I have no more friends, and yet, I have the most peace in my life… Since moving, I’ve realized I was still holding on to lingering energy from the past. Leaving my hometown wasn’t just about a change of scenery, it was about breaking free from stagnation. I felt like I wasn’t evolving anymore, and that scared me. Growing up a people pleaser, one of my biggest lessons in life has been learning discernment and understanding who truly deserves space in my life. I was always introverted, but in my early 20s, I became more social. The friendships I formed back then were catalysts for growth, shaping me into this current Empress/Queen of Swords energy. I used to welcome friendships that reflected what I was willing to tolerate, just so I wouldn’t be alone. But looking back, my most recent friendships felt like they were monitoring spirits/people watching me, not out of love, but out of curiosity or quiet competition. Being intuitive is a blessing, but sometimes, you just want to ignore it. Now, I find myself cringing at past versions of me, the one who ignored red flags, who clung to dynamics that drained her. But that’s the beauty of life, isn’t it? Growth would be boring if it didn’t come with its own messy, chaotic anecdotes. So I welcome this era of solitude because, for the first time, I trust myself completely. I can’t say the same about others. We live in a world where people love to compare, compete, and sabotage, all because of their own insecurities. But I’m done playing that game. I’m in my monk era now. And that’s just the way life goes.
