Okay so past few days I’ve been expressing a lot of frustration... I’m only human right? 🙈 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, today I woke up and decided I needed to stop being so angry. So I counted my blessings. 🙆🏽‍♀️Why I Became A Mom... Most people who know me are surprised about my home life. I once was very serious and would tell anyone that I would not be signing up for a "gilded life of indentured servitude", or something like that. Basically, I felt being a mother was serious business and I saw how easily it could become hectic when you didn't get what you needed. Fast forward to today and I am happily married (for 15 years), with seven kids. While I babysat and worked in a daycare in college, it was being an in home childcare provider that helped me see a glimpse of how motherhood could be. My best friend had recently become a great husband so the idea became my biggest wish. After many moments of sadness I finally became a Mom in 2007 and have been excited with each pregnancy. The road was rocky but I would do it all again to see these sweet faces everyday. Becoming a Mom for me has been all about building a foundation of my own that will reach all the way to future generations. I have the chance to break generational curses by creating a new story. I am mindful of what my children experience in an effort to create beautiful people who can easily let their light shine in the world. I plan to explore and learn with my family, as we live in harmony and uplift other families. Life for us is to be truly experienced, even if it is just a lazy day at home. Being a Mom is the single most important job in my world because not only do I create my own personal future but have an impact on that of others as well. Parenting sucks.

I remember my youth. The emptiness I felt inside. The loneliness I felt from not feeling loved… I was then a teenager with the goal of having several kids (crazy how at that time I thought several would be perfect). My thoughts were at that time “ If I have kids they will always love me no matter what” (thought process from my own experience with loving my mother through it all). I craved someone telling me “I Love you” words that I was not told by my own parents.

I’ve tried to learn as I go. Taking information from here and there. Mentors, books, counceling and other parents. It has been trial and error lityerally… TRIALS AND ERRORS… 7 kids, 7 personalities, 7 hearts, 7 minds, 7 individuals with their own lives with same and different life experiences…. Don’t know if any love me unconditionally. (I don’t think I deserve it) I know some hate me. (But I don’t think I deserve that either)

I swear I’ve tried but I know I have failed them. I know I keep trying but can’t seem to make it right… What do I do? Where do I go? Who do I talk to to help me? I have 2 left at home. My time is running out. Please someone… Pray for a miracle so that I can at least reach a little to be the parent I need to be and plant that little mustard seed. That this type of parenting does not need to be… that it is possible for them to hold on to hope for their own kids and not have to think…
