my headcanon is that Ralph ABSOLUTELY cannot dress, and I’ve been picturing him wearing the most obnoxious 2016 swag fit. I don’t think I made it nearly obnoxious enough, but I tried and that’s all that matters.

simon has pigtails idk I just wanted to draw him that way. And I made sure to give Jack the most British haircut I could think of. I haven’t drawn the others yet…

LOTFTOBER, DAY 11 : Graphic Novel

I love the art in the graphic novel dude, it’s just ✨ chef’s kiss, yk?

anyway, I had this idea that I’m dubbing the Fliesverse or Lotfverse if you wanna be fancy.

It’s like Spiderverse; it accounts for both LotF movies, the book, the graphic novel, the play, and all AUs people have and have created.

For example, my AU is what I call the ‘New AU’ bcz it’s based off the play my school is doing for LotF and there’s new characters that were added for the larger cast. I’ll talk about said newbies later.

So yeah, just kind of an interesting idea that I had about like a few weeks ago. I mean— think of all the cross-overs you could do between them. I think it’s interesting, but idk

that’s all I had for this day, I’ll get out stuff about my OC as soon as possible; I think you’ll all love TJ!! =]

Ralph burnt some crystals whilst using a bunsen burner (again) during chemistry and caused the fire alarm to go off. Simon witnessed it and couldn’t do anything about it because he isn’t Jack sadly.

Peter: This is the nth time we’ve stood on the school field for more than 15 minutes because of Ralph, how are the firefighters not sick of him yet?

Maurice: I just can’t wait to see Jack’s reaction!

Sam: Now I’ve missed food tech :(

Lord of the Flies modern au.

Simon wakes up with sleep paralysis.

It's dark and suffocating.

He feels wet creepers and foliage against his face and body as he goes on in the sultry darkness. Ahead of him is a flickering light from a bonfire he can never reach.

Simon hears voices. Laughter. Chants like from the Sunday masses. But the words don't make it to his understanding.

He tries to call, but his voice doesn't come out.

He shouts.

Screams.

But he makes no sound.

He becomes strangely aware of how loud his heart is beating.

The fire gleams with every beat, but he never gets close.

Darkness crumbles around him. Hugs him. He tries to call someone.

Nobody hears him.

The branches and foliage become denser. Thicker. It have fingers and hands and sharp claws.

And it hold his arms and push and pull on him.

He needs to get to the bonfire.

He needs to get to the voices.

He needs to tell them something.

But he has no voice.

And the hands and claws don't let him move.

His heart is drumming. It beats in his throat and he feels that pulsing ball preventing him from breathing.

His voice doesn't come out.

Hands and claws hurt his arms and legs. They scratch his body. They pull him from side to side. He want to tell them to let go, but they don't listen to him. The dark hands have no face. He has no voice.

Mass chants echoes and sounds like waves.

He seems to be falling now.

Or floating.

He tries to scream and water gets in his mouth.

He has no voice.

He tries to scream still but more water come in.

Salt.

Ice cold.

The bonfire is getting distant. Far away.

It's cold now and the hands are pulling him to the bottom of the darkness.

He can't scream.

He can't breathe.

He has no voice.

Simon opens his eyes slowly - a false peaceful awakening.

Everything is dark.

For an instant he still sees the dark hands clutching him and the distant fire. Then he is staring at his bedroom ceiling.

His heart is pounding in his chest, but his breath isn't keeping up to it. He can't breathe enough.

He can't get enough air.

But he is peacefuly laying on his back.

He tries to move, but his body won't obey. He's scary. A unnameable fear posses his mind. He tries to call someone. But only his eyes move, searching for God knows what in the darkness of his bedroom.

He can't tell if he's awake or not. He can't feel his body. But he feels a painful tingle creeping up his immobile limbs. From his fingertips, through his arms and legs.

He can't breathe enough. He feels dizzy.

The tingling of his body now becomes painful. Like needles and then spears piercing him.

He struggles to move. No reaction, only more painful tinglings. He looks in all directions because his eyes are the only part of his body that seems alive now.

There's something heavy in your chest that prevents you from breathing deeply. But he feels like floeating.

He can't say for how long that last. Feels like an eternity. Maybe a few seconds.

When he finally manages to move his head to the side, he manages to take a deep breath too. And with the air come the control of his muscles.

His whole body is still tingling terribly and every movement is a torture.

But he moves.

He can move.

He turns on his side and curls up. And take a deep breath again. And again. And again. His heart slowly calms down.

And he tests his voice softly.

"... Hullo...?"

He let out a soft, shy smile at the sound of his voice.

And sings quietly to himself staring into the night.

Simon is afraid to close his eyes and not open them again. He is afraid that the little air he can breathe will be his last. He is afraid of something unspeakable.

And he is afraid to think about it.

He thinks of his friends from the Church choir instead.

And sings to himself.

Roger - doesn’t know where to buy skull decorations so buys them from the fish section at the local pet shop

Piggy - knows TO AN EXACT how many books he can put in every bag he owns

Sam - only buys things from actual people on ebay and not the company’s for ‘the feeling’

Eric - owns TONES of posters but only a few are actually up

Maurice - secretly loves all the adult swim cartoons that are considered ‘trashy’ like robot chicken

Set in the USA, specifically Oregon. Am willing (and wanting) to explain my reasoning for each and every one of these, so please ask!!!

-is extremely popular

-very very nice and polite but does have a slight mean streak

-excels in group projects, is ass at essays

-17, a junior

-april taurus

-good at math, bad at english

-moved to oregon from california to go live with relatives around the same time that jack moved from connecticut

-mom dead, dad only present on christmas and whenever he remembers ralph’s birthday

-on both the soccer and lacrosse teams, but prioritizes soccer

-good at running

-had a string of girlfriends, but is currently single

-mostly dates girls from the track team, so a few girls have joined the track team just to try and up their chances

-has a tendency to make friends with losers and/or loners

-only child but wishes he wasn’t

-4.0 gpa (not counting AP classes)

Ralph still thinks Simon's alive, so I drew Ralph having mental hauntings of Simon in his sleep, then crying about it later to Jack.

I spent too long on the first drawing, that my iPad went to 10% by the second drawing. So it's just a stinky colored sketch

OFCCC!! i wrote a lot more about this than i thought i could, and i feel like i could keep going but i do wish to go to sleep! ty for the ask! (there was also an anon ask with this question, idk if it was you, but i'm just gonna answer this one lol)

the choir boys all know each other irl (obvi they still have choir together). everyone lives roughly in the same vicinity, but no one knows that.

they all met online during the pandemic. possibly through video games, twitter, or tiktok

how did this ragtag group of people all become friends? idk fortnite probably

i don't know much about fortnite, but it seems like it would start some friendships and/or rivalries. maybe minecraft or roblox too.

how they met and became friends is hazy, like how the beta kids became friends in homestuck. point is: they're all friends. pretty much.

some boys are closer friends than others, but they're all mutuals. they're all in like the same community. what community? that is a good question i should probably think of an answer

piggy uses the nickname people bullied him with as his online name. he gets cyberbullied and has ended up on many a cringe account, but it doesn't really bother him anymore. he likes to spread information, but he was a little self-righteous about it before he quit twitter. now he argues with people on instagram. piggy's also a redditor.

ralph usually just watches other people's content, but sometimes he'll post something and it'll get pretty popular because he's ralph and being well-liked is an innate part of his character. ralph does prefer to go out and do stuff than being online all the time.

simon is chronically online. being shy, he gravitated towards the internet. he's definitely a fandom girlie and has a tumblr (hi tumblr). he spreads positivity on the internet all the time. he's one of the good ones fr. i do hc simon as a Christian, so he does spread the Word a lot as an lgbtq affirming Christian dude

jack doesn't spend too much time on the internet. he also isn't allowed a lot of these medias by his parents, so that may have something to do with it. he does get upset when his posts don't get as many likes as ralph's

roger ragebaits and leaves hate comments all the time, but he has moments where he's nice. maurice memer obviously. sam and eric are the voros twins. i don't have too many thoughts about these guys just yet

meeting each other irl for the first time led to the utter disgust at ralph's blindness in the fashion department

ok onto them reading lord of the flies cause i think this is such a funny concept

they all miraculously start reading lord of the flies as a class assignment at the same time

they all tell each other this and they're all like "loooool that's crazy we're all reading the same book at the same time"

i saw someone on my last post ab this say exactly what im about to say. it is truly the only way to go with this.

everyone's all "oh haha ralph's got the name of the first character AND he's blonde!" "piggy has the same name as peter's online name! haha how sill-" "WHY IS MY FULL LEGAL NAME IN THIS BOOK???"

the exact names and character descriptions matching up a little too well with the boys startles them, but they still joke about it A LOT.

i mean, think about it, if you were forced to read this book in class and you find out you and your friends are basically the main characters, you would NOT stop cracking jokes about it.

they do start to get a little more freaked out when, yk, stuff starts going down in the book and they have to analyze it.

piggy's eventually like "OK we, or at least i, have got to figure this out." and he goes and does some research.

i do headcanon a lot of the boys as queer, but my hcs of them as gen z-ers do differ a little from my hcs of them as gen silencers.

piggy is a strict ally, his aunt is an ally, allies all around, until he realizes he is not so straight as he seems and is not really just an ally. bisexual

ralph knows nothing about the sexuality and gender biz he just does what feels right. he's pretty much demisexual/romantic tho.

simon is a gay dude. he is gnc and on the trans spectrum somewhere

jack is the only one using queer slurs, everyone gets onto him for it. he's gay, but he doesn't know it/won't accept it (because everyone in his life is HOMOPHOBIC!!!). when he does finally accept it, he is still using those slurs as slurs he is not reclaiming them.

ralph- when he was younger he would go as pirates, vikings, or a superhero but when he’s older he just puts on his dads uniform to look cool at a party

jack- prince or angel as a kid (it’s only fitting!) and as an adult priest or niche serial killer from a movie nobody knows

simon- if ralph or the choir wants to group costume he’ll go along with it but by himself he just goes as a bear or zebra (OR LIZARD!!! 90S MOVIE REFF!!)

piggy- amelia earhart every year without fail- it’s not like he wears a long wig so he could just play it off as regular pilot but he makes it KNOWN he’s amelia earhart and then starts yapping about his theories

roger- does not want to put more than 50% effort but he still wants to scare little kids so he goes as micheal myers-for half the night he stands in front of his house pretending to be a statue and then jumps at people

maurice- clown, zombie or like used qtip idk

samneric- salt n pepper, mustard n ketchup, the usual duo costumes when they get older they seperate but it usually has some correlation if you dig deep enough
