I appreciate your politics posts so much. As someone who was also a Warren supporter, I also find Sanders supporters really frustrating to deal with. I live I. Pennsylvania, so I’m torn on who to vote for in our primary next month.
Thank you. I’m generally a very nice, civil person, if it makes you feel better. I just feel absolutely zero sympathy or need to hold back considering how Warren and her supporters (including me) have been treated by Bernie Sanders stans over the past year (to say nothing of the supporters of OTHER candidates). My preferred candidate is out of the race. I have nothing to lose, I’m not scared of them, and it’s past time people stopped paying a lick of attention to what they want and held them accountable for their shitty behavior.
In terms of your vote, I think you need to make two completely separate decisions:
Warren will still be on the ballot. You can vote for her anyway, if you want. The primary will be basically over by the time Pennsylvania votes, in terms of knowing who is going to win (spoiler alert: it’s going to be Joe Biden, and it’s all going to be over on March 17th…also known as the day Florida votes). This is a primary; there’s nothing truly at stake from voting your heart and principles and bucking the system that won’t let you vote for your preferred candidate because you come too “late” in the primary season.
If, in fact, you decide to vote for either Biden or Bernie, you need to decide which one you are okay voting for.
Here’s my case for Biden (and I’m not particularly thrilled about it, but I have spent several months coming to a cosmic comfort level with the concept of a Biden presidency, so I can make a pretty good pitch):
Apart from Warren, Biden is the only candidate that has the knowledge to and understands the importance of rebuilding the government and administrative state in a post-Trump world. Besides her, he’s the one that understands the depth of the problem and how much work it’s going to take to fix it. Our State Department has been decimated. Multiple cabinet posts and undersecretaries are being manned by ‘acting’ employees. There’s been a mass exodus of career staffers and government employees. And no one seems to want to talk about the massive institutional knowledge loss that has happened under Trump except Warren and Biden. Bernie doesn’t seem to particularly understand the problem or have the patience to fix it. Bernie wants to talk policy without realizing how hard it’s going to be to re-staff, reorganize, restructure, and restore what’s been lost since 2016, much less accomplish anything more than that within four years.
I trust him to pick competent people to surround himself with. Like…that’s it. That’s the reason. Bernie hires people like Nina Turner and David Sirota. Biden hires Kurt Bagley, Symone Sanders, and TJ Ducklo. But more than that, Biden will have a wealth of intelligent, competent, and qualified people BEGGING to serve in his administration. Bernie Sanders will not. Biden will inevitably pick competent people, but Bernie’s staffing choices this entire primary season has not inspired a lick of confidence in me that he will do the same. And, as Warren says, “personnel is policy.” The people you surround yourself with and defer to influence how you go about trying to make policy, and just because a person supports a certain set of policies does not mean they will be effective at enacting change around those issues.
More importantly for me as a voter, just because we share a set of preferred policy goals does not mean I believe Bernie Sanders is anywhere near the best person to lead the passage and implementation of those goals as President. Policy is not sentient. It requires actual human beings to pass and implement….human beings that are competent at building alliances built across differing opinions. Bernie Sanders and his “movement” will never be able to accomplish that. A Biden administration with Warren and the progressive movement being an absolute pain in his ass and holding him accountable? Just might.
Supreme Court and federal judicial picks. Biden understands what’s at stake there. He’s spoken about it on numerous occasions. Sanders does not, and it shows.
Biden will inevitably be a single-term president; he will not run again as an 83-year-old. A single-term Biden caretaker presidency where he rebuilds the mess Trump left behind, maybe gets some positive change done, and bows out for a full system reboot in 2024 is not the end of the world.
Hope this helps. Thanks for your ask!

Do you have any headcanons about why Lilith seems to be able to easily move between Earth and Hell, when Lucifer seems trapped there and the demons can get banished and presumably stuck there as well?
I actually sort of went into this a little, as regards origins and powers, in a long headcanon post recently, when I was talking about the fact that Lilith is more powerful than Beelzebub and I suspect that pisses him off (as his powers are limited to Hell and hers aren’t, as she could banish him back to Pandemonium in Part 2 Episode 1 without much effort). The post is here if you want to read it.
But basically, with Lucifer, it seemed to be implied throughout Part 1 and 2 that he was trapped in Hell so long as he looked like the Puritanical idea of the devil; goat head, horns, hooves, the works. As the moment he returns to his original form, he strolls out of Hell casually...and mostly naked. However, he does leave Hell to torment Sabrina, he also leaves to ‘take’ Zelda as his ‘right’ as he has done presumably with other poor witch brides, he turns up at the cottage to order Lilith to kill Adam, so he doesn’t seem trapped per se, and I wonder if part of his reason for not leaving Hell is vanity. Because he’s all about wandering around once he has his looks back.
But the fact remains that Lucifer is bound to Hell, can be summoned from there and banished back there (at least while he’s still in Goat Mode) and the demons such as the Infernal Kings, while they claim to answer to no one and come to the mortal realm as they wish, they are able to be banished back to Hell (not just by Lilith, but also by Blackwood).
The thing is Lucifer, for all intents and purposes, created Hell. His powers, his celestial blood, his gifts are what birthed it into being. He says in Part 3 ‘I, who am Hell itself’. Hell and he are one, they are bound, intrinsically. One cannot exist without the other (hence why they didn’t kill him when he was in Blackwood’s body, because presumably killing him sets the realms askew). So Lucifer’s place is, undeniably, Hell. He can visit the mortal realm, but he must always return.
Ditto for the demons. They were made in Hell, born in Hell, created in Hell. Hell runs in their veins, they are of Hell, an intrinsic part of it. They have known no other home, they have no tie or bond to the mortal realm or anything further than Hell. They can’t permanently leave the realm they’re bound to (no one can, as even the mortals when they go to Hell, risk being killed for going there because they don’t belong there). Hence why, when the demons are in the mortal realm, they can be banished back. Because they are a piece of Hell itself, just as Lucifer is completely Hell itself.
Lilith is not a piece of Hell. She is a piece of Eden (a piece of paradise, haha). She was not created in Hell, nor was she created of Hell. She was created in literal paradise, in the Heavenly realms. And she was created as a human, a mortal. Her connection to Hell is via her being a witch, and the demons she created, her bond to that realm developing over centuries of exposure and involvement. She is connected to Hell, but she isn’t made of it. Lilith is able to move freely between Earth and Hell because she belongs to both earth and hell, just as Sabrina does (as Sabrina also moves freely, as she is half mortal, half ‘hell itself’). Just as Sabrina could choose to live on earth or in Hell (or as she currently has done, chosen to create a time paradox so she could do freaking both) Lilith could make the same choice. It’s just Lilith always chooses Hell, because it’s the only place that’s ever been as close to a home as she’s ever known (though with recent dynamics and alterations I wonder if this will change).
But as Lilith was created in the Heavenly Realms, fled to the Earthly Realms, and made her home in the Hellish Realms....we could theorise that Lilith is the only one able to freely enter all three of these realms (unlike Sabrina who isn’t getting into heaven due to being the daughter of Lucifer. ‘Well you won’t be getting into Heaven if that’s what you’re thinking’) without losing her powers or being banished.

😉  and 💑 for the sex+romance headcanons. I need some distractions after watching Part 3.
What are my muse’s fetishes/kinks?
i answered this one for mary, so now i’ll answer for lilith: her kink is being loved lmao… like that’s her biggest turn-on… but for those not-very-intimate sexual encounters that she does, On Occasion, partake in…
lilith is a messy fuck with MASSIVE control issues who ALWAYS must have the upper hand. she is not safe sane and consensual about it. she will push your boundaries and test you and test you to see if you can take that much more from her. her kink is getting away with that shit because she’s Just So Fucking Good she’s irresistible, and she does it because it makes her feel powerful. there’s a very specific kink list in this post if you wanna burn your eyes with it
What are my muse’s requirements for a potential partner?
answered for lilith and mary so i’ll answer this one for eve: she needs someone smart who won’t take shit, lmao. at least that’s her ideal, or what she professes to want from a partner; in practice, because she’s emotionally immature, she wants a woman who will take shit and let her get away with stuff, and it was harder and harder to be with mary at the end because she was reaching the end of mary’s patience and willingness to tolerate eve’s issues. but yes, smarts, for her as for mary, are a big part of it; she needs someone with an active and restless mind who gets caught on questions and won’t stop being curious. she needs to be with an interesting person, somebody who intrigues her and challenges her, and makes her want to be better, and who can give her a lot of attention lmao.

@mochababy712 that is such a good point! Thank you for this addition. I’m really latching on to the idea that satire shouldn’t be aimed “downward.” Satire is meant to expose the people with power in a situation, not the people without it.
Tumblr media
Adding my two cents: the same CAOS writer said that it is meant to be a satire. I would describe CAOS with many words, but satire isn’t one of them. Are they looking to mock feminism? That’s low
Calling CAOS a “satire” is absurd, especially if it was in the context of someone calling them out on their misogyny. Satire is defined as: the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.
By that definition, it sounds like they’re saying that they’re using trauma, sexism, and soap opera-style drama to do…what exactly? If the Caligari spell is meant to be a satire that “exposes” the dangers of marrying for power… well. They went pretty damn far to “criticize” that choice. Similarly, with Lilith’s situation… what are they trying to say by claiming that a woman who has undergone millennia of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse should then impregnate her self with her rapist’s child to stay alive? What bloody “irony” or “humor” are they going for there?
Tumblr media
I recognize that writers like to push the envelope with satire… but I just don’t think that is a word that can be applied to CAOS lightly.

I'm living for your headcanons! ⌛please!
send ⌛for a sleep headcanon
Sleep is not something Lilith necessarily needs, not in the same sense that humans need it. She will never collapse from lack of sleep, but she does sleep regularly, just as she did when she was merely human in the Beginning (old sleep habits die hard?). However, after her time in the wilderness when she would have to sleep on rocks and in caves, vulnerable to the elements, Lilith is not the sort of witch/demoness who will ever sleep in the woods (or do any camping of any sort, for that matter), because she is not revisiting what was forced upon her. Therefore, Lilith always sleeps in luxury where she can. Warm, dry bed in a warm, dry room with the best sheets, the best pillows, silk nightwear, the works. Her sleeping arrangements are probably the most high-maintenance, luxurious thing about her living style, and she will not ever settle for less if she can help it.
Even Mary’s bedroom got an update when she ‘moved in’ to the cottage. The place was already warm and dry, but Lilith went and got the best pillows, and brand new sheets. Adam 2.0 probably came back to the cottage and was like ‘what the heckity heck got updated in here?’.

I have always established, both from Lilith’s original myth and my own headcanons, as well as the hints of info within CAOS, that Lilith’s magic comes from a different source to the other witches on the show (i.e not from Lucifer), that she was a witch before she met him and that was how she was able to heal his God-given wounds when meeting him.
I’ve always established it as a power of the cosmos, the old Gods, the old magics, that came to her when she left the Garden, full details of which are on THIS POST HERE.
But now, with Zelda calling to Hecate and the show establishing that as Queen of Witches and the Goddess of Witches, that Hecate was the one all magic originally came from, then the power that came to Lilith came from Hecate as well, that Hecate was the one to reach out to her and teach Lilith what she now was.
This is part of the reason Lilith is so powerful (as established in yesterday’s posts) and why Lucifer can’t drain her magic as he can the coven. It’s also the reason why so many of Lilith’s spells are different to the other witches in the show.
Prime example is the ‘Pull the wool over their eyes’. Using the yarn and holding it in a shape, while instructing don’t move or speak or ‘the spell won’t take’, is very much old world magic. It’s about will power, compelling, something earthen and simplistic, using natural tools to hand (wool) and your own will power. I think it’s also the reason why she has the gift of pyrokinesis, as no other witch shows even a slight hint of having that, and certainly not without needing to cast a verbal spell. Fire is one of the four cardinal elements so it would make sense that it was one of the first magics Lilith learned after leaving the Garden and becoming a witch. Fire also has a lot of connections in Creation myths, not just in JudeoChristian ones, so there’s that too.
Magics such as the wool-over-their-eyes spell, her Siren Song, Slumber and Awakening spells, healing, second sight etc, they all have a very different feel and look and effect to the rest of the magic in the show. No one else is shown to have them, not even Sabrina when she comes into her full Morningstar powers, which I personally headcanon means these are the magics Lilith had pre-Satan.
I do think that after she met Lucifer and became his Handmaiden etc, he taught her things, helped her magic grow, and she learned things, she experienced new magics (and that’s why she also has the same gifts as the regular witches, as well as spells that feel more Luciferian in nature) but her origin magic, the core of her power came from Hecate and that’s why they’re untouchable.
Hecate, within mythology, is meant to watch over all witches (and enchantresses, casters, etc, whichever term is preferred at the time), that all witches are always under her guidance, protection, power, that they’re always able to call out to her (which is what Zelda did when she said we’d forgotten you and turned to others but we don’t forget you again etc). But that means Lilith is still one of her witches, that her power is tied to her, and though I doubt it will happen, I would love for that connection to play a role in Part 4.

thanks, @flashofthefuse and @mochababy712! is this the video you were thinking of, Anon?
youtube
@damecatoe said: And Trevor Noah did a bit on the Daily Show like this week about how he sounds like he's using predictive speech to talk. IS TRUE
Hi, Bethany. I'm sorry, I know it's an extremely long shot, but I've been looking and looking and I can't find it. I remember watching either Seth Meyers or Stephen Colbert and they had the autocorrect word predictions sound more coherent than 45. Do you by any chance know what video it was in? Or maybe your followers know. It's driving me nuts, lol
Oh man, I don’t know, but that sounds amazing! Any of my followers know where to find that video, perchance?
