One of the rock hounding youtubers i watch did a video putting marbles into her rock tumbler

Which makes me miss the marble collection I used to have

And like on one hand the fact that I lost my marble collection has given me great comedic opportunity to be able to say I lost my marbles and mean it completely literally

Seeing all the marbles she got on Amazon made me want to try collecting marbles again

And I was looking on Amazon and then was like "wait. I bet etsy has some cool ones"

????????? Oh shit?????

#especially the skull ones #my favorite field trip i ever took was when i was in preschool and they took us to moon marble company in bonner springs #and we got to watch them make marbles #and they gave all of us a free tube of marbles #that started my marble collection #i wish i knew what happened to them #i know i still had at least some of them after we moved here #man looking at the pictures on google maps #it looks exactly the same #i mean the memories are a little faded. all memories from that far back are very dark. like someone turned the brightness way down #but other than the lighting in the pictures significantly brighter than my memories it looks exactly the same #although they have a tv you can watch them make marbles from a distance now #back then we were all up in the dudes space lol #probably safer this way lol #molten hot glass and 4 year olds probably isnt the best combination #now they got a flatscreen mounted over the workstation that displays a live feed of what theyre doing #THEY HAVE THE $5 CHARGE FOR WHINING SIGN STILL #....im not great at faces but i think the dude doing the demonstrations is the same guy that was doing them when i went lol #i mean not too surprising. he probably owns the place #its a small business in bonner springs kansas #he is almost certainly the owner #or at the very least has worked there for years #oh they got a younger looking guy now too but im pretty sure the older guy was the guy that was there when i was a kid #that mustache and those glasses look familiar #man i wanna go back there so bad #i could probably convince my mom to take me one weekend #shes mentioned wanting to go there cuz she hasnt been since she was a kid #they have a ton of cool glasswork in general #ooooo they got some really cool marbles man
