[MMD] Baka Mitai Meme Motion Dist.

This was hosted on my deviantart for a long while, but I'm deleting that page so I needed to host this elsewhere. I made this motion a few years back, but I remember all the dead links of my MMD days and would hate to do that to someone. Motion in use: My video! And a Miku and another one! DL and FAQ below ⇣

FAQ: Q:"This doesn't work with my model!" A: The readme includes a list of facials and bones your model should have for this motion to work. If your model includes these parts and still doesn't work, let me know.

Q: "Where do I attach the cup/the cup isn't working properly?" A: Your model should have a bone labelled as Dummy_R, as stated in the readme. This is the bone you attach your drinking glass of choice to. Alternatively, you can end the video short of the glass part if you don't want it added, I just usually saw the memes run out to that point and added it in as per my own preference. If you're new and don't know how to do this, here's a quick run-down:

[Go to the accessory manipulation panel in the camera/light/accessory panel. It's where you load items in. There will be a box that says "ground." Click it, and click the name of the model you want to be holding the glass. The box next to it will then say "center," "view cnt," or any number of things. Click it, find "Dummy_R," click that, then click register. All done!]

Q: "When are you going to make a full version/Are you going to make a full version?" A: No :) I'm less involved in MMD these days but I might make motions again one day.

Q: "Why do the models look so janky once I pull the camera away from shoulder-height?" A: This motion was made for a close-up that cuts off at the shoulders. I didn't include camera data for it specifically cause I figured people would want to play around with what looks nice.

tips:

an easy way to make an mmd model if you can't do it from scratch is to make a model using vroid, then use a program to convert it from a .vrm file to a .pmx file

you can find motions (as in the animations for dances n the like) that other ppl already made simply by looking up "motion dl" or "モーション配布" on sites like youtube or nicovideo

same goes for poses, stages, models, etc - slap dl/ download/ distribution/ 配布 at the end

you can find free stages on pixiv booth w "MMDステージ"

beamman is a specific person who makes a lot of mmd effects, the shaders i use the most are by them https://w.atwiki.jp/beamman/ (shaders are the lighting/ shadows/ sometimes textures)

Note: The stage and the camera were slightly edited for the purpose of highlighting the choreography. Some shots are edited, like in the lyric ("This useless time we piled up together..."), and are not in the original. The stage, Secret Garden, had its tables and chairs removed so that Miku could dance around without bumping into anything. The author of the stage has allowed editing, but I am not sure about the camera's author. If any such claim over the prohibition of editing the shots is released, the camerawork will be edited to its former version.

If I can find an MMD model of Nine, so help me I'm gonna make a video of him singing Let It Go.

I've done a Let It Go video before, I can do it again.

I just also need to find the set again.

EDIT: I found a Nine model, but it isn't rigged correctly for motion use. It's just a straight unedited rip of the model from Speed Battle with no edits to the bones.

Which. Makes this immediately more difficult because I don't know HOW to re-rig an MMD model like this.

If any of you guys have experience with MMD and PMX Editor and know how to re-rig a model correctly, please let me know, and here's the link to the model dl!

EDIT 2: I FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX IT!!! I forgot that the batch name editor existed 😅 and then it was just a matter of figuring out how to add IK bones but so now I have a fully rigged Nine model :D

Did this as a joke. The reason for Blitzo just standing there and T Posing was because the model I found sadly isn't compatible with motion data, so I thought putting him a T Pose would still make it funny.
