pleased to report that glee season 2 has not been giving me many things to complain about recently. i mean part of it is cuz i've just had school stuff going on so i haven't been watching it as frequently but also, after the rocky horror glee show at least, it's been pretty enjoyable!! dare i say, good.

episode 8 in particular was pretty good despite the fact finn had a major role in the episode

do whatever you want with that information. anyway with that out of the way i finished s1. artie seems to be entering his misogyny era now. i guess he was the only non-kurt guy who also had speaking lines (rip in peace matt <3) who wasn't super weird about women so. this will be mentioned on his report card.

anyway it's a good thing i haven't been like, making a post for every episode. there were 22 episodes in s1 and i'm pretty sure my eyes glazed over for about half of it. stuff happened but a lot of it was stuff with william or finn hudson so i didn't care or pay attention.

and s2's first episode was. seutisdgthhtaosgu. ugh. it uh- it. yeah. the 2nd hand embarrassment was strong with this one. coach beiste didn't even do anything and william and sue are being awful to her for fun.

rachel sending sunshine to a crackhouse, artie, finn hudson being annoying. it was like, the most painful 43 minutes of television i've ever sat through. i liked the recap and "what'd you do over summer" shit and it was all downhill from there. excited to see if the rest of the season will suck that badly. except for the musical numbers obviously, those were great. except for the part where finn hudson rapped.

i had heard about how badly glee treats mercedes but actually seeing it for myself is like, wow they really did treat her like shit. granted i'm still in s1 but she gets relegated to belting the last note in a song or is like, the supporting character of a subplot with someone else. yea she's fucking amazing at belting, but that doesn't excuse the fact she doesn't get to do anything else. i feel like the most substantial thing she's gotten is her cheerios plotline.

meanwhile finn hudson gets solos despite the fact he sucks fucking shit. he's got a good voice, yeah, but kurt and artie are better at singing and have better personalities.

also rachel is literally fine. i've been reading comments about her saying she's like, the worst bitch ever and gets everything handed to her on a silver platter.

she just got egged in the school parking lot by a guy she thought she could trust and everyone in the show is mean to her. i don't even disagree with the idea that she's kind of annoying, but she's like actually entertaining and, dare i say, a good character. she's just committed the heinous crime of being a vaguely annoying 16 year old girl.

and also quinn is treated like dirt and the show just kinda pretends her suffering like it isn't something deeply traumatic for her. puck literally got her drunk to have sex with her, then she got pregnant. quinn's parents kick her out as soon as they find out, everyone at school judges her for being pregnant and she's kicked off the cheerios. finn clearly just wanted her for her body, then puck does the same, but cuz quinn's parents are so emotionally fucked, she probably doesn't see anything wrong with it.

before they break up, finn never stops to consider quinn's feelings about the pregnancy until puck says he should, not that puck does either. quinn fabray is a deeply lonely girl who has had everything stripped away from her in a matter of months and the show just ignores it.

ryan murphy i am going to kill you. and then i am going to kill you again. all the girls in this show, or s1 at least, are treated like actual shit, meanwhile finn, puck, and william fucking suck and get praised. finn has to learn girls have feelings too and maybe he shouldn't be homophobic towards kurt and it's given the same weight as quinn rightfully complaining about her complete social ostracization as a result of getting pregnant because puck fucking raped her

as usual my besties quinn and mercedes carried another episode from "irredeemable garbage" to "didn't make me stop watching out of second-hand embarrassment"

so like after i watch an episode of glee, i go bitch about it to someone for enrichment and today i was complaining about finn again to my mom and she, having never watched or interacted with anything glee, said "well, hopefully they kill him off." and well. funny story about that.

"i am so sick of you feeling sorry for yourself" finn hudson there has not been 1 (one) episode where you didn't bitch about how tragically difficult and hard your life is (it's not). literally earlier this very same episode you sang a song about how jealous you were that some other guy was dating rachel and bitched about how you aren't getting solos.

why does the show keep focusing on how much finn's life sucks now that he's gonna be a father despite the fact quinn's the one that's pregnant? she's a teen mom and her life is literally crumbling before her eyes but yea finn's life sucks because the football team is mean to him :(( that's so saaad :(((

what do you mean quinn's parents literally kick her out when they find out she's pregnant? the football team threw slushies at finn! his life is so sucks. just ignore the fact quinn was standing next to him both times and also got hit the 2nd. and also the fact quinn got kicked off of the cheerleading squad. and how the whole school knows she's pregnant.

been watching a lot of clips of it lately so i finally watched the first episode of glee and i can understand exactly why it was so popular. also this show sucks but in like, a fun way
