Thanks for the tags lads! I have hundreds and HUNDREDS of wips so I will only share a select few of their titles lol~
Rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have wips. (You can make your own post or reblog this one!)  I have deemed that this isn’t just for writing either. Sketch titles? Comics? Dnd campaigns? If you have an unfinished project, it counts!!

Question about that Miraculous Ladybug/Princess Mononoke AU I may or may not have started a WiP for...
Would people find it more interesting for Adrien/Chat Noir or for Adrien/Chat Blanc to be in the Princess Mononoke role? I can see it either way but both versions of Chat have their pros and cons storywise.

Sweet Dreams - Mariblanc
The lovely @xhanisai got a totally innocent ask and my brain went and slaughtered that idea. I'm so sorry for the anon who wrote the cute idea. Here's the original, less angsty version of this.
Tumblr media
@xhanisai This is what you get for baiting me :3 ^_^ 🤣😇
Warnings: hallucinations, blood, nightmares, injury, trauma, angst
There was laughter, her laughter.
The tranquil water was only disturbed by the kicking of their feet, splashes and giggles echoing in the vacant rubble of what used to be the ice-skating rink. A place they used to visit what seemed a lifetime ago.
“Can’t you stay for a little while longer, Marinette?” her kitty had a pout on his lips and Marinette laughed.
“Sorry kitty, my parents will wonder where I am by now,” she was about to stand, but her kitty was faster, quick to lend her his hand and help her to her feet. Marinette dusted herself off, a bright smile on her lips but her gaze filled with sadness. “I’m really sorry Chat Blanc, I really wish I could stay for longer.”
Chat Blanc understood, she had family to return to, even though he knew she had more fun with him, felt happier with him.
With a thoughtful expression on his face and amusement in his eyes, Chat Blanc waved his hand. “Watch this purrincess!”
With a single flick of his wrist, a pure white ball of energy crashed into a building, leaving it in nothing but rubble and dust. Marinette liked it, she clapped and laughed, when he bowed and inspected his claws in triumph, when the remains of the building sank into the water.
Marinette always smiled and laughed around him and that was all he ever wanted.
They skipped stones and small pieces of rubble at the vast body of water surrounding them, they danced in the shallower puddles and swam in the deeper ones. In these empty plains of white, Marinette was the only color in his life.
Sometimes, her expression would change, but he would blame it on his eyes playing tricks.
Her smiles would vanish, flicker like a failing light. Her eyes would be filled with joy in one moment, then in tears the next.
Sometimes, when he gripped her hand or wrist, he could swear he saw blood on them, but when he looked at his hands, they were pure white.
In this world full of emptiness, Marinette’s ever-changing form was a source of comfort for him.
She would smile at him, but when he blinked, she was doing everything in her power to get away from him.
He found these games of hers entertaining, a fun activity they could do together. No harm would ever come to her, she would always safely return back into his arms.
Marinette would sometimes yelp or cry out playfully, complaining how his hug was too tight. He would only hug her tighter, kissing the top of her head sweetly as she struggled.
He always liked these games of theirs, where she pretended to run away or be scared and he would indulge her, knowing she would always be safe with him.
Sometimes, he would see blood on her, her blood, but it would disappear on the blink of an eye. A figment of his imagination.
She would smile at him again, with trembling lips and quivering knees.
He blamed it on all the running they did. No matter how fast she ran, he always caught her.
~~~~~~~~~~
Dreams of that incident visited her every night, when the lights were turned off and the full moon was the only source of light.
Marinette turned and twisted, trying to get away, get away from him.
Her dreams, no, her nightmares were always the same.
There would be a portal, Bunnix’s portal, and he would come for her and take her into his world.
She would tremble at the sight of his icy blue eyes, sometimes vacant and staring off into the distance, other times nearly manic and elated at her presence.
Sometimes, he would not let her go.
They would spend the day playing in puddles, in the ocean that filled every space, walking on the edge of ruined buildings, a dangerous game Marinette played to ensure he would be happy.
And she would smile and laugh, just like he would, to conceal the budding terror in her heart and the urge to flee.
And he would always ask, in every nightmare she had, if she couldn’t stay a little while longer.
She would see the broken boy singing to himself on a rooftop, a hint of her partner’s genuine emotion somewhere behind those blue eyes, but it would vanish as quickly as it came.
She would always say she was sorry, she couldn’t stay, no matter how much she wished, with a promise to see him the next day. She would run towards the portal, desperate to escape the frozen hell he was equally as desperate to keep her in.
He would give chase sometimes, he said it was fun.
Exciting.
A game he loved to play. A game he thought she loved too, oblivious to the pounding of her heart and the burn in her legs.
Marinette would run as fast as her legs could carry her, but she could never escape him.
It made her cry.
But it always made him laugh.
Her ears still ring with his cold honeyed voice, filled with manic affection and detached awareness. She never left her window open, but she still experienced chills every night.
Tikki was always there when she woke up, rubbing her cheek and whispering sweet reassurances, the words would always be the same.
‘It’s okay, you’re alright, you’re safe.’
‘It’s over, Marinette.’
‘He’s not coming back.’
Oh, but he was, he was there when she closed her eyes, he was there when she fell back into bed to sleep.
He was there whenever she saw the dark butterfly coming dangerously close to Chat Noir. Too close.
Chat Blanc was there in her nightmares, every night since the incident. Tikki would try to reassure her it were only bad dreams, that he couldn’t hurt her.
But it did. It hurt so much.
Her dreams were always filled with colors of white and blue. Not black, never black, not the familiar color of his suit or the darkness that claimed her in sleep.
There was only white and blue.
And red, so much red.
Alright. So. Miraculous
AU where everyone is in college and it’s actually a lot more serious (and not actually meant for kids) but Ladybug is the only superhero and somehow Alya and Luka are like best friends and are “the mean popular kids” or smth (but in truth they’re just nerds with insane crushes on Nino and Chloe(who’s just a normal girl and isn’t rich)) and find out about Ladybug’s secret identity. But she doesn’t go to their school so they have no idea who she is. A couple weeks later the same girl with blue pigtails walks by them and they notice it. Luka and Alya corner Marinette tell her they know she’s ladybug and force her to be their slave (what they do can be whatever you think of idk) and then one night when marinette is crying her bed, she notices a boy with insane blue eyes and a white cat suit on eating her through her window. The mass murderer, Chat Blanc.
MEMORIES (CHAT BLANC)
Previous
A couple of hours later, Marinette and Alya were talking in front of the school
"It's a miracle! You are early today!"
"Yeah, my mom gave me this weird Chinese tea and I slept like a baby" I even cried like one! She thought
A familiar car interrupted their conversation
"Oh, Hi Adrien! How was your weekend?" The annoying liar said as soon as the blonde stepped outside the car. She noticed what he was wearing and an idea came to her mind. She was skipping some points of her plan, but she wouldn't let that opportunity go "I see that you're wearing the scarf I made!"
"What?" Two voices said in unison, one more scandalized than the other.
The girl put both of her hands on her mouth and looked at him with false regret.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I'm sorry! It was supposed to be a secret!" She looked at him guilty
Adrien sighed
"What secret, Lila? " he said with tiredness hoping that as soon as she finished, she would leave him alone
"Oh! Am..." she played with her fingers trying to look nervous "I was actually the one who made the scarf... I told your father that it would be a nice present for you for your birthday and, ah– we both agreed that he would say that it was from him. He was really busy that week because of a fashion show so I thought–" She stopped shyly.  Yeah, it was the perfect lie, everyone knew that she worked Grabriel Agreste in some photoshoots
Friday night after the so called superheroes 'saved' her because she was possessed by an akuma (she was mad about it. She couldn't managed to even get close to the stupid girl's house when the defeated her), Lila made some research and was ready to be the center of attention again, special of the model's, at all costs. "I'm so sorry! I didn't meant to tell you the truth! Would you forgive me?"
Really? Adrien thought. That was one of the worst lies she'd ever told him. He was more than sure that his father had made that present. Besides, not in a million years Lila would ever convince his father of something like that.
"And why would I believe you?" The words were out of his mouth before he could stop them. Great job Agreste, now the conversation got even longer!
Lila opened her eyes surpised without having expected it, but she quickly recovered.
"You know, don't tell anybody, but... I've won some of the Grabiel Agreste's contests in the past. The thing is that I signed up anonymously 'cause I didn't want to be in the spotlight at such young age. You understand that, right?"  She said loudly enough for all the students around to hear it. She pretended not to notice and put on her already well known innocent face.
Alya's mouth couldn't be more open. She was shocked, was her hearing okay? She wasn't sure anymore. Why was LILA, of all people, lying about something special for someone? Why was she lying about the contents? Alya knew exactly who won!  Why was Lila lying at all? It didn't make any sense. The worse thing was that the brunette was trying to get the credit of something her BESTFRIEND made.
On the other hand, Marinette barely heard her verbal vomit in the back of her mind, she was more focused on the cold blue feline eyes staring at her from across the street. Cat ears and suit so white that it stood out from all the people who passed by.
Marinette panicked.  What is he doing here? she asked herself. She shook her head. There was no time to think.
She needed to find a place to transform.
She needed to protect her Miraculous.
She needed to protect her friends.
She needed to get ready to fight
...Why wasn't he attacking her?  Why wasn't he claiming her miraculous?
He already knew her secret identity, he had the perfect opportunity, she was kn her civilian form.
And she knew what he wanted, right? There was no need to make any pre-fight drama
People passed in front of him as if it were something so common that they did not care, as if the sunlight did not make him stand out even more, as if he was not really there.
Am I hallucinating? Am I so traumatized?
While she was in her mental mess, Chat blanc watched her completely calm, crossed his arms and leaning against the wall near an alley. Suddenly, he straightened completely, began to walk towards it without haste and just before entering the dark and lonely place, he turned his head to look at her for a moment, smiled, and then disappeared.  As if he knew she was going to follow him.
Marinette couldn't make more than three steps when Alya stopped her by taking her arm.
"Where are you going? Aren't you gonna tell Adrien the truth about the scarf? About everything she's saying?" Her friend said incredulous.  She was expecting that at least Marinette would even be outraged that someone was using her kind gift for their own benefit.  Especially if her long-time crush was involved!
"I'm sure Adrien doesn't believe her. He's not dumb" She didn't turned her head to talk to her
"But–!"
"I'll talk to him later if that's what you want" the bluenette cut her "I need to check something. See you in class." without waiting an answer, Marinette ran towards the alley hoping he was still there... even if it was just some illusion of her broken mind
I was supposed to post this along with the previous part, but I was blocked and I got stressed, so I just split it up in two parts.
Also I haven't written anything about the gods au cause I'm still block about that. Same with the Dimensions (but at least I have something about this one).
And I have a new Idea (of course I do🤦🏽‍♀️) inspired in an Au I read somewhere. (I obviously will change some things) but I'm not sure if I'm going to post it 'cause I'm not planning on writing about it, just Origins and what would be the end of it🤷🏽‍♀️
PS: Did you know is Daminette December? I didn't until this morning. I don't ship them, but if any of you do, can you explain me... why? I mean I'm not against it, I'm just curious
ML AU - Sleepy Marinette in The Akuma Castle
Had this thought last night so now I’m going to make it today. For those following the recently released anime, Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle; this is a tale using that as the inspired setting.
The Kingdom of Miracula has had their Princess kidnapped by the Dreaded King of Akumas, Blanc.
Akumas are the mortal enemy of Mankind ever since their creation by The Ancient Conjurer known as Papillon, The Great Monarch. After his defeat, the Akumas went into hiding as the Humans Purged them from all the lands.
Blanc plans to use this as a means to motivate the Kingdoms Heroes to challenge them and have them defeated by his hands to prove to Humanity that Akumas are not to be trifled with.
The Great Hero, Noir; along with his companions Carapace, Viperion, and Ryuko journey to the Akuma Capital and to The Blanc Estate (Akuma Castle) to rescue the Princess.....unfortunately the Hero is Prone to Terrible Luck and it has made their Journey much longer then it should be. It doesn’t help that they are all technically novice adventurers.
Marinette, the Princess of Miracula; was always quite the busy Bug and would often find herself either working hard for her kingdom or sleeping. Since she is a Prisoner, she decided that she would spend most of her time resting.
Unfortunately for her, the Cell she is in isn’t the most comfortable place so she is constantly “breaking” out of Prison to find supplies to make her living conditions better. This usually creates Chaos in the Blanc Wstate for all the Akumas stationed there including The King of Akumas, Blanc.
During one of her adventures in the Estate, she discovered an ancient artifact called a Miraculous. A creature named Tikki appeared and was more then ready to help her escape the “Dreaded Akumas”, however; after trying to Lucky Charm a Cloud like Bed only to get a Hard Table, she stopped using Tikki entirely.
As time goes on, The Princess slowly begins to view this “prison” of hers as a Home and the Akumas have gradually begun to care for the Princess, including the ever-so-melancholy Blanc.
Blanc Skies (ML one-shot)
Summary: Little kitty on the rooftop, Not alone For he has his Lady.
(In which Chat Blanc was able to win.)
---
Also read on ao3.
Contains a character with possessive and controlling behaviors while akumatized.
-------
Silver claws swiped forward, breaking the water’s edge as the gleaming fish swam near the surface. Claws hooked into scales, flipping the creature up and out of the water as the rest of them scattered. Another clawed hand snagged the fish out of the air, icy blue eyes watching humorously as it struggled in his grasp.
Chat Blanc let out a purr as he hooked the fish to his belt, pleased with the meal he had caught. It became easier each time, using crumbs and the remains of the last fish to lure more to the surface. And something about fishing, about hunting, felt so natural– and he couldn’t help but preen as he drew out his staff, vaulting across the watery ruins of Paris.
Once the sight had filled him with a bitter sorrow, a pain that had refused to relent. For months he had suffered in this abyss, in this silence, with no escape from the destruction he had created with his own hand. Some days he had shouted and screamed, others he had sobbed and begged, but nothing could change the reality he lived in. He had thought there was no escape, the days blurring, to the point where he was singing just to pretend the echoes belonged to someone else.
And then an angel had graced him with her presence, the one he had thought he had lost returning to his arms.
He used cars and drifting debris as a bridge across Paris, his baton propelling makeshift boats forward. His heart soared at the thought of her, and his eyes locked on the building in the distance. It was one of the few with any part of it above the water, and though it was minimal compared to the one he had collapsed in his burst of anger, but it was enough for who it held– which to him was the entire world.
He leapt up onto the roof of the old hotel, staring out at the empty landscape, a smile flickering onto his face, before climbing down through the roof entrance.
“Princess,” he purred as he slunk down the hallway, but he heard no reply. His heartbeat picked up at this, and he had to fight the akuma within him to keep his anger and fear from spiking. He knew that she had been quiet these last few days, and she most certainly wasn’t gone.
She had tried running twice, and he didn’t understand why– there was nowhere and no one else to go to. He had moved her to somewhere safer though, and she didn’t have the same agility as him to reach the roof (he had Cataclysm-ed the stairs as a precaution). So far this building had proved to be secure, even with most of its levels sunken under water, but he knew they couldn’t stay here forever.
Soon Paris would run out of salvageable resources for them, and they would need to move on. He didn’t know where they would go or what they would find, but as long as he was by Marinette’s side he could protect her.
“Princess,” he said softly again as he reached the room she had been staying in, nudging the door open. Again, he heard no reply, but he did hear her sharp intake of breath as he slunk into the room. “I brought you some food. I just need to cook it up for you, I know you must be hungry, you haven’t eaten at all today.”
He could vaguely remember what it was like to be hungry. His akuma empowered him in many ways, including having no need for food. He was more than happy to prepare some for his Lady, and he slipped the fish he had caught into a cooler near the door. He hummed to himself, wishing that Marinette would say something back to him– but her being here was enough.
With the fish now safely tucked away he turned his focus towards Marinette. With no electricity the room was dim, but thanks to light streaming in from the window he could see her form quite easily curled up on the bed. Even if it was dark he would still be able to see her with his night vision, which was wonderful. Marinette was here once more, and nothing could keep them apart again.
He strolled up to the bed she laid on, not paying heed to the way she tensed nor the way her heart rate jumped. His ears flicked as he studied her, the way she struggled to keep her ragged breathes smooth and even– Marinette was pretending to be asleep. The sight was so adorable that he couldn’t help but let out another purr, crawling across the hotel bed as he moved closer towards her, wrapping his arms around her.
“I know you’re awake,” he told Marinette, and she let out a small gasp. “I can hear your heart,” his claws hands fell across right where it laid in her chest. “You’re awake, and you’re alive– isn’t that wonderful?”
Her heart still thundered loudly as she tensed, taking in a sharp breath. The scent of salt tickled his nose as he pulled her closer, her back to his chest. She was angry, and she was crying. Chat let out a sigh, but chose to ignore it, burying his nose into her hair, taking in her wonderful scent instead. He thought he would never have this again– but she was right here.
“You’re still upset about the earrings, aren’t you?” He finally asked, and for the first time that day he finally heard her wonderful voice.
“Yes,” she choked out, voice full of bitterness as she struggled against a sob.
He sighed, but it would only be a matter of time before her anger faded. She would forgive him eventually– she always did, after all. He didn’t want to wait, in fact the akuma in him seemed to be urging his anger to spark, but he always managed to calm it down. He had waited alone for months just to see her once again, he could wait just a bit longer for things to become perfect between them.
“I’m sorry,” he told her with complete sincerity. She did love being Ladybug, and he had taken that from her.
But he had no other choice– with the Ladybug earrings there was a means to rid him from the clarity he had gained as Chat Blanc, and her restoration powers could bring back everything... including him.
He let out a growl without thinking, and instantly she tensed in his arms. His guilt tugged at him as he realized her fear was sparking, and he ran his fingers through her hair in hopes of calming her. She had kept trying to put it up in pigtails these last few days, and in the end he had to Cataclysm her hair ties to keep it down. He preferred her hair down– it reminded him of better times.
“It’s better this way,” he told her for what felt like the millionth time. “You showed me that, remember? A wish had it’s price, a risk– and now we don’t have to worry about that.”
He had been so focused on gaining her Miraculous when she had first showed up, and he was sure it was the akuma in him. The last lingering orders of... that man. Of course his mind had set its sights on the wish to restore what had been done, and he had nearly succeeded. His fight with his Lady had been a long one, and it was sheer luck (strange, that it had been granted to him instead of her) that he had been able to claim one of the earrings from her.
Taking the other had been simple once her powers had dispersed.
She had been crying as he had done so, begging for him to stop, calling out for Bunnyx. It was somewhere in his frazzled mind that he had realized she must have been from another time, which made sense. Where else would she have come from? He had admitted that his isolation had driven his mind to its limits, but with his Lady back it had become clearer with every minute, including the realization of what asking for a wish would entail– which she had fervently reminded him as he had put the earrings into his own ears, her last attempt to stop him.
And she had been right, what was the point of making a wish to restore this world when her Miraculous Ladybug could do just that? A wish that would come with a devastating price? It was a power beyond their control... and did he really need the whole world back? A world of danger and selfish people? A world where he had been controlled like a puppet? A world with... that man?
Why did he need the world back when his entire world was in front of him?
Her cry had been painful when he had Cataclysm-ed her earrings, and watching the last fragment of hope in her eyes shatter was terrible. She didn’t seem to understand that everything was going to be okay, that she would be safe with him. She still didn’t understand that, but he would be patient.
“You took Tikki,” Marinette hissed, snapping him from his thoughts. A scowl twitched on his face, a part of him twisting with frustration as she mentioned someone else, someone that did not matter when it came to them– but he released it with a laugh.
“Kwamis don’t die, m’lady,” he said, humming as he played with her hair. “It simply removed the dangers of her powers from this realm, that’s all.”
“Your powers are the dangerous ones,” she spat back.
“Hmm,” he said, but had no reply, because her words were true. His powers were dangerous, as he had used them to attack her– twice. But one had been when Hawk Moth had been whispering in his ear, and the other was when his insanity had a strong hold on him. Now all was well, and his abilities were to be used to protect her now, as they had always been. “When do you want to eat?”
“I’m not hungry, Chat,” she replied, and his heart fluttered as she said his name.
“You haven’t eaten all day.”
“I’m still not hungry.”
“That’s okay, but you still need to eat. I’ll cook you your dinner in a few minutes, but I just want to lay like this for a little longer,” he pulled her closer, snuggling against her.
His words were a lie– he wanted to be like this forever. But unlike him she needed the food, and it was his job to watch over her. He wished that she would just melt into his embrace like she had before all this had happened, but instead she tried to move away. He just wrapped his arms around her tighter, waiting until she settled down.
To her their time together had never happened, which was painful, but she was still his same Marinette. He had debated telling her who had once been under the mask, knowing that was who this Mari carried feelings for, but it felt wrong to use that name. Just as wrong as when she called him Chat Noir– because he wasn’t either of them anymore. He was Chat Blanc, a blank slate for his new start– with no responsibilities save for the care of this wonderful woman in front of him.
Though a part of him still melted when she did call him Chat Noir– for it was the only name that had ever been his that hadn’t been given to him by that man.
He preferred not to think about that.
“Leave me alone,” Marinette spat, and this time he couldn’t keep the anger of his akuma back. His grip on her tightened, and he flipped her over so they were facing each other. Her beautiful blue eyes mirrored his with rage, each glowering at the other, but he could see her resolve withering under his slitted glare.
“Marinette,” he said slowly, hands tightly gripping her shoulders. “My love,” his words might have seemed kind if he wasn’t speaking with a hiss. “I don’t think you want to ask that of me. After all, I know plenty of being alone, and I can promise you it is a fate I would never inflict upon you. However, you saying such leaves the impression that you want to leave me alone– again. Would you really do that to your Kitty, My Lady?”
His akuma told him to whisper threats, but even with the anger roaring through him he tucked them away. His Lady was to protect after all, and if something were to happen he knew he wouldn’t get another second chance to protect her.
“Ch-chat–” she stuttered out, and instantly everything softened– his grip, his expression, his anger. His purr rumbled out from his throat as he pulled her back into his embrace, holding her tightly against him. She was here, he wasn’t alone anymore– she was here.
“I love you,” he whispered to her. “I love you so much.”
His eyes snapped open in surprise as he felt her returning his embrace, her fingers running through his white hair. He took in a sharp breath, holding her just a bit closer, and she sighed against him.
“I know you do, Chaton, I know,” she told him softly, all anger gone, and he felt tears stinging his eyes. This wasn’t the first time she had shown him a softness in these last few days since he had destroyed her Miraculous, but still it swept him away every time. And he was sure it wouldn’t be long until this was the only side of her he saw.
“I love you, Marinette,” he told her again, because he was sure she didn’t understand. “I don’t want to lose you again.”
“You’re the most important person in my life,” she replied gently– as this Marinette from the past would never utter the words ‘love’ to him. “And it hurts so much to know I have lost you.”
“I’m right here.” Why couldn’t she see that? That Noir was just a shadow to the brilliance he was now?
She pulled back, blue eyes staring into each other. Hers were deep, like the ocean– while his were like ice, shattered. He hungrily took in every feature of her face, as if he would forget it if he were to look away. His breath hitched as she ran a hand down the side of his face. It wasn’t affection, as there was only concern in her eyes, but he would take whatever he could get.
“You are there,” she finally concluded. “Deep down I know you’re in there, Chat Noir.”
Perhaps Noir was, but that didn’t matter as long as he stayed hidden away.
He could kiss her right then and there, but he knew that wouldn’t be right. Such a bold step in affection would be too far for the Marinette that didn’t remember their time together. He would have to take the steps to get there slowly, and while the thought of her not remembering hurt, he was excited to go down that path with her once more. He instead settled for a soft kiss on the check, and he purred when she didn’t pull away.
“Do you want some food, love?” He asked.
“...If we can eat outside,” she said after a moment. “I don’t want to be in this room for another minute.”
He beamed. “Of course, just let me get your dinner ready, then we can go up on the roof.”
He didn’t want to move away from her, but still he rolled off of the bed, making his way to the cooler where the fish was waiting. Perhaps when they left Paris he could offer her more than seafood and whatever cans of food he found floating in the water outside. Maybe they could find somewhere where the ground still stood and was covered in lush plants– they could make a garden! Marinette had always loved her potted plants on her balcony!
But for now they would have their dinner on the rooftop, and this time he wouldn’t be alone– for he had his Lady.
More of ghost blanc AU PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Aightyo~! Here’s a little drabble I’ve concocted up on the spot!
~(x)~
“You’re him...aren’t you?” Marinette addressed the white figure with as much courage and bravery as she could possibly muster, clutching her purse with a white-knuckled grip. “I’ve had my suspicions for a while...but now I know...it’s you.”
She didn’t dare to move a muscle, the darkness and quiet of the hallway in the school created an eerie atmosphere. In the beginning, it would have frightened the French-Chinese girl without a doubt; she understood the presence better now.
“...and who am I, Marinette?” His voice was soft and full of melancholy despite the smile that was plastered on his face, pale feline ears drooping.
“You’re Chat Noir...my Chaton...from that timeline, right?”  Marinette took a small step forward, brows furrowed and sapphire eyes full of worry. “All this time...you’ve helped me in the shadows...saving me from that car accident...pushing me off that building so that I didn’t get shot...always there for me...”
Chat Blanc didn’t say anything, merely watching the girl as his body solidified more yet maintaining the ethereal look that made him seem inhuman.
“I thought I saved you...” Tears were starting to pool in her eyes and her hands reached up to cup his cheeks, hesitating to make physical contact, hovering a breath away from his skin.
“My love for you is very strong, My Lady. Not even time would stop me from aiding you,” Blanc attempted to grasp her wrists so that her hands could rest on his cheeks only for his flesh to pass through hers and it was then that the excruciating sadness in his heart mourned once more.
Marinette couldn’t stop the wet gasp that escaped her, bringing her hands back to herself and eyeing the slender digits in horror.
“Maybe...this is my punishment for what I did to you, everyone and the world.” Chat Blanc laughed brokenly, stepping away from the girl. “I’m a monster.”
“No! No you’re not! That’s not fair on you at all! You were akumatised! If anything, it was Le Papillon’s fault...it was my fault! I couldn’t help you-”
“Don’t be stupid.” His sharp tone halted her spiralling, a dangerous glint in his eyes taking her breath away. “All you ever did was make me happy...and love me! The memories that we made together was what helped me fight back the cold, lonely insanity that tried to corrupt me during my solitude in the empty world.”
“Chat Noir...”
“It’s Chat Blanc, Marinette.” Even though his body would simply phase through hers, Blanc attempted to wipe away her tears with a finger.
“How do I save you?” Marinette’s words were no more than a breath, begging for him to be free.
“You can’t.”
“I have to...I must!”
“This is beyond your power, My Lady, Ma Princesse...” With a warm smile, an expression that mirrored her partner in black and...another boy with green eyes, Blanc brought his face towards her and brushed his lips against hers.
For a split second, she felt his lips, a human warmth, a sweet softness, only for his body to fade away for now and appear when she least expected him to.
The designer immediately sank to her knees, pressing her fingers against her lips as tears rolled down her cheeks with much more vigour and before she knew it, she broke down.
‘I failed him...I failed my Chaton again!’ Was what ricocheted in her mind like a mantra despite her little kwami’s pleas and support.
So deep into her misery, she was deaf to a familiar boy’s cries of her name and it was only when he brought her into his arms did she finally come back to the world.
“Marinette! Oh God...Marinette...” Before she knew it, Adrien brought her into a tight embrace with an iron hold, his tan fingers knotting themselves into her hair as he breathed out how relieved he was to see her again.
“A...Adrien?” Marinette rasped, still limp in his arms, too numb to move or even treasure his warmth.
“I thought he took you away...like he threatened to do so.” The blonde teen whispered with anguish, tightening his grip on her. “No matter what I did, no matter how hard I try to keep you close, he comes closer to you!” He pulled back a little so that he could see her confused face, brushing away her fringe with a look of desperation.
“Who?” Marinette suddenly dreaded his answer.
“Listen to me Marinette, please, please, stay away from that Chat Blanc! If you see him again, come to me or Chat Noir. We have to...we WILL protect you!” The shivers on her spine started to send cold sweat down her forehead.
“What’s going on Adrien...? I thought he was just a lost spirit, finding his way?”
“Is that what he told you?”
It was then that Marinette realised she’s never asked him nor did Blanc tell her why he was here. She didn’t want to doubt him...he was her Minou for crying out loud!
“Marinette. Once upon a time, he was m- Chat Noir! But now? Now he’s not. He’s an echo of destruction...something that should NOT exist. And he wants you. I don’t know why but he won’t stop until he has you! Do you understand? You need to stay away from him!”
Adrien’s eyes showed emotions beyond desperation. His teeth clenched with determination...determination to keep her safe. His relentless hold on her never budging- as if he feared that letting her go would mean she’d leave him forever.
He reminded her of Chat Noir and at the same time, the one who called himself Chat Blanc...
“Adrien, do you trust me?” Her question shook him off guard. Adrien pursed his lips in confusion, furrowing his brows. The expression smoothed away when he spotted the fire in her eyes.
“With my life and everything.”
“Then help me help him. Please.”
Since you have other main focuses for writing... Any Chad Sombre headcannons you can give?
-Marinette ends up getting commissioned by Chad for new additions or changes to his Outfit. He does get a cool Chat noir hoodie, custom made out of it. Loves the material.
-Marinette ends up play flirting with Chad a lot and Ladybug has to make a conscious effort NOT to do it as Ladybug.
- Marinette laying awake one night, thinking about the chat blanc incident. How he knew her identity, how he said they were in love. She understood. She could see how it could happen.
Once upon a prologue...
yikesss i haven't posted anything in a while. was busy and then i lost motivation to write but then i watched frozen 2 and bam! idea comes up for a plot i've been struggling with :)) so yes this is chat blanc and marinette stuff based on frozen 1 & 2 (and alice in wonderland kinda), so if u haven't watched frozen 2 uhh i suggest u dont read it yet cuz there might be spoilers (no spoilers in this part tho) so here's the prologue and i'll try my best to be motivated to finish all my wips soon!! :')
---
Once upon a time...
In a enchanted forest with a mind of it's own that it is so very much like wonderland, lived many mystical creatures in harmony. Among them are the Animen, creatures who are half human and half animal. Every animan represents a different animal, and DNA is pretty weird in that forest, so finding the same animal type within immediate family is pretty rare. Many of the other creatures marvel the way their animal characteristics make them seem as though their in a fancy party 24/7, with their human bodies covered by majestic coats of feathers or fur or even scales.
Anyway, let's return from off-track.
The King of the Animen (and consequently the entire forest, but that's not the point here though), a butterfly of great elegance and a peacock with beauty so great she was often seen as a godess, fell in love. Their journey together was one of the most cheesiest romance stories that ended with marraige and then happily ever after. They were happy, fair to all creatures and the epitome of perfection.
But no family is picture perfect. A fairy, who had been a loyal servant to the King, wanted him for herself, so she casted a spell to make the King fall for her instead. Magic and jealously never mixed well though, and rather than the intended effect, the spell brought illness upon the Queen while she was expecting. Soon after was the birth of a child, a black cat with irises so green and so cat-like and wonderfully blond hair like his mother's, and then with a loving kiss to her newborn son's forehead, she was gone.
The King put the blame of his wife's death on his son, and wanted nothing to do with him, even more so when he found out the little one was cursed with powers of destruction. And so he locked his blood and flesh up in a room, isolating him from the world. As the years past, the King was merrily remarried with a new family to the fairy who kept her misdeed to herself. And the boy? He could never learn how to control his powers, never knew what love was like. His powers grew and grew and grew until...
It was too much.
'Evil deafeats love,
And greed removes good,
Because lost are memomies.
Of years past.
When loving becomes cold-hearted,
And green to blue,
White turns black,
And warmth meets ice.'
