MINA FILM FESTIVAL MINA (Mobile Innovation Network and Association) bills itself as “the longest running film festival internationally dedicated to mobile & smartphone filmmaking.” In its ninth year, the organization focus on documentary, community engaged film productions, experimental films and emerging film production forms and formats, such as MoJo (mobile journalism), drone videos, AR (augmented reality) and Mobile Cinematic VR (virtual reality). The 2019 festival invites submissions—runtime limit 8 minutes—in the following categories: – an open call for mobile, smartphone and pocket films – New Voices : Next Generation smartphone filmmakers – a category for young and emerging filmmakers (including students) – Mobile Cinematic VR & 360° Video Production: The Future is Now – a category for Cinematic VR and 360° Video Production – MoJo, drone videos, AR, Mobile Storytelling, micro-movies & micro-formats – a category for live streaming, mobile social media apps, drones and other pocket cameras (such as GoPro) & mobile devices.
