*kicks down door*
I ’ M  B A C K
gosh dang i missed you all so freakin much!!!
camp was so much fun but i talked about y’all every single day you all mean so much to me skdfjlkdsjf
some highlights from camp:
MAKIN’ MY WAY DOWNTOWN *piano yeets against wall*
the first video i saw at camp was two skit characters making a trickshot parody just like bro average
don’t abandon my friend and i during the incredibly un-fun obstacle course or i will complete it while fueled by pure spite, emerge from the horrible-smelling mud looking like a swamp monster with many layers of dirt under my fingernails and in my hair, and proceed to shower- using up a ton of your shampoo and conditioner instead of my own as my stupid method of vengeance
A CABIN FULL OF GIRLS DRESSED AS ROSIE THE RIVETER (including me)
c l i c k  c l i c k  p u l l  p u l l
have you ever seen a group of girls trying to wrangle a man who is wearing nothing but shorts, duct tape, and an absolutely massive amount of crisco? because i have
my friend maura is mona lisa from parks & rec in disguise
high-speed chase in which a rubber chicken was decapitated
i was threatened by a man in a kilt
giant bees and beetles flying around. they didn’t sting or anything, and their wings were powerful enough to work as fans. very cooling and efficient
zip-lining lady said that she often punches the bees and beetles when necessary. “just punch them”
“did you forget i was mean”
WE CLIMBED A MOUNTAIN AND WE COULD SEE THE PLACE WHERE THEY FILMED THE HUNGER GAMES ARENA FROM THE PEAK
this carnival thing they did was too loud and cramped so i just sat and talked to bob the spider for an hour
“natUuUuUre :(”
boy on bus uncomfortably flirts with me when the lights are out and he doesn’t know what i look like. proceeds to think my friend is me the next morning. doesn’t notice her correcting him when he calls her “brianna”
“ned is present” “i thought it’s name was sheryl”
my florescent, and i mean florescent, pink gel pen exploded in my marker bag. i looked like i murdered a danganronpa character
“ G E T   O N   T H E   G R O U N D ”
the frogs have a conspiracy against me. when i try to catch them, they do not flee into the water- instead, they go to the other teenagers, knowing full well i’m too embarrassed to reach under another teen and snatch a bullfrog
*the final countdown plays as girl from yellow team attempts to drown a girl from my team (aka the green team) using her foot*
the girls upstairs stomp so hard that we get them in trouble. it sounds like thunder. we cannot sleep. they continue anyway. they stomp hard enough to break a light in our room.
threatening kilt man kicks us out while stranger things theme blasts through speakers for no reason
karmen laughs so hard that she reopens a wound
i hurt where i should not hurt
“tell me you’re not going to american eagle”
#istandwithtilly
i met a kid who lives close to me and watches jse, but he pronounced “anti” as “ant-eye.” i proceeded to gently place my hand on his shoulder and whisper “no”
girls from my hick town love florence + the machine, glass animals, needtobreathe, and declan mckenna and i’m so happy
if you haven’t heard approximately 500 kids all singing wannabe, dancing queen, and allstar, you have not lived
“Ḑ O̷͟҉ W͢͏ N , G̨̕͟ Ì R̸͢ Ó̸ Ć̀ K Į̕ E͏̨ S̛͢”
my mom and another leader from my town wore cowgirl outfits while dramatically dancing to wrecking ball. our town’s one (1) male leader, chris, was lip-syncing it with much emotion. the curtains drew back to reveal another leader wearing a giraffe costume and sitting on top of an exercise ball suspended from the ceiling. she flings and hits chris. my mother and the other cowgirl dragged him away. the curtains close as the giraffe waves. it looks like a looney tunes outro
“i love everyone so much! - S̢͝͏Ơ̴̧ ̸̛Ḿ͢U͞C̡͝H”
yeehaw hoedown dance. drenched in sweat
*flirts with one (1) person* *it turns out that one (1) person lives thirty (30) hours away from me*
threatening kilt man gets a redemption arc
we loved our bus driver so much that we cheered for him and made up chants. he is our god now
A BUNCH OF MY FRIENDS GOT SAVED AND I’M SO HAPPY FOR THEM
chris was possessed by “alexa the jewish ghost”
"you have to put your crocs in attack mode” “i’ve been wearing crocs the wrong way for the past fifteen years” “mhm” “i haven’t actually been alive for an exact fifteen years yet so this includes the time in the womb i spent wearing crocs” “womb crocs” “yes”
gibby can play the spongebob theme song as well as the jeopardy theme on guitar
“Í̕ ͏̴͜DǪ̵Ǹ͜'͢T̢͜͢ ̵҉̴G̶̢E͘T ҉Ņ̛͡O S͟͝L̡͘͜E͏͡E̵̷͞P͡ '͞͏C͢A̡U̡͠҉ŞE͟'͟A͏ ̴̵̢Y͏̧̢'̵A̵̢͞L͜L”

It has been a long hiatus, though to me it didn’t seem to be one. Time flies. June and July have flied by so fast, and I can’t keep up, shit things happening one after the other, and I’m still coping… But it’s a process. I’m functioning now enough to write and interact on this blog.
As I promised, this first post is a list of June releases (from June 3rd) and the reviews I found about them until now. You’re all welcome to let me know if you have a review that I forgot to add.
Since July is also over, I’m also sharing this month’s books and reviews.
As always, updating is constantly happening, if you know about a book or have a review, just let me know! 😉
Welcome back on Swift Coffee, everyone!
For the newbies (welcome 😘): if you don’t yet know what this is all about: I’m posting a list every Monday of the books that get released during the current week. I also include other people’s reviews about them! I try to do a blog hop from time to time and spread the word about this feature, but I obviously can’t find every review that’s related, so a sign that you have one would be very much appreciated! Every review is eligible that is written about a book published on the week in question, even if it was written before said week!
So… one question remains:
Would you like to join the ride?
It’s very easy!
These are the rules:
To be featured, you don’t have to do anything else, but to leave a comment below this post, or contact me by any other way, and let me know you have a review. A link to it makes it easier, but if you only say your review comes out on x day of the week, that’s okay as well, I’ll watch out for it! Following me is not a must, but I appreciate it very much, if you do! 🙂
I continuously update this post according to your infos/comments, and I share it again every time I’ve made an update.
The book you reviewed don’t have to be from the list here, if it’s not listed, but published this week, I’ll add the book, too!
You can also send me a review for next week, because these posts are scheduled! 😉

An Alien blockbuster is coming to a comic shop near you when Dark Horse Comics brings William Gibson’s original, unproduced Alien 3 script to life with the help of writer and artist Johnnie Christmas. While Gibson was a contributor in the early phase of the writing for Alien 3, ultimately most of his concepts never made it into the final film. As the father of the cyberpunk genre with titles like Neuromancer, Count Zero, and Mona Lisa Overdrive, Dark Horse is thrilled to see Gibson’s vision fully realized for the first time!
Following the deadly events of Aliens, the Union of Progressive Peoples intercepts the spaceship carrying the hibernating bodies of Ripley, Hicks, Newt, and Bishop. But unbeknownst to them, they have also picked up another deadly passenger whose discovery will unleash a race between two governments to weaponize the xenomorph in this horrifying and poignant Cold War-themed thriller.
With an intense script by Gibson, cinematic art by Johnnie Christmas, vibrant colors by Tamra Bonvillain, and a slate of variant covers by James Harren, Daniel Warren Johnson, Paolo Rivera, Tradd Moore, and Christian Ward, William Gibson’s Alien 3 is the “what if?” fans have been asking for!
William Gibson’s Alien 3 #1 (of five) goes on sale November 7, 2018.

With an intense script by Gibson (Neuromancer, Agency, Count Zero, Archangel), cinematic art by Johnnie Christmas (Angel Catbird, Firebug, Sheltered), vibrant colors by Tamra Bonvillain (Doom Patrol, Wayward, Uncanny Avengers), and a slate of variant covers by James Harren, Daniel Warren Johnson, Paolo Rivera, Tradd Moore, and Christian Ward, William Gibson’s Alien 3 is the “what if?” fans have been asking for!
William Gibson’s Alien 3 #1 (of five) goes on sale November 7, 2018, and is available for pre-order at your local comic shop.

Amazon Connect - OMNINGAGE
Every second counts – especially on cloud contact centres
The cost of a call is directly related to how long agents spend handling it. For cloud based contact centres such as Amazon Connect, every second counts and every second is charged for. Average Handling Time (AHT) is the KPI that contact centre managers watch constantly.
The cost of a poor UI
A poorly designed user interface (UI) can slow your agents down, so pushing up AHT and the cost of each call.
Amy Harvey, the Principle Software Engineer with IDD Inc, writing in “Usability Geek”, said: “A great UI is so seamless that we don’t even think about it – we just use it, get what we need, and move on.”
Here are 3 key factors to look for in a well-designed UI
It is built around the agent workflow:
Using interfaces such as an agent desktop for Amazon Connect, your agent will pick up a call and speak to the customer. Maybe she will put him on hold or even transfer him. If not, she will finish the call and wait for him to hang up before entering a wrap up code, then make herself ready for the next call.
This sequence should be reflected in the agent’s controls. The right controls should appear at the right time, saving her vital seconds hunting for them because they are too small or placed in an odd corner.
Familiarity breeds speed:
Jakob’s Law is one of the UX designers’ “Ten Commandments”. It states that what the user is doing should “be familiar”. Interfaces should resemble processes familiar to users, so they can learn how to use it faster.
Most UIs are designed to be read from left to right like a page of text. Many websites have their menus on the left, and key action buttons running across the top. The logout button is on the extreme right. It’s the final action the user will take.
Not too many decisions at once:
Have you ever looked at a TV remote and wondered why they have so many buttons?
Hick Hyman’s Law states too many choices dramatically increase a user’s decision time.
When an agent comes to a decision point, they should have only two or three options, so that the choice is clear.
Being beautiful like the Mona Lisa is not enough for your UI, it needs to be something your agents can use quickly, otherwise your AHT will wipe the smile off of your face.
About OMNINGAGE:
OMNINGAGE provides a modern and cloud-based agent desktop for amazon connect platform which delivers high-quality voice via the user’s web browser. Its user friendly, data-rich interface promotes agent engagement, reduces AHT and boosts productivity for those working in the office or at home.
The platform is available globally via AWS and integrates with a variety of CRM and back-end applications to offer a single-window operation to users.

The Devil in Silver
Host Lisa Schweitzer is joined by Aubrey L. Hicks, Susan Lindau, and Joan Miller to discuss Victor LaValle's The Devil in Silver.
Pepper is a big man. He's accused of a crime that he doesn't see himself in. He's dropped suddenly, into a budget-strapped mental institution in Queens, New York called New Hyde. He's not mentally ill, but that doesn't seem to matter - the police don't want to work unpaid overtime to process him and the hospital machine doesn't want to refuse.
72 hours turns into a month and then more. In the darkness of his room, he's visited by a terrifying creature with the body of an old man and the head of a bison who nearly kills him before being hustled away by the hospital staff. It isn't a delusion. The other patients confirm that a hungry devil roams the hallways when the sun goes down. Pepper makes friends with three other inmates and plans to fight back: Dorry, an elderly schizophrenic who's been on the ward for decades; Coffee (Kofi), an African immigrant with severe OCD; and Loochie, a bipolar teenage girl.
What's real? Who is the very real monster and how do we fight it? How do we treat people unwanted by mainstream society? How do we know if we are experiencing reality?
Read along with us! Next month we're reading The Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls by Mona Eltahaay.

Vinny Gambini: Chris Messina
After seeing him in The Mindy Project and The Newsroom, I can very clearly picture him as Vinny.
Mona Lisa Vito: Mila Kunis
The twinkly passionate rants that come so easily to Mona Lisa, would be well delivered by Mila.
Bill Gambini: Diego Boneta
Diego was also a murder suspect on Scream Queens where he was charming as hell.
Stan Rothenstein: DeRon Horton
DeRon is a sweet modern nerdy angel on Dear White People, and I feel like he would do well as the compatriot of Vinny’s cousin.
Judge Chamberlain Haller: Holly Hunter
Holly can do smart but kinda hick, and ultimately fair.
Jim Trotter III: Cary Elwes
Cary is quite able to play a creepy seemingly helpful southern gentleman.
Casting a Remake: My Cousin Vinny Vinny Gambini: Chris Messina After seeing him in The Mindy Project and The Newsroom, I can very clearly picture him as Vinny.
