Lukanette Fic Prompt: Adrien Outraged
A funny fic prompt that is free to take as long as you tag me in it.
Chat Noir goes to transform after a battle that featured Viperion; upon finding his hiding spot on top of a building he sees on the ground Ladybug talking to Luka. He is shocked as he sees them kissing.
Adrien knows that Luka is dating his good friend Marinette and can only come to one conclusion:
Luka is cheating on Marinette with Ladybug!
He is certain that 'his lady' doesn't know that Luka is taken and knows just how happy Marinette is with Luka and she has become more open. This would crush her if she knew that her cool boyfriend who reads her soul as music is a double timing jerk who is playing around with both his good friend and his partner.
He decides that he must confront Luka and expose what he is doing.
Plagg knows exactly what is actually going on thanks to knowing Marinette's identity but is helpless to tell him because of the stupid magic. He just knows that whatever happens; it certainly won't be boring.

Based on some talks on discord, consider this:
For Marinette, fashion is a hobby, a lifestyle. Adrien, though, not so much. For him, fashion is an obligation. He doesn't get to choose what he wears. If he has any opinions about it, they're probably dismissed and ignored, because he exists for the fashion, not the other way around.
But now imagine that Marinette starts teaching him. She teaches him about fabrics and cuts, about colors and patterns. She teaches him which colors go well together, which have interesting contrasts and so on. She teaches him her ethos about clothing: Not to sell the most expensive stuff, or to sell the most stuff, but to express yourself, who you are, what you want to say about yourself.
As she keeps doing that, Adrien starts to see fashion in a whole new light. Through her eyes, he develops an understanding and love for the field that he's been working in his whole life. He knows how the fashion industry works. But she is the one who shows him how fashion works. And through this, he only keeps falling more and more in love with her.

What would you think if Chloe and Audrey heard rumours about the way they were going to be portrayed in Astruc’s new movie, so they went back to Paris in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the movie from being completed? Then an evilized villain (maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe (in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state (heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall many of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks “Zoe's” change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since “Zoe” is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince “Zoe” to let them help her relearn how to be “herself” again.
Zoe is not able to gain access to Chloe's memories while in Chloe's body, because unlike Chloe, Zoe knows she's in the wrong body. In New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt Marinette. Eventually, after listening to “Chloe”, Marinette starts to suspect that “Chloe” might be telling the truth, so she decides that she must test “Chloe” and “Zoe”. She fakes being in danger to see how they react. “Zoe” reacts slightly faster than “Chloe”, so Marinette comes to the conclusion that “Chloe” is lying and that “Chloe” has an evil and manipulative plan. Marinette thinks that “Chloe” must have picked up a few tricks from Lila, because she thinks no version of Chloe could possibly react faster than Zoe when it comes to protecting her. So Audrey takes “Zoe” back to New York again to “correct” her after “Zoe” fails to convince anyone of the truth.
10 years later, “Zoe” gets seriously injured after fighting a villain when Ladybug isn’t around, which causes “Zoe” to not have long to live. Then Ladybug accidentally stumbles upon the truth about “Zoe” while trying to help “Zoe” using magical powers. Ladybug decides that the moral thing to do is to switch Chloe and Zoe back to their original bodies. Once Zoe gets her body back, she blames Chloe for her impending death and for leaving her with 10 years of loneliness, while Chloe got off scot-free. When Lila gets defeated, Zoe steals the Butterfly Miraculous to get her hands on Ladybug and Catnoir’s miraculouses, hoping to “make things right”. Zoe gets defeated by the heroes (including Chloe, who has gotten her memories back) and Ladybug manages to cure Zoe’s injuries.
It sounds like an interesting story in concept. Personally not my cup of tea cause I'm not a big of Chloe and Chloe redemption as most of the fandom is, but I think Chloe fans would like it.
Though, there is the question of why Ladybug didn't cast the cure after defeating the bodyswap villain, hence fixing Chloe/Zoe's switch, since it's a villain in Paris. This question could also apply to the villain that injures "Zoe" in the future, but that's a more vague point so I can let it slide. This was a problem I had with the actual show too, since Ladybug just neglecting to cast the cure during Representation felt out of character and like a plot contrivance.
I also think Marinette would be a little more willing to listen to Zoe's story. We've seen time and time again that she reaches out to people who've wronged her in the past, even if they haven't acted in a way that shows they deserve it yet. We also know that Chloe is a somewhat bad actor so Marinette could probably pick up on Zoe's genuineness too.
Also, why would Audrey take Zoe's body back to New York with her? Isn't Chloe's body the one "acting up"? Zoe's body wasn't the one trying to "convince anyone of the truth".
Also also Chloe would be in a boarding school in London and not in New York if this takes place anytime 3-4 years after canon (or however long high school lasts in London).
There's also the philosophical question of if "Chloe in Zoe's body" is even Chloe anymore. Perosnal opinion, but the redemption feels less earned if she has no memory of her past wrong-doings. Even if she regained them in the end, she spent 10 years thinking she was already a good person, meaning she never actually has to learn how to make up for her past mistakes. Chloe never works towards redeeming herself (Just like canon, cough cough).
Anyways those were my thoughts on this prompt. I didn't know if you wanted constructive criticism or just blind praise but here we are lol

ML Prompt
Nino was doing a movie entitled "The Wedding Planner" - a film about a couple in love saddled with a wedding planner who was determined to destroy the wedding due to their intense adoration of one of the lovebirds, wanting them for themselves instead, whilst also having a long-running vendetta regarding the other lovebird and wanting to cause their downfall - and, with the help of Alya, wrangled Adrien and Marinette into being the leads for the couple.
Despite any reservations anyone may have made about their ability to work together in this capacity, Adrien and Marinette were really selling the love for one another, and while Marinette's flustering did make the occasional appearances between takes, during takes she was professional, drawing from some unknown strength within her. Nino watched Adrien progressively take notice of Marinette more, linger closer to her for longer, reach out for her a little more, staring longingly at the prop rings whenever she wore them.
But there was...a slight, very minor, not-really-that-big-a-deal occurrence that he had to make them aware of. Turns out that the priest he hired for the wedding scene was a literal priest, and the paperwork he had them sign in the background of the takes were authentic, real, valid paperwork that they had all signed with their actual names because the camera was never going to take a shot of it and they thought it'd be a funny prop to frame once one of them took it home. But no, it was no longer a prop. That marriage certificate was real. They were married. Adrien and Marinette were legally married. And Nino had to be the one to break the news to them.
(Aged-up, pre-reveal, pre-relationship, feelings realisations, Adrienette, identity reveal, Love Square.)

Partnership: ML ficlet Adrien/Ladybug
This is a little scene between my fic 'Half baked' and the next full fic (there might be more ficlets too) Ladybug goes to visit Adrien and see how he is doing with everything. Story under the cut. 1.5k.
It was late, but it was also the earliest she could escape to her room for the night. She had wasted no time before transforming and swinging across Paris. She hoped he was still awake.
Standing on the ledge on her tiptoes, body pressed to the glass of his giant second story windows, Ladybug suddenly doubted herself. Is this too forward? He hadn’t seen her yet. He was at his computer, doing what she couldn’t tell. It was the set of his shoulders again that made her mind up for her. That goofy cat should never look defeated and downcast.
Ladybug tapped on the glass with her yo-yo.
Adrien startled. Turning, he looked up and seemed confounded by her presence, completely paralyzed for a moment. In that moment she started to panic. He beat her to it though.
Adrien’s eyes widened. He turned and dove for his computer’s mouse. In his haste he knocked it off the desk. Instead of going after it he grabbed one of his monitors and flipped it facedown on his desk before dashing to the window beside where she stood. Adrien shoved it open so far he almost fell out, recovered, and leaned against the closed window on the far side. His elbow slipped on the glass only once.
“L-ladybug! Hey… fancy meeting you here.”
It was strange seeing total failure from the outside for a change. It was also oddly comforting. Ladybug could give him the smile she had often needed in her own life. Losing the cat must be affecting him more than I thought.
She ducked and crouched at the open window. “Hi, I hope I’m not imposing… Do you mind if I come in?”
Adrien was off in a dash. “ofcoursecomeinsorryitsamess,” was left in his wake.
He dusted off a perfectly clean couch. Before Ladybug could even get a foot down he perked  and ran back. He reached up to offer her a hand down, a sheepish smile on his face and a familiar kind spark in those bright green eyes. I miss his cat eyes.
At that unbidden though, Ladybug nearly fell climbing in through the window. She recovered quickly, catching his hand, and made a show of looking around to try and distract from her fumble.
“You have a huge room, and all sorts of fun things to do in here.”
He was looking around too now, as if seeing his room for the first time.
She prompted, “Enrichment for an energetic kitty?”
His head snapped around. Their eyes met. Ladybug felt her cheeks burn and looked away quickly. She sat down so fast the couch rocked under her and her blush deepened. She fidgeted with her yo-yo, wondering just where these traitorous impulses were coming from. I’m here for him!
For him, or for him?
Ladybug’s stomach fluttered at her internal monologue. Adrien saved her, clearing his throat, “wHaT *cough* What can I do for you, Ladybug?”
“Oh!” Blessed distraction, “I stopped in to see how you were doing, with everything. We barely had a chance before…”
“Before I screwed up,” Adrien finished where she trailed off. The self recrimination dripped from his words.
The clenched fists and tense shoulders were exactly what she had come here to fix. Wanting to and knowing how were different though. He was still standing beside the couch, Ladybug scooted over and patted the spot beside her.
It broke him out of the moment, he moved timidly but sat beside her. When he did she folded her hands in her lap to keep from taking his. “It could have happened to anyone. You could have been the one visiting me, a cat without a bug.”
His eyes widened, desperately earnest. “I’d never let that happen.”
She snorted even as something melted inside her. “Oh, so I let you down?” she teased.
“No! I didn’t mean-” Watching him fumble buoyed her own nerves.
Ladybug waved him off with a smile. “I appreciate the thought, but for now the best you can do is try to remember anything you can about the person who attacked you. I don’t want you getting hurt with no Miraculous.”
She caught the flash of something in his eyes before he looked down. This time she did take his hands, squeezing.
“Is there anything new? Anything at all?”
He swallowed. “I want to help, to get it back. I did think I knew who it was at first, but… whoever it is, isn’t the person I thought.”
He looked up, and the flash had become a new conviction that scattered the questions in her mind.
He squeezed her hands back, “I’ll get it back, you won’t be alone for long.”
The fluttering in her stomach turned to warmth with only an edge of fear, “Why do I feel like there’s no way I can talk you out of trying?”
A Noir-ish grin graced his lips, her heart rose, “Oh you know us cats, we don’t listen to anyone.”
They sat together in that moment before both looking down as one to where they still held hands. With tension broken, panic rolled back in. Ladybug snatched back her hands as her cheeks burned, saved by the fact Adrien seemed to have done the same. She didn’t know if his cheeks were burning, she was busy inspecting the ceiling.
He spoke first again, “So, whoever has it, helped you today?”
Ladybug grimaced, the fire on her cheeks doused itself as she turned back. “Helped,” she made air quotes for good measure. “They’re no partner. Even if they aren’t working with Hawkmoth, they’re a thief and opportunist at best.”
She thought that would cheer him up, but that handsome golden visage seemed thoughtful at best. When he spoke it cleared up her confusion though, “It does mean it’s not terrible though, if they are going to fight Hawkmoth? I mean, temporarily, it’s okay?”
Ladybug blew out her cheeks, it was all still so overwhelming. “I… guess? It’s no substitute for you out there. I don’t need people yelling at me and haring off on their own instead of listening.”
As her spirits flagged, Cat No- Adrien was there to bring them up. He nudged her. “Well, that second part isn’t entirely new…”
She scooted closer and shoulder bumped him back, smiling. “Not entirely.”
The silence that followed was a comfortable one. There was no explosion of embarrassment when Adrien broke it again. “Maybe I could work on the mystery of Hawkmoth? Behind the scenes… until I- we- you- get my miraculous back. I could connect with the Ladyblogger, she’s in my class.”
Ladybug knew that very well. Would it be that bad to share my identity with him? It would make things easier… but it would mean giving him up as a partner probably…
She couldn’t do that.
So instead they delved into his school life, the Ladyblog, and easy mundane little things. Ladybug was proud of herself for not prying too hard into the classmate ‘Marinette’ when Adrien mentioned her. She couldn’t help the imbalance they had right now, but she wouldn’t take advantage of it. Time flew by. He grew animated and bright once more. She was able to forget she was sitting there in a mask and magical spandex.
It was unwelcome, when her yo-yo chirped a preset alarm at her. Ladybug silenced it but sighed at Adrien’s curious look. “I should get going. A bug’s life isn’t all sunshine and cute bo-”
She bit her tongue tip and jumped up.
“Aha yeah so I gotta go. It’s been great! I’ll visit again you. Soon very me trust. Up spirits keep gotta!”
She couldn't get to the window fast enough. Her feet had decided to betray her. The hero of Paris stumbled at the window in her haste.
He caught her.
A strong and mindful arm around the waist, helping set her right. He let go but took her hand. “Well then, if I may?” He dipped his head.
In mental paralysis, she inclined her head just slightly.
He bowed over her hand and raised it to his lips, “It was a pleasure M’Lady, I await your return with bated breath.”
She saw cat ears that weren’t there perk and wiggle. The light shone human eyes where feline slits should be. Ladybug squeezed the hand that held hers before letting go, “We will get it back, Adrien.”
With that she was out the window and gone. She had come to give comfort and received it in kind. Yet- her feelings were a jumble. She felt less sure of everything than ever before; less sure, but more happy.

Period sex
Tumblr media
Dear fellow menstruating people who have or had sex during menstruation. I have gone down a rabbit hole: I am currently taking part in Kinktober. One prompt: (Day 17) period sex.
So I wrote a story – using the 'trope' of blood as a natural lubricant. During my research I often read that menstrual sex is more pleasurable because of the 'extra lubrication'. I was editing my story and everything I wrote just felt wrong. So I read some older stories about this trope. Problem: I can't agree with them. Firstly, my personal experience, and secondly, I am an engineer. So let's try to science/engineer the shit out of it: There are basically two problems here 1. Periodic flow is a good lubricant 2. Extra lubricant from period flow improves sex
1. Technically, lubrication is used to reduce friction. When you need lubrication for specific purposes, you have to consider the many specific properties of the lubricant (e.g. density, viscosity, demulsibility, etc.). Normally, the wetness of an aroused woman is enough to reduce skin-to-skin friction and make the encounter enjoyable. She has the perfect density and viscosity for this. (Dry sex is no fun, e.g. sex after removing a tampon).
A good artificial lubricant for sex is designed to reduce skin-to-skin friction over a long period of time (no drying out, stays where it is applied). Water, for example, might seem like a good idea, but no. Mainly because it has a very low viscosity (it also promotes corrosion, but that's not relevant here). Anyone who has gone down a water slide knows that skin contact on the slide slows you down. You can even get stuck. The water is pushed out from under you and you have high friction. (That's why I don't like sex in water - but that's another topic.) I quote my old professor: "Water is for cooling, not for lubricating" - to be fair, that was said in a different context.
The 'period flow' is basically just normal blood (which is actually watered down compared to the blood in your veins) and some of the cervical mucus that needs to be flushed out. It's not even a perfect emulsion (if you use a menstrual cup, you may have noticed that the consistency is quite uneven). To be on the safe side, let's take the properties of the worst component of this imperfect emulsion: Blood. It behaves like water. And (I repeat) water is not a good lubricant.
2. When a woman gets her period, there's some additional lubrication to her natural wetness (when aroused), but it's minimal. Period flow is often overestimated. It's a total of 60 ml (we could calculate an hourly flow), but let's make it easy and estimate a constant flow of the whole amount for a whole day, so 2.5 ml per hour. Or half a teaspoon per hour. This is really not a lot of 'extra' lubricant (and we have been very generous in our calculations).
Now we put the two together:
The problem now is mixing them. When you mix lubricants, their properties change. Ask petrolheads about motor oil - you'll get a free lecture. Or ask my old professor: "Mixing lubricants reduces their performance".
When you have sex during your period, two types of lubricant mix together. The natural everyday lubricant (perfect lubrication) and the "period flow" (poor quality additive). This reduces the overall quality of your lubrication during your period. Basically, the blood makes your vagina more watery. This means that sex during your period has more friction due to the poorer quality of the lubricant. A little more quantity might compensate for the poor quality of the mixed lubricant, but don't count on it.
Conclusion:
At best, sex during your period will be like sex at any other time because the amount of extra blood is so small (but maybe the thought of it will turn you on and make you wetter), at worst it will just hurt because of too much friction.
So, if this were a risk management scenario: to be on the safe side, use lubricant.
Sorry if I destroyed any kink fantasies.
Full disclosure: I haven't found any scientific papers on the lubricating properties of period flow vs. natural lubrication, (just a paper on whether women like having sex during their period) but please let me know if you know of any.
Am I wrong?
Any comments? Ideas?
Thanks for your attention. Sorry for the lecture.
TLDR: I wrote a story for Kinktober about period sex. Had big issues with the 'tropes'. Rewrote it according to my (not really scientific) research, which suggests that lubrication is actually worse.

For me personally the super dark romantasy male lead vibe in an m/f story isn’t appealing. Like this doesn’t mean I need my MLs to be pure obviously (this should be clear from the fandoms I’m into), but domineering, manipulative, controlling toward their love interest is a turn off for me. This doesn’t mean I can’t EVER like it, but it’s uncommon.
It’s not purity culture. I don’t care if others enjoy it.
Firstly, it is that it reminds me personally too much of real life, and this is why it is hardest for me to see with m/f ships. Because I see women treated like this every day.
This isn’t a moral judgment on fiction or being unable to separate fiction from reality. I just can’t mentally bring myself to find this appealing because in my mind that’s how it is. I don’t think it shouldn’t exist. Not every story is for me.
Adding to this, and maybe even more of a factor; I’m gay, so there’s nothing tying me to this on a fantasy level. I respect that women find escapism in stories like this, and it can be sexually alluring, but as I’m not attracted toward men at all, let alone do I ever imagine a relationship with one, I can’t approach it like this.
My attachment to an m/f relationship is purely an emotional connection to their characters and their relationship because of this. If it doesn’t resonate with me there, there’s nothing to be interested in.
This is to say I saw a post recently talking about this, and it seemed to be of the opinion that you either like these kinds of stories, or you can’t separate fiction from reality. But that’s not true; personal preference, sexuality, etc. are all things that can tie into feelings on them that have nothing to do with not being able to separate fiction from reality.
To what originally prompted this post, Ziqi is the latest character who is much darker in his original novel than his adaptation, and I vastly prefer the character in the adaptation. I’m not interested in a yandere boyfriend for Miaomiao. I adore Ziqi as a character in the drama.
What bugs me is the idea from some fans that his drama self is inferior. He’s such a good, layered, and complex character in the drama, and DYX brings him to life with sensitivity and care. I could ramble about this boy for days. He’s different. He had to be. But he’s not lesser.
I think if you’re a fan of a novel like this being made into a drama, you should probably realize that the character has to be altered a lot in the changeover. And sometimes this can be done poorly (Kill Me, Love Me is an example of doing a sloppy job imo), but when the writers, within the limitations they have, use this opportunity to craft a character that may be different, but is still excellent (or even better), it should be appreciated on its own merit.
If you love novel Ziqi more than anything and don’t want to see him softened, that’s fine, but it’s just different, not less. And if you like both versions? You get two cakes!
Drama Ziqi isn’t novel Ziqi. Comparing the two the way some fans do really says nothing about the actual writing quality. It just ends up reading as ‘novel Ziqi is better because he’s darker.’ Which… no. From a writing quality perspective, that’s just a personal preference, not a reason.

🚨ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS, WRITERS, & CREATIVES🚨 You have ‘til 10/30, 9PM PST TO LET THE COPYRIGHT OFFICE KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT AI 🤖
They want answers on all kinds of questions, like training datasets ingesting creatives' works or the copyrightability of outputs. Here’s a guide I transcribed from my Twitter on how to get started:
On the comment submission page, there is the “Notice of Inquiry” document where the Office literally gives you what questions they want answers to (p12-21) - and there’s a LOT of them. Like, 50 at least. (It’s honestly so prohibitive to the average creative, which is why I made this guide). You DON’T have to answer every single question - just pick the ones that speak to you the most or ones you understand the best! To make it easier, here’s an edited list of questions that are most relevant for creatives
You DON’T have to be based in the US to submit a comment. In fact, the Office asks for examples of how other countries approach copyright & AI (Q#4), so if you live in places like Britain, Japan, etc. that have made major moves in those areas (for better or worse), leave a comment!
Below are some important questions for actors and VAs in particular. Though voice and likeness aren’t generally protected by copyright law, the Office is interested in hearing how AI may be impacted by state laws involving right of publicity or unfair competition (Q#30, Q#31).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
📝WRITING TIPS📝
The Copyright Office’s goal is to create the best policy. Be clear, be constructive, and explain the reasoning behind your position. Wherever possible, counter the other side’s arguments. One well supported comment is more influential than 1000 copy paste ones!
Provide evidence - facts, expert opinions, your personal experience. How is AI already impacting you? Your industry? How will it impact you in the future? What are some stories you've seen in the news or social media about AI?
The Office is also VERY interested in any papers or studies relevant to AI and copyright (Q #3), so feel free to include a link to this incredibly informative paper on AI’s impact on artists
Be sure to mention any relevant personal or professional experience and credentials to lend more weight to your arguments, i.e. # of years drawing, years in the industry, major projects, awards won, union membership, etc
Here are some solid comments submitted by artist Kelly McKernan and screenwriter Bill Wolkoff if you want to see some examples
OTHER TIPS (courtesy of my ADHD brain): Schedule a block of time to write your thoughts out! Coordinate a little sesh with your friends! Keep a copy of your work in a separate doc! It’s so important that we get our concerns and ideas out there 💪
YOUR COMMENTS will not only inform the Office’s own work in determining what protections creatives may receive in the face of AI, but also inform their advice to Congress on potential generative AI legislation - so make your voices heard and SPREAD THE WORD! 📢📢📢
If you want to stay informed on this issue, particularly as it concerns visual artists, I highly recommend you follow @kortizart @ZakugaMignon @stealcase @chiefluddite @JonLamArt @ravenben @human_artistry on twitter and AI ML Advocacy on Insta (I don’t know of any tumblr blogs that actively follow this issue, so please reblog/comment below if you do!)
You also may know about the Concept Artist Association’s GoFundMe to represent artist voices in government - they made some big moves in the regulatory and congressional space, and are now fundraising for year two! 🙌🙌🙌
tagging some very cool creatives I follow that I believe care about how AI impacts their craft so this post doesn't die in the tumblr void 🫡

In this AU, I really wanted to go for the world and vibes that were built in season 1-2, the concept art, and the ladybug PV, as well as the setting being changed to the early 2000s. Having Marinette’s life seem like a happy fashion game of the 2000s with a superhero secret was just such a fun concept to explore!
And all references for the concept art is from the artbook wiki*, so big thank you to all that have contributed to that archive!
Miraculous are handed down from the holder to a trusted next instead of a guardian. Kwamis are called faeries, and were created as the embodiments of emotions and ideals that have worked alongside humans for ages. Fae in the past have never been bound to a certain accessory to transform. If the humans had bonded with a faerie, they would just utilize any jewelry on their holder as a miraculous.
There’s different kinds of fae that have existed in the world, but the ones in the story are listed below.
The Ladybug fae represent luck and creation
The Black Cat fae represent destruction and rebirth
The Bee fae represent justice
The Fox fae represent truth
The Turtle fae represent wisdom
The Butterfly fae represent communication
There are multiple fae of a kind (so multiple ladybugs and black cats have existed in the past in different regions, and it is entirely possible for past ladybugs to have existed in the same time in different places for this reason) and used to be plentiful, but the number of fae have decreased dramatically because of the faerie Null.
There is only one faerie of Null, and he was an anomaly amongst the fae. He had no powers himself, but he had the ability to absorb other faeries and steal their energy and powers, becoming stronger himself this way. He seeks to destroy the rest of the fae; wishing to see humans lose sight of the ideals and emotions they stand for- ultimately losing themselves and becoming their own undoing and leading to their demise. Their destruction would lead to Null’s ideal empty world.
Over the centuries, Null had instigated problems to prompt out fae and their holders. After drawing them out and defeating them, he would steal their powers. Null also has the ability to share these powers he’s accumulated but has lacked control with this skill; causing him to scarcely use it in the past.
In a battle centuries ago, Tikki, Plagg, Trixx, Wayzz, Pollen, and Nooroo had faced Null. Null’s final attack had bound the six to the jewelry they were in, forcing them to stay close to the miraculous and limiting the amount of power their holders had access to.
Null was nowhere to be found after his final attack, and the now confined faeries entrusted their new miraculous to the holders while they slept inside of them to regain their strength.

With that last story out of the way, let's do a little recap of 2024 in terms of me writing smut. This is only the second year that I've done it, and god, I've written so much. I don't think I'll keep up this pace next year. Or maybe I will, who knows.
I published a total of 19 new stories of very different lengths, for 72,999 new words in total. Some highlights in terms of writing:
I took part in the Rare Kink Buffet event and posted six stories for it: Go Fuck Yourself (one of only three Ladybug/Shadybug stories, but I think that's mostly due to other people tagging things differently), The Full Black Cat Experience, which is fairly popular yet somehow got zero comments, Hand Stuff, The Go-Between and Cozy for Miraculous, and Other Uses for Blood Bending as my first work in another fandom (Avatar the Last Airbender).
I took part in a thanksgiving-focused event (the idea being to produce smut that americans can secretly read at the thanksgiving dinner table) with A Lady's Secret.
For the Miraculous Ladybug Hurt/Comfort Prompt Meme I wrote Sprained Relationship.
The ML Kink Meme run by @fuckyeahladybug took off, getting a lot of new works by several writers, and I added three of them: My House, My Company, My Nathalie, featuring toxic post-resurrection AU Eminath; Venom, featuring Zoénette doing some experiments, and Playing the Part, featuring some illicit sex between Tom Dupain and (adult) Alya Césaire. Especially the latter is absolutely not everybody's cup of tea, and that's okay, but it was a very interesting writing challenge. Only one of them is a self prompt fill, but I'm not going to state which one.
Apart from the Zoénette one, there's also been a lot of Chloé this year: When Friends Come From Afar, published just a few hours ago, and Smile!, my first planned multi-chapter smut story (though really it's not much longer than some of my one-shots), both with Adrien, Marinette and Chloé. There's also A Thief's Punishment, which is just Marinette and Chloé and some accidental (but well-deserved) bondage.
My passion for stupid Marigami continued with Make-Up and Hair Cuts and also showed up in Dance Floors and Dragons, which I wrote to create some more canonical ship tags.
I branched out into some different fandoms, with the aforementioned "Other Uses for Blood Bending" and Secret of the Stone for Tomb Raider (reboot era), which I wrote on a whim. I wonder whether people would be upset if I wrote a second version of this in the Miraculous Ladybug universe with Nathalie instead…
Not fitting into any of the categories I just made up on the spot are Phones Must Stay Off During Movie Night, a fun thing to write but I have no idea where it'll go next, and Sleepy, written because I was sleepy.
Last but not least, For Science! got an update, but I can't really take credit for it, as @akumatisedhamster contributed some great art for it. Thank you so much!
As for next year: I promise absolutely nothing. However, I want to continue writing. I have a lot of WIPs, both new ones I started this year and old ones I've had in my mind (and partially on the page) for ages. There is some Adrinette, Ladynoir, Marichat, Chlobrina and a lot of other things brewing; we'll see where they get to. And I definitely want to get into some relationship tags I haven't used yet. Alyanette, for example.
I think Miraculous Ladybug will remain my main fandom, but I don't think it'll be my only one. We'll see what ideas hit me. I'd also like to participate in some more fandom events, but no specific plans yet. I have ideas for more fills for ML Kink Meme prompts as well.
And it's also possible that I just won't write very much, since I do have other hobbies as well. We'll see how it goes.
Anyway, thank you so much for all the kudos and comments and bookmarks. I've had way more fun writing smutty stories than I ever expected thanks to you all!

ngl writing is secondary to art in closed species. You don't have an ML for stories, your MYO slot isn't just a written description. It needs to be art. Therefore, I totally understand the reason why some just don't do writing prompts.
Like what's the point?
Especially for character values, if said character gets traded their personality and even name gets changed, but the art is mostly kept even as a redesign. Your literature though? Probably gone. Also probably why i dont see people trading ocs with writing. Also why most people allow gift art but not gift writing. To the 500 words weekly anon, that's a you species thing I think. In one of my species, the requirement was either a clean sketch or 5 sentences.
You got that right, 5 sentences.
I went for the clean sketches because that's much more valuable than 5 fucking sentences.
- Like what’s the point?
The point is there are writers who have OCs as well, who may want to write and build stories with their OCs? Honestly this is kind of a baffling ask, you seem confused that there are writers and people who don’t trade their characters out there lol.

OG! Penelope Eckhart Headcanons: The System
Part 5!
Now, Penelope's System is vastly different from Siyeon's. I feel like Siyeon's system is much more helpful in giving information.
—— Again, MAJOR SPOILERS! ——
Siyeon's System
The System seems to be able to be sensed by those of high magic sensitivity, seeing as Winter deduced that Siyeon had a high magic presence on the Eve of the Hunt.
Dialogue Choices On/Off: I guess this kind of acts as an OOC filter which Siyeon can toggle on and off.
Affection Scores: It appears as percentages above the heads of the MLs. Upon reaching 70%, the percentage becomes locked and only a discerning color is given.
Rewards: Usually percentage increases in affection, fame, and popularity with Eckhart servants. For tangible rewards, they are usually given through actual characters, not by the System itself(Crossbow, Camouflage Bracelet, Gold)
Money System: The System can keep track of the personal funds that Siyeon accumulates.
Magic: The System is able to prompt Siyeon into using magic by providing spell incantations or descriptions of what magical artifacts do.
Background Information: Siyeon can access basic information about MLs and Penelope Eckhart. Later on, the story of Laila and the original Penelope is told to her via the System.
Teleportation: Limited, as it can only teleport Siyeon to continue the story's progression. Siyeon can't prompt it to teleport her to a different location.
Story Progression: Relating to teleportation, the System can lead Siyeon to places such as the garden maze to further chapter progression through glittering light trails.
Story Chapters/Events: Helps Siyeon discern potential events by giving a prior warning. For example, the hunting competition hunting portion. In addition, it provides her selection choices such as in the Trial.
Corporeality: The System can be blocked by physical entities such as bodies, as in the case of Winter.
Marksman Help/Mini Games: The System displayed targets for Siyeon to take down the bear, and during the assassin chase, took control of Siyeon's body to give her perfect marksmanship.
Transmigration & Reincarnation: The System has offered these options for Siyeon and Ivonne respectively at the end of the story.
Penelope's System
Unlike Siyeon's system, Penelope's does not help her in terms of the story. Siyeon's is a romantic storyline System, Penelope's is an action-genre type(befitting their different paths).
Stats: Penelope is able to see her stats and level up on them as well. These include Strength, Intelligence, Wisdom, Constitution, Mana, and Charisma.
Strength and Constitution are stats that are time-dependent, so they reset each loop back to her initial stats. Charisma is physical appearance and mental charisma, so it gets knocked down a little.
Mana doesn't change, but it may affect her body if her Constitution is too weak.
The System sometimes gives her stat points to allocate to certain stats or skills.
Soul Status: As alluded to in Part 4, Penelope can track her soul shards easier through the System. Right now, they're "orbiting" around the biggest piece, which is Penelope.
Inventory: Ah, the classic video game inventory. It can carry anything of any shape, size(to some extent), organic/inorganic, except living, sentient beings. A shame.
However, she found a cheat to hack the System and her inventory doesn't get wiped after each death. It's her money glitch. She's duplicated money, jewels, kept copies of her wardrobe, sentimental items unique to each loop, priceless artifacts, and other supplies. However, certain artifacts of great power cannot be duplicated.
Because of this, she often requests as many unique and commissioned gems and custom dresses as possible. What's the point of having six of the same dress?
Library: A subcategory of the Inventory. Throughout her travels, Penelope slowly accumulated tomes, scrolls, and written knowledge of the Ancient Wizards, usually found when treasure hunting or pulling an Indiana Jones and breaking through traps. Of course, being the last Ancient Wizard, she's able to easily figure them out. Other archaeological excavations have ended up in failure because the triggered traps destroy the vaults of knowledge entirely.
Background Information: It acts more like her notes compiled about locations or people. The System organizes them into the correct sections, but all of the information is what Penelope has been told, overheard, or otherwise gotten from her interactions, not from the System.
In some rare cases, the System will give her some information. It's not necessarily specific or important information. It may be, for example, information about a foreign culture.
Story Progression: This is actually linked to one of her skills, which is "precognition". It technically isn't, but Penelope is much more attuned to a world's "Story" and thus can predict some major events through gut feelings and her sharp mind. The System helpfully records these instances for her.
System Shop: From physical items to even skills, the System Shop has it all. A mix of real currency and System-specific currency can be used.
Intangibility: It cannot be interfered with by those other than Penelope.
Connection to Spirits: As mentioned, Penelope is followed by a group of spirits, some of them her ancestors. They are connected to her via the System as well, though they cannot access it like she can. Think of them as being on Guest Mode on a computer while Penelope's on Administrator.
These are the ones I can think of for now. As with the rest of the OG!Penelope posts, I'll be adding onto them if I think of new things, even if that section has already been posted. Not sure how.

top 5 fics you've written!!
Ooo, that's a tricky one! I'm only gonna consider finished Ao3 autonomous fics - there's so many WIPs in my folders, so many enticing ideas that haven't turned into real fics (yet)... I've also written quite a bit for the Magic: Expanded Multiverse project (Magic the Gathering fics, but keeping the worldbuilding roots and giving a wide berth to canon) and permutations of my own OCs there, but calling most of them - and especially my fave to write - fully autonomous fics would be a bit disingenuous, I feel. I'm still pretty proud of those, though.
So, without further ado and in no particular order, these are the 5 fics that come to mind right now when I think of being the best for me, in combined terms of quality and importance for myself and my growth as a writer:
Dragon's Blood: a classic fairy tale about princes, dragons and maidens fair... with a twist. I've had a lot of fun, experimenting with the narrative tone! The connection with the original media is practically nonexistent - a wink to a certain character of the aforementioned MtG fan project.
The Antlion's Den: A Naruto recursive fanfic. I have an undying appreciation for what @jumpingjacktrash did for me just by existing and posting his stories, so when I had the inspiration to make recursive fics of his work I jumped at the chance to... return the favor, in a sense? The Antlion's Den is the meatier of the two fic, featuring his OC being cute, my OC being a bastard and a bigass fight at the end... when he said it was the best recursive fic he had ever received it easily made my week - I still smile at the thought.
Farewell gifts: This is a shared spot with Breaking Point and Woven In, really - they are my first steps in the Miraculous "fanficdom", but while Breaking Point features one of my best tropes ever and it's my very first ML (and Loveybug!) fic, Farewell Gifts features the Mariwalker post-reveal scene I wrote in THREE DIFFERENT FICS (wtf) and most importantly it was the first time I tried to engage a sweet, adorable teenage romance on its terms - I'm way more used to write gritty fights, bitchy dialogue and angst.
Undercover: the first smut I publicly shared! It was so exciting, to explore this whole new genre, weaving fluff and smut with no further goal than indulging my writing itch! And the response was incredible, it gave me so much confidence to continue and eventually write Augmentation and its continuation, which I'm pretty sure I'll finish writing at some point. Speaking of long-awaited conclusions...
Are Hexagon Square Dances a Thing?: if you had asked me a few weeks ago, this wouldn't have made the cut. I was so excited to join in @asukiess's Valentine Week celebration of Loveybug, figuring out a way to use all the LoveyWeek prompts to build some sort of plot (with @mostmagical's amazing help) and daily posting was so much fun! ...until it came to a jarring stop. The very last chapter got stuck in my brain sideways, and it took me EIGHT MONTHS to get through it. It soured the whole memory of that delightful week for me, so I'm glad I was able to finish it. To keep with the First Times theme, this was the first fandom event I joined in my life! And except for that snag at the end, I had a grand time.
Thank you for the ask! It was cool, to look back at my work this way 💜
