Thanks for tagging me, @spazzikat! Sorry this took so long to get to, but my life has been crazy busy lately.
Rules: Answer these questions then tag 20 blogs you’d like to know better.
Nickname: Oh, I’ve had so many nicknames over the years - most of which are courtesy of my little brother - but my most common nicknames are Becca, B, or Beats (said little brother’s idea - don’t ask).
Zodiac: Gemini.
Height: 5′4″ - 5′5″ I think. It’s been a while since I’ve measured myself.
Time: 4 pm.
Favorite Band/Artist: Honestly I don’t listen to a ton of music - something I’d like to change - but I really love The Piano Guys. Also recently discovered Florence and the Machine and I love what I’ve been listening to, but I’ve only heard a few songs so I’m not dedicating myself just yet. (Plus, anything composed by Hans Zimmer is sure to be pure gold.)
Last Movie I Saw: I think it was While You Were Sleeping.
Last Thing I Googled: “how to make a dreamcatcher” (because I love dreamcatchers and am trying to redecorate my bedroom)
Other Blogs: None.
Do I Get Asks: On occasion.
Why Did I Choose This Username: I think it was a bit of an aesthetic thing. I love rain, and glasswork is always so beautiful - whether it’s the way things look through a fogged window or glass decorative pieces or the way it looks then light strikes it just so - and I just sort of put the two together. It wasn’t anything really deep.
Following: Meaning how many am I following? Only 55 since I’m extremely nitpicky about the content I get on my dashboard.
Average Amount of Sleep: My sleep schedule has been really off recently, so it’s been flip-flopping between 6-7 hours and 8-9 hours throughout the week.
Lucky Number: 7!
What Am I Wearing: Just a violet tank top and jeans.
Dream Job: Writer. I want to write books mostly for children/YA i think, that are full of magic and hope and wonder, addressing serious questions and issues without loosing their sense of light and life, because this world has become so pessimistic and hardened and I think it’s important to teach the next generation that life can be wonderful and that there is something to look forward to, as well as influence their views on strength, morals and integrity. Because children/teens really are at a very impressionable age and I think that their medias today are just trash, which can actually be dangerous for them as individuals, influencing their moods and beliefs on a subconscious level, as well as for society as a whole. I want to write stories that will inspire people at this wonderful age positively, not negatively.
Dream Trip: I’d love to roadtrip aimlessly around the states. Just pack a van, grab a few friends and hit the road. Music playing and windows down, and a million photos. Maybe hit a few big landmarks, maybe discover some hidden crannies. That just sounds so perfect to me.
Favorite Food: I find I’ve got pretty American tastes, but Italian food is pretty good too.
Play and Instruments: I play the piano fairly well and I can play a tiny bit of the guitar. I’ve also had a few years of voice lessons if you count that (some people do).
Eye Color: Dark blue.
Hair Color: Brunette with blonde undertones.
Describe Yourself as Aesthetic Things: sunrises, sleeping in the sunshine on the grass, dancing barefoot in the rain, the smell of coffee, dried flowers, running your fingers over the spines of old books, toenails painted red, cozy turtleneck sweaters, the sharp taste of fresh apples, sitting by a fire under a sea of stars, being hugged tight by someone you love, snowflakes in your hair, band aids with designs on them, exhausted laughter after a pillow fight.
Languages You Speak: English primarily. I know some basic Spanish and French as well, along with a few German words and phrases (though I don’t think that counts).
Most Iconic Song: Not entirely sure what this one means. Like, the song that I think is most iconic? Maybe Eye of the Tiger by Survivor or Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey. Not really sure about this though.
Random Fact: My mom was an MK who grew up in Africa, so I’ve got a bunch of African-eske decor around my house. Some of it’s pretty cool but some of it is actually kinda creepy ... I never really even think about it until people come over and comment on the unusual mask hanging on the wall in the dining room, or the bust-style wood carvings kept in the living room. And then it’s like, Oh yeah. This is weird. Mom, why do we have to keep these things where people can see them?
So I know I’m supposed to tag 20 people but I’m always super self-conscious about tagging, so I’m going to cheat and just tag anyone who wants to do this. Please feel free - I’d love to read yours!
