Repost @beccastandt ・・・ Last Thursday I was attacked by the police. I live a block from Echo Park Lake. The streets were closed off so I couldn’t leave my apartment to meet a colleague. I walked down a block in the alley next to my apartment to see what was going on. I was standing in the alley with about half a dozen people peacefully observing. I heard some people screaming and turned to see about 20 police in riot gear running towards me. Before I had the chance to run away a police officer threw me to the ground. When I got back up I was hit again by an officer and fell backward hitting my head on the concrete. I couldn’t hear and everything went blurry. A few bystanders pulled me out of harm's way. I began vomiting and could barely walk straight. I ended up in the emergency room for about 4 hours and had various tests and a CT scan done to check for internal bleeding. I am currently recovering from a concussion. Just another example of police brutality. If you have any videos of the incident which occurred around 8:20 PM on Thursday the 25th please share them with me.
