Hey guys I beg all of you to try butteries/rowies it's the one thing I liked about living in Aberdeenshire but especially in Scotland you just get them in the supermarket anywhere. I like to buy the super pale ones and eat them cold they are a delicious savoury pastry especially at breakfast in the early morning on the way to work but some people eat them hot.

BON - East Dulwich

9th June

Bon in East Dulwich is a small takeaway cafe on the high street, understated from the outside but really cute inside. We had two iced oat lattes (with sugar), two foccacias and a slice of {you guessed it} banana bread :)

The coffee was excellent so silky even for my decaf mmmmmmmmm

All the merch and cups have a really cute design I would defo wear it out.

So how was the banana bread you ask? Wellllll

It was very light and fluffy, a little sponges which is a good thing for me and bloody hell they cut a thick slice it was like a doorstop. I had a big chunk of banana in mine which I ate first which left me feeling like the rest of the slice didn’t hold much of the banana flavour. While eating I thought I guess this is a nice slice of cake , not even specifically a banana bread so I was distraught on the verge of tears of course.

Overall… 6/10

Light and fluffy but needs more flavour :) will defo go back for that delicious coffee 😵‍💫
