I feel like y'all should know what's going on here today.

Today is election day in Mexico, it's also the day we'll probably get our first woman president (the first one in all northamerica actually) Claudia Sheinbaum, yet it isn't exactly something to celebrate. Yes it's groundbreaking to have a woman as president, however she is not a good woman. She was essentially handpicked as a successor by AMLO, our current president from within his political party, Morena.

Morena was the driving force behind the Tren Maya (a train running all the way through southeastern Mexico, an area full of indigenous territories, archeological vestiges, protected ecosystems and species, that he been negatively affected if not destroyed by this project. The Asamblea Maya is heavily against it), the Felipe angeles airport (an airport settled over an area full of paleontological remains, and a huge disruptor to migratory bird routes, so yknow another ecological disaster, plus it endangers the preservation of the Teotihuacán archeological zone due to its closeness, as well as being a nuisance for the people of San Juan Teotihuacan), plus many other megadevelopments in the name of "progress" and the "people first", most of which have actually made life worse for people or have been directly opposed by indigenous communities. It's also important to point out that AMLO and Morena used the grieving families of the Ayotzinapa 43 (forcibly dissappeared students, a tragedy committed by the army and covered up by the government) and promised the army and everyone involved wouldn't go unpunished and then betrayed the families by painting them as opportunistic sell outs to the opposition, never actually releasing the information or punishing the people involved in the disappearance of the students, and giving more and more power to the army, effectively militarizing the country.

While Sheinbaum was head of government in Mexico City there were a lot of protests, most of which were confronted by a lot of police brutality condoned by her government for example they gassed feminist protesters and escalated violence against propalestine protesters, among others. Her government was also bad for the infrastructure of public transportation in the city, with these last few years having been some of the worse for the Mexico city subway in recent history. She also spearhead "mobility projects" to allegedly help the flow of the city traffic and maintain our environment, all she did was destroy wetlands to make more roads, which have had horrible consequences for the biodiversity of the city (destruction of the original ecosystem and disruption of migratory bird routes) while suppressing and intimidating the originary people of the area that rightfully questioned this projects, that not only hurt the ecosystem, but actively took water sources away from their communities.

She is also a zionist and has filled her party with terfs and a known rapist.

This election was unfortunately another choose the lesser evil election in Mexican history, since the other two presidential candidates are also a terrible choice (Xochitl Gálvez is the representative for the conservative paty in Mexico and Jorge Álvarez Maynez is very similar), and the fact that very single politician is trying to distance themselves from PRI the most prominent party in Mexican history and also the orchestrator of a lot of the bad things in our country, however most of them worked in or with the PRI at some point, including most of Morena's representatives. This has lead to most people not wanting to vote, annuling their vote, or voting for missing people to visibilize them and the incompetence of the authorities.

So yeah, I guess finally having a woman as a president is something good, but it is definitely not a good thing, don't let the media fool y'all into thinking this is some "socialist" or "leftist" win for Mexicans, when at best it won't change anything.

France is setting up a mobile security force for schools "experiencing difficulties", days after the headteacher of a Paris school resigned because of death threats.

The head was falsely accused of striking a student in a row over her wearing an Islamic headscarf in school.

Education Minister Nicole Belloubet said the mobile force was intended to reassure teachers and boost security.

Tensions in French schools are high since the killing of two teachers.

Samuel Paty was decapitated on the street in a Paris suburb in 2020 and Dominique Bernard was killed at his school in Arras five months ago. Former students who had been radicalised were involved in both killings.

"Teachers are not alone and we are all forming a shield around them, around our schools," Ms Belloubet told reporters during a visit on Friday to a secondary school in Bordeaux.

The education ministry said the "mobile school force" would be composed of about 20 education officers who could be deployed within 48 hours from the start of the next school year, wherever local authorities needed additional support.

The team's mission would be to provide security in a school in "acute crisis", with the aim of providing internal security, reassurance and education skills.

In late February, the headteacher of the Maurice Ravel Lycée in Paris insisted his student remove her Islamic head-covering, in accordance with French law.

The student claimed the headteacher had struck her during a heated exchange, but police found no evidence to support her claims.

However, after numerous death threats posted on social media, the headteacher announced his resignation this week, saying it was "out of concern for my own safety and that of the school".

Police have been patrolling around the school, and two people were detained in connection with the death threats. Police say they are not linked to the school.

Politicians on both the left and right have expressed outrage over the headteacher's situation and Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced on Thursday the student would be sued by the state for making the false accusation.

MPs and local officials took part in a rally outside the school on Friday morning in support of the headteacher and to demand that secular rules remain enforced in French schools.

Ms Belloubet has suspended France's ENT digital messaging system, used by teachers and students, because of a proliferation of threats.

Education officials have reported more than 320 threats made across France since the middle of last week, which the minister blamed on students' personal accounts being hacked. In Paris alone about 50 schools had received bomb threats through the messaging system.

The ENT system enables students to access various educational resources online and Ms Belloubet said she hoped it would be up and running again next month after the spring break.

Several arrests have been made in connection with the online threats, including a 17-year-old and a man aged 21.

Mau ceritaa, drama yg terjadi di penutup tahun 2022.

Kemarin sabtu ceritanya mau jemput suami di stasiun semarang tawang. Suami berangkat dari jakarta menuju semarang naik kereta. Aku berangkat dari pati menuju semarang sekitar jam 4 sore, Alhamdulillah awal awal perjalanan masih aman terkendali.

Sampai di demak, aku diarahin sama gmaps untuk ngambil jalan alternatif, karena jalan besar yg biasa ke arah stasiun tawang gabisa dilewati karna banjir. Terus aku diarahin gmaps buat masuk tol, lalu ambil exit di tol tanjung mas. Pas keluar tol, hari sudah gelap, hujan deras pula, kok aku sendirian ya, ga ada mobil di depan/belakangku. Masih pede aja tuh keluar tol, sampe pada akhirnya, kok daerah sini gelap bgt ya, minim lampu. Ngeliat kanan kiri truk semua, banyaaak bgt kontainer kontainer yg lalu lalang. Nyari barengan mobil biasa kok ga ada. Mulai panik, bingung. Gataunya aku nyasar sampe daerah pelabuhan gess, ya Allah mau nangis banget 😭 Nelpon suami juga, dia gatau aku lagi dimana, karena liveloc yg aku share ga akurat.

Ga jauh dari situ aku liat ada masjid akhirnya mutusin buat maghriban sekalian nenangin diri dulu disini.

Setelah maghrib suami nelpon, ngabarin kalau keretanya berhenti di stasiun tegal. Penumpang yg ke arah semarang diturunkan di stasiun tegal lalu dilanjutkan naik bis yg disediakan oleh KAI.Suami turun di stasiun tegal sekitar maghrib. Sampai jam 9 malam bis belum juga datang.

Suami cerita, keadaan di stasiun cukup chaos, banyak penumpang yg protes, tidak adanya informasi kedatangan bis yg akurat, penumpang luntang lantung. Ya Rabb.. akhirnya bis datang jam 11 malam lalu menuju semarang.

Alhamdulillah suami sampai di semarang hari ahad jam 1 dini hari. Luar biasa memang perjalanan jkt-smrg kali ini memakan waktu setahun, dari 2022-2023 😂

Terlalu banyaaak drama , tapi mari kita petik banyaknya pula hikmah di dalamnya. Bahwaaa hanya pada Allah kita bertumpu, hanya pada Allah kita bersandar.

Suami cerita, sambil menanti bis yg tak kunjung datang, dengan kondisi yg sudah sangat lelah, haus serta lapar, ia berdoa,

"Ya Allah jika memang dengan terlambatnya bis yang datang, Engkau ingin membuatku untuk terus murojaah, aku tidak mengapa. Jika dengan aku murojaah engkau mempercepat terkabulnya hajat-hajatku, aku ridho."

Malam itu, ia mengkhatamkan tilawahnya. Membuka hatinya, untuk legowo, tetap santai dan tersenyum dengan kejadian ini, tawakkal dengan apapun yg Allah tetapkan untuknya di malam ini.

Binati ko siya pero hindi sakto kasi nga, nakatulog. Masaya ako na gising siya kaya nag usap kami sa chat kahit ilang mins. Pero need niya ng mag pahinga kasi susunduin niya iyong mga kaibigan niya sa Bayan. Buong sale siya lang iyong iniisip ko, kasi gusto Kong Bumawi para malaman niyang nandito lang ako kahit wala ako sa tabi niya. Bea Cukai Kudus Tindak Mobil Pengangkut 431.400 Batang Rokok Ilegal

Kudus (ANTARA) - Bea Cukai Kudus menindak sarana pengangkut yang memuat 431.400 batang rokok yang diduga ilegal di Jalan Raya Pati-Kudus, Desa Terban, Kecamatan Jekulo, Kabupaten Kudus, pada Jumat (04/10). 

"Penindakan ini berawal dari hasil analisis informasi intelijen, Bea Cukai Kudus mendeteksi adanya pergerakan rokok yang diduga ilegal yang berasal dari wilayah Jawa Timur yang diangkut dengan menggunakan sebuah mobil minibus," ujar Kepala Seksi Penyuluhan dan Layanan Informasi Bea Cukai Kudus, Sandy Hendratmo Sopan.

Untuk menindaklanjuti analisis tersebut, petugas kemudian menyisir sepanjang Jalan Raya Kudus-Pati guna menemukan mobil target. Tak berselang lama, petugas melihat sebuah mobil minibus dengan ciri sesuai yang diinformasikan sedang melintas di Jalan Raya Pati-Kudus sehingga dilakukan pengejaran. 

Setelah pengejaran selama kurang lebih 15 menit, petugas akhirnya berhasil memberhentikan mobil tersebut dan melakukan pemeriksaan. Dari hasil pemeriksaan, petugas menemukan 431.400 batang rokok jenis SKM yang dibungkus dengan kemasan rokok berbagai merek, seperti Rile-x Bold, Flash Bold, Asmara Tea, Shogun Bold, dan RJ99 tanpa dilekati pita cukai. Petugas pun segera melakukan penegahan. Nilai barang rokok ilegal tersebut diperkirakan sebesar Rp595.332.000 dengan potensi kerugian negara di bidang cukai sebesar Rp412.944.708.

“Jalan Raya Pantura ini memang merupakan salah satu jalur utama distribusi logistik. Beberapa kali penangkapan rokok ilegal terjadi di jalur ini. Oleh karena itu, kami mengharapkan sinergi yang kuat dari segenap lapisan masyarakat demi kelancaran pemberantasan rokok ilegal yang melintas di jalur ini,” sebut Sandy. Saat ini seluruh rokok ilegal, sarana pengangkut, serta pihak yang terkait telah dibawa ke Kantor Bea Cukai Kudus untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.

November na! It's crazy how time flies, really. It should be cold by now pero climate changes nga naman. It still feels like everything that happened in the past few months just happened yesterday. It feels insane how life could easily change as time goes by. The person who I was 3 years ago wouldn't even recognize me behavior-wise. I mean, sure, makikilala niya ako through physical appearance. However, the way I act back then is different from now.

I definitely gained confidence throughout the years. There are people who surrounds me now. The way I could tell this is by recognizing the relationship I had with people back then compared to now.

For example, two of my friends now were, back then, my seatmates, whom I saw as mere aquiantances. One was in our previous group (which no longer exists), one was someone I never expected to be a friend, and one has been a friend all along. Hindi mo kasi maaakalang makakasama mo tong mga tao in a deeper level.

Well some things might not change at all. Tulad nalang siguro ng humor ko. Albeit, I feel like nagbago naman ng kaunti ang personality ko. I definitely went out of my shell noong 3rd year. I think I learnt so much about myself that time, that is why until now, I could utilize that knowledge now that I'm in 4th year.

I keep telling myself na things will get better as time goes by. Sinasabi ko lang to because I keep missing the earlier times last school year. Perhaps, I might have taken things for granted kaya ako pinaparusahan ngayon. Hindi naman siguro sa parusa, but it feels very unfamiliar—yung mga taong nakakasalamuha ko ngayon. Sometimes I don't feel very comfortable. But without a question, masasanay din naman ako and I'd get to adapt the new environment.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit sinasabi ko to eh November 1 palang. Maybe dahil alam kong magiging busy ako this month. Maybe dahil din feel ko malapit nang matapos itong taon na to. Although, malapit naman na talaga.

Anyway, I hope to capture more images this year's Intramurals. I promise I'll purchase a new SD card para hindi kaagad maubos ang storage. Nakakabanas kaya! Especially when there are places worth capturing tapos you can't shoot it. I would also find the camera charger na matagal ko nang di nakikita. Kaya hindi ko na rin ma-open yung camera ko dahil walang laman yung baterya. Pati yung camera sling, di ko na rin matagpuan. Pero anyway, sana maaliwalas ang takbo ng November niyo ngayon.
