MUSINGS ON MY NYC STAR DR. ( literally me deciding if that’s where i wanna focus my energy to shift to. internal monologue, really )

— ⋆˙⟡ similar pros to my myspace DR, being the year 2000 and all. more mellow. people expect less from supermodels than they do from actresses—i don’t have to be perfectly charming or likable, just beautiful. shallow, sure, but doesn’t that take the pressure off a little bit?

— ⋆˙⟡ more privacy. still famous, but they aren’t absolutely ripping me down in the streets for a single photo (usually.) and aside from all of the obvious delights of living in New York City, there’s also the fact that i have a shot at blending. melting away into the sea of faces, experiencing some semblance of anonymity thanks to the objective mental preoccupation of the countless bodies around me.

— ⋆˙⟡ i get to be messy—a fool, not so worried about whether or not i look stupid doing things because people are going to inevitably look at me and go ‘mood’ ‘ugh, perfection’ regardless.

— ⋆˙⟡ i live in a beautiful penthouse all by myself, my own space, breathing in the clearest air imaginable in the sanctity of my own home.

— ⋆˙⟡ i have great friends—ambitious, funny, beautiful. in identical or similar industries, so they can relate—like they know the inside of my head and accept it, understand it. we talk nonsensically to eachother with no one to look at us funny, because we’re models.

— ⋆˙⟡ i can have whoever i want, which i’m free to take full advantage of in the embrace of my white-and-baby-blue silk sheets… or i can choose to ignore them all in favor of a certain Australian actor and artist that treats me like some religious figure. it’s my choice, and is either option bad?

— ⋆˙⟡ i wake up at whatever time i want, eat something sugary for breakfast (powdered doughnuts, probably with a cigarette on the side, whoops.) maybe i have work that day, maybe i meet up with friends for lunch, maybe i lay around in the embrace of my velvet sofa until the sun goes back down. it’s freedom of choice with my money and my time, and beautiful leisure unbound by the typical constraints of those less privileged than i—wealthy, beautiful, in the heart of the city that never sleeps. what more could i ask for?

𝓓ay 17. gift tags -> What is your camera roll like in your dr?

in this reality I used to be an oversaver. meaning my camera roll had barely any photos of me and several edits, memes, fanarts, funny photos, and content i would use for edits (including hour long scenepacks). i now edit on my laptop so my camera roll has slowed down it’s gathering pace thankfully. but it’s still doesn’t hold many photos i’ve taken myself or of me.

that changes in this reality. i take photos religiously. of various things. but there are some things that have higher volume within my camera roll. such as:

ꜱɪʀɪᴜꜱ ʙʟᴀᴄᴋ

he’s quite literally my best friend. we met on a shoot for some obscure online clothing shop at the start of our careers and we became incredibly close. we bonded over the strange clothes and the even stranger hours, then going out to celebrate a job well done and sealing the fate of our friendship. our relationship strengthened as our gender identities shifted, and we had more in common.

we’d snap photos of each other for our social medias but also just for memories. photos from when we’d go out or even stay in. when we were with friends or alone. etc. etc. taking photos became muscle memory. being on certain streets, seeing certain backdrops, were just instant calls to take photos of each other.

then the strong feeling of adoration that i harbored for her from the start began to hold a romantic tinge to it that i couldn’t ignore. and taking photos of her turned from making memories or doing her a favor because, “this would look great on your feed”. to admiring them in certain lights and needing to take photos.

soon there was an album on my phone just for photos of him, and a good portion of those photos he didn’t know about. maybe he saw me take them, but when i wouldn’t show the photos he didn’t ask.

when we start dating, it only gets worse, but also more explicit. i will take photos and keep all the blurry ones, if they tell me to erase one i will, but if not all the photos stay. and any chance i can document her beauty, including in certain vulnerable states i will. he would be excited when i asked if i could take pictures of him after a night together. and we would flip through the photos before i stash them in my hidden folder.

ᴍʏ ꜰʀɪᴇɴᴅꜱ

me and sirius bring different people to our one big friend group. i bring remus, dorcas, lily, and patricia (fem!peter). he brings james, marlene, and mary. we’ll hang together as one big group but we do still enjoy our time seperated in our original groups too.

i often bring a camera with me, and i always have my phone on me. i enjoy taking photos for my friends either for their social media or just candid shots when we’re enjoying ourselves. the quirk of taking candid photos transferred to my other relationships after befriending sirius. which i’m glad for.

sirius and lily are more shy when it comes to me taking candids but they accept it. patricia and dorcas both love when i take candids, and they beg for me to show them. all of my friends appreciate my offers to do photoshoots for them with a more suitable camera, though not often do they take advantage of it. whatever

ᴍʏꜱᴇʟꜰ

i’m not much for taking pictures of myself. i will, of course, when i feel like it… i’m just more focused on my friends. but that’s where my friends come in handy !!

my friends will take photos of me instead. they’ll tell me to pose and i will. or they catch me off guard and get some nice candid shots. they’ll send them to me, usually the ones they like the best or think will do well on social media.

i also tend to save photos of myself from shoots that are shared online or shared to me from the brand & photographers themselves. that’s because i tell my friends or family about the shoot and they want to see it, so i send them the photos.

ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇꜱᴛ ᴏꜰ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀᴍᴇʀᴀ ʀᴏʟʟ

i have plenty videos of my friends too! especially sirius. it started when they would stick their phone in my face to record videos of me. so i started to do it too to get them back. and then i just continued to record them because i liked having the videos to look back on. and as i met my other friends, they became victims too !!

i also have photos of things i take that just live around me that i find pretty! very often tidepools and beaches and the ocean. but also cute animals, or pretty nature in general. graffiti, notes, architecture, statues, etc. etc. i’m an enjoyer of many things. and i like to document without it clouding the experience too much.

all in all, though, i prefer having a lot of photos of my friends in my camera roll, specifically sirius…

𝟬𝟭 . 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗖𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗦　◞　how we met in every reality　part one ୧

influencer dr　ʚ ɞ　chris reached out to me and my best friend when he found out that i was the girl him and his brothers often played hockey against in elementary school . he invited my best friend and i to their house for a prank video in which we had to pretend to be therapists or whatever for matt and nick. neither of them realized it was me, and my best friend and i were super good at pretending. that's when matt and i met, but he didn't know it was me until that night when chris finally told nick and matt it was me!

model dr　ʚ ɞ　at a joint calvin klein campaign! he's already made a name for himself in the industry, but me on the other hand i haven't really done much. so when he first saw me and realized he was going to be working with me, he gave me succch a hard time it was so frustrating. the banter was immaculate, he would do anything to make me roll my eyes. i tried to be polite and brush it off but soon, not even fifteen minutes in, i was returning the same reckless energy.

nepo baby dr　ʚ ɞ　since both my parents are already famous, mostly in bollywood though, my mom brings me on set one day because they wanted me to get exposure to the acting world, only because i told them i wanted to act in this one movie. i'm just sitting behind the cameras as i watch the actors and actresses act, all bored and having nothing better to do because my phone is dead. during break time, i'm talking to one of the crew members who couldn't care less about how the romcoms nowadays suck, matt hears, and stops filming for an hour just to hear my opinions.

corporate dr　ʚ ɞ　at a board meeting obvi!!! his brothers' company and his (they all are the CEOs for it!!) are moving into the office across the street and there's a welcome meeting for them because... why not? it's just an introductory meeting on how we run things in this city, and he's sitting across from me and lazy and couldn't care less about being there, playing with a ballpoint pen as he is the complete opposite of me. whenever i look at him, he's already looking. and every time, i give him a weird look, not liking his attention span nor his actions.

formula 1 dr　ʚ ɞ　since we're in an arranged marriage, i have only seen this guy on TV screens when i used to analyze f1 races in my free time. so, at one of my semi finals for tennis, he shows up at my match because his mom kind of forced him too, for PR obviously. and he's sitting there, in the VIP section, and watching me with no expressions as i play like i own the court. i don't know he's there, not until the crowd goes crazy. not for me, but for his presence being at a tennis match. i look up, he's there, stoic and all cooly watching me play, and i realize the stakes.

you shift to harry potter or percy jackson or an anime or whatever tv show or movie you like? great! i wanna know all the things people usually don’t tell you about these realities!

or again, you have a fame dr. okay cool, tell me exactly what interests you the most about what you do and what makes it fun for you, wether that is acting, singing, modelling, etc. what are some things you’d never expect to be true on a movie set? how are chemistry reads like? do you like every cast member you’re acting with? what are some things you’d never expect come with your job? and what’s it like being a model? do you like it? is it as stressing as everyone says? how do you find it and what’s something that keeps you motivated to do it as your dr self? or wow, you’re a photographer! tell me, what do you like the most about it? what subjects do you have a preference for?

you get what i mean? i LOVE reading story times and things about people’s friendships/relationships, but i think there are so many things that people just don’t talk about that could be so interesting for shifters that share a dr. of course it won’t be the same for everybody, but at the same time you’d just explain what those who want to give up or are unmotivated are missing out on, and maybe also things that they might be curious or worrying about!!

✷　i've lost myself somewhere　ᐟ　marvel cinematic universe dr

at some point in time, i was a die-hard marvel stan. shocker, since now my personality revolves around batman and the dcverse. this was my first dr ever! the funny thing is, it was so rare to find marvel shifters back then. everyone wanted to go to hogwarts to the point that silly young me thought it wasn't possible to shift to any other universe than harry potter. i remember writing down my script for this dr on a sheet of paper and folding it under my pillow like i was in princess and the pea. it's not a fandom nor dr that i care for anymore :/

who was i? i was a young avenger who lived in the tower. i was friends with wanda and pietro before anything — we suffered under hydra together. loki's scepter gave me the powers of fire and water — one hand shot flames, the other water. my hero alias was magma. i think my love interests were either going to be pietro maximoff or peter parker.

i still contemplate making a new kpop dr sometimes but then again, i'm happy having huang renjun (loml) be an icon i admire rather than an actual lover of mine. but gosh, a non-idol universe with the dreamies would be so fucking fun. or even enhypen! park sunghoon ♡__♡ yang jungwon ♡__♡

who was i? i'd rather take a bullet to the leg than face the trials and tribulations of the korean idol industry. no, see, i was a songwriter and producer for many of my favourite groups. mainly under jyp entertainment for stray kids. i was supposed to be the cool, talented producer the members, and especially, 3racha loved. god, i cannot remember who was going to be my s/o but there would've been many choices: bang chan, lee felix, kim seungmin, huang renjun??? too many options. too many biases.

up until last year, before i first watched tokyo revengers, assassination classroom had been my favourite anime for a consecutive eight years. i still hold it very dear to my heart, and maybe one day, i'll go back.

who was i? i was ririka tamago, a class B student who always excelled in sports and performing arts. my childhood best friend and eventual lover was asano gakushuu. had he never been my tutor, i don't think i would've ever managed to be in class B for as long as i was. my fallout into class E was when member of the 'big five' and pervert, teppei araka, had tried to hit on me on the way home. i gave it straight to him and kicked his ass. principal gakuho came to find out about it and did not like that. how dare i harm one of his top students! as punishment, he demoted me to class E — where i actually thrived with good classmates and friends.

used to be my favourite k-drama before i watched the first season of alchemy of souls. yes, i'm obsessed with lee jaewook. y'all, i didn't play about this k-drama — it was a huge part of me. i wouldn't mind going back here only for baek kyung but i have my own kyung variant, theodore nott, in my hogwarts dr.

who was i? there was no shadow and stage in this dr. we were just constantly in the shadow i think. i was the a3's best friend. the popular it-girl everyone was jealous of. i had two little twin brothers (who i miss dearly) and was the daughter of a famous fashion ceo and model. had bad, uncommunicative parents. me and baek kyung were always there for each other — each other's safety nets coming from terrible households.

the scream franchise used to be such a big part of me. i adored it no matter what. i hate zionists though and their decisions to let melissa barrera and jenna ortega go were NOT it. made me lose respect and love for it altogether.

who was i? i can't remember much of this dr. all i remember was being best friends to lovers with wes hicks. it was set during scream 5 obviously — i don't think ghostface ever returned after the previous movie. so, it was sort of boring (but safe). just an excuse to love wesley.

✷　don't carry it all　ᐟ　eternals dr

this might the one subsection of the mcu that i still care about. unless you're also counting daredevil and x-men. and they cancel the second movie? ugh! why are we letting the haters WIN. i loved everything about this movie. it was the start of my barry keoghan phase (i was there before every one of y'all 🫵). druig and makkari are one of my favourite ships hehe.

who was i? my name was theria, derived from the word 'therianthropy'. it means the mythological ability or affliction of individuals to metamorphose into animals or hybrids by means of shapeshifting. i was called woman of all or the beast by others. i was 4425 freaking years old, born in 5000 bc. we lived in babylon <3 my powers were so cool, it's hard to explain when i don't think it's ever been used in other movies. my power was a projection of an animal's spirit. i could conjure the spirit of a lion, eagle, shark, snake, wolf, a cat and even a phoenix. the exoskeleton of animal's spirit was what i called the cosmic animal. i could control how they'd attack. when conjuring these spirits, i could possess a few features of theirs for myself. like when i had the lion's spirit, i'd grow the claws and canines of one. my love interest was druig <3

the classic fame dr. every shifter has had one at least at one point. honestly, i've just grown out of it. i'm not interested in being an actor, nor do i care much for being friends with any LMAO. if i wanted some good celebrity friends and peers, i can just shift to my band dr. also, is jack champion still relevant? i'm not so into him anymore.

who was i? adithya atira thomas, mononymously known as atira. growing up in a rocky household, i was lucky to find stardom by landing a role in titans. i'd go on to star in the fear street trilogy, scream 5 and 6, not okay, do revenge and avatar: the way of water. i'd meet jack champion on the set for avatar and grow close. when jack got casted in scream 6, everyone saw our established chemistry and had our characters in the film be love interests. fans ate up our interviews together and just maybe, everyone was right for shipping us.

i still love this fandom, don't get me wrong. i would actually consider this dr an active one if only i ever got to finish its script. maybe when beyond the spiderverse releases, i'll get the inspiration to go back here.

who was i? i lived in earth-42 and attended brooklyn visions academy. during a class trip to oscorp, a radioactive, cyborg of a spider bit me. three years later, i'm earth-42's one and only spinneret — or spider-woman, if you want to keep it frank. prowler and i never got along, opponents with flirty tension. it's once i become friends with miles morales as a civilian that we come forth with our secret identities. all feud between spinneret and prowler is solved, thanks to our friendship as civilians. prowler!miles is my love interest but before we get together, he's a little jealous of hobie brown and the other miles when i'm in the spider society lmao.

i first heard of shifting in the year 2020 and have shifted to parallel realities multiple times for very little periods of time (say, five minutes or less). i definitely know it is real. i have many realities i wish to shift to, some that float around my head as vague ideas, some that i make scripts or pin boards for, some that i think i forgot about but come back in full force annually, and some that are my roman empires. i won’t promise introduction posts or generally any posts about these realities because i am lazy and i do what i want. i also plan on permashifting—if you don’t like that, exit this blog.
