It's #pleinairpril number 5! We are still doing virtual plein airs from my photo collection because it is both COLD and WINDY out here in Ontario right now and I am going to let spring creep along a little farther before I take my setup outside for any length of time.

I chose a reference photo from one of many hikes I've taken with my partner over the years - this one has a northern ontario feel to it, but honestly I couldn't say for sure where we were! What I do remember is the misty distance - one of those days where it's not quite foggy, say, but things just sort of fade into the grey sky as they drop away from you. Magical stuff!
