I need the three of them to go to couples therapy. Yes all three of them, I think it would do them good (or give the therapist a heart attack…)
Actually this would be a fire fic…
"old friends" is an underrated relationship dynamic because it's such an innocent boring sounding term for what is usually some of the wildest shit imaginable. it's always like 'oh yeah we go way back, we have history' and then you find out that history includes sex, drugs, murder, divorce, war crimes and The Incident

Hatchetfiled Trilogy Posters
I'm gonna print them and put them on my wall :)
The NPMD one has a lot of little details and the other two have a few so I'm going into them below the cut if anyone wants to know lol
NPMD: It's meant to be Grace's locker (featuring her notebook, a cross, and her little whiteboard) but there's one item from each of the nerds as well. Grace's bracelet (the incriminating evidence), Peter's bowtie (under the gun), the dinosaur keychain from Ruth's backpack, the camcorder Richie used in the Waylon's place, and Stephanie's flannel. The gun and the Black Book are also featured because of this being Grace's locker.
The sticky notes on the door from top to bottom: "Cancel Home-C*mming" "Waylon place? Black alters? The lords in black?" "The Big Game" "Nerdy Prudes Must Die??" "Go Nighthawks !!!"
Black Friday: Just that the hands are Becky, Linda, and Tom but I think that's pretty clear. Also the box says "Rub my Belly-well". Idk this one has the least hidden details but it's probably my favorite. I really like how it turned out, especially the lighting on the Wiggly box
TGWDLM: It's the cup of poisoned coffee, that's really all. The tickets are for Mamma Mia! at the Hatchetfield Starlight Theater. The date was just a random Thursday in 2018, I would've done the date the show released on YouTube but December 23rd just didn't make sense for the timeline of the show lol. My intention was that the seats were Bill's and Alice's but idk they were also kinda random.
I've liked these musicals for years it's time I made high-effort fanart for them lol

Today in Hampton History 1950 - The USS Missouri runs aground near Old Point Comfort. The nation’s only battleship in commission at the time, the ship stuck hard and fast in the sand. Many locals made special trips to Buckroe and Fort Monroe to view the sight. Several attempts to float her failed. Finally, on February 1, a combination of tugboats, pontoons, and an incoming tide managed to free the “Mighty Mo,” and she put into dry dock in Portsmouth for repairs to her hull. Tugboats surround USS Missouri during an attempt to free her 21 January 1950. Wikipedia

A Minor Slip-Up - Chapter 1
Miguel O'Hara X Reader 18+
You've been working for Dr. Miguel O'Hara in Alchemax' R&D department for 2 years. For those two years, your crush on the gigantic, handsome man that just happens to be your superior has only gotten worse with time.
When you notice him alone at Alchemax' Christmas Gala, you take your chance. A one night stand.
You two agree it was just once, but it seems life has other plans.
This fic takes place in an alternate canon of the Spiderman 2099 comics. While the entire plot uses the lore of the 2099 comics, the aesthetic of Nueva York is based on Across the Spiderverse.
Miguel is based also on his ATSV character in personality and appearance & his tech. He's a bit more of an asshole and less traumatized tho.
He has not discovered portal technology and is technically not the ATSV Miguel we see in the movie – but a variant. While I use his backstory up to before Dana and him go to Valhalla is pretty similar - instead of being constant crazy stuff it cuts off there. The comic backstory ends and diverges with a much slower plot where Miguel has to grapple with being Spiderman and occasionally handling crazy stuff and trying to stop Alchemax. Also, he has ATSV Lyla bc she’s objectively the funnier version.
It was totally normal to have a crush as a grown woman, right ?
That’s what you had tried to convince yourself of anyway. Dr. Miguel O’Hara was technically your boss. You were a senior in your position, but he was the lead scientist – you submitted reports and updates to him and followed his instruction and advice. Any project had his name first, regardless of how much work he actually did.
Dr. O’Hara was attractive. There was no way the towering, chiseled man built like a Greek god didn’t know he was drop dead gorgeous . Tall, smart – handsome. The only downside was his personality had gone from a slightly egotistical lead who treated everyone like they were stupid, to barely talking to anyone, and brooding in his office. He seemed almost… depressed .
You had chalked it up to the explosion that happened in Miguel’s personal lab almost 5 months ago. Apparently, a late-night experiment had gone wrong. The accident had killed Mr. Delgato and Miguel was apparently there when he died. You couldn’t imagine how traumatic it was. So, you were quick to give your boss some serious slack.
You didn’t know Miguel that well anyway; he was your boss – personal life was not exactly something folks discussed over petri dishes. It’s not like he spent any time in the break room on the main R&D floor. He usually didn’t spend time in any break room, really.
Right now, the massive Miguel O’Hara was at the head of the table his team usually had lunch at. He looked like he was nursing a hangover and holding a coffee cup that was too little for his gigantic, tanned hands. His shirt was too tight, and it put emphasis on his massive shoulders and broad chest.
You were doing everything you could not to stare.
You knew the dress code well, no wearing your hair down in the lab, so your neck was still chilly and ears pink. You felt like you were freezing even in your thick turtleneck sweater, dark slacks and company-issued lab coat. The massive glass windows of the break room did little to stave off the December cold in Nueva York. The entire room was bustling with a few dozen scientists and other employees, but your team always hung out together. It was nice that you all actually liked one another.
You made your coffee sweet, more cream than coffee, eyes on the approaching Dr. Amara Monroe. The bubbly blonde with bright green eyes had to crane her head back to look at you – but it didn’t stop the both of you from becoming good friends over the past two years.
Dr. Monroe had her hands on a plastic box – likely some sort of food container that had long been cleaned. She sat it down before her seat, one hand on the rim.
“Okay. Write your name on the slip, and then put it in the jar.” Dr. Monroe’s other hand motioned to the scattering of cut-up printer paper on the table.
Apparently, it was an old tradition from the early 2000’s – Secret Santa. Dr. Monroe explained it as a bonding experiment, her family had been doing it as long as she remembered. It seemed that the woman was intent on continuing it in her workplace. You couldn’t help but grin, the idea exciting you, reaching over to grab a piece of paper. It meant you didn’t buy gifts for everyone, and even with your excessive budget, it was a relief on your wallet.
“So, what if you get someone you don’t know?” Dr. Kline asked, one red brow raising. The ginger woman took a piece of paper anyway as Dr. Monroe passed her a pencil.
“That’s the fun part, you get to bother them and figure out what they like – but you can’t reveal you’re the one buying them their gift. Ask around! Plus, we’re all like…” She moved her hand in a waving motion. “Nerds.”
At that, a few of their coworkers snickered. You noticed even Miguel smiled a touch, rare. You forced yourself to peel your eyes away with a long sip of your coffee and reached over, picking up a piece of paper.
“It sounds fun, any other rules?” you asked as Dr. Kline passed the pencil over to Dr. Schneider. The tall blonde male scribbled his name in his nigh unreadable writing. You plucked the pen from his hand and wrote your own name down in the neatest handwriting you could muster, folding it with a flourish and using your finger to press down the seal.
“Hmmm… No gag gifts. My family usually does a price limit too - how does 30 sound?,” Dr. Monroe mused, tapping a finger to her freckled face.
You could hear a murmur in agreement from everyone as you returned to sipping on your coffee, letting the blonde scientist pick up your paper and toss it in the jug.
Miguel didn’t make a move, sitting back and watching, like he usually did during the company mandated lunch break, as everyone wrote their names. You quickly concluded that Miguel had no plans on participating, there was a little piece of you that was disappointed. He deserved to feel included, big grouch he may be.
It seemed Dr. Monroe noticed, her green eyes narrowed as she motioned the jug over the table, sticking it in Miguel’s face. He leaned back, looking at the small woman over his dark sunglasses.
“I’m not interested.” His smooth voice replied, raising one hand, telling her to back off.
“You’re our boss, you gotta.” Dr. Monroe retorted, too sweet for her own good. The woman was no pushover. A few voices spoke up in agreement. Miguel visibly simmered, slouching more in his chair as his massive hand pushed the box away. Amara frowned but Miguel placed down his own coffee, picking up the pen and writing his name, the script hurried and scribbled.
“Thank yooou-“ She took the paper from Dr. O’Hara before he could stop her, tossing it into the box. She plugged the hole with one of her hands before shaking it vigorously. Watching the tiny blonde woman bouncing the box around like it owed her money made you break out into a smile, hiding your snicker behind the mug you clutched in your cold hands.
Despite the seriousness of your job and Alchemax as a whole (along with your scrooge of a boss), you adored your direct team, they were all nice and reasonably friendly. Your team was one of the more accomplished teams in R&D – at least, as far as the reports your boss provided showed.
You couldn’t help but feel a bit proud. You took your job rather seriously – your last review had you noted as ‘careful and meticulous’.
You could hear a small, casual discussion going on as the team began discussing interests. Apparently, Dr. Yoshida loved something called Warhammer – Dr. Kline was a chronic chocolate addict and Dr. Monroe collected vintage stuffed animals from the 2030’s. It was a good bonding exercise, but you couldn’t exactly reflect on what you wanted.
You were not about to explain your weird love of horror, or your pile of shitty romance books downloaded on your holopad, a dirty secret you would take to the grave if it were up to you. You preferred being the awkward workaholic type anyways, instead of the dreamy weirdo you were in college.
Your eyes drifted to Miguel.
Maybe you’d get lucky and get him – figure out something he’d like and put a smile on his stupid handsome face. You didn’t notice Miguel’s head turn to you quick enough, your gazes meeting, the hints of his hooded eyes under his sunglasses had you move to down your coffee like nothing had happened.
Miguel’s brow raised, but he said nothing as you turned to Dr. Yoshida.
“So – what about you? Worst gift you’ve ever gotten,” Dr. Yoshida asked, his dark eyes narrowing as he turned to face you.
“Uhhh…” You had to think about it.
“Do my student loans count?,” you attempted to quip, forcing a smile. Dr. Yoshida laughed.
Dr. Monroe paused her container’s torture as she placed it on the middle of the table.
“Okay. Pick one. You get yourself – toss it back and take another. Got it?,” she said, moving to pluck one of the strips and unfolding it. Amara grinned deviously before shoving it into the pocket of her lab coat.
You waited until about halfway through, forced to lean across the table. You weren’t often thankful for your height – nearing six feet was often a pain - but now it had its advantage. You plucked a slip from the bowl without ease, and then sat back down with a small ‘oof’.
Your fingers made quick work of unfolding the paper.
‘Hiro’ was written in clear handwriting – Dr. Yoshida. Okay, that made it easy. You’d search up what the hell Warhammer was later, maybe a new tie or something. You glanced over at Dr. Yoshida; he always wore a dark blue tie with some sort of geometric pattern on it. Didn’t matter the color of his shirt. Sometimes it was fine, but he was wearing a deep mossy green recently. It looked awful.
You noticed Miguel’s hand dip into the jug, before flipping open the paper without…any reaction. He didn’t sit back down.
“I’m heading back.” He said without hesitation, mug still in hand as he strode away, leaving his team alone. You wondered who Miguel got – did he get you ? Your cheeks burned as you realized how pathetic you were being, and you had to resist the urge to slap your cheeks to wake yourself up.
The rest of lunch went just fine – small discussion as you and Dr. Monroe discussed your current round of tests. You always got assigned the boring work – and now it was antibiotic creation for a new disease affecting what was left of the cattle population across the US. Printer meat was already commonplace for most of the population, but it didn’t stop those wealthy enough to want something real. So, you got to figure out how to keep the animals alive.
When you had just graduated college, bright eyed and stupid, you had thought you’d be doing important things like curing cancer. Alchemax had other plans.
Lab work after lunch was the same as ever- boring and filled mostly with reviewing code and notes. The amount of calibrating that every machine needed was practically mind numbing. Still, you were thankful for the busy work.
You headed back to your own office at the end of the day. The room was clean and organized as your lab bench. A few personal touches just like your apartment – a rose gold pen caddy that had your pens organized by color, a gray cushion on your chair to make it more comfortable. Nothing too casual, nothing too personal, all workplace appropriate.
You shrugged your lab coat off and packed your bag with your laptop. You gave into the chill and even let your hair out of its messy bun. Your fingers raked through your locks and fluffed it free. You tossed on your gray jacket and put your bag across your shoulders.
You tossed on your pink scarf and seemed prepared enough to brace the open-air parking garage. You tapped the frosted glass of your private office door as it slid open and closed behind you, lights shutting off with no one within. Your expensive non-slip shoes were silent as you made your way to the open hall of your floor.
And there, looming before the elevator, was that massive figure. Miguel.
He wasn’t in his usual white lab coat, replaced with a dark, long overcoat. His hands were in his pockets, and he seemed to be leaning over slightly, putting emphasis on his broad shoulders and small waist. Awfully, you were reminded of one of the junior scientists calling him a Dorito. You tried not to crack a smile at the memory, walking forward as you attempted to calm your own expression.
You tried to keep your distance, moving to check if the button was pressed as the counters pinged down. Miguel seemed to notice your presence, glancing down at you from behind his sunglasses. You met his gaze for a moment from the corner of your eye and swore his eyes looked… red? It was probably just the light.
You glanced away and shifted in place, suddenly all too cognizant of the silence.
You could keep quiet and say nothing, but you should make small talk, right? Be normal .You’d been in this type of situation before, this wasn’t alien. You could feel the warmth on your cheeks. As you opened your mouth to speak, the elevator dinged and saved you from further embarrassment.
You both entered together, taking your places on opposite sides of the small elevator. You were both tall and now you could see why Miguel leaned just a bit – if he was standing straight, he might have hit his head on the elevator door.
He was standing straight now, having almost a foot over your own height.
You were not used to people being larger than you, especially most men. At the most they were eye level. Before you’d met Miguel, you couldn’t understand why some of your college friends found men intimidating.
But Miguel was intimidating.
For the first time, you felt small . His hands were massive. He was massive . He made you feel all too cognizant of what it meant to feel like prey. Like he was strong enough to snap your neck if he was angry enough – not that you’d ever thought he would. He could probably pick you up – the primal desire to be manhandled had you shift in place, trying to ignore your own thoughts. He was your boss for God’s sake.
Miguel beat you to pressing the same button – floor ten’s light flicked on as the door closed. You did your best to take a step back and look anywhere but Miguel.
You were sure that Miguel was cognizant of the effect he had on women. You’d heard people jokingly call him ‘tall, dark and handsome’ more than once, though he always seemed too caught up in his work to notice the looks he got.
It was a harmless crush, Miguel had never as much as reciprocated anything. He was so serious , especially in the last few months. You would have thought that after working under Dr. O’Hara for nearly two years, that you’d get over it, but it got worse whenever the two of you were forced into proximity.
You had nearly 40 floors before the parking garage. You cleared your throat – anything was better than pings as you descended.
“Have you ever done a secret Santa?,” you asked Miguel, head tilting to look up at the massive geneticist.
“No,” he replied, tone blank, not sparing you even a glance. You leaned against the wall of the elevator, biting your cheek.
“Me neither. I think it’s fun. I already know what I’m going to get mine.” You’d tried to sound relaxed, but the inclination of your voice came out nervous.
Miguel raised a brow at you.
“I’m not telling,” you replied, guessing at the wordless question. Miguel crossed his arms; head still pointed in your direction.
“I-It would spoil the surprise. I- wait. I didn’t get – I didn’t get you! I-” Your hands pulled from your pockets and motioned in the air.
“I figured,” Miguel interrupted with the ghost of a grin. You went quiet before letting out a long sigh.
“Sorry. It’s been a long day.” Your voice was back to calm. Brushing a stray lock of hair from your face, you could feel the warmth on your cheeks as you scolded yourself, stop being pathetic – you’re a grown woman. You’re a fucking doctor . You’re-
“Mhm.” Miguel mumbled as the elevator finally stopped and clicked open. You didn’t wait as you were greeted by cold winter air.
You practically ran out of the elevator.
Desperate to get away, you didn’t notice when your foot met ice – melted snow had turned to ice in the garage. You let out a surprised shriek as the concrete ceiling came into view.
Rather than cracking your head open on the concrete like an idiot , you felt hands grab at your armpit and waist, and the back of your head hit something warm and hard as you scrambled for purchase.
“You need to be more careful, chica.” Miguel’s deep voice broke your stuttering train of thought as you relaxed into his grip. Your knees pulled in as you finally stopped stumbling, head lifted back as you saw Miguel staring down at you – smirking .
“ Uh-huh ,” you replied dumbly, eyes wide and a single curl falling across your gentle features. He hoisted you back onto your feet proper and let go. Awkwardly, you swayed and patted your coat.
“T-thanks. I thought I was going to crack my head open.” you remarked with a nervous grin.
“I’d hate that. You’re a good member of the team, doctor. I don’t think I’m too good at making that clear,” Miguel remarked with a sincerity in his voice that had your eyes widening in confusion.
“…Thanks. You’re a good lead. Better than my previous boss. He didn’t like me very much. First job and all that.” You reached out and awkwardly patted Miguel’s arm. Miguel glanced down and raised a brow.
You pulled back. “Sorry.”
“It’s okay. Just don’t forget about the compiled review you and Dr. Monroe are supposed to finish tomorrow.” He kept the conversation casual and work focused.
You were thankful for that.
“Will do, boss.” You grinned, hands crossing over yourself as you ignored the heat on your cheeks. It was cold enough that you both could see your breath. You hoped Miguel didn’t notice the way your face burned.
After a moment Miguel waved and went on his way with large strides. For a moment, you stood there, staring at the back of his head as he walked to his own car like a love struck puppy.
Your hands reached up, pinching your red cheeks as you groaned in embarrassment, knowing you were going to spend the next two years laying awake at night screaming at yourself for this. Eventually you made your way to the metro - deciding that you’d get Dr. Yoshida’s gift tonight. Might as well get something productive today.

if you have been as intrigued as i am by oz perkins' LONGLEGS (2024), here is a very preliminary shot by shot breakdown of its teaser trailer! will we discover anything profound? probably not, but there are some spoilers and speculation/potential spoilers under the cut, so if you want to go in completely blind, be mindful
maika monroe herself in our opening shot, standing in front of her crime board. which seems to mostly feature a cipher (one of what appears to be several that this movie and its marketing are using).
are we to assume that something Bad is happening in this car? probably.
next shot is cut as though this little girl is reacting to whatever is happening outside. i was squinting at whatever is on her desk because i have a feeling it may be important (for reasons mentioned later) but it is difficult to tell.
someone (maika monroe?) is doing research on what appears to be demonology or something related to it. titles of the books are 'a guide to the nine circles of hell' and 'the dark lord's hand' (both books were presumably created for the movie as they don't come up in any searches). beneath the books are notebooks in which she seems to be attempting to decode that cipher (maybe the killer is leaving our protagonist coded hints)
this opening of the book is intercut with a shot i did not include (to save space/because i had little to say about it individually) of the investigators opening a door to a dark room (murder scene?), which is a cool thematic thing. it also precedes...
also this shot is more heavily featured in this teaser with a cipher that when translated reads "hail satan" (check out the decoding work this person has done). well! if we had any doubt that these killings have some kind of religious motivation.
this is the 'guide to the nine circles of hell' book, but i can't make out the text with any clarity. to the right, perhaps another decoding effort is happening -- but i actually think this is maika trying to figure something out about the victims here. the order in which they're going to die, maybe? their locations/how they are chosen? there's a list of people's names beside a field of numbers, and she's drawing a line through some of the numbers.
starting to notice something odd with the aspect ratio - pay attention to how it swaps between standard widescreen and this more voyeuristic type of shot (you also saw this earlier, in the winter shots of the car and the girl), and we'll see if there seems to be any logic to that.
our first look at nic cage! is it scenes involving him/related to him specifically which are shot differently? maybe to induce said voyeuristic quality surrounding him and his kills? regardless: he's busy in his little workshop here. there's a nic cage interview floating around that seems to indicate that his character kills via creating cursed dolls or puppets which drive families insane in a sinister-esque fashion, which would check out here
something wicked is afoot in this hardware store (?) (i can't actually tell what is being sold here)
in presumably the same store, we see an unknown figure offer this girl some kind of small figurine (???). possibly nic cage planting one of his dolls (this is also why i was paying attention to the other girl's desk in the earlier shots, to see if she had anything similar). does he work here? (worth noting however that this is shot in the regular widescreen aspect ratio)
maika is finished with her triangle recreation.... but perhaps she is not alone
few interesting things to note here. 1) woman is getting hit in the back with an axe (in her own home, seemingly not expecting it, lending credence to the killer's MO). her murderer (husband? unsure) appears to be covered in blood. 2) she bears a resemblance to this woman, from a promotional poster and the setting looks as though it's the same one from this teaser. (cipher reads: "stood upon the sand of the sea", referring to a quote from the book of revelation describing a HYDRA, hmm)
3) a change of aspect ratio again, which immediately intercuts with....
maika flinching backwards as though bearing witness to this. could be just some misleading trailer editing, but the implication here is that she is 'seeing' these murders take place somehow. actually, maybe THAT explains the change of aspect ratio? it happens when we're seeing her "visions"?
gonna cover these quicker shots a few at a time: a shadow stumbling/dragging itself through a house as though wounded (not sure if it's the axe-in-the-back woman, because the house looks a little more modern, plus - different aspect ratio), an eerie figure in the woods (feels strangely out of place), another shot of nic cage in his workshop(?) (again with the aspect ratio switch - so if we follow the theory that these are maika monroe's visions, she definitely has some kind of direct connection TO him and not just a voyeuristic connection to his victims).
a person (i initially thought a woman, but that could actually very well be nic cage with his long, scraggly hair) slamming their head into a desk. the shot has interrogation room vibes (to me) but is too bare bones to make out for sure. maika is either... watching/interviewing (that's a camera beside her?) or this is another intercut reaction shot implying their connection.
(i didn't capture it but these shots are also intercut with images of red, gurgling blood, which seems a bit more deliberate than just an edgy choice - if there is a ritualistic element to these murders, perhaps it has something to do with blood)
i think this is nic cage again, but why is he upside down? interesting. unless i AM wrong, they actually show him a lot more in this trailer than initially assumed.
we're in maika-vision (calling it that until further notice) here again, this time to look at some kind of demonic entity (the same one we saw in that earlier shot of the woods?). this calls into question the objectivity of this voyeurism-whatever-it-is, although... obviously this film does have very clear supernatural elements, so hell, maybe nic cage IS being instructed by a demon.
another very clear intercut between maika and nic cage. is that nic cage?! it REALLY does not look like him from this profile angle, but it is possible that they've done some prosthetic work on his face (which they have been very careful not to show in full quite yet - nor do i think they should, since he is such a well known guy. you don't want your audience getting comfortable with him in this role before they actually see him.)
but i digress: another moment where the editing is implying an important connection or parallel (maika seems to be losing it a little - which i would too if i could no longer separate my identity from a killer's and/or their victims)
going forward i would pay attention to how promotional material for this movie is edited In General because they are using it as a very deliberate communicative tool at least in this teaser!
another couple of notable shots. in the first one, a woman (a nun? she seems to be wearing a habit, similar to another woman we will see later) fires a rifle into what seems to be an already blood-splattered car. then (which i didn't include) we see Maika With A Gun (hi maika), and what appears to be a car chase.
in maika-vision again, a man who has seemingly just got done slaughtering all of his cows. probably safe to call an animal harm content warning for this one, pals
ah! that WAS nic cage in the car paralleled to maika -- look at how he's dressed here. yet again they are deliberately hiding his face (also note the background - it would seem that yes, he is working at some kind of paint/hardware store).
two more maika vision shots. the first is the woman we see featured in this poster. the second is a small child who is closing a door to avoid watching whatever they're looking at. neither is having a good day!
there is a targeted amount of religious violence here, which makes sense if our killer is demonically motivated
and last but not least, nic cage murdering a guy (gender neutral) (interesting though because i hadn't assumed him to be the hands-on type given his rather indirect MO).
anyway: that's the longlegs trailer! the most telling takeaway here, in my opinion, is: how much it does actually focus on this sort of duality between maika monroe and nicolas cage and some apparent connection between them. my instinct is that that's going to be the meat of the story (although there is clearly a deeper mythology to explore too -- the cipher, the demon, the nature of the kilings).
one more thing to note: this movie seems to take place over the span of several decades. the teaser posters/captions released by neon are dated by year and reflect as much, and if you're looking for it you can see the aesthetics shift around a bit in the trailer as well.
send me your theories/observations! eager to see if anyone puts some pieces together that i might have missed.

Ok, so it's been a minute since the Teen Wolf movie came out and I finally have the perspective to think about how I would turn it into a canon-compliant and resource-consistent movie rewrite.
If I’m limited to the actors that signed on and the general plot beats of Allison coming back to life, getting the band back together, using the nemeton in some way, Harris and Eli hale. Here is how I would have done it: (please note I have hindsight and no writing ability and even though I mention Monroe a lot she will not actually need to be on screen to comply with not having her actor in the movie)
We kick off not in Japan, not with Scott, none of that.
Beacon Hills is now a supernatural open town in a county that has spent years dealing with the result of an active nemeton. We imply changes through cut shots, like mystic shops and familiar names on fliers. We use the whole county for the surrounding areas to show off these Suttle changes to known locations. Pictures of the original cast in the trophy cases at the high school, the McCall clinic on an open shot of what was once Deaton’s vet office, Mason and Parrish getting into a squad car outside the station. Hale Mechanics and audio body store (more like an AutoZone vibe to cement it more into the community). Kids getting out of class or practice doing a casual backflip down the stairs and another kid pushing them for “showing off” the jeep driving fast down the main street.
We can have a voice-over explaining the main antagonist of the series, the hunters, and how BH though not completely open has accepted supernaturals in a low-number situation as Monroe spent years building up her militia. They did exactly what the show told us they would do, they followed the beacon to the town and found someplace safe. Monroe and the hunters after the death of the final big bad in season 6 and prolonged investment from the BH pack that we see in the time skip of the last episode, were basically reduced to code breakers and young hunters in the last few years. Everyone we know grew up and used their connections to take them down.
We cut to a flashback of a mass arrest of hunters with a joint sheriff’s department and FBI takedown (this is an illusion to Stiles who will not be in the film because we are sticking to actors who signed on to return)
Then we go back to the present day where we get a bit of a where are they now, how everyone settled into new roles, This is shown to us through little Vignette not just told to us but again I'm not a writer I'm going to sum up. We see Christ and Melissa splitting up as he went back to France to work on further cleaning up and spreading new hunter ideology “we protect those who can’t protect themselves”, Jackson working with other packs internationally to network safety and protection plans and help relocate supernatural after hunter problems (illusions to his comfy life with Ethan and happy overseas), mason and Liam staying intown starting their own careers (Liam opening a dinner and working with a new supernatural who came to town in the years – our new kitsune), Malia returning and working for Derek after spending time overseas and wanted to build a home in the one place she felt human, Lydia starting her own tech company with another illusion to Stiles traveling for FBI work, showing that he is not around a lot but they are, if not still together, still in each other’s lives, Scott setting up his animal clinic and rescue along with our new friends, a couple of werewolves (the two we saw in the opening along with some background people we only need for the scene) that come in and out of the town that Scott takes in, some stay, some move on, but all of them are still pack (that's the vibe we are going for), this would also go to explain that people like Hayden left and Cory might be out of town right now but are still around. This would also help explain our new kitsune as well as an introduction to characters that could connect to Eli. (it’s a movie let’s make the world feel bigger) Eli should be about a year younger or so and we don’t have to explain his parentage but can emphasize that his mother might have been one of those strays affected by either Kate or the Argents or a different hunter group, maybe someone Derek met between 4-6 instead of in the middle of 3a-3b.
We go to the nemeton when Scott or Derek is talking to Deaton or the sheriff about how things have settled and stabilized (this could be like the scene with the fire and how Eli has stolen the jeep again or Scott has just done an animal rescue and is talking to Deaton post) and we see a hooded figure doing some kind of sacrificial ritual at the roots of the stump - we see a girl in the dirt - we see her eyes - Its Allison.
Then we can cut to a similar scene of Argent coming back into town, a little time has passed we get a few scenes of Eli trying to fit in with the other high school kids and not doing great, the sheriff running things around town. We did all the set-up scenes and character introductions in the first third/half with the cutaways to something happening in the background. we have little hints that things have been going wrong or strange, a call from Isaac (not seen) to Chris about Allison, rumors Jackson is hearing about an Argent heir, the sheriff talking to Derek about Stiles comes up in a conversation about how it has been weirdly quiet, Lydia drawing or seeing something weird or arrow related, etc.
The movie is now about finally ending the thing that started this all, hunter involvement, and the main issue is a confused Allison who doesn’t have her memories and was convinced by someone that the BH pack is the enemy and must be destroyed. We watch as the rest of the pack come together to figure out - if she’s back - how she’s back - who brought her back, it's calling back to early seasons 1 and 2 'who done it' with a few twists when we find out Monroe is dead but was dabbling in something weird – this can be what Peter is here for.
We get Chris reuniting with everyone and talking to Scott and Deaton about Allison, with illusions to Isaac still in France. We get Jackson back with more of a reason for being there with the noise he has been hearing as a legitimate reason to think hunters are moving again and the lost argent heir that brings him home. We get Peter being the best and a group of kids, Eli plus some of the other strays we saw in the beginning of the movie, being dragged into a war they all thought was long behind them if they were aware of it at all. (those be our New Teen Wolves) Derek is still a dad, but his kid isn’t scared of being a werewolf or shifting but more embarrassed he can’t shift because there are other slightly older, cooler supers in his life (2) and he can’t talk to his dad, the full shifter, about his problems so he is acting out.
we can still have the group trying to find the nemeton again and we can still have interpersonal relationships, but we make the focus simpler and more human. We get Allison relearning who she is and who she was to all these different people while also setting up a new mystery for these new young wolves that their parents are trying to keep them away from. Allison relearning herself is slower and intercut with everyone not just Scott. The twist being that it really is kinda over, at least with Monroe, but that it's never really over. That Harris was brought back as a test drive for Allison and instead used her to get his own revenge, and then we can end on that ominous plug for a new show that they were pushing.
Idk this is all I’ve really got, I’m not a writer, but can you see it?!
I know it’s a little fanficy but 1 that’s what I’m doing and 2 so was the movie, OMG was it the most fanfic trope thing I’ve ever seen.
I feel like it's something. It will never happen and hindsight is 20/20, we can’t play what-ifs. But if I could, I would have made this movie instead of what we got.
Monroe’s last stand, bringing back people from the dead and manipulating them to do her work for her only for it to blow up in her face with Harris and Allison. The real end to the Argents as hunters with Allison coming back and fully embracing the new Beacon Hills and Scott. Relearning what the show was kind of trying to teach us even if it was doing a super poor job most of the time.
Tell me I’m crazy, I want to hear your thoughts.
I know this is nuts, but I had to write this out and send it into the void before it ate me up inside.

Two-time Grammy-nominated progressive metal band SPIRITBOX has announced the "Tsunami Sea" North American tour. Kicking off April 3 in Dallas, Texas, produced by Live Nation, the 24-date tour will hit cities across the U.S. and Canada with LOATHE, DYING WISH and GEL as support.
Tickets will first be available through a Citi presale starting today, December 3. The official artist presale begins on December 4 and will include a special Spiritboxoffice pop-up event in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. where fans can purchase tickets and meet the band. Additional presales will follow on December 5, ahead of the general onsale and Citi Cardmember Preferred Tickets, beginning Friday, December 6 at 10 a.m. local time on Spiritbox.com.
The tour wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To make this possible they have chosen to use Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show in the U.S. or Canada and can't attend, they'll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid. To help protect the Exchange, the tour has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. This applies to all shows except those in Colorado, Illinois, and New York where Face Value Exchange cannot be mandated. Please note, a valid bank account or debit card within the country of your event is required to sell on the Face Value Exchange.
Citi is the official card of the "Tsunami Sea" North American tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, December 3 at 12 p.m. ET until Thursday, December 5 at 10 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program.
The announcement follows SPIRITBOX's second consecutive Grammy nomination for "Best Metal Performance" ("Cellar Door") which no woman has ever won this sole category. The tour announcement also follows the reveal of their anticipated sophomore album, "Tsunami Sea", slated for release on March 7 via Pale Chord / Rise Records. The album's first two singles, the heavy hitter "Soft Spine" and melodic "Perfect Soul", showcase the band's dynamic range and their ability to seamlessly fuse diverse sonic influences, offering a glimpse into the depth and ambition of the forthcoming record.

Formed in 2017 in the picturesque-yet-isolated region of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, by singer Courtney Laplante and guitarist Mike Stringer, SPIRITBOX became a household name in rock circles in the summer of 2020 with the release of their blistering breakout single "Holy Roller", along with a host of other captivating singles shortly after, resulting in a media firestorm of hype.
With new and existing fans eagerly watching their next move, SPIRITBOX exceeded every expectation imaginable in 2021 with the release of their genre-defining debut studio album "Eternal Blue" via Pale Chord/Rise Records. "Eternal Blue", which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200, kicked open the doors of the heavy metal scene and rewrote the genre's playbook with 12 stunning tracks that incorporated everything from djent and post-metal to infectious synth-laden pop sensibilities and cinematic arrangements, brought fully to life by the inimitable Laplante's ethereal and commanding vocal performances.
The album cycle for "Eternal Blue" saw SPIRITBOX not only grace the covers of esteemed music publications such as Revolver, Alternative Press, Rock Sound and Kerrang!, among many others but would also solidify the band as one of the most in-demand groups in live music today with their one-hundred percent sold out, first-ever headlining tour in support of the album which saw ticket sales over 40,000. The band would also share the stage with seasoned metal veterans such as LIMP BIZKIT and GHOST and win "Best International Breakthrough Band" at the 2021 Heavy Music Awards.
In 2022, SPIRITBOX secured highly-coveted spots at numerous major U.S. rock and metal festivals and were nominated for two Juno awards, respectively. SPIRITBOX would also round out their current lineup with the inclusion of drummer Zev Rose and bassist Josh Gilbert in addition to releasing their sonically experimental EP "Rotoscope" in June of that year as well as a cross-genre collaboration with dubstep artist Illenium for the track "Shivering".
During another whirlwind year for the band, including a U.S. tour with SHINEDOWN and PAPA ROACH, SPIRITBOX wrote and recorded their critically acclaimed EP "The Fear Of Fear", released in November 2023. The EP features the single "Jaded", which was nominated for "Best Metal Performance" at the 66th annual Grammy Awards. In the same month, the band would make another genre-bending splash with a high-profile collaboration with rapper Megan Thee Stallion for a remix of her song "Cobra".

Jerry/daphne:
Jerry doesn't even know how much he's serving bc he's so New at it but within like 5 minutes of putting on a skirt he's got heads turning. He's serving transfemme with he/him pronouns. He's sass personified. He's a slut and Just One Of The Gals. Marilyn Monroe complimented his tits. He keeps getting hit on by random dudes, including the mobsters who have specific determination to kill him. He got his ass pinched in an elevator, danced tango until like 5 in the AM and got engaged to a millionaire Immediately. He FORGOT HE HAD A DICK for a minute afterwards and Tony Curtis had to remind him that this movie is made in the late 1950s and takes place in the Prohibition Era 20s so put the fucking kibosh on That shit, Jerry. And not to spoil a movie from 1959, but even at the end when they're all in the boat headed to Venezuela or wherever and he's trying to give his fiancé all these reasons why they can't actually get married he finally reveals he's not, in fact, a woman Osgood doesn't even flinch or hesitate: "Well, nobody's perfect." And that's that on that. Love Wins.

Title: Perfect
Pairing: Jim Gordon/Reader
Rating: PG-13 (language)
Summary: You should've known that Valentine's Day with Jim would be perfect, even when you hated Valentine's Day.
Notes: Happy Valentine's Day!
Warning: fluff and cheese incoming.
You had never been a fan of Valentine’s Day. Even when you were in a relationship, it had always seemed to you like a day that only benefitted corporate America. Not that you hated the excuse to be romantic with Jim, but the point was that you never really needed an excuse. The two of you were romantic with each other all the time. Part of you wanted to insist that you skip any silly Valentine’s Day celebration or grand gestures and just spend it the way you would spend any other Wednesday, but the look on his face when he proudly proclaimed over breakfast a few days before that he had thought of the perfect Valentine's Day activity kept your cynicism at bay. He seemed so excited. Who were you to yuck his yum?
“So, listen, what I was thinking was that we could recreate our first date,” he said as the two of you got into his car to head home on Monday.
You furrowed your brows. “Uh… are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Yeah, I thought it’d be cute and romantic.”
Your brows shot up over your eyes, but apparently he hadn’t noticed.
“We can go to that little Italian place, and then go for a walk in the theatre district,” he said, and your expression returned to one of bewilderment. “Maybe even stop at that same little street cart off of Monroe and get some —”
“That was our second date,” you said.
He narrowed his eyes, looking over at you as you came to a stop at a red light. “Wait a minute, are you saying you count what was supposed to be our first date as our actual first date?”
“Of course, why wouldn’t I?”
“Because we got called into a murder scene before we even got to the restaurant and then spent practically the entire night going over casefiles of similar MOs and waiting on DNA evidence,” he replied.
“Yeah, so? It was still our first date,” you insisted.
“No,” he replied, shaking his head. “I say it stopped being our first date the moment we were interrupted and had to go to work.”
“Are you kidding? We got to spend the whole night together,” you argued with a smile.
“The whole night looking over other murders instead of eating at a restaurant. Yeah, some date. I didn’t even kiss you at the end of the night.”
“Well, I wouldn’t have kissed at the end of the first date anyway,” you teased.
“Oh really? Cause I seem to remember your hands wandering a bit on our do-over date,” he teased.
“I told you, you had dust on your pants,” you answered, trying to contain a smile.
“Oh, that’s right,” he conceded. “Anyway, that night was our first date. Not the one where we didn’t even get to go to dinner.”
“We did have dinner, it was just shitty takeout at the precinct. We still talked, we still got to know each other more. And we danced to the copy machine!”
Jim smiled at the memory.
“Why would you wanna erase that? That was romantic and cute in it’s own special way. I mean, okay, I agree, the murder was a bit too much blood for a first date —”
“You think?”
“Okay, but I don’t focus on the moments that weren’t ideal first date scenarios. I think about the conversation we had while we were waiting on the DNA to come back, and the shitty take out while we were going through old case files looking for similar MOs, and dancing to the copy machine! Seriously, who can say that they’ve danced to a copy machine?”
“Probably not that many people,” he mumbled, sighing after a moment, but apparently refusing to concede. “I still don’t count that as our first date. At best it was maybe a dress rehearsal.”
“A dress rehearsal?”
“Yeah, dress rehearsal,” he answered, the corner of his lips curling after a moment. “You wore that little black dress with the feather prints on it that buttoned down the front.”
You smiled to yourself as you remembered the look on his face when he first saw you in that dress. “I like that dress.”
“Me too,” he replied, pulling up to the curb in front of your building. “Hugged you in all the right places and showed just enough to make me want to undo all those buttons. It drove me crazy.”
“Really?”
“Oh yeah.”
“I mean, I knew you liked it, I didn’t realize you liked it that much,” you said, getting out of the car and waiting for him to reach you on the sidewalk before you walked into the building together.
“I still think about you in it sometimes,” he murmured in your ear while the two of you made your way to the elevator.
Your cheeks warmed and you bit down on your bottom lip, slinking your arm around his. “You looked really good that night too. You should roll up your sleeves to your elbows more often.”
Smirking to himself, he followed you into the elevator and pushed the button for your floor, turning to you when the doors closed. “So you concede that was a dress rehearsal and not actually our first date?”
“No way,” you answered, smiling when he groaned.
“You’re telling me you had more fun that night than on our real first date?”
“Second date.”
Jim rolled his eyes. “You had more fun that night than on our next date?”
“Well played,” you replied. “It’s not about whether I had more fun, it’s that it was so memorable that I don’t want to let it go just because there was a little blood and a couple dead bodies.”
“A little blood?”
“Okay, a lot of blood. That night is still special to me,” you answered. “Even though it wasn’t what we planned, even though it wasn’t ideal, it’s ours.”
He sighed softly, but it wasn’t until the elevator stopped on your floor and you were standing at your front door, waiting for him to unlock it that he turned to you, opening the door to let you in and said, “Okay, you’ve convinced me.”
“Yes,” you whispered, grinning as he locked the door behind you both.
“That doesn't exactly help me though,” he said, tossing his keys on the foyer table. “I can’t recreate that night.”
“You don’t have to, we can recreate our second date like you wanted —”
“Yeah, but the whole romance of it was that I was recreating our first date,” he answered.
“Oh Jim, I don't care about that. I don’t care what we do as long as we’re together. I don’t need anything fancy, I just need you.” You took off your gun and badge and set them on the counter.
“I know, but we didn’t get to spend Valentine’s Day together last year,” he said.
“That’s cause Ramirez got the flu,” you replied.
“Well, still, it’s gonna be our first Valentine’s Day that we spend together. I just want it to be special.”
Smiling at him, you wrapped your arms around his trunk, resting your chin on his chest to look up at him. “It’ll be special no matter what we do because I’ll be spending the night with you.”
“Yeah, I suppose,” he replied, seeming to let it go.
Jim had arranged the schedule so that he would be off while you only worked one shift on Valentine’s Day, which was nice enough for you. You didn’t need anything extravagant to make the day special and you certainly didn’t need the entire day. Still, Jim would not be deterred; from the moment you got home at five thirty, you were greeted with white and red rose petals that led from the front door down the hallway. Instinctively, you smiled at the gesture, but when you looked up to find Jim, he was nowhere to be seen.
The cop in you kicked in for a moment after you called out to him, but got no answer. That was unusual — even when Jim was busy doing something, he would always answer when you called out to him after getting home, and you always did the same. There was a faint sound coming from the bedroom and you instinctively pulled out your gun, following the rose petals down the hall.
“Jim?”
Still no answer, but the noise was a bit clearer as you neared the bedroom. Music. And it was a song you vaguely recognized, but still couldn’t quite make out. Using your foot, you pushed the bedroom door open and scanned the room. Everything looked normal except for the music, which you now realized was coming from the adjoining bathroom. The lights were dimmed, but you didn’t see or hear any sign of Jim, and you started to think the worst. Raising your gun, you slowly made your way toward the bathroom, using your foot again to push the door open.
“Whoa!” Jim exclaimed, instinctively putting his hands up. “Hi. Can you put the gun down please, sweetheart?”
With a sigh, you lowered your weapon. “You didn’t answer, you scared the tits off me. I started to think something terrible happened.”
“I’m sorry, I just wanted to surprise you,” he said, coming up to you. It was at that point that you realized he was wearing a bathrobe. Looking around, you saw tea candles all around the bathroom, a bucket of ice with a bottle of champagne chilling inside it and a bowl of strawberries. The tub was filled with a steaming bubble bath, and the music that played made you grin to yourself as you began to recognize it.
“Wow,” you said.
“Yeah, wow. Let’s put the gun down,” he suggested, gently taking the gun from your hand and setting it on the vanity. “And let’s get your clothes off.”
“That song…” you said as he unbuttoned your flannel shirt.
Jim smirked at you. “It’s the one that was on the radio when we were coming back from the docks the day we met.”
“I can’t believe you even remember that,” you said.
He pushed your shirt over your shoulders, kissing one while he lowered your bra strap off the other. “Of course I remember that,” he whispered against your skin, one hand going to unhook your bra to pull that off as well. “I remember everything that has anything at all to do with you.”
You shivered as he lay kisses along the side of your neck, his hands busying themselves with unbuckling your belt before he unbuttoned and unzipped your pants. He pushed them down, waiting for you to toe out of your shoes before he helped you step out of your khakis and looked you over.
“Christ, you are so beautiful,” he purred, pulling you against him.
You hummed at the feel of his soft robe against your nipples, your hands moving to the sash on the front, untying it and pushing it open to expose his bare chest.
“This is really beautiful,” you said as you pushed the robe off of him.
“I’m glad you like it,” he said, hooking his fingers in the waistband of your panties. “I may have ordered dinner from that shitty take out place.”
“The one from our first date?” you teased, taking your underwear off the rest of the way before doing the same with your socks.
“Don’t start that again,” he replied, gesturing to the tub with his head. “Go on, hop in.”
The two of you sat on opposite ends of the tub, your legs intertwined while he reached for a champagne flute, handing it to you before he picked up the bottle from the ice bucket.
“How was first shift?” he asked playfully.
“Not bad. Actually pretty quiet, criminals must’ve thought to take the day off or something.”
“There’s a first,” he mumbled, pouring some of the bubbly drink into your glass before he poured himself one. Putting the bottle back into the ice bucket, he toasted with you. “Well, we have the rest of the night all to ourselves.”
“What’s on the docket?” you asked, lifting yourself a bit to pick out a strawberry for you to eat.
“I thought we could relax in the bath for a bit, and then have dinner while we watch a movie. You choose whichever film you want.”
“You’re gonna hate me,” you said with a wince, taking a bite of your strawberry.
“I could never hate you,” he replied.
“I kinda wanna binge-watch Dance Moms.”
He nodded and lowered his eyes. “Okay, I hate you a little bit.”
You laughed with the back of your hand over your mouth. “We can watching something else if —”
“No, no, it’s okay,” he assured you.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I said you could choose. I meant it.” He picked up a strawberry for himself and took a bite.
“All of this is amazing, Jim. Thank you so much.”
He smiled back at you, seemingly satisfied with himself. The hand not holding his flute grazed along your calf, his thumb gently stroking your skin as he swallowed what was in his mouth. “Look, I know you’re not one for Valentine's Day celebrations —”
“I never said that,” you answered.
“I heard you talking to Stephens about it last week,” he said. “And you’re right about one thing, we don’t need a special day to be romantic. We never have. But if there’s an occasion that gives me an excuse to pull out all the big guns, I’m gonna take it every single time. Because you deserve it.”
You smiled at him, taking a sip from your flute. “That’s fair. And you really do romance so well, it’d be a shame for those skills to go to waste.”
He winked at you. “My thoughts exactly. And I’m even willing to overlook that you’re a Valentine’s Scrooge —”
You gasped playfully, using your heels to slide yourself closer to him. “I am not a Scrooge.”
“You snarled at the Valentine’s decorations in the lobby of the precinct just yesterday,” he reminded you with a smirk. “And rolled your eyes at the guy selling flowers off of seventh the day before. Face it, honey, you hate Valentine’s Day.”
There was a brief moment of silence as you let his words linger in the air, relieved that he didn’t seem to be taking your aversion to the holiday personally.
“Okay, so I do, a little bit “ you conceded. “You know it’s just an excuse for corporate America to cash in. If you love someone you shouldn’t need capitalism to tell you when to be romantic.”
“That’s true, and I’ll admit that chocolates are always way overpriced around Valentine’s Day.”
“Yes! They know. They know people will buy them, so they mark up the prices and then sit in their gaudy mansions and laugh their asses off because not only have they just made bank off of the hopeless romantics and the saps, but also people praise them for it. And don’t even get me started on the damn teddy bears.”
“Okay, no. Please do not talk about the teddy bears,” he begged, picking up a strawberry and stuffing it between your lips. “I want us to enjoy the night together, and as much as I love watching you get all riled up, I do not want to listen to you rant all night.”
You bit into the strawberry and turned to slide your bottom between his legs, your back to his chest. “Just so you know, if I ever find myself enjoying Valentine’s Day, it’s because I’m spending it with you. Everybody else can eat a dick.”
He snorted into his champagne flute as he took a drink, trying not to spit it out. Swallowing, he pressed his nose against your hair.
“All this though,” you continued, looking around the room with a lazy smile. “All this is amazing.”
“You like it?” he mumbled into your ear.
“Mhm,” you hummed, snuggling back against him. “It’s making me think maybe Dance Moms isn’t exactly the right tone.”
“I didn’t wanna say anything, but yeah, Dance Moms — however fascinating — isn’t exactly the most romantic,” he answered. He set down his flute and gently began to massage your shoulders.
“You’re right,” you said, relaxing against his touch. “How about Breathless? You said you’ve never seen it.”
“Yeah, I could go for that.” He dropped a kiss on your shoulder as his arms wrapped around your waist. “I love you.”
“I love you too, Jim,” you answered, turning your head to kiss his lips. “I don’t know if I’ve ever told you this, but you’re an amazing boyfriend. I’ve never been so happy.”
You felt his mustache twitch and just knew he was smiling.
“That makes two of us,” he whispered into your ear.
The two of you stayed in the bathtub a while longer, leisurely washing each other and taking small breaks to share a series of kisses every now and again. Eventually the water began to cool past the point of being comfortable, and Jim helped you out of the tub and into the shower to warm back up and rinse the bubbles off you. All the while, Jim doted on you with praises, kisses and sensual touches. Afterwards, he wrapped you in a fluffy robe that matched the one he’d had on when you came in.
He brought the bucket that held the bottle of champagne and both your flutes while you took your gun into the bedroom, setting it on the dresser. The two of you got dressed — you in a oversized t shirt and him in a pair of soft flannel pants — and went into the living room. Jim stopped off in the kitchen to reheat the takeout and bring it over to the couch before you played the movie.
After you finished eating, Jim excused himself to the bathroom while you picked up all the garbage from dinner, and poured you both some more champagne. When he came back out, he snuggled up with you on the couch, spooning you from behind and finished the movie with you.
All in all it had been one of the best Valentine’s Days you’d ever had, your feelings on the actual holiday notwithstanding. Though you had no idea that there was one surprise left.
When you walked into the bedroom later that night, there were rose petals and hershey kisses scattered on the bed, a full box of your favorite chocolates leaning against your pillow. He must have set it all up when he’d gone to the bathroom earlier. And even though you had already known it all along, you realized just how lucky you were to be with Jim Gordon.
