In Timeless, Adonis has invited Connie as his date to the Lord Mayor's Christmas party. Wolf was encouraged (in the end, more like dared, because brothers be brothers) to invite Bess (as merely close friends, of course) and she accepted.
Let's dress our guys and dolls up and rp a little!

WELL. 90s and modern day AU looks for Scrooge and Marley.
I played around with modernizing their facial hair as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clean shaven for Scrooge. Marley gets to keep the mustache because he's mentally still in the 80s anyway.
I... surprisingly don't hate it?

The Sky is Full of Light, Swirling in Spirals Bold and Bright (Modern AU Jacob/Ebenezer)
A separate Modern AU Scrooge x Marley thing set in 2011 I have had in the works for a while and I felt I had to share the hurt/comfort with you all. Prepare for lots of comfort and lots of hurt.
TW: Child Abandonment
(UNDER THE CUT)
Say what you will about the rain or the fog or the pollution, but there was no denying that Canary Wharf was beautiful on a snowy night.
It was customary for both of them, Jacob and Ebenezer supposed, to walk the path of the Thames on their Sunday strolls. No matter the busyness of life that accompanied them wherever they went or whenever the frosty December air nipped at their cheeks, this had been a constant. A constant in a continuously changing world that tended to leave old souls like them far behind. There was nothing more inherently magical than watching the beauty of the moonlight, bold and bright, dance across the reflection of the water, shifting and changing like the tides of the ocean. Towering buildings looming over like sentinels, secret and solitary, kept their mysteries hidden behind illuminated windows. Manufactured, ersatz stars in a city that often blocked out the real ones.
Jacob believed the financial district a modern wonder of the world. Ebenezer believed it a testament to the ingenuity of the human mind. But both knew it to be a home to the sprawling empire they built together with their blood, sweat and tears. A way to prove to the world that they would not be shackled by the chains of a flawed society. It was imperfect and rough and dented and bandaged and healed and beautiful. It was so… so beautiful. No one would take it away, even if they had to fight tooth and nail to protect it.
The distant sounds of traffic faded away as their feet gently crunched through the fresh snowfall, walking in companionable silence as the pavement was blanketed in the purest white.
“Hey Ben… you wanna grab dinner while we’re out?” Jacob asked, looking up at his husband, his voice barely above a whisper against the tranquil backdrop of the winter night. His cane — now more an accessory than the aid it had been in recent months — rested under his arm.
“Mm… sure.” Ebenezer’s voice was muffled against the thick, colourful scarf wound tightly around his neck, lips hidden beneath the fabric. “It’s half-past nine, though. Not many options.”
“What about Big Easy?”
Ebenezer let out an uncharacteristic snort. “Christ’s sake Jacob, we’ve been there a hundred times at least! Sooner or later, I’ll wake up and find you’ve become part of the menu.”
It didn’t go unnoticed how their gloved hands locked together, Jacob pulling him a little closer, shoulders brushing as he leaned against Ebenezer as he beamed with a grin to rival the Cheshire Cat’s infamous quirk.
“You mean you wouldn’t love me as a lobster?” He asked, his voice whiny and hurt despite the clear smile.
Ebenezer rolled his eyes playfully at Jacob’s antics, elbowing him slightly. “Only if you came with a side of butter. Maybe then I’d consider it.”
Jacob laughed. “You drive a hard bargain, love, but I’ll take it if it means I get to see you smile like that.”
Damn it, over three decades of knowing this lovable bastard of a man and still the Silver-Tongued Viper could be one hell of a charmer when he wanted to be. Ebenezer had to concede to his wit when he felt his heart flutter with stupidly sincere warmth and affection, and he could feel his lips tug upwards into a smile despite his ‘best’ efforts to maintain that impish frown upon his face.
It was disgustingly cute. It was maddeningly sweet. It was incredibly endearing. It was them.
And wouldn’t you know it, but for the first time in a long time, they liked being them.
Conversation flowed easily between the both of them, touching on subjects that happened to strike their fancy. Expanding into Asian markets when the year turned,  whether Home Alone or Elf would be their chosen movie for the season, even the upcoming charity gala they planned to host for those unable to celebrate the holidays with loved ones. Those pedestrians who passed them by looked as if they had gone mad from how uncanny it was. How could they not? Look at the way they handled themselves as if there wasn’t a care in the world! Look at the merriment that had been remarkably absent from the bustling city’s harried inhabitants! Look at how such wondrous, wonderful wanderers of the world held the sparkle of London’s lights captive in their eyes! It was the purest form of adoration, the kind of contentment only developed from years of trials and hardships.
As the clock drew closer to ten, they found themselves treading upon a quieter, less-frequented stretch of path, the snow intensifying and blanketing the city deeper around them in an angel’s caress. Their discussions grew more hushed, then, the intimacy of the night only deepening their connection, as if all the worries and cruelty of the past had been washed away like the river they walked alongside.
SIlence soon overtook their words… and it was in that comfortable silence that they heard it.
Jacob noticed the way Ebenezer seemed to freeze for a moment, his powerful stride slowing to a hesitant shuffle. It was a whimper so weak, a plaintive cry so faint that one would’ve mistaken it for the icy breeze had it not been for the notes of distress and the rustles of fern that accompanied it.
“Is something wrong, Ben?”
He didn’t answer, instead moving forward with cautious steps. The rustling and whimpering continued, and Ebenezer lowered himself down to the ground, snow seeping into his trousers as he inspected a cluster of bushes near the path. Jacob followed close behind, leaning against his cane for support.
In the dim moonlight, Ebenezer’s gloved fingers gently brushed away the dense thicket, snow crunching beneath his touch. The cries were more prominent now, high-pitched and shrill. The kind of sounds that pierced the heart and demanded attention, needs and comfort.
The pained cries of an infant. An infant no more than a few months old, bundled up in a thin pink blanket ripped to shreds by the thorns of the surrounding bush. Her shut eyes were red and blotchy from crying, her tiny fists clenched and raised helplessly in the air. She appeared to sense a saviour, and her lips quivered as she let out another desperate wail.
“Mother-love in infancy and childhood is just as important for mental health as are vitamins and proteins for physical health.”
“Holy shit- Ben, get the kid out of there!”
Ebenezer’s heart raced as he carefully reached into the thorny bush, cradling the baby girl gently into his arms, careful not to disturb her more than necessary. She was so small, so fragile, so thin, so cold… and already she had been exposed to the harshness of the world that took years to corrupt them.
It wasn’t fair.
It wasn’t fair.
“Jacob, call 999. Now.” Ebenezer instructed, holding the babe close to his chest. His voice seemed monotonous and unnatural, as cold as the air around him and as distant as the hum of the city. Flat. Still.
But the ocean was never still. The ocean was never calm. The wind howled and the waters rose with every minute that passed, ever furious and ever ruthless. Poseidon was angered by the cunning Odysseus’ transgressions against his child, and the lord of the seas raged against the wretched, lamentable mortals who thought themselves beyond divine punishment.
There was no justice. No salvation. No love for this life barely living. What cutting fangs would this monster have? What savage roar would follow it wherever it went? What weaknesses could be exploited from this dangerous beast? What weapons would be needed to slay it?
Jacob fumbled for his phone, throwing off one of his gloves as trembling fingers dialled for emergency services. Ebenezer heard naught of what was said, deafened by the piercing cries of the child in his arms, frantic in her fearful communication, overwrought in her outpour of mournful wails.
“They’re on their way, Ben.” The words spilling out of Jacob’s mouth was barely coherent in his speed, but it was enough to Ebenezer all the same.
“Hold her, Jake.”
“Wh-”
“Just do it.”
Jacob nodded, taking the shivering infant into his arms, shielding her beneath his jacket. She whimpered under the sudden shift of movement from beneath her, but the warmth of his embrace seemed to garner some comfort. She settled into his hold, her tiny fingers grasping at one of his exposed digits, clinging onto it as if it was a lifeline.
Ebenezer swiftly unfurled the scarf wrapped around him, the tassels flinging about in the breeze from the rough force of his movements. But his touch was lighter as a feather as he cocooned the little girl, bundling her up from the snow that only seemed to fall faster with each passing moment.
“Shh… it’s okay, little one.” He cooed, fingers brushing over the delicate skin of her cheek as he adjusted the scarf around her tiny form. “You’re safe now.”
The baby's cries began to subside, her eyes blinking open to reveal a pair of the most innocent, wide-eyed amber orbs that Ebenezer had ever seen. It was like honey. It was like spiralling gold, shimmering against smokey hues of white and grey.
Jacob looked up to his husband, his lower lip quivering as he held her close. “Can it really be said that such a small and innocent thing is safe, Ben?”
But when his gaze was met with a burning determination- a whirlpool of resolve… he’d known the beast had awakened within. He knew that when Ebenezer Scrooge set his mind to something…
…it was almost surely a success.
“We don’t live alone. We are members of one body. We are responsible for each other. And I tell you that the time will soon come when, if men will not learn that lesson, then they will be taught in fire and blood and anguish.”
They stayed with her when the sirens began to close in. They stayed with her when the paramedics arrived to examine her. They stayed with her as the authorities questioned them for information. They stayed with her even as she was taken away to the hospital to receive proper care.
And she’d never know of her bloodline, not one bit of them or their cruelty. Not their names or their birthdays, their eye colour, blood type, hair. Not their favourite shoes or shows, their favourite foods or the stories and lullabies they might have sung in another life. All she would know is the kindness of two old, damaged, trying men who found her in the snow ‘neath the moonlight.
For all she knew, they would be her parents.
And that… that would be more than enough for her.
“...Good night.” Tagged: @rom-e-o @a-christmas-carol-from-hr @quill-pen @undeadchestnut @m0nsterwife

Birthday party for Donald, Daisy and Della Duck! - Happy Birthday Donald, Daisy and Della Duck - Ducktales 2017 - Duckverse June - Week 1 - My Version - Gift for my friends
I drew on June 7th. After a long time, I decided to draw again related to Ducktales 2017, even though I'm not a fan of that series, but as they say everyone deserves a second chance. Is not it? So I decided to draw related to the great jubilee that is being celebrated these days and of course the favorite modern series by many, so I decided to draw Donald Duck, Della Duck and Daisy Duck with their family in Ducktales 2017 format, of course in my style. Because I'm not a fan of Ducktales 2017 style which is really weird for me.
On June 7, 1940, Donald's classic short "Mr Duck Steps Out" was shown, featuring Daisy Duck for the first time. 9/6/1934 The Classic Short "The Wise Little Hen" was shown and Donald Duck appeared there for the first time. Donald Duck will become one of the main stars of not only Disney, but also cartoon films, comics and video games at all. Certainly there is no need to tell his history. Della Duck is first mentioned in the comic book Donald's Nephews, and then made her first appearance in the 1994 comic strip "The Empire Builder from Calisota" by Don Rosa, from The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. For the first time Della Duck appeared as a mother and adult woman and had a role in the Dutch comic "80 is Prachtig" from 2014, and she appears for the first time in animation in the Ducktales reboot. Also five years ago is the anniversary of the episode "What Ever Happened to Della Duck?!" where officially Della Duck got her role.
Well, since they are honored these days, and especially Donald Duck who is celebrating his 90th anniversary this year, I drew a birthday party where everyone celebrates their birthdays together. Donald, Daisy and Della Duck along with their family and their friends. Because what kind of birthday is it, without your closest ones. Yes, Donald is in the middle since he is definitely the main one, but he suffered a lot in that series so he definitely deserved the best. Finally, that Donald is happy after a long time and can finally rest. Yes, this is how I imagine the end of Ducktales 2017. And with him are his twin sister Della and his favorite love and girlfriend Daisy Duck. Yes, I also drew the characters as I like to imagine them in my Ducktales AU and Quack Pack reboot based on Ducktales 2017 as well as different outfits that would suit them quite well. Since I can't think of anything else, sorry, and I added Donald's nephews also wear caps and most of them wear jeans. Huey and Louie wear backwards hats. Yes, they are teenagers here too. :D And in front of Donald, of course, a birthday cake with cherries.
In addition to Donald, Daisy, and Della Duck, there are Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck, plus Phooey Duck and Kabooie or Kablooie Duck (Donald's fifth nephew, usually wearing brown clothing), Gosalyn Mallard (who is with Huey), Webby Vanderquack and Lena De Spell (Sabrewing, otherwise they are together), May and June Duck, Violet Sabrewing, Scrooge McDuck, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera and Gandra Dee, Gladstone Gander, Fethry Duck, Drake Mallard, Launchpad McQuack, Gyro Gearloose (to draw alone how he smiles I didn't think I'd ever do this), Boyd Beaks-Gearloose and Bentina Beakley. And everyone together celebrates the important birthdays of the most important Ducktales characters. Adults and children together. Happy birthday to you Donald, Daisy and Della Duck!
If you are interested in more about these outfits, check out this drawing here: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/742447670629744640/quack-pack-week-quack-pack-original-vs-quack

Feel free to like and reblog, if you like this drawing and this version of the Ducktales characters, please also don't use the same versions without mentioning me. Thank you! Happy Birthday Donald, Daisy and Della Duck once again!
I also did this related to Duckverse June, so I'm dedicating this drawing as a gift to @tokuvivor , @secret-tester and @queer-in-a-cornfield . I also dedicate my gift to my friend from Discord, for @puffyducks @puffywuffy8904 who celebrated his birthday a month ago, and I wish him a happy birthday and sorry for the delay! Also, this is a gift for my friend @boingodigitalart, as well as for all of you who are fans of Ducktales 2017.

I'm sure you've been asked this before, but for us Anglophones following you, can you recommend some good Italian comics to read?
OH BOY ARE YOU READY FOR A LIST
GRAPHIC NOVELS
Zerocalcare's works in general is incredible and the "easiest" answer since hes arguably the one author that brought italian comics back to life. Just pick one of his works theyre all great
"La Terra, il Cielo e i Corvi" by Stefano Turconi and Teresa Radice, that talks about three soldiers in opposite sides during war escaping together. Broke me fr fr
"Troppo facile amarti in vacanza" by Gaicomo Bevilacqua. Post-apocalyptic italy and huge satire of rich people. Highly recommend
"Il Mare Verticale" by Brian Freschi and Ilaria Urbinati, that talks about a teacher dealing with severe anxiety and panic attacks. Incredibly good. Made me cry during work
"Identiche Diversità" again by Bevilacqua is actually a huge collab of many modern italian comic authors and its very funny so thats a good way to get introduced to a lot of them!!!
Honestly pick anything published by Bao Editori and chances are its very good
EPISODIC AND STRIPS
look i nees to talk about W.I.T.C.H. if youre into magical girls. I generally tell people to stop reading after the book saga is over but the first sagas are still very good
PK!!! Aka what if Paperinik aka donald duck superhero AU was sci-fi and lowkey horror and it fucked severly actually
Monster Allergy was great too and I should reread it too someday
for something a lil older, Alan Ford is very fun and has hints of mystery every now and then
Sturmtruppen if you like satire and more dark humor, they're comic strips based on world war II iirc and they make fun of Literally Everyone
Lupo Alberto is also quite satirical of more "modern" topics every now and then, but mostly its shenanigans involving farm animals. Literally Beastars before Beastars
DYLAN DOG READ DYLAN DOG ITS VERY CREEPY AND GOOD
I'm not a big fan but honestly if you like more old-timey comics with a more realistic stuff anything published by Sergio Bonelli Editore is.okay ig. Cant say it aged gracefully skfkgog
...and yea okay the scrooge, donald and paperinik comics from Topolino are still fun every now and then :^)

BOO!!! Did I scare you? What's Halloween like in timewarp au? What's the gangs first experiences with it, and do others help the ones experiencing it for the first time navigate the holidays? Also sorry for being the insane Micah bell fan in your asks but does Micah get a Scrooge moment for each Holiday
yes you terrified me silly
Bessie is so careful to explain Halloween because children in costume approaching house full of gang of outlaws that are used to shooting people who come on their camp 'territory' on sight is a recipe for a goddamned disaster. Like sit down conversation breaking down the concept and answering all their questions and begging them not to eat all the candy because it's socially acceptable to egg the houses of people who do not provide candy and various other tricks.
The 1899 gang are all together for their first Halloween and do end up loving it. Lenny forces Sean and Jenny to dress up in matching Dorothy, tinman and scarecrow costumes and go out clubbing. Hosea and Bessie go out for a fancy Halloween dinner party dressed to the nines like 19th century aristocracy.
Arthur gets to take Isaac trick or treating just wearing his actual timewarped clothes complete with replacement gunslinger hat (rip he never gets His hat back).
Kieran contently watches horror movies alone snickering to himself about how fake the effects look only to still scream in terror and need to be talked through a panic attack when Bessie and Hosea got home.
--
The whole gang come around to the idea of Halloween, only because 90% of them see it as a chance to wear their pre-timewarp clothes and get drunk.
John dresses as a pinkerton one year because Abigail Jr insisted on dressing up as her daddy the rancher and wearing John's timewarp clothes. His justification was it was the scariest thing he could think of, which still did not save him from nearly getting his nose broken when he went up behind Arthur and shouted 'this is the pinkerton detective agency!'.
At Abigail Jr's insistence Abigail is almost always dressed as some variation of princess goddess fairy queen angel. She then blank stared at John and said he had to be dressed as the frog prince but still as an ugly frog no one knows is a prince. She wanted to dress as a witch.
They usually do some sort of get together for Halloween, because there's something really innocent and fun (read: cathartically traumatizing) about being able to see each other in their canon era clothing. Of course, some still insist on dressing up but that's just as fun.
With the additions of Karen and their daughter Maeve, the MacSummers quartet+child finally complete Lenny's vision of a full wizard of oz group costume. Before anyone could poke fun of them for making Maeve dress as Toto they realized she absolutely insisted on dressing as Toto as an excuse to bite people. Sean is very proud of her. Karen also insists on being a sexy cowardly lion.
Arthur and Charles going on modern era dates in their canon era clothes making up for all the time they didn't get to have being in a relationship in canon era. Big scary outlaws having milkshakes at a 24 hour diner.
Between Abigail Jr being a witch and Maeve being Toto no one was save from bitten or whacked with a magic wand as Abigail Jr cursed them.
Micah in the club in outlaw garb getting offended when he boasts his costume is the famed gunslinger Micah Bell III only to be met with blank stares and 'who??'.
Isaac and Jack, who of course dressed as the fabulous killjoys, also go hang out with Isaac's gang and will absolutely be arrested for graffiti and trespass that is escalated to destruction of property when it is discovered they mixed sugar into the still-wet concrete slab of a commercial site being built on what should have been protected land.
At least once someone dressed as an O'Driscoll. Fuck it it was probably Micah and Sadie almost sent him to the next life before she realized it was Micah and was still contemplating using it as an excuse to kill Micah when Kieran, to everyone's surprise and slight pride, absolutely walloped him with a two by four and Micah spent the rest of Halloween in emergency with a concussion.

🦅🇺🇲🎆July 4th in modern Scrooge household🎆🇺🇸🦅:
Bright and early wake up call of 🎶AMERICA--FUCK YEAH!!!🎶
Ebenezer surrounded by five Americans decked out in red, white, and blue, stars and stripes, eagles, other U.S. icon bearing articles of clothing and face paint. (Millie is definitely running around with a U.S.A. flag cape.)
Ebenezer surrounded by Americans making eagle calls all day. "You hear that? It's the wild call of FREEDOM!"
Ebenezer being surrounded by Americans who randomly scream iconic American lines all day: "Don't tread on me!", "No taxation with representation!", "The British are coming!", "FREEDOM!!!" (Eb: You know that's more associated with 'Braveheart'?), etc.
Thankfully the kids' surprise tea dumping ceremony to simulate the Boston Tea Party only ever happened once, otherwise the pool would be wrecked. But Eb has begun to refrain from drinking tea on this day to avoid teasing about the Party.
Really bad American freedom "jokes": "What did King George III say?" "I don't know, what-" "Who cares?! FREEDOM!!! *eagle screech*"
Pictures of the Queen/King have definitely been covered up with Google printouts of American presidents.
The house's sound-system continuously plays patriotic, American songs all day.
Picnic in the countryside with blue rock shooting. (SO MUCH "FREEDOM!" AND "'MURICA!" THROWN AROUND.)
ONLY ICONIC AMERICAN FOOD IS THE MENU FOR THE DAY. (Eb has actually come to enjoy the biscuits and gravy for breakfast.)
Only American vernacular in the house. "Biscuits" are "cookies" for example--you will be corrected, probably with an eagle cry.
Fireworks display on TV to close off the day.
Definitely a "revolutionary war" in the bedroom that night. (Only both sides win.😏)

One Breakfast At A Time -Modern!AU (Costance/Ebenezer) (Minific)
Morning light, diffused by the early morning clouds into a rosy glow that draped across London like a diaphanous net, seeped through the curtains. Ebenezer Scrooge, very much alert but moving the speed of molasses, inched out of his lover’s embrace without waking her, unwinding himself from the tangle or arms and bedsheets.
Constance DoGoode, his girlfriend of half a year, snoozed happily, smiling against her pillow as she turned away from the rays of sunlight seeping through the curtains.
She hugged the stuffed, silk-covered pillow beneath her head, auburn hair cascading down the milky fabric in waves of molten copper.
“Mmm….light as a feather, happy as an angel…” Constance mumbled in her sleep. “Mm, very merry…”
Tumblr media
His hand went to his mouth as he chuckled with the utmost fondness at the sight. Constance was a heavy sleeper and dreamer, he’d learned. She often talked in her sleep, and he couldn’t help but be curious as to what she was dreaming about.
In addition to providing a series of amusing moments he’d often reveal to her later that morning, her murmuring also helped to confirm her lingering distraction.
With her still asleep, he could jump into action.
After making sure Constance was still asleep, he moved with quiet grace and giddiness to the kitchen of his London flat, collecting ingredients from the fridge and utensils to prepare a special breakfast. Their night together had been a private symphony of sighs, moans, and laughter, and now Ebenezer was determined to make the morning just as memorable.
With care, he selected fresh eggs, ripe tomatoes, and a medley of herbs from the kitchen's small garden, which he kept on a small windowsill. Years ago, he would have scoffed at the idea of stocking his kitchen so fully. Fresh food was a waste of money, as far as he’d been concerned. Now, the redeemed philanthropist couldn't help but smile to himself as he went about cooking, eager to surprise her with a homemade breakfast.
It wasn’t much, he supposed. He was no chef, but he took great joy in cooking for the woman he loved. It was the first time he’d done something like this for another, but he’d been planning the surprise for a week, when he’d used her late-shift at the coffee house as the opportunity to sneak some ingredients from the market and up into his fridge before leaving again to pick her up.
Predictably, she’d spent the night, so he was glad to have planned ahead.
In the cozy kitchen, he hummed a gentle tune as he worked. The clinking of dishes and the sizzle of ingredients provided a domestic harmony alongside him.
Meanwhile, Constance stirred in the bedroom, awakening to the comforting and savory scents wafting through the air. She stretched and yawned, her eyes fluttering open to the soft light that spilled into the room.
She shivered a bit, bare from their time together the night before, and reached across the bed for her discarded pajamas. She eased into the silk short and matching camisole with ease before retreating back to the warmth of the covers. It was tempting to roll over into her boyfriend's abandoned spot, where she knew the aroma of his cologne
Just as she nestled back in, she heard the clinking of cutlery and creak of soft footsteps on the flat’s historic hardwood floors.
Ebenezer entered the bedroom, a tray balanced in his hands with an array of delectable treats. A soft smile played on his lips as he approached the bed, where Constance sat up, blinking away the remnants of sleep.
"Good morning," he greeted her, his eyes reflecting the joy of the moment.
Constance's face lit up in response. "Good morning. What's all this?" she asked, eyeing the tray with curiosity.
"Breakfast in bed," Ebenezer announced, setting the tray before her. "I-It’s nothing much. Just a  little something to make the morning special."
The tray bore a feast for the senses – fluffy scrambled eggs with herbs, slices of perfectly ripe tomatoes, and a steaming cup of rich coffee (which he knew she preferred over breakfast tea). A small vase with a single, delicate flower adorned the tray, adding a touch of elegance.
As Constance took in the scene before her, she couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth. "Nothing much? Ebenezer, this is wonderful! You didn't have to."
"I wanted to," he replied, settling down beside her on the bed. "To many more mornings just like this."
Tumblr media
As they finished breakfast, Constance thanked him with another kiss on the cheek. “Do you need help with the dishes?"
“Oh, no, I’ll get them,” he said, stacking them on the tray artfully.
After multiple reassurance, he finally convinced her to leave the task to him.
As Constance disappeared into the bathroom for her morning shower, Ebenezer carried the tray to the kitchen sink with a smile. The clinking of plates and silverware echoed in the otherwise quiet flat provided a comforting soundtrack to his thoughts. When added to by the sound of rushing water from the shower bathroom
As he scrubbed plates clean in the sink, his mind wandered to the journey that had led him to this moment. Constance had walked into his life like a gentle sunrise, slowly illuminating the corners of his heart that had long been shrouded in shadows. Their connection felt deeper with each passing day, and he found himself reflecting on…well, just how much she meant to him.
The realization hit him with profound clarity – Constance wasn't just a fleeting chapter in his life. The thought of a future without her seemed unimaginable. It definitely wasn’t a future he wanted to live.
With the dishes neatly arranged and Constance still singing in the shower, Ebenezer dried his hands and settled into a moment of quiet contemplation. His heart swelled with affection, and the idea of a future together began to crystallize in his mind.
Proposing, the notion whispered softly through his thoughts. The word lingered in the air, carrying with it a promise of shared tomorrows. Ebenezer had never been one for impulsive decisions, but with Constance, it felt different – as if their connection transcended the ordinary rules of time.
A smile played on his lips as he envisioned the day he would ask her to be his forever. He could almost hear the words, feel the weight of the ring in his pocket, and see the joy in her eyes. Yet, he knew that such a moment required careful planning, the right setting, and the perfect words to properly and artfully convey the depth of his feelings.
Lost in these musings, he was startled by the sound of the shower shutting off. Constance emerged, wrapped in a towel, her laughter mingling with the remaining traces of steam in the air. She caught his eye, and the room seemed to brighten with her presence.
"What's got you smiling so much?" she asked, her eyes dancing with curiosity.
Ebenezer chuckled, his heart still dancing to the melody of his thoughts. "Just thinking about the future," he replied, reaching out to gently tuck a strand of damp hair behind her ear. "And how fortunate I am to have you in it."
She leaned in, pressing a sweet kiss to his cheek. "I feel the same way."
In that ordinary yet extraordinary morning, Ebenezer's heart swelled with the certainty that, someday, he would ask Constance to be his forever.
Until then, he would continue to try and show her with every passing moment just how much he adored her. One shared breakfast as a time.

Modern day AU Scrooge/Marley concept: they connect on a GRINDR equivalent but because they don't post face pics neither realizes who the other actually is. Ebenezer is mortified when he arrives for their planned hookup and sees it's his boss, but--after getting over his initial shock--Marley thinks the whole thing is serendipity.
Ooooh, what a DISASTER! I love it
Realistically, this is probably the only way those two emotionally repressed dorks would ever actually end up with each other.

PTA!Scrooge
Tumblr media
A Modern AU thing based on this ask I sent to @undeadchestnut where Ebenezer is married to Jacob and they both adopted Beryl. A BIG HAPPY FAMILY LIKE THEY SHOULD BE.
Of course, raising a child means that he has to go to the most terrifying meet-up known to man: the PTA.
But that doesn't mean he is not prepared to deal with the onslaught.
Kudos to @vixx-ari for the inspiration for the sick burn!

For some reason the whole internet has decided to show me a ton of advertisements and articles about Christmas romcoms...I don't celebrate Christmas or watch romcoms LOL 🤣 So I decided to make a fake movie poster of a Genshin themed Christmas romcom for some reason? I didn't think too hard about the selection of guys haha, who would be the "the one" at the end of this kind of movie??? And what would be the title?
Tumblr media
Albedo is the enigmatic and charming scientist who Lumi briefly considered dating but didn't because of his weird vibes and weirder research. He still believes that they're soulmates and is planning a beautiful gift for Christmas
Lyney is a showman and of course knows how to make a grand show of affection especially during the holidays but it's unclear if his affection is genuine or if he has other motivations for pursuing Lumi. Does he love her or does he just think he does?
Heizou is the flirtatious local detective who always manages to lay on the charm during any encounter. Is he just setting the mood or is there more under the surface? Will the holiday spirit encourage him to pursue a marriage with something other than his job?
Souma* (Wanderer) is an international college student pursuing an advanced degree, he has no time for a stupid tradition of commercial one upmanship masquerading as a holiday (What a scrooge!) Yet he can't help thinking about how Christmas in Inazuma is celebrated by couples.... *The name of my Wanderer please ignore/swap
Xiao doesn't celebrate Christmas but he sure hopes deep down that Lumi invites him to celebrate with her anyway! Can he work up the courage to seek her out himself? Will the Christmas spirit be enough to drive off his demons for the day? Modern/christmas au

Cratchit: Before I met Ann, I left a trail of broken hearts like a rockstar. I’m not proud of it.
Scrooge: You’re kind of proud of it. You work it into a lot of conversations.

fred and scrooge would have the funniest podcast. end tweet.
both of them seem to have the Scrooge GeneTM of fucking with people. scrooge is so sarcastic, and look at how fred deliberately winds him up. fred is the ultimate straight man. he just sets scrooge on a topic and lets him rant.
modern au version where scrooge and fred start a podcast. scrooge started it with the idea of giving financial advice but it just became a slice of life podcast where fred gives his uncle a topic and just lets him go.
