can—in a metaphorical sense—rob it without being caught.

»Wait, how's that even possible?«

»Royal Bianca belongs technically to Monaco, in any of these three nights they make enough money—explosive enough—that if you might win a longer round of games in there and getting one of the grand jackpots and leave, it wouldn't hurt them.«

»So, hypothetically speaking, if one of use wins—although this time, truthfully without any tricks—let's say, 500.000.000 Billions, it's legally ours.« adds Danny and the others shrieked in shock.

»How's such a sum, in legal terms ours? What the hell is Royal Casablanca?! The devils home?«

»Nah, it's not the Devil's home, I would know—was there for years, although people say, it's also located in Ohio and somewhere else—but anyways. No, the reason why is; if you win, doesn't matter what sum, it's all yours. A wins a win, those are one of the few rules in there.«

»And who of us will be the lucky guy?«

»That's gonna be [Name].«

»That's right. It's me, who's not only an expert, but also the best of the best when it comes to Royal Bianca.« you boasted gleefully, fully proud and overflowing with confidence.

Royal Casablanca was your realm.

Danny, Rusty and you were in one of the many empty—to such an hour—lounges of the hotel, you're staying in for tonight and tomorrow.

From Amsterdam to Monaco was just a day trip away and since Danny and Rusty had to do a short visit in France anyways, their planned casino heist—in one of Europe's most prestigious establishments—was just the start of something great.

»You wanna tell me the real reason, how you lost thirty millions of thirty-five? It can't be just the hotel thingy of yours«

You poured yourself another cup of coffee, but stopped midway from drinking it, when Danny had asked Rusty that question.

All you wanted was to discuss the plan once more, taking a short nap afterwards and then getting ready for your performance—but not to talk about this theme again or having to break up one of their heavier arguments.

»Well, it was just twenty for my hotel, the rest ten millions had to be paid for [Name]«

The way Rusty had said it, sounded as if it was something he never wanted to actually do, but had to—as if being forced.

»Well, you never had to in the first place.« you replied back angrily, glaring at your husband, clenching your hands into fits.

»Why so snappy now? You weren't even part of it the last time, so you have nothing to worry about Benedict.«

You inhaled sharply, standing up from your seat. Even more furious now.

»Excuse me? I might be not part of it last time, but I am now and you wanna know why? Because your Mister Benedict came to me, to our house—where I, we, should be safe—and threatens me, that if I don't repay the money—I apparently have stolen too—to him, he's gonna bring me back to him.«

You weren't having any of this. Not with such blatant heinous disrespect towards you, after you were finally being free from that hells place—finally feeling safe enough. So you thought at least.

»Hey, hey, [Nickname] how about we grab a bottle of Cola and go outside for some fresh air?« Danny took your hand, taking a bottle of Cola from the table and was on his way outside to the small hotel garden outside.

Danny gave Rusty a pointed look, who only looks remotely guilty at the moment.

»So, whose [Name] exactly?« asked Linus, fumbling with his Bowtie. It's a question which burned on his tongue, ever since he saw what a kind of enigma source of information you are—when it comes to Monaco and Royal Casablanca.

»My Husband.« replied Rusty, looking just a tiny bit anxious and impatiently towards the bathroom, where you went in to get ready dressed.

»Yeah, I already knew that, but I meant like, personality wise? What's his job? Is he like us? Yeah know, all that stuff«

»Do you wanna tell them or should I?«

Rusty inhaled deeply, annoyance rising and patience running thin. He knew Danny's still just a tad angry at him, for upsetting you hours ago—Rusty himself feels the guilt coming up, ruining his appetite—but really, in all honesty, why do they—especially Linus—want to know information about you?

Were your personal information useful or necessary in the current situation? No.

Do they ask out of pure curiosity? Perhaps.

»[Name]'s my husband, he used to work in a rather expensive and fancy establishment of brothel business and is a merciless gambler when it comes to any sort of Casino games—so fair warning, never play against him.«

»Wait, wait, hold on! So, [Name]'s a Who–«

»Linus, we like you and so does [Name], but if you dare to finish that word or ever say it again—around us or him—I will punch you so hard, till your bones crack.«

Rusty wouldn't let anyone, be it stranger, family or friends, say such disrespectful and shameful term about you.

Words could hurt just as much, but when carved into your skin—they're a constant reminder for the someone's mind.

Linus had gone quiet instantly, when Rusty gave him one of the those stern looks.

»Ignore him, Linus. It's still a sensitive topic.« added Danny.

»Alrighty, Gentlemans! I'm ready.«

When you stepped out of the Bathroom, dressed in a mix between causal suit and old money look—heeled boots, which makes you appear taller—and the few added jewelleries, a clutch-purse and sunglasses—was such a look of pure professional, that Linus had to hold in a whistle. Rusty or Danny would've whacked him upside the head.

But damn, Linus thought, you know how to get dressed fancy.

ignoring all visual staples in the comic and show... if you were tasked with wardrobe for riverdale, which aesthetics would you pull from?

This is difficult, but I love it. For the sake of sanity, I am going to maintain color-coding to some extent. Also, please read my explanations and look at the pictures, because they both add a lot of context.

I will probably only get to one or two characters in this post, but if this gets a good enough reception I will happily continue the series.

Veronica Lodge

For Veronica... I would basically scrap the entire thing and start over new. I want to see a business-savvy teenager, sure, but I also want to see a former Hermes-toting NYC socialite who knows how to party. How do you marry those two concepts? The outfits do not all need to 100% represent every aspect of her, but her wardrobe should.

Though Riverdale (the show) fully embraces camp, Veronica's outfits should always look somewhat effortless. We should get the impression that her wardrobe is endless, and wardrobe is second nature, though it doesn't have to be tasteful. She would embrace a high-low aesthetic fairly often (think: perfectly undone waves and a white tee with a vintage Chanel skirt, or pair of black ankle boots with a delicate lace number and pearls.)

Veronica is a trendsetter and early adapter because she has her finger on the pulse. There is no excuse for these tired PDA mom looks. Here are aesthetics I would pull from when styling her:

Clueless/90s Academia Prep Revival

This is a girl who name-dropped Cruel Intentions! She knows these references. These looks are not only chic and young, but they scream 'old money' while also fitting into the Riverdale 50s academia undertones. We get to keep Veronica's signature stuffiness- but with the addition of casual pieces, a sense of novelty, and lots of upper thigh, we get a youthful, refined, sexy aesthetic. Unfortunately, most of the examples I used are not in the desired color palette, and many of them are cheapo material, but let's use our imaginations.

Y2k Socialite/It Girl

I want to see the glitz and glam! Veronica is the kind of girl who's had the $1k sundae at Serendipity 3's more than once, just for the hell of it. Where is the fun?! My immediate thought was Paris Hilton's famous 21st birthday look with the silver dress. Ignoring how she accessorized it, this would be a perfect reference (however inappropriate it would be in a school scene.) I want details like sheers, sequins, glitter, maribou trims, etc. The colors would be more subdued here- washed out metallics and neutrals, mostly. There are ample ways to make this more 'wearable,' but maybe sometimes Party Mode Veronica is too much.

Mob Wife

I know, I know. I was going for minimalism up top! Effortless! What happened? Well, what happened is this is Riverdale, and Veronica is Veronica. All characters in Riverdale are subject to extreme lifestyle changes- and, often, seemingly contradictory traits. In Riverdale, you are only one arc or setting change from a different aesthetic. Veronica is both the daughter of a mobster who tries really, really hard and (should be) the cool fashion girl among her peers. She wears many hats. I am just trying to make sure they're all stylish. Veronica should have a chameleonic quality to her. We should get the impression there are several Veronicas, all of whom had a wardrobe ready for whatever the occasion du jour is. A heist? Dinner with a crime family? Church with daddy? She has the tools necessary for all of these occasions, even if her wardrobe looks a bit contrived. In other words, Veronica didn't just fall out of a coconut tree. She exists in the context of all in which she lives, and what came before her. With this aesthetic, we get to have fun with some European and femme fatale influences.

Business Bitch

This is where Veronica as we know her gets to shine- it is the closest thing to her actual Riverdale aesthetic, but cuntier. You'll see all of the above come together here, as it is the fourth quadrant of her personality. Though this iteration of Veronica would be heavy on the black and white, high contrast thing she already has going (which I love!) there is plenty of room for color... even if the examples I pulled say otherwise.

Something Wicked On The Model Runway

What is it —

A 2D animated action-horror/magical girls series done in a stylized but dark comic book aesthetic.

PREMISE:

Set in Manhattan, the series at first follows a stunningly and head-turningly gorgeous young blonde woman in her late 20s, Andrea Jones, who suffers from impaired hearing after being in a severe car accident that killed her parents and is more than down-on-her-luck despite her appearance. She's struggling having to take care of her 8 year old sister Sophie as the sole caretaker and after a botched heist, she's unable to prove her worth and pay off an enormous debt owed to the ruthless and cold Liesel Schroeder who as it turns out isn't just a successful supermodel and seamstress but also a crime boss.

Believing that she is still useful, Liesel decides to spare Andrea's life and later offers her a solution to pay off the debt. It turns out that Liesel is also in secret a highly intelligent and properly organized surgeon with a fascination of the human body and she's been experimenting with transplanting animal tissues and organs into human beings to great success and wants to give Andrea an owl's auditory system so her enhanced hearing will help her crack the model agency's safe since Liesel knows she's about to be screwed over on a deal made behind her back.

With no other option left, Andrea agrees and undergoes the surgery.

Now with her newfound abilities, she cracks the agency's case with ease like it's pretty much nothing. However, once Andrea gets an immediate sniff at all this money, she refuses to settle for less and ends up shooting and killing Liesel with a gut shot, head shot and her brains splattered on the wall. Making off with all of the cash, she is confronted by none other than Liesel herself who has risen from the dead, immediately regenerates her bullet holes in front of Andrea's shocked and horrified eyes, rips her entire skin clean off and reveals once and for all that she's in fact a gray skin, pitch black eyed, raven black bodysuit wearing and long black undulating hair (as if it's always underwater or has a life of its own) witch that's as wicked as she is boisterous.

It's here that the side effects or "bugs" that Liesel alluded to way earlier before doing the operation go into effect: Andrea instantly begins displaying mannerisms of an owl, culminating in her jaw cracking open and revealing a beak with her head spinning around completely all while Liesel has a great, big, shit-eating smile on her face with drool.

Finding herself restrained to a billiards table, Andrea is told everything by Liesel in a sadistic and twisted way — she's been a witch ever since her 18th birthday with her skin having fell off and that she's been using Andrea all along, from the moment she first laid her eyes on her Liesel knew she was the perfect host and that the surgery she gave to her was in fact a dark magic transplant and part of her collection of sick experiments. Top of that, she kidnapped Andrea's sister Sophie long before the heist and is keeping her in a cage. She offers Andrea another deal that this time isn't any trick or horrifyingly grotesque deception..... either she is killed by Liesel and has her organs harvested with her sister being drowned and her body fed to her tank of pet piranhas OR she agrees to marry Liesel and become her bride since she's looking to settle down at her peak, the only reason the experiment and spell worked successfully as it did was because Andrea has a strong magical aura meaning that she too is a witch and she sees a large amount of untapped potential in her as a witch.

In tears, Andrea has no choice but to agree once again.

After putting her now-fiancee back to normal in the most graphic and horrific way possible, the rest of the series focuses on the relationship between the two of them and how despite where they started, they form an unlikely but sincere and genuine love and bond for each other as a couple and wives all the while they deal with many new and just as dark and dangerous obstacles in their lives whether it'd be grounded realism like crime, gangsters and serial killers or surreal fantasy like black magic, vampires and other monsters with all six being given their own unique takes on them. But the main aspect and even heart of the whole show is the relationship between the two leads and how Liesel grows into a legit anti-hero who while she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty is also driven or at least has a genuine almost moral code that leads her to do the right thing.

NOTES/TRIVIA/DETAILS:

• The animation style is heavily influenced and even directly inspired by the artwork of comic book artists Ryan Ottley and Tony Moore with the latter's design for the character of Andrea in the first six issues/first volume of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead (Comic Series), being used for the protagonist here and obviously her name being Andrea while her sister's name is Sophie are equally obvious call-backs.

• The character of Liesel Schroeder is best described as a cross between Oogie Boogie, Eris and Shego especially when she's in her true witch form underneath her skin so that there's contrast. When she's in her human skin, she's calculated, sophisticated, majestic, elegant and charismatic but when she's in her real witch skin, she's boisterous, vile, playful, sinister and delightfully twisted.

• Another thing that will be a stand-out is that when she betrays Liesel and shoots/"kills" her, Andrea is revealed to not be the poor victim we all think she is or as she makes herself out to be. She's in fact a selfish, manipulative, greedy, thieving and just as delightfully twisted as Liesel is, gambler with this being the reason why she owed an enormous debt to her in the first place and a source of conflict with her parents before they died in that wreck. The only redeeming source of her is that she genuinely loves and cares about her sister Sophie with her not wanting to be part of her illegal crime-ridden life.

• Just like with witches, the series will also offer distinctive takes on many classic monsters whether they'd be zombies, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, wizards and others. For example, vampires in this universe don't in fact have fangs but do crave blood, are not immune to sunlight and are only killed through that and stakes, holy water and silver. Their ways of killing people and drinking their blood are drugging their victims and cutting either their necks or wrists open to drink their blood.

• The main source of influences and inspirations for the series in terms of its tone and style are Todd McFarlane's Spawn (HBO), The Secret Of NIMH, Return To Oz, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) and even Ben 10: Alien Force, not just with the balance of dark and light but also the fact that there are a lot of shadows in this show to give it that edge.
