Israel has cut water, electricity and food to Palestinians in Gaza. They are buying 10.000 M16 rifles and plan to distribute to civilian settlers in the West Bank to hunt down Palestinians. They're bombing the only way out of Gaza through Egypt, after telling refugees to flee through it, and have threatened the Egyptian government in case they let aid trucks pass through. Entire families, generations, are being wiped out and left to wander the streets hoping they don't get bombed.
Palestinians are using their last minutes of battery to let the world know about their genocide and are being met with a wall of "What about Hamas? What about the beheaded babies? Killing children on either side is bad!" even though the propaganda claims have been debunked over and over again. How cruel is it to ask somebody to condemn themselves before their last words? Or before grieving the loss of their entire families? When there's no such disclaimer to Israelis even though their government has shown over and over genocidal intent? Like who are you even trying to appease? What will your wishy washy statement do against decades of zionist thought infiltrating evangelical and Jewish stablishmemts?
Take action. Israel will fall back if public opinion turns its tide. The UK fell back on its bloody decision to cut aid to Palestine under public scrutiny. The USAmerican empire spends $3.8 billion dollars annually solely on this proxy war while its people suffer under a progressively military regime as well. News outlets are canceling last minute on Palestinian speakers while letting Israelis tell lies unchecked. Palestinian refugees are being targeted in ICE establishments and mosques are already being hounded by the FBI. France and Germany have banned pro-Palestine protests, while Netherlands and the UK have placed restrictions . You have the chance to stop this from turning into repeat of the Iraq war.
I want to do something but there's hardly anything for me to do from Brasil besides spreading the word and not letting these testimonies fall on deaf ears. I'm asking you to do this same ant work from wherever you are.

Palestinians from several of the displaced communities described the same pattern to +972: Israeli settlers arrive with their herds and prevent them from grazing on land where Palestinians have grazed for decades; then armed settlers would proceed to harass them day and night, even entering houses, without the army or police intervening. Everyone described the same, overwhelming feelings of fear and distress under the shadow of these settler invasions. “It’s like 1948,” said Mohammed Hussein, a resident of Ein Samia — invoking the year of the Nakba (“catastrophe”) and the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homeland during Israel’s establishment. According to the Palestinian residents, the situation grew worse following the establishment and growth of several grazing settler outposts in the area in recent years; settler violence and further expansion also noticeably escalated since the current Israeli government, led by extremist far-right parties, was sworn in last December. ... The Israeli authorities, along with the settlers, have played a central role in the displacement. For years, the occupation apparatus has banned the Palestinian communities from construction; demolished their homes; denied them connection to water and electricity; stopped them from paving roads; issued demolition orders for schools built with funds from the European Union; established and recognized Jewish settlements; and, of course, stood by during settler violence.  ... “We have always been under occupation, in a prison with checkpoints, but now we live in a prison van,” said Ali Abu al-Kabash, 60, sitting in a tent he had set up in an open area across the Allon Road. Abu al-Kabash, who is originally from a-Samu, near Hebron, moved to the Ramallah area in the 1980s, and to the area near Ras a-Tin in 1995. “Before the [last] election, the settlers would run away if there were a few of us [facing them]. Today, they attack because the government is with them. The police, the army, and the Shin Bet are all with them,” he added. “For 25 years we lived a normal life,” Abu al-Kabash continued. “In recent years, the settlers came and established two outposts [Micah’s Farm and Malachei HaShalom]. They blocked the road between us and Ein al-Rashash, and the one that goes down toward Fasayil. We would herd in the area, but they came to us in the name of the government and the Civil Administration and said that the land belongs to the settlers. They brought sheep to eat the food we grew for our sheep … They enter houses, sometimes with many soldiers, taking photos, even when there are girls, women, and old men present.” According to Abu al-Kabash, the violence increased after the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr in May. “They park at the entrance of the homes. Some of them are under 12 years old, under the age of criminal responsibility. They go in, look in the refrigerator, or at our phones. What can we do? They want Area C for Israel, to take control of the land through the settlers, but without war. But where will we go? The occupation is everywhere.” Ras a-Tin, which neighbors al-Qabun, was subjected to similar harassment and severe violence by settlers. On the day its residents fled, in July 2022, Ahmad Kaabna, the mukhtar of Ras a-Tin — who died suddenly in early August at age 60 — told a group of activists: “The settlers frightened the women, the children — everyone. They came to the homes at night in groups of 10-15 people … the army with them. If you talk to them and say ‘get away, get out of here,’ they call the army or the police, who come and arrest the young [Palestinians].”

Alcohol smuggler Guled Diriye is exhausted.
He has just returned from his trip transporting contraband from the Ethiopian border.
The 29-year-old slumps in his chair inside a colonial-style villa battered by years of fighting in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu - a city once known as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean.
His sandals are covered in a potent orange dust – the residue from the desert.
Mr Diriye’s dark eyes droop. The bags underneath speak of sleepless nights, the hours of tension traversing the dangerous roads and negotiating checkpoints with armed men.
There is also the haunting memory of a fellow smuggler who was shot dead.
“In this country, everyone is struggling and looking for a way out. And I found my way by making regular trips by road from the Ethiopian border to Mogadishu,” he says, explaining that smuggling was a means to support his family in a tough economic climate.
The use and distribution of alcohol is illegal. Somalia’s laws must comply with Sharia (Islamic law), which forbids alcohol, but it has not stopped a growing demand, particularly among young people in many parts of the country.
Mr Diriye’s neighbour Abshir, knowing he had fallen on hard times as a minibus-taxi driver, introduced him to the precarious world of alcohol smuggling.
Rickshaws began to take over the city, pushing minibus drivers out of business.
Both were childhood friends who had sheltered together in the same camp in 2009 during the height of the insurgency in Mogadishu - he was someone he could trust.
“I began picking up boxes of alcohol at designated drop points in Mogadishu on [his] behalf and manoeuvring through the city and offloading them at designated locations. I didn’t realise it at first but this was my introduction into smuggling.”
His involvement snowballed and Mr Diriye soon found himself navigating from the porous frontier with Ethiopia through Somalia’s rural hinterlands.
He understands that he is breaking the law, but says the poverty that he finds himself in overrides that.
The smuggling journey begins in Somali border towns such as Abudwak, Balanbale, Feerfeer and Galdogob.
“Alcohol mostly originates in [Ethiopia’s capital] Addis Ababa and makes it to the city of Jigjiga, in the Ogaden region,” Mr Diriye says.
The Ogaden or, as it is officially known in Ethiopia, the Somali region, shares a 1,600km (990-mile) border with Somalia. People on both sides share ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious ties.
Once the alcohol is loaded, it is moved across the plains of the Somali region, and then smuggled across the border into Somalia.
The border town of Galdogob is a major hub for trade and travel and has been hit hard by the flow of alcohol being smuggled from Ethiopia.
Tribal elders have raised concerns over alcohol-related violence.
“Alcohol causes so many evils [such as shootings],” says Sheikh Abdalla Mohamed Ali, the chairman of the local tribal council in the town.
“[It] has been seized and destroyed on multiple occasions but it's like living next to a factory. It keeps putting out more and more, no matter what we do.”
“Our town will always be in the midst of danger.”
But for the smugglers the goal is to get the alcohol to the capital.
“I drive a truck that transports vegetables, potatoes and other food products. When the truck is loaded up it’s filled with whatever I'm transporting, but I make the most money from the alcohol on board,” Mr Diriye says.
Sometimes smugglers cross into Ethiopia to pick it up and at other times they receive it at the border. But whichever approach is taken, concealment is a crucial part of the profession as the risks from being caught are immense.
“The loader’s job is the most important. Even more important than driving. He’s tasked with concealing the alcohol in our truck, with whatever we have on board. Without him, I wouldn’t be able to move around so easily — at least not without getting caught.
“The average box of alcohol I move has 12 bottles. I usually transport anywhere from 50 to 70 boxes per trip. Usually half the load on my truck is filled with alcohol.”
Large swathes of south-central Somalia are run by armed groups, where the government has little to no control: militias, bandits and the al-Qaeda affiliate al-Shabab roam with impunity.
“You can never travel on your own. It's too risky. Death is always on our minds,” Mr Diriye says. But that concern does not get in the way of business and there is a brutal pragmatism to thinking about the make-up of the team.
“If I get wounded in an attack on the road, there has to be a back-up who can continue the journey. Everyone knows how to drive and knows the roads well.”
Smugglers drive on dirt tracks and roads that have not been renovated in decades. Landmines and unexploded ordnances left behind from previous conflicts are also an issue.
“I travel through at least eight to 10 towns to reach Mogadishu. But we don’t count the towns, we count the checkpoints and who mans them,” Mr Diriye says.
They encounter various clan militias with different allegiances, either lingering in the distance or at roadblocks.
“In case we get jammed up by a clan militia, if one of us is from the same clan as that militia or even a similar sub-clan, it increases our chances of survival. This is why all three of us are from different clans.”
He painfully recalls: “I’ve encountered numerous attacks.
“One of the guys that works with me is relatively new. He replaced my last helper who was killed two years ago.”
Mr Diriye had been driving in suffocating heat for six hours, so decided to nap, passing the wheel to his helper.
“While I was sleeping in the back, I heard a large burst of gunfire that suddenly woke me up. We where surrounded by militiamen. My loader was screaming as he ducked in the passenger seat.” The substitute driver was killed.
Once the commotion ceased, the loader and Mr Diriye picked up their dead colleague from the front seat and put him in the back of the truck.
“I’ve never seen so much blood in my life. I had to wipe [it] away from the steering wheel and keep on driving. In all my years, nothing prepared me for what I saw that day.”
As the pair drove off and got a good distance away from the militiamen, they pulled over to the side of the road and laid his body there.
“We didn’t even have a sheet to cover his body, so I took off my long-sleeved buttoned-up shirt and made do with it.
“It was a difficult decision but I knew I couldn't keep driving around smuggling alcohol with a dead body in the truck. We had a few government checkpoints up ahead and I couldn’t jeopardise my load or my freedom.”
Two years later he says the guilt of leaving the body by the road still haunts him.
He left behind a family, and Mr Diriye is unsure they even know the truth surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance and death.
The danger that Mr Diriye faces is a recurring reality that many smugglers endure while illicitly ferrying alcohol from Ethiopia to Mogadishu, in order to quench the growing demand.
Dahir Barre, 41 has a slim build with noticeable scars on his face that appear to tell a story on their own. He has a dark sense of humour and seems hardened by the near-decade of smuggling that enables him to bypass the possible consequences of what he does.
“We face a lot of problems and dangers but still continue to drive despite the risk due to the poor living conditions in Somalia,” he says.
Mr Barre has been smuggling alcohol from Ethiopia since 2015 and says lack of opportunity made worse by years of poverty pushed him into the dangerous trade.
“I used to do security for a hotel in the city centre. I was armed with an AK-47 and was tasked with patting people down at the entrance.”
Long nights in a dangerous job with meagre pay did not feel worth it.
“One hundred dollars a month to stand in the way of potential car bombs that might plough through the front entrance sounds crazy now that I think of it.”
One of the day-shift guards then put him in touch with friends from the border region and “I’ve been travelling these roads ever since”.
“Back in 2015 I was only getting $150 per trip, compared to $350 per trip now and those days it was far riskier because al-Shabab had control over more territory, so you risked more encounters with them.
“Even the bandits and militias were more dangerous back then.
“If you had red or brown stained teeth, the militias would assume you chewed khat and smoked cigarettes, meaning you had money so they would abduct you and hold you for ransom.
“As drivers we’ve been through a lot and the danger still exists,” Mr Barre says.
If they are caught by al-Shabab fighters then it can be most dangerous since the armed group has a zero-tolerance policy on contraband, especially alcohol. The Islamist insurgents set the vehicle on fire and then detain the smugglers before fining them.
Other armed men can be more easily bribed with money or liquor.
It takes an average of seven to nine days to reach Mogadishu from the Ethiopian border. The smugglers then make their way to a pre-arranged drop-off point.
“When we arrive, a group of men will show up and unload the regular food products into a separate truck, then leave. Afterwards, once that’s done, another individual will arrive, sometimes accompanied by more than one vehicle and they’ll take the boxes of alcohol,” Mr Diriye says.
“But it doesn’t end there. Once it leaves my possession, it’ll pass through more hands, eventually ending up with local dealers in the city, who can be reached with a simple phone call.”
Mr Diriye often thinks about his entry into smuggling, and where his future may lie.
“My neighbour Abshir who initially got me into smuggling alcohol, stopped doing it himself three years ago.”
Abshir offered his nephew, an unemployed graduate at the time, a job in smuggling. But he was killed on his third trip in an ambush by bandits.
“Afterwards Abshir quit smuggling. He became religious and turned to God. I rarely see him any more.”
Despite the dangers, Mr Diriye says it will not deter him.
"Death is something that is predestined. I can't let fear come in the way of making a living. Sure, sometimes I want to throw the keys on the table and start afresh but it's not that easy. Temptation is everywhere and so is poverty."

So, June was a month! Felt like several, but apparently still just the one. Usually I measure the length of a month in books read—more books equals a “faster” month, fewer books equals a “slower” one—but that doesn’t work this time. I read nine books, so about my average. I think the number of “this was fine” books skewed things, as did The Hands of the Emperor which was excellent, but also very long.
And yes, I’ve finally read The Hands of the Emperor! It was everything I expected it to be and more, and just lovely and charming and cozy and all of things. I am bummed that my library doesn’t have the sequel, not that I’d be launching into it right off anyway. It’s the principle of the thing. The only reason it didn’t get my Review of the Month is because it’s hard to take photos of ebook covers….
On the opposite end of the spectrum, my TBR shelf book this month was a last-minute scramble and I opted for something short as a result. (And a classic, because I hadn’t read one of those in a while.) Tortilla Flat really hasn’t aged well, folks. Let’s all hope my next classic is better.
The other last-minute addition to this post is DIGGER IS HERE! I got the notice that it shipped late last week but didn’t think it would be coming to my door quite so soon. It has bookmarks, plural, you guys! I would be jumping into it next except that I’ve barely finished Shubeik Lubeik and I need to put space between excellent graphic novels.
Next up, though? One of the ARCs I hauled this month is The Frugal Wizard’s Guide to Surviving Medieval England. I’m going to be starting it today.
(Episode Thirteen is my other hauled book this month. I’d forgotten I’d requested a copy from a book rep.)
Other life events? I finally saw The Importance of Being Earnest performed! Another last-minute thing, that. I heard about it near the end of May and dithered about getting a ticket because the theatre was a bit of a trek, and then went, well, when else am I going to see it… Worth it, and that’s one thing off my bucket list.
Hopefully July has a lot of good books to make up for the kind of average reading month I’ve just had. Wish me luck!
And now without further ado, in order of enjoyment…

Palm Jumeirah Vs Palm Jebel Ali Choose the Perfect Palm for Yourself!
Main Differences Between Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali
Palm Jebel Ali is the newest and largest island. It provides almost 50% more area than Palm Jumeirah. However, Palm Jebel Ali is still the stage of development and on the other hand, Palm Jumeirah has already become an iconic aspect of Dubai’s skyline. Both islands have luxurious hotels, resorts, and great residential options, which attract wealthy buyers and visitors worldwide.
A Closer Look at Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali
Palm Jumeirah: Eighth Wonder of the World
Palm Jumeirah was built in early 2000, and it was the first ambitious project of the renowned developer Nakheel. Over the world, Palm Jumeirah is recognized as the eighth wonder. Its unique design includes the center of the stem, 17 leaves and a crescent around the wrist. One of its unique features is a group of stilted houses that together form a poem written by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Unfortunately, Its development was at a standstill after the 2008 financial crisis but has recently picked up pace with new property launches following a market recovery. It holds promises to hit the success of palm jumeirah & to become top choice for elite residents & investors.

[ad_1] Mohammed Shami for Bengal (PC: X) The experienced Indian pace bowler Mohammed Shami has played eight domestic games since his return from a serious ankle injury. But there is more to Shami’s return than him just playing domestic matches. A few days after Shami bowled four overs versus Rajasthan, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, India slipped to an ignominious defeat against Australia in Adelaide. Not surprisingly, the fans are now clamouring for Shami to be on a flight to Australia as soon as possible. However, at 34, Shami isn’t getting any younger. And he has had a couple of setbacks on his path to recovery. The latest stumbling block in Shami’s road to chiseling out a way back into the Indian side happened during the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. This is what the India Test captain, Rohit Sharma had to say in the press conference. “That door is very much open. But we are just monitoring him. Because while playing Syed Mushtaq Ali, he again got some swelling in his knee. “Which obviously hampers his preparation to come and play a Test match. We want to be very, very careful,”  he added. “We don’t want to bring him here in a situation, and he plays and then he pulls up sore or something happens. We want to be more than 100% sure with him. Because it’s been such a long time that he has not played cricket. And to be fair to him, we don’t want to put pressure on him to come here and do the job for the team. So, there are some professionals who are monitoring him.” For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Mohammad Shami (PC: @indiancricketteam on instagram) In this backdrop, we can revisit Shami’s first domestic game this season against Madhya Pradesh. At least 28 Pakistani pilgrims travelling to Iraq for a Shiite Muslim ritual were killed as their bus crashed in central Iran, state media reported early Wednesday.
"A bus carrying 51 Pakistani pilgrims overturned and caught fire in front of Dehshir-Taft checkpoint in the central province of Yazd on Tuesday night," Iranian state television reported.
It said "28 people have been killed and 23 injured so far with the possibility of the death toll increasing".
Yazd province crisis management chief Ali Malek-zadeh told the broadcaster that some of the injured were in critical condition.
"Of the 23 injured, six have already been discharged from hospital, while the condition of seven others is critical," Malek-zadeh said.
"The dead consisted of 11 women and 17 men," he added.
Head of Iran traffic police, Teymour Hosseini, cited "technical failure in the brake system" and the "high inclination of the road" as the reasons for the crash.
The Iranian and Pakistani foreign ministries expressed their condolences and sympathies to the families of the bereaved.
Pakistan's Foreign Office further said the consul of Pakistan in Zahedan has been asked to visit the accident site to ensure medical relief to the injured and arrange the repatriation of the dead bodies to Pakistan.
Most of the victims are residents of Pakistan's southeastern Sindh province where the bus journey began.
Syed Sultan Ali, the brother of the tour operator, told AFP: "My older brother Syed Shamsi has been running this service since 2010, and it has always gone so well. We have been deeply upset since last night."
He added that his brother is "unhurt" because he was travelling in a separate vehicle.
The Pakistani pilgrims were headed through Iran to Iraq to attend the Arbaeen commemoration, one of the biggest events of the Shiite calendar which marks the 40th day of mourning for Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Mohammed.
Last year, some 22 million pilgrims attended the commemoration in the Iraqi shrine city of Karbala, where Hussein and his brother Abbas are buried, according to official figures.

🍃🕊🍃 Story Of Hijrah (Migration):
Imam Ali (as) Sleeps In Prophet's Bed -
Road To Medina by -
Sayed Mohammed Baqer al-Qazwini

Let us now go back to Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam. So, the Prophet manages to escape safely. The Imam was now sleeping in the Prophet's place. The Prophet did not really have a bed that he would sleep on. The Prophet was humble. He would sleep on the floor. But he had a designated place where he would sleep in his house. So Imam 'Ali, 'alayhi as-salam, goes to that place and he would sleep in the Prophet's place.
Now, the Prophet would sleep alone in those years. Why? Because, Lady Khadija, 'alayha as-salam, had already passed away. So, the Prophet, you know, he would sleep by himself in that place. At this time, the Prophet was not married. He did not have a wife who was with him in the room. So, the Prophet's place was known. He would sleep there every night.
Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam, goes to the Prophet's place, he is wearing the Prophet's garment and he is sleeping there. These 15 men, they come, they take a peek. They peek in to make sure the Prophet is there. So, they see, yeah, a person is lying down, it is dark, they could not really see who this person is. But he was wearing the Prophet's garment in the Prophet's place. So yes, nothing unusual here. The Prophet sleeps there every night.
Now, when they became certain that this is the Prophet, when they were able to discern his garment, they carried out their nightly tradition of doing what? Stoning the Prophet, salla Allahu 'alayhi wa alihi. On many nights during these last three years, after the Sha'b of Abu Talib, the pagans would come to the house of the Prophet, and they would take stones and hurl it at the Prophet, salla Allahu 'alayhi wa alihi. Yes, this is some part of the Prophet's history that we are not really told. The Prophet had to struggle from this, and he would not say anything. He would not do anything.
Yes, they would bruise the Prophet. Now with his garments, he would protect himself. But it still hurts rocks being hurled at you. Just imagine, imagine the level of harassment. So, when they started this tradition of hitting the Prophet, Imam 'Ali was there. The ahadith states, when they hit that body, thinking it was the Prophet, they hit Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam. Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam, groaned in pain, whereas the Prophet would not say, we would not make any sounds when they would hit him.
Scholars analyse this. Why? Imam Ali is patient. He is a very patient man. And, you know just a few rocks hurled at him are not going to make him cry. Why did he cry? He was happy. He was smiling that night, to be sacrificing his life for the Prophet. When he got hit by the stones, the Hadith says he started crying, even with a voice, he started groaning. Why?
He felt what the Prophet had to go through every night. So, he cried for the Prophet, salla Allahu 'alayhi wa alihi. This is what you go every night through. So, he knew the Prophet was harassed, but when you go through that experience yourself, and you just imagine the greatest creation of God going through this every night! That made Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam, cry. He could not hold back his tears.
So, the Imam, 'alayhi as-salam, is very saddened to remember how the Prophet would be harassed every night like that. So now Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam, is lying down, waiting for their attack any minute. This is now at night, dawn has not come yet. Something amazing happens.
Sunnis have narrated this in their books, so have Shi'as narrated in these books. For example, you have Ibn al-Atheer, he has narrated this. Ghazali, he has narrated this. As Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam, is lying down waiting for their attack. Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, speaks to two of his greatest angels, Jibra'il and Mika'il. Allah reveals to them, Allah tells them, I have made you brothers, Jibra'il and Mika'il. You are brothers. I have assigned you as brothers. And I have made the life of one of you longer than the life of the other. Which one of you is willing to give that longer life to the other one?
I have made you as brothers. One of you will live longer. Now I want to see you, if you are willing to sacrifice, which one of you is willing to take the shorter life and give the longer life to your brother? Both angels said, O Allah, we prefer to have the longer life. Both angels said. That they are great angels. And the desire to live longer, it is a good desire. It is okay. They did not do anything wrong. But they said, we prefer to have the longer life.
Sunnis have narrated this. At that point, Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, tells them, could not you be like, 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam? I made him the brother of the Prophet. I assigned him as the brother of my Messenger. And he is willing to give up his life for the Prophet, salla Allahu 'alayhi wa alihi! Go down to earth and protect him.
Jibra'il and Mika'il, they come down to the earth. They go to Amir ul-Mu'minin, 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, he is sleeping in the Prophet's bed. And they, the Hadith says, the Sunni hadith says Jibra'il goes at the head of Imam 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, protecting him from that side. And Mika'il is now at the feet of Amir ul-Mu'minin, 'alayhi as-salam. And Jibra'il tells Imam 'Ali, he tells him, oh, son of Abu Talib, how lucky are you? Who is like you such that God praises you to the angels. This is Amir ul-Mu'minin, 'alayhi as-salam. And this is, as I said, not just Shi'a sources. We have Sunni sources that have narrated this incident. This is the sacrifice of Amir ul-Mu'minin, 'alayhi as-salam.
Now, at dawn, right before daybreak, they said, let us now start the attack. So, they go into the room. They are now running towards they think it is still the Prophet. They run towards him. He was now covered with the cloak. They start beating, you know, Imam 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam, and they remove the cloak from him. As soon as they remove the cloak, they are now shocked. They see a different person. Imam 'Ali Ibni Abi Talib, jumps out of his bed.
Now, at the forefront of those 15 evil men was Khalid Ibn Walid. He was leading them, and he is carrying his sword in his hand. Imam 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, alayhi as-salam, jumps out of his bed. He takes the hands of Khalid Ibn al-Walid, he twists his hand and he takes the sword from him. And, when they see their warrior, Khalid, their big warrior, humiliated like that by a 23 year old young man, they get so frightened, like sheep, they just start leaving the room. Yes, that is the historical description of the Hadith, like sheep, they start leaving the room.
So, once they gain their composure, they see this is not the Prophet, this is Imam 'Ali. They tell him, are you 'Ali son of Abu Talib? He says, yes! I am 'Ali, son of Abu Talib. They tell him, Where is your companion? Meaning, the Prophet, salla Allahu 'alayhi wa alihi. He says, I do not know. He has left. They are in utter shock. Imam 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, 'alayhi as-salam, completely demoralizes them. Because they were so ecstatic that tonight it will be over. That is it!
Now a 23-year-old young man humiliates them like that and their leader Khalid Ibn al-Walid, he humiliates them like that. They were just shocked, absolutely shocked, not knowing what to do. So, they go to their elders of Makkah, Makkan Quraysh, and they tell him, look, our assassination plot has been foiled by a 23 year old young man and he [Muhammad] is nowhere to be found.

Ali Al Hamadi becomes first Iraqi to play in Premier League
Tumblr media
Ipswich Town forward Ali Al Hamadi made history on Saturday as he became the first Iraqi to play in the Premier League. Al Hamadi entered the action on 74 minutes at Portman Road as his side lost 2-0 to a Mohamed Salah-inspired Liverpool.
As Andy Lewis explains, newly promoted Ipswich competed well in the opening 45 minutes but the visiting Reds, who were led by new manager Arne Slot for the first time, went through the gears after the break to emerge as comfortable winners on the opening Saturday of the season.
Al Hamadi produced a lively cameo with his movement earning him a couple of looks at goal. Twice he tested Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker although he was marginally offside on both occasions. The game would have been extra special for Al Hamadi who grew up in Liverpool having fled Iraq with his parents as an infant.
He had trials at both Liverpool and Everton before joining Tranmere Rovers and then moving to Swansea City's academy.
From there he signed professional terms at Wycombe Wanderers before a move to AFC Wimbledon ignited his career. A return of 27 goals in 48 games for the Dons caught the eye of Ipswich who paid around £1 million to sign him last January. Al Hamadi has three goals in 12 international appearances for Iraq.
