Islamism is NOT Islam. We need to make that very clear. Speaking your truth about your experiences under a repressive theocratic regime is not (usually) criticism of an entire religion. It's criticism of fundamentalist dictatorships.
I don't care what religion you practice. I don't care if you're Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Baha'i, Sikh, Zoroastrian, Buddhist, Mormon, Samaritan, Druze, Jewish, Jain, pagan, atheist, whatever. I don't care. I only care when you think your beliefs deserve more legal rights than those of others. I only care when you impose your religion on everyone else. And I'm sure most of these women speaking out about their experiences living under the Ayatollah or the Taliban or ISIS feel the same way.
It is not anyone else's business to tell women what to wear. If a woman wants to wear a hijab, that's great, but that needs to be her decision that she is making freely of her own volition. If she wants to not wear a hijab, that's great, but that needs to be her decision that she is making freely of her own volition.

Islamic Fashion: A Timeless Expression of Faith and Style
Islamic fashion is a captivating blend of tradition, culture, and personal expression. It's more than just clothing; it's a reflection of faith, values, and identity. Let's explore the world of Islamic attire.
Tumblr media
The Essence of Islamic Dress At the heart of Islamic fashion lies the principle of modesty. Islamic traditional clothing, or Muslim traditional wear, is designed to cover the body respectfully. While styles vary across different cultures, the underlying ethos remains consistent.
For women, the hijab, a headscarf, is a common element. However, the style and how it's worn can differ widely, reflecting personal preference and cultural norms. Men often wear loose-fitting garments like the thobe or dishdasha, which are comfortable and align with Islamic dress codes.
A Symphony of Style and Culture
Tumblr media
Muslim culture dress is a vibrant tapestry showcasing the diversity of the Islamic world. From the intricate embroidery of North African caftans to the elegant simplicity of Middle Eastern abayas, each region has its unique interpretation of Islamic fashion. This diversity is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Muslim communities.
Modern Muslimah: Redefining Fashion In recent years, there's been a remarkable rise of Muslim clothing designers who are revolutionizing the fashion industry. They're blending traditional elements with contemporary trends, creating stunning collections that cater to the modern Muslimah. This fusion of heritage and modernity is empowering women to express their faith and style with confidence.
Embracing Modesty, Embracing Beauty Modest fashion is often synonymous with Islamic attire. It's about dressing with grace and dignity, without compromising on style. The beauty of Islamic fashion lies in its ability to combine elegance with modesty, creating looks that are both timeless and inspiring.
Islamic fashion is a dynamic and evolving art form. It's a reflection of the wearer's personality, culture, and spirituality. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, Islamic fashion continues to captivate hearts and minds, proving that style and faith can coexist harmoniously.

ELEVATE YOUR MODEST FASHION WITH THE NABIA
What is an abaya?
Abaya, a traditional Muslim garment, is a long, loose-fitting robe covering the entire body except for the face, feet, and hands, worn for modesty and over other clothing.
What are different types of abayas?
There are different types of an abaya, some of them are as follows:
Simple Traditional Abaya: This is the traditional form of abaya, typically composed of black fabric and covering the full body with a loose-fitting silhouette. It could contain beaded or embroidered modest embellishments.
Open Front Abaya: Often referred to as "kimono-style" abayas, these have an open front fastened with buttons or a zipper. It is frequently composed of lightweight fabric for a more relaxed fit and can be worn over other garments.
Shrug/ Belt Abaya: A belt or sash around the waist gives the Belted Abaya design a more fitting and structured appearance. There are several ways to tie the belt to spice up the ensemble.
Kaftan Abaya: This style of abaya gives a distinctive silhouette and a contemporary take on the traditional pattern. It is distinguished by broad, flowing sleeves.
Zip Abaya: This style of abaya is renowned for its cozy, flexible fit fabric. It comes with a zipper at the front, and offers variety of colors and patterns and is frequently worn for daily wear.
Abaya with Flare: In this style, the abaya's bottom widens outward, creating a flared silhouette. It gives the outfit a hint of elegance and movement.
Embroidered Abaya: Often worn for special occasions or gatherings, this style of abaya is decorated with elaborate embroidery or ornaments. Depending on the wearer's preference, the embroidery might be simple or intricate.
Printed Abaya: Printed abayas, with their numerous designs, patterns, and colors, have revolutionized the traditional black abaya landscape, offering a canvas for artistic expression while retaining the modesty and sophistication they are renowned for.
Jilbab Abaya:  Jilbab abaya is typically a long robe or dress that covers the entire body except for the face, hands, and feet. It is designed to adhere to the Islamic principles of modesty and decency. It was prevalent in many Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures for centuries.
Keffiyeh Abaya: Keffiyeh Abaya represents a beautiful fusion of the cultural traditional headdress worn by the people in Palestine with modern flair and fashion, embodying both tradition and contemporary style. Its rise in popularity has been fueled by a global movement of solidarity with the Palestinian people, serving as a symbolic expression of support. Nabia stands at the forefront of this movement, passionately advocating for unity and compassion.
There are a wide range of abayas, most customers get it customized according to their taste and preferences.
What are the features of an abaya?
Long Length: To fully conceal the body, abayas are usually long, extending to the ankles or even the floor.
Loose Fit: They are made to fit loosely to guarantee comfort and modesty while facilitating freedom of movement.
Full Sleeves: Abayas often have long sleeves that fully enclose the arms.
Closed Front: While contemporary abayas may have buttons, zippers, or snaps for closing, traditional abayas frequently have a closed front with no openings.
Simple Design: While some abayas have embellishments like sequins, beads, or embroidery, many are more straightforward in design, with few decorations and clean lines.
High Neckline: To cover the chest area, abayas usually have a high neckline.
Versatile Material: Abayas can be fashioned from a wide range of materials, such as heavier materials like wool for colder climes and lighter materials like chiffon for warmer weather.
Are abaya, niqab and burqa the same?
No, Abaya, Niqab and Burqa are similar with distinctive features.
What is the difference between an abaya and a burqa?
Abaya: Some Muslim women cover their bodies with an abaya, which is a long, baggy robe. With the exception of the face, feet, and hands, it usually covers the entire body. Abayas are available in a variety of designs and styles, from classic and basic to chic and contemporary.
Burqa: Some Muslim women, especially those in Afghanistan and certain regions of Pakistan, dress in burqas. The entire body, including the face, is covered, and the eyes are protected from view by a mesh panel or grille. In conservative areas, the burqa is usually worn, and in some places, it is linked to traditional customs.
What is the difference between an abaya and a niqab?
Abaya: Some Muslim women cover their bodies with an abaya, which is a long, baggy robe. With the exception of the face, feet, and hands, it usually covers the entire body. Abayas are available in a variety of designs and styles, from classic and basic to chic and contemporary.
Niqab: Some Muslim women cover their faces with a niqab, which is a face veil that only shows the eyes. It is frequently worn with other modest apparel, including a hijab or abaya. The niqab, which is worn for modesty, comes in several styles; some leave an opening for the eyes, while others cover the complete face.
Where can you buy an abaya?

How a Muslimah Should Carry Herself
Shy : it will save her fitnah (temptation).
Quiet : she should not be loud, especally in public.
Be unknown : does not seek popularity. Unheard of to the creation, but known by Allāh ﷻ and His angels.
Dress modestly : she covers her awrah, has haya' (shyness), and does not display for herself for everyone to see.
Feminine : not a feminist. She follows the laws ordered by Allāh ﷻ, not the laws of man.
Does not seek attention : not desire for attention or recognition. Pleases the Creator, not the creation.
Has self-respect : focuses on guarding and preserving herself.
Stays at home : prioritize home life, only goes out when necessary. She travels with a mahram for safety. And she covers her awrah when going out.
How a Muslim Man Should Carry Himself
Modest : follows the Islamic guidelines on covering the male awrah, and lowers his gaze.
Humble : pratices humility, avoiding arrogance and riya' (showing off).
Respects women : treats all women with kindness and respect, not just those who he's attracted too.
Pious : devotes himself to worship and follows Islamic teachings, and the Quran & Sunnah.
Responsible : takes responsibility for his actions and fulfills his obligations as a Muslim man.
Exemplary : strives to be a positive role model for others, and follows the way of Rasulullah ﷺ.
Has gheerah : he is not dayooth (cuck), he has protective jealousy over his womenfolk.

I need your help! I need a Turkish name. I believe my future lies in the beautiful country that is Turkey. A blend of Islamic purity, but with enough western influence that I can continue to dress in modest but stylish clothing. While I do wear hijab daily, the need to wear a headscarf isn't enforced. And where the men treat their women like princesses.
Time to plan

Hello,
I am a light skinned, blonde haired guy living in Europe. Unfortunately am unable to grow a full beard. What can I do to look more Arab? At least when I put gel in my hair it looks a bit darker. Besides clothing I would love to have some advice on what hair styles I can adopt and how I can make my physical appearance and face look more Arabic as well
As Salamu Alaykum Akhi 💚
Brother, to conform with our islamic brothers a clean shaved head is often used to remove the obsession of vanity for hair and wear a simple prayer cap. 💚 You need to keep your dress modest brother. Think of the thobe and ensure your awrah is covered at all times. You should do some exercises to build your body as a strong vessel. Remember not to cover your ankles with your trousers. 💚
Convert to the Brotherhood and you will start on the path to Arabisation brother. 💚
