#sylph.txt#i am on episode 7#i'll probably finish watching frieren next#the start was a lil disorientating but i'm getting into it now#i get the feeling that this show is a lot better to watch all at once rather than waiting each week for a new episode lol#the animation is fun (playing w the line thickness always looks good) and the music is p good too. opening is especially 💃💃#in terms of the characters i think i like matakara (very kicked puppy) the most rn?#but boy u gotta give up on ara he's too straight for u lmaoo#mmm as far as arajin goes... idk the extent to which ppl dislike him but i do understand y that is the case now jgkfn#for me i think he is fine. i'm very neutral on him - he serves his purpose as the protagonist well enough#but at the same time i'm not missing him when he's not in a scene y'know. he just doesn't wnna engage w anyone unless it's to get to mahoro#which for me isn't as fun to watch as the other characters interacting w each other#so i was glad to see that there was some progression at the end of ep6 for him bc i was getting a lil impatient lol#the wanting to lose his virginity thing also isn't a character trait i'm usually into (the exception being like. denji)#if mahoro srsly falls for him i'll b disapointed. tho. i did not know she was gnna b like that w marito so mb it'd for the best lmao?!#ALSO he's rude to his mother!!! it's not srs but it still speaks to his character like b POLITE (...she's never worried abt him tho jgkf)#anyway i rambled a lot abt him but he's not awful. i'm just waiting to see if/when he's gnna get it together
