Sofia Carson is spilling brand new details about Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists!

Freeform has yet to announce if the PLL spinoff has been official picked up to series, but we're already dying to know which Rosewood residents could be making their way over to the new fictional town of Beacon Heights.

It was previously announced that the new series will welcome back PLLveteransSasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish as Alison DiLaurentis and Mona Vanderwaal, respectively, with Carson starring  as new character Ava, a beautiful, trendsetting blogger and coder who strives to be a fashion icon.

Carson, who finished filming The Perfectionists pilot in Portland, Oregon, at the end of March, dished to ET's Lauren Zima that her time on set was a career highlight.

"Everything about it was so surreal -- it was such a dream," she gushed. "I'm so honored to be a part of it and to work with [Pretty Little Liars executive producer] Marlene King. It's such a female-centered story, which I love so much, so there are tons of secrets, as you can imagine, that I can't tell you about yet."

Although the Descendants star was tight-lipped about any plot-centric secrets, Carson did reveal that more of Pretty Little Liars' original cast members may be involved with the spinoff if Freeform gives the series the greenlight.

"I've heard Troian [Bellisario] and I've heard Lucy [Hale], so hopefully they'll be involved. As much as they would want to, we will have them," she beamed.

When we followed up and asked if their roles on The Perfectionists would be onscreen or behind the scenes, Carson had an optimistic response. "Hopefully both!" she exclaimed.

Luckily for PLL fans, this is not the first we've heard of Hale and Bellisario's potential involvement in the new series. Hale recently stopped by ET for an in-depth interview and she revealed that she would "absolutely" love to reprise her role as Aria Montgomery because she's "very curious" to see how these two worlds will collide.

Regardless of Hale and Bellisario's rumored involvement, Carson is excited for viewers to get to know the residents of Beacon Heights. "It's a whole new cast. It's a whole new story line. It has definitely inspiration from PLL, as well as Allison and Mona, which is so cool, but it's a whole new world."

When asked why PLL fans will love this potential new chapter, Carson was quick to offer multiple reasons why The Perfectionists will keep audiences hooked. "It is dramatic, it's dark, it's mysterious, it's romantic and full of secrets as the PLL world goes," she said. "There's a sensation of being constantly watched as well, like there was in PLL, so there's the same essence of the story."

"I'm hoping they'll love it," Carson continued. "The reaction has been so amazing so far. It was so overwhelming when it was announced that I was cast, so I hope they love it as much as we do. We're pouring our hearts into it, so we're really excited."

Sasha Pieterse will reprise her role of Alison DiLaurentis, the former queen bee whose mysterious disappearance rocked the small town of Rosewood

Janel Parrish will reprise her role as Mona Vanderwaal, Hanna Marin's best friend who was unmasked as the mysterious tormentor "A" at the end of the show’s second season and ultimately beat uber-villain A.D. at her own game.

Sofia Carson will play Ava, a trendsetting blogger and coder who strives to be a fashion icon.

Sydney Park (The Walking Dead) will play Caitlin, who is smart, driven and thrives under pressure. The perfect daughter of two perfect mothers, Caitlin has set her sights on following in her mother’s Senatorial footsteps.

Eli Brown, a newcomer, portrays Dylan, a gifted cellist who grew up feeling judged in his small hometown and now feels the need to be the best in all of his endeavors. He is deeply committed to his two passions, his music and his boyfriend, Andrew.

Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl) stars as Claire Hotchkiss, the matriarch of the Hotchkiss family, Claire (along with her husband) is the founder of Hotchkiss Industries and the respected Beacon Heights University. Claire believes perfection is attainable and is the person who pulls the strings behind the scenes to get what she wants.

Hayley Erin (General Hospital) rounds out the cast in a mysterious, unnamed role.

When Pretty Little Liars ended last June, you were utterly devastated. I mean, what is the meaning of life now that you're not chasing the identity of Uber A?!

Luckily, you didn't have to go long without your fave show since it was announced in September that another Sara Sheperd book series would be adapted for the screen. The Perfectionists, which I. Marlene King had been developing since 2014, will be a Pretty Little Liars spinoff!

Here's what you need to know about your fave new series The Perfectionists!

What is The Perfectionists about?

Official details about the series are few and far between, but Freeform did release a short description of what you can expect:

Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi.

How is The Perfectionists a Pretty Little Liars spinoff?

If The Perfectionists is based on a totally different book series and takes place outside of Rosewood, how is it a Pretty Little Liars spinoff?

Well, first of all, the series is based on the book series of the same name by Sara Sheperd. Yup, the same genius who wrote the Pretty Little Liars series!

Not only that, but two of your favorite characters from Pretty Little Liars will be starring in the TV adaptation of the series and bringing all of their PLL drama and secrets along with them!

Who from Pretty Little Liars will star in The Perfectionists?

So far, two major characters from PLL are confirmed to be relocating from Rosewood to Beacon Heights.

Alison DiLaurentis (played by Sasha Pieterse): Sasha will reprise her role of Alison DiLaurentis, Rosewood High's totally reformed mean girl. Her mysterious disappearance in the first episode of Pretty Little Liars set off the events that drove the whole show, but it's currently unclear how she'll play into The Perfectionists' plot. Maybe she'll be a teacher at Beacon Heights' top-tier college?

Mona Vanderwaal (played by Janel Parrish): Mona turned out to be A in the second season of Pretty Little Liars, then she became another pawn in Uber A's game — until the tables turned and she beat A.D. at her own game! There's no information about what brings Mona to Beacon Heights just yet.

Are there new characters cast in The Perfectionists?

Yes! Your Disney Channel Descendants fave, Sofia Carson, has been cast in the lead role of Ava in the series!

Ava (played by Sofia Carson): Ava is a beautiful, trendsetting blogger and coder, who strives to be a fashion icon. Chances are, Ava will have some deep, dark secrets she'll have to protect along with her classmates and I'm sure Ali and Mona will be a great resource in that department considering they've got plenty of experience keeping secrets.

Are there any The Perfectionists cast photos?

What is The Perfectionists book series about?

Considering Ali and Mona have no part in the book series and the TV series will be set at a college, not a high school, it's already a given that the The PerfectionistsTV show is going to diverge quite a bit from the original source material. Still, the book plot could inform the general direction of the show.

The book series follows Ava, Caitlin, Mackenzie, Julie and Parker — five girls with little in common other than the drive to be perfect and a shared hatred for the school heartthrob/womanizer, Nolan. They come up with the perfect plan to kill Nolan as a joke, but when Nolan coincidentally turns up dead in the exact way the girls planned, they become prime suspects in his murder.

Definitely a different plot than PLL, but it's got the same murder mystery aspect we're used to. LOVE IT.

Will there be any male stars in The Perfectionists?

Considering Ezra, Toby, and Caleb all became fan favorite characters in their own right by the end of Pretty Little Liars, it should come as no surprise that The Perfectionists will have some major male characters. What may come as a surprise is that I. Marlene King has decided that some of the Perfectionists will be male from the very beginning.

"I felt like just as we were getting sort of into season five and six of Pretty Little Liars, our guys became such an important part of the show," she I. Marlene King explained to Digital Spy. "I wanted to explore the relationship between guys and girls who can be friends and not necessarily boyfriend-girlfriend."

If the new guys look anything like the PLL boys — we definitely approve.

Are Ali and Emily still married in The Perfectionists?

In the PLL finale, Alison and her one true love Emily got engaged and were raising twins together. But with Shay Mitchell busy taking on a new role in I. Marlene King's new drama, The Heiresses, it's pretty much guaranteed Emily will not be a large presence in the spinoff. Will Emison's relationship survive?

HollywoodLife.com caught up with Sasha and she revealed that although she knows pretty much nothing about the show, she does know that Emison is still very much a thing.

"I feel like in the beginning of PLL I never know what’s happening, so Marlene [King] has kept a lot from Janel and I, but I have read the pilot. I love it, and it’s super exciting," Sasha said. "I know a lot of the fans are wondering about Emison, and Emison is good. We’re great. The babies are good. That stays the same.”

But will we ever SEE Shay Mitchell make an appearance on the show?

"I don’t think that will be a problem at all," Sasha told Entertainment Tonightwhen they asked about the possibility. "I think the fans will really appreciate it, so that’s what we really care about anyway."

Is there a The Perfectionists trailer?

No, not yet!

When will The Perfectionists premiere?

The Perfectionists is only in its pilot stage at the moment, so there's technically a chance it might not get picked up to series... But let's be real — that's never going to happen!

If/when the show gets picked up, it'll probably premiere in late 2018.
