(A/N): I'm back! Well, kinda of. Long story short, dealt w/college stuff and had a health scare that kept me away from writing. Also had a mini burnout too. More is explained here!

Thinking about Toji taking up crocheting and knitting because he saw how expensive yet cheaply made certain items like blankets are made. So he buys a simple set to try it out, following Youtube tutorials and watching videos for ideas. Once he masters the basics, Toji is LOCKED IN once again. Making full on hand-made blankets, scarves, hats, mittens/gloves, stuffed animals, covers/cases, bags, scrunchies, even damn rugs. Anything you ask him for, he’ll make it. This ends up being very practical to Toji because he saves so much money by just making them at home himself. It has to be the premium, natural, good quality type. Organic cotton, wool, cashmere, alpaca/llamas, silk, linen, mohair, bamboo, hemp, all of that. Tell him about polyester or something and he tells you to put that shit back. He buys the premium yarn nearby, locally, or gets them imported internationally. Gets every and any colors because he never wants to be limited when making his projects.

There was a throw blanket you wanted for the couch but it was expensive and the size was a lot smaller than you hoped. The next day, you come home to see Toji making it for you. The same color but better quality and inexpensive, and it was the size you wanted too. You were happy and amazed that he made it within a day. Living off your praise and approval, Toji just makes everything. Since he can’t get carpal tunnel or arthritis, his hands and wrists never get tired from working. Though, his posture does get bad and his back aches from being hunched over. The blanket in your bedroom with Toji? He made that shit with fucking love and care. He actually made multiple ones depending on the weather and season. 

Man has even made throw pillows, regular pillows, water bottle cases, table cloths, coasters, bags, cushions, and made your own curtains. I mentioned before that everything in your home was either made, customized, or renovated by Toji. This stays TRUE because almost all the pillows and blankets in the house are his creation. The blankets and pillows that cover Megumi and Tsumiki’s beds? All Toji. Both pillows and blankets match each other and are in respective colors for the two. Megumi has one at his dorm because it gets cold over there and he hates sleeping in the cold. 

If you are a stuffed animal fiend, like me, you ask Toji to make you any stuffed animal you want. Definitely make squishmallow dupes for you if you asked him. In your personal room/office, there’s a pile of stuffed animals in the corner from Toji that you pluck one from the pile and hold it while relaxing or walking around the house. The ones he loves to make are bees, dragons, whales, dolphins and dogs. And they’re so soft and huggable, you squeeze them all the time. Toji just grins to himself knowing the things he makes brings you and the kids happiness.

It’s normal for you to come home to see Toji crocheting/knitting away at something. You either find him in three places at home: the engawa in front of the courtyard and garden, the family room with the shoji doors open, or in his personal room/office. Mostly, he sits outside sitting on the engawa working away at something. It makes him work better, or so he says. Makes his own needles and hooks because of his big hands. Megumi still has his crocheted stuffed puppy when he was younger, still going strong even though it’s been worn down from love. Tsumiki has all the Sanrio characters knitted/crocheted as gifts from Toji.

Tsumiki always wears her hair up in a ponytail, Toji makes her scrunchies in her favorite designs and colors. Her favorite cardigans and pullover sweaters that keep her warm during fall and winter were made by Toji because he wanted to try making outerwear. Luckily it worked in his favor. Tsumiki asked Toji if he could make her a tote bag because she needed a bag for outings. She comes home from school one day to see three of them in different sizes. She has those cute little flower keychains on her school bag and outing bags too because she asked Papa Toji for them. The massive white and blue circle rug in her room is from Toji.

Megumi’s winter scarf, earmuffs, and hat are made by Toji too. Megumi will never admit it out loud but he appreciates that Toji made it for him. They keep him and he doesn’t feel the wind chills nipping at his face. Megumi also appreciates his dad for making his stuffed animals. I’m projecting here but Toji made a set of plush stuffed animals after his shadows. His divine dogs, all of them. Megumi keeps them on his stuffed animal net in the top corner above his bed. Megumi wears a jacket and hoodie made by Toji all year round because of how versatile they are. In general, they’re Megumi’s favorite clothes to wear too.

Thinking about asking Toji to make a present for Nobara and Yuuji on their birthdays. You asked Nobara what her favorite color and style was while Yuuji said he wanted a new hoodie. Toji makes them pretty fast and the two are in love with their gifts. Nobara is wearing her bag EVERYWHERE, and I mean, EVERYWHERE she goes. Yuuji, like Megumi, ends up loving his hoodie that you always see him wear when he’s in casual clothes. Since Nanako and Mimiko grew up with Megumi and Tsumiki, one of Nanako’s cardigans and a pair of her socks are made by Toji while Mimiko only has a random plushie Toji made for her when she was younger because Suguru had to clean the other one.

Not me thinking about how Tsumiki, Megumi, and Mayumi(JJK OC) baby blankets are handmade by Toji himself with their own individual design and patterns. Megumi and Tsumiki’s are still in good condition even though they were lovingly used by the two throughout their whole life. Their baby hats, socks, and certain outfits were all made by him. He keeps them all in individual boxes to not lose them. Gets sentimental and nostalgic that you catch him staring as he holds the small clothes in his big hands. Reminiscing about Megumi and Tsumiki being babies and small children, now realizing that they are growing up before his eyes.

God, all of it is thoroughly well knitted and crocheted that people thought you bought it from a store. “No, actually my husband made it for me. Isn’t he skillful and amazing?” Your friends and co-workers lowkey ask you if Toji is willing to take commissions for them. They’ll pay for it obviously but they want good quality home-made items Toji makes which gives you an idea. You asked Toji if he considered making orders for other people besides his family. He did think about it but he said he would get overwhelmed when receiving orders and packing them up. You asked him if dealing with the orders and packaging them would help him change his mind. So you unintentionally set up a small business with Toji. His shop consists of blankets, bags and baskets of any kind, pot holders, rugs, coverings, and pillows. It runs where one week is for receiving orders, one month is for making them, and another month to send them out. Making a spreadsheet/list for Toji to show what he needs to make. Probably gets finished with all the orders in two weeks or something.

For some reason, Toji wears eye-glasses when he knits and crochets. You don’t know why but it makes him more handsome that your brain rots/short circuits every time you see him working away. He got you all flustered and down bad it’s insane(but absolutely valid). But you don’t understand why he would need them since he already has better vision and eye-sight than 99% of the population.

“Honey, since when do you need glasses?”

“I need it so I don’t strain my eyes when working on them?”

“Can you, like, squint? You already have 20/10 vision. You don’t need glasses when you have superhuman vision, Baby.”

“Doll, just because I have good eye-sight doesn’t mean my eyes aren’t as sensitive. My eyes are still bugged by light, shit hurts and gives me headaches. Anyway, can you pass me the blue yarn in front of ya?”

Megumi and Tsumiki always see you with their Toji. You’re chilling and minding your own business with their baby sister napping away while Toji is working away at a rug because he is bored. Even though he’s been doing this since they were young, the two still can’t get over how their dad can make a king-sized blanket(start to finish) in four hours. Or when they come home from school and see Toji finishing up on a big and long green dragon, turning to Megumi and Tsumiki asking them, “Do you two think your mom would like this?” Or they could be chilling then Toji asks them to try on the projects he finished to see how they look. Tsumiki and Megumi are his main critics, you are too but you aren’t bothered by certain details to criticize Toji’s projects so he leaves it to the kids.

Mayumi(JJK OC) is chilling by Toji as he’s working away, either sleeping away or playing with her stuffed animals close within sight. Being the three year old she is, she sometimes hides underneath the unfinished blankets and pops up from under to surprise Toji. Papa Toji gives his iconic DILF chuckle that has you  GEEKING and GIGGLING like a damn school girl when you get the chance to hear it every time. He just pats her head, calling her a little rascal or princess, then resumes.

I’m projecting once again but you know those cute crochet dolls? Like the ones with the big black eyes, big head, small body, and no mouth? Toji made those of the entire family. There’s one of himself in his iconic black compression shirt, white sweatpants, and kung fu slippers. He added a little scar too where his mouth would be. Then there is your’s, all pretty and pristine with your iconic outfit. Toji getting your colors and features down to the bone. Next is Megumi and Tsumiki, literal carbon copies of their real versions. Toji said Megumi’s hair was the hardest part to make lol. Then Mayumi’s doll is later added once she’s born. The mini Fushiguro Doll set sits on the top shelf of a pristine black display case, next to the tv, in the family room. 

He’s the type of guy you wouldn’t expect to be good at a skill like this then later found out he’s an absolute master and god among men. Toji doesn’t parade around craftsmanship because he knows how some guys have fragile egos. But he won’t shy away when people ask him about his work. Pulls out his phone to show people the things he made with two needles, one crochet hook, and a shit load of yarn.

Satoru, being the shitter he is, tries to tease and bully Toji about it. To which you reprimand and scold him for it. But Toji doesn’t care about dealing with his antics because it’s a practical skill and keeps him out of trouble. Then you remind Satoru that his winter scarf he always wears was made, the one you gifted him for his 18th birthday, was made by Toji at your request. Satoru never wore any scarf because he thought you made it for him. But for you to tell him Toji actually made it for him, Satoru shuts himself up and doesn’t shit on Toji anymore.

Toji loves it when his family uses/wears the things that he made. Usually wears a goofy smile or grin on his face to conceal his prideful yet satisfied self, knowing his creations are appreciated and loved by his family.

LADY GAGA SPOTTED IN SAINT LAURENT & HERMÉS

A super fit Lady Gaga was spotted going on a grocery run yesterday (May 17) while showing off her toned abs. Here’s what she wore!

You might remember this one from more than 6 years ago!

LG wore her Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2016 black oversized mohair and polyamide cardigan with jacquard heart pattern in ivory & red, lustrous metallic thread, functional pockets and buttoned front. She paired it with a grey crop tee and simple black leggings.

Gaga also wore her L.G.R Cecile sunglasses with silver rectangle-shaped rivet studs in “Havana Bordeaux” ($450).

The Doll Cabinet

Taking Family Portraits gave me a chance to clean out the shelves and wipe them down.

Everything is a bit more orderly and easy to access.

Top shelf: the trunks stacked behind Harley and Mr. J are things I don't need access to often. The blue and white boxes are things I need more readily. The sleeping bag is a long term project doll. The shipper is my Scary Godmother, whom I ought to get out for display soon.

The world of Tinies! I need to get into my Barbie furniture so these guys can have somewhere to sit. I had action figures and some monster high dolls crammed up there before so there wasn't room. (Monster High is in deep storage.)

1/4, 1/6, and more. The keaids are all leaning which is kind of cute. The vintage troll is going to get a new mohair transplant-he was discovered during the cleaning! I've been looking for him!

More of the same. Twinkle the reindeer is visiting and clearly didn't want her picture taken just now.

Once upon a time, Icky got a whole shelf to himself. It was "Icky's room" and it had his toys and bed and everything. I'm contemplating some "shadow boxes" for display, for the future.

Solstice

Pt. 1: Last Minute Gift

(A little seasonal thing. Will be a 3-parter, with a part focusing on each man seperatly, and finished with the actual gift exchange.)

Pushing through the crowds, Julian tucked his chin into the folds of the scarf twined around his neck. His eyes watered whenever the wind blew, and the few times his nose peaked free of its warm, wooly prison, it was stuck back in, tingling from the cold.

Argh, I should have done this sooner! Right now, it was only days away from the Winter Solstice, which would host Neptunia's Midwinter Feast. It was traditional for gifts to be exchanged at the height of the day, before the feasting truly began. The Winter Market was in high swing, with hundreds of shoppers and vendors crowding the town squares, hawking food, drinks, and wares to the buzzing crowds.

Unfortunatly, this winter has been an unkind one, and Julian had been unable to find the time to shop for a gift for his husband, let alone spend any sort of quality time with Ty. Winter came early this year, causing all sorts of issues: everything from the usual aches and pains of the elderly, slips and falls, and a most HORRID flu season.

Hence why he is only just now braving the market. While Ty would understand his being unable to shop for a gift, Julian knows the man has been busting his ass making something to give to him. It just wouldn't feel right for Julian to unwrap a wonderful gift only to respond with a 'sorry! I've got nothing!' in return.

Oh, but he could do without these crowds!

It's been HOURS. And he's empty handed.

With all of the selection laid out for him, with the sheer variety of goods available, and all at different prices, he's still without a gift. Every time something would catch his eye, he would soon find a reason to not buy it.

Jewelry? Eh, while nice, it's a tad too impersonal. If he had had the time, Julian would have rather sat down with a goldsmith and designed something.

Clothing? Ty's already a MASSIVE clotheshorse. Finding something that would be to his tastes while also not being something he already owns would be...difficult.

And don't even bring up food; the man's a master in the kitchen. Julian honestly can't think of any edible giftbaskets that would even meet Ty's standards.

This is going to take a while.

Julian had been a bit iffy about his latest idea, but he was out of options at this point. If he can't come up with anything here, he's done for.

He had briefly entertained the idea of HIM being the gift, but considering how often they have sex already...

...yeah, that would be a cop-out. And Julian was many things, but a quitter wasn't one of them.

Lucky for him, there was a vendor who sold a great deal of the ONE thing that was guarenteed(!) to make Ty as happy as a clam:

Yarn.

And LOTS of it.

And a bunch of accessories for knitters and crocheters, but that's a bit of a sidepoint right now.

Under a large canopy, enclosed in a tent, was a series of tables and baskets. All were overflowing with skein upon skein and ball upon ball of wooly goodness. Every color Julian has ever seen (and a few he, until now, had only imagined), in hues going from the barest kiss of color to a shade a hair off from the darkest dark, exploded in a riot.

And it was QUALITY. From the thinest lace to the bulkiest, rope-like single-ply arm-knitting thickest, each skein had a defined twist and neat appearance. Not a pill to be seen, not a slub to be found. Some shimmered with a hint of silk, others softened with a fine halo of kid mohair.

He had let out a quiet whoop when he stumbled upon the tented stall, but was too happy to be embarassed by the chuckling owners. The moment he realised what they were selling, he had stripped his gloves off and started fondling all the yarn he could.

Ty is goning to be so happy!

The couple who owned the stall had left Julian in peace for quite some time, they themselves being long familiar with a person doing a 'yarn crawl'. The woman (and possibly wife) of the duo had gone back to her own knitting while the man/husband continued doing some paperwork. Aside from some quiet but warm greetings, they left Julian be.

For about half-an-hour.

"You seem a little lost, mate."

"HNGK!" Jumping, Julian nearly took out the yarntree he had been examining. Looking over his shoulder, he saw the man and winced. "Oh, sorry, but um, yes, or well, no. I'm not lost per se, just uh," he trailed off helplessly.

"Too much to choose from? I'm Lars, by the way, and the vision over by the checkout table is my wife, Lirsa," the newly-named Lars said in good-natured amusement.

"Ah, yes, you could say that. And I'm Julian."

After a quick handshake, the two men started discussing all things yarn, Lars trying to help Julian narrow down his gift choices and being pleasantly surprised at the others yarn knowledge.

Of course, the married couple laughed when Julian mentioned being married to a Principia.

Julian hummed, a bit torn. While he knows enough about Ty's yarn preferences to make educated guesses about what he would like, needles are a bit more difficult. "I certainly wouldn't say no to looking, but my darling can be a bit picky about things such as needles."

Pulling open a display bureau, Lars fetched a few things before coming back over. Julian could see several needle shafts clenched in a calloused hand, different colored woods mixing together.

"I mean, not trying to be disrespectful or anything, but my Tiberius has incredibly high standards. His current favorites are a kit made out of snakewood and- oh my stars," Julian's eyes lit up upon seeing one particular set of needles in the bunch. "They're perfect! How much for a full set!?"

Leaving the tent with a wave, Julian started trotting home. Under one arm was a long, flat, rectangular wrapped box, and hanging from his hands were several stiff paper canvas bags, splashes of brightly colored yarn peeking over the top. He hummed an old, half-remembered shanty under his breath as he went, eyes darting about. Reaching the end of town, at the spot where flagstones gave way to old, smooth cobbles, he stopped.

The sun had long since set, leaving only the warm light given off by the wrought-iron gas lamps as his guide. The lights from the full houses and busy shops behind him backlit everything, growing his shadow long as he stared out at silvered darkness. Going down the lane towards home, lamps were posted every twenty feet or so, creating little pockets of light, a barrier between him and the sapphire night.

Every year he sees this, he becomes so thankful that Ty decided to settle here, in Neptunia. Every Spring and Summer he is surrounded by violently vibrant life, and every Autumn he watches again as nature prepares for the Long Sleep.

But Winter? That time of year where frosty clouds of white blankets the fields, where dark and bare trees become dressed in their best snow and icicles, and where the world becomes soft and quite with every fresh new snow?

-We begin right where we left off, with jacked teddy bears wanting Mohiro, and Saki-kun very confused about her newly jacked body. Ko-san just gives her a THUMBS UP.

-Opening! I wonder if that rival idol girl duo will turn into magical girls too.

-Episode 02! Magical Girl - Ore

-Saki-kun immediately grapples up Ko-san AND WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! He tries to act cutesy, which does not work, but look. A big jacked man body is the best fighting form. But you gotta be cute, so the clothes! THIS IS NOT THE STACKED SHE WANTED! On the other hand, those demons are gonna steal Mohiro away if she does nothing…So…

-What to do…What to do…How to handle this…

-Saki-kun can only laugh and cry, and introduce herself as the magical girl of justice. This is hell. But as the first demon comes, her body blocks its strikes with ease! These muscles, this power…STRIKE! LEG THROW! Her body is as the gods of old, forged in steel and dreams! She can fight!

-There’s just one problem. She’s facing a small army here. Shouldn’t she have some kind of magic?! Yep, it’s in your hairpins. Throw them! So Saki-kun obeys…And they bounce off of the demons…Are they full of exorcism power or some—

-EXPLOSION

-They’re magical grenades! …Saki-Kin is terrified. Do you have anything less conspicuous? How about his magical handgun? Unlimited ammo, no bandana required. SOMETHING LESS YAKUZA ESQUE PLEASE! Well aren’t you picky. But fine, to the bag of tricks! He’s got a real classic!

-A magical staff! Wrapped like an illegal gun, naturally. But Saki-kun can use this! Her magic will change this world! Prepare yourself, demons! They’re prepared. …Ko-san, how does she use the staff? It’s literally just a staff. Beat their skulls in with it. So take initiative and fight hard! Terrifyingly hard!

-Saki-kun fights, tears in her eyes, until there is no more fighting to be done. When it’s over, she is covered in blood, the pile of gore is so terrible it has to be censored, and she is in despair. This is even worse than the idol world! Also there’s still Mohiro. Who can’t stop eyeing Saki-kun. And then, he blushes. Well that does explain why he’s not into Saki-chan…

-He’s also being very shy and quiet as he asks the name of this noble hero who saved him. Saki-kun can’t give her actual name, that’ll give away her secret…So all she can do is say “I am me” in masculine dialect, and Mohiro actually accepts it. And keeps looking back to Saki-kun as he heads off.

-Which is when Sakuyo and the manager finally arrive, and Saki-kun is in a panic! SHE HAS BEEN DISCOVERED! Why are they here?! How long have they been here?! No, focus, focus, Mohiro bought it, she can totally sell the—

-Sakuyo figured it out in two seconds. They followed Saki when she came sprinting out of her house, and saw everything, including the transformation. And the manager…Is in noble tears of this display of love and magical girl power! He’s been a magical girl nerd since he was but a tiny boy, and now he gets to meet and manage one! He’ll have your back, Saki-kun!!! This was not the plan. This was NOT THE PLAN!

-Work hard as an idol, and a magical girl, Saki! Well, um, er, you see…She can’t just…I mean, look at this jacked body…

-Oh Sakuyo is looking.

-This WAS NOT THE PLAN! Also her manager wants to figure out a new name for her! Magical Girl Saki won’t work…Fuck it, you’re Magical Girl Ore! Really sell the yin-yang nature of your cute charm versus your explosive power! So, Saki-kun is the confused…And now it’s time to celebrate! Beer for him, juice for you two! In that moment, Saki realized she was doomed.

-While a mysterious figure watches, eager to see what this new magical girl can do…

-New scene! It’s a new morning, and Saki is totally drained from a total lack of sleep, but she’s back to normal…And her mother has made her a refreshing breakfast. There is an entire tray of delicious breakfast miso soup hanging from her neck, which she gobbles down on the way to see Sakuyo.

-But she gets there early enough to see Mohiro! Sexy, sexy Mohiro! Thank you, god of early awakening! Okay, she can talk to him! She has to talk to him! She can’t even show her face, hiding behind a pole. Because what if he finds out that she’s Magical Girl Ore?! No, he’s deeply oblivious. She’ll probably be fine. And if he figures it out, she’ll kill herself. Alright, cool, plan for both outcomes, and STRI—

-His partner has shown up. There goes all her attempts in a shot! Back OFF, guy! But he spots her, gives her a grin, and hauls Mohiro right off…

-Which is when Sakuyo spots her, and Saki’s forced to give a good morning to Sakuyo, to Mohiro, and even Hyoe-san, who she would rather like to die and never be heard from again. But what brought him out so early? Well, he and Mohiro have so very many things to get done today, so he came to fetch his sleepy partner himself! SHE WILL KILL YOU!

-And he reveals that Mohiro is a bit scared of Saki, and he’s…Very quiet during this whole argument. Saki is very strongly considering murder. And Sakuyo finally decides to ask how long Saki’s wanted to bone her brother. …As long as she’s known him. That gentle but spacy nature of him…And that time when he saved them when they were lost in the woods…She’s wanted to make that up to him ever since, to protect him…

-Of course, all Sakuyo remembers that day is how hard she was freaking out, and how Saki was comforting her and keeping her stable until her brother found them…And she, she can’t root for these two to get together…! She’s got to go! Go on ahead without her, she’ll catch up, Saki! And then Saki falls into despair, feeling like Sakuyo can’t forgive this indiscretion into her family…!

-Which is Ko-san starts trying to get her attention as she’s battering her head into a pole, and…Oh my god he has a mascot size. Oh my god he’s tiny. SO TINY. But he still has his normal head and it’s kind of creepy! DON’T CALL HIM CREEPY! I do what I want, mascot boy.

-Look, he worked so hard to be a cuter little mascot that Saki could carry around! But also, look, there’s a demon coming. …AND IT WANTS MOHIRO AGAIN?! Jeez, this guy is a prime target alright…They went as soon as Mohair’s partner stepped away for two seconds…

-SAKI WON’T LET THAT STAND! She sprints off in a fury, intending to save her precious Mohiro-chan!!! With that declaration, she transforms, and instead of Saki-chan’s slow feminine gait, it’s Saki-kun’s furious athletic sprint! They’re able to get into the line of fire ahead of schedule, to head it off before it can find Mohiro…

-And they discover a jacked teddy bear doing Ursula cosplay. This was not the plan. It’s even creepier than you! FUCK YOU ROOKIE! But, fine! Ko-san, her weapon!

-He thought they’d be good for like a week so he didn’t bring any.

-WHAT?!

-Fine. Guess she’s doing this bare-knuckled! And it comes fast…And grapples Saki-kun immediately! Use your hips! Use, that, booty! Saki-kun has no room to do anything of the sort…And then it goes for her strawberry panties! This is the worst! Is this how she dies, the heroine of this story destroyed in episode two—

-But that’s when Sakuyo rips a tentacle off! She, she can’t bear to see you hurt…If you intend to protect her brother, she’ll protect YOU! Sakuyo, no! Don’t put yourself in danger! Escape! Saki-kun will fight…And thank you, thank you for this support…

-Sakuyo is moved to tears…And Ko-san gets a feeling. This girl…She’s got love power off the charts! A crush she’s held in for as long as Saki! YOU, big tits! You can FIGHT! Cry out your love, and save her!

-In a flash of blue and a vicious chop, the tentacles are severed…And Sakuyo-kun declares, her, love, for SAKI!!! Saki-kun is the confused. And the mysterious figure watches…

-Credits!

And then there were two…And the dynamic just got, shall we say, complicated. How will Saki deal with this declaration of love from her longtime friend? How will Sakuyo deal with the ramifications? Can they love each other in their magical girl forms? And what of Mohiro, and his growing crush on the warrior for justice who saved his life? We have lots of questions and few answers…But we’ll just have to see how things settle next time, in episode THREE of Magical Girl Ore! Wait for it!

NYFW Day 3 & 4: Never a Dull Moment | Thrifts and Threads

Well finally the weekend hit and there was no slowing down! Staying organized is key at this point in order to stay on-top of my schedule and I only attended shows/events that truly fit my style and that I was already a fan of before NYFW. Too often it’s tempting to say yes to everything, but I had to prioritize. Even so, I was low on sleep and relied a little too much on coffee to get me through! Here is what I did:

ALEXIS BITTAR SHOOT

I started off early on Saturday morning with a shoot for Alexis Bittar, it actually wasn’t as cold as it looks- this was probably the warmest I had been in the morning which was a far cry from the freezing temps from the day before! I shot with the amazing photographer Candice Lake. See the final project HERE.

Lacoste Runway

Right after the shoot I hurried off to change for the Lacoste show! The show was very fun and something I wouldn’t typically expect. The ground featured soft soil with tiny rocks everywhere- it reminded me of landing on the moon! The collection fit the venue theme- graphic space inspired tees and velvet patchwork. I also noticed an emphasis on 90s grunge which I loved! I especially liked the full camel look with the large mohair sweater.

Lacoste Street Style

For the show I wore a cozy pleated sweater dress. There was still so much snow on the ground that I needed a functional but stylish outfit, and the white boots added a sporty sophisticated vibe but I was still practical.

Badgley Mischka Fitting

Next, I headed to the Badgley Mischka offices for a fitting for their show on Tuesday. I ended up not being able to choose between a navy or red dress- loved them both! 🙂

Street Style

I wore a casual, but warm cape to my fitting and after met up with a few of my favorite girls for a quick lunch: Leonie, Xenia and Michelle. When it’s a bit warmer I will also pair the cape with a shirt dress underneath!

Jonathan Simkhai Runway

I was so looking forward to the Jonathan Simkhai show and it did not disappoint! First thing I noticed when I sat down? A tee that said “Feminist AF” I assumed the runway would also have a similar bold message.

Many of the pieces were a bit more jeweled than I usually see from his pieces- very regal. I was obsessed with the camel fur coats with slip dresses and the monochrome white look. He did a great job making every piece look very wearable- I’m such a huge fan of the line!

Even though the collection won’t be available until next fall, here are a few of his current season pieces I’m particularly obsessed with at the moment:

The J.Crew Fall presentation was very cool, they used real people (instead of models) of all ages, ethnicities and sizes -even one that was around the age of 10 and reminded me so much of Jadyn!

Trends I noticed for the women’s collection were layered pullover sweaters, plaid. The colors featured were mostly red and navy- a bit preppy and schoolgirl chic.

Street Style

This day is was very rainy and I needed something a bit waterproof, this jacket worked out great. Also- not sure if you can tell but my tights looked layered with socks over, but they’re actually just one piece! 🙂 done and done!
